America Out Loud is the premier news network with a diverse array of talk shows that inform and inspire. A daily resource for smart people.
I'm Stephanie Poxon and I'm Kathy Anderson-Martin, and we are Two Women Influencing Real Life. So let's twirl.
We often hear these days about the border crisis and fentanyl coming into the United States and having a fentanyl crisis and drugs and all kinds of things. And we heard about the open drug market in Philadelphia. Yes. Right. We talked about that.
Overdoses and so forth. So we bring back today a guest who we've had on before. His name is Graham Hetrick. He's been a coroner for over 34 years right here in our area of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. You just gave away where we live.
Yes, I did. And I've heard on many things, had a show on Discovery ID called The Coroner, I Speak for the Dead. And he's going to talk to us, because he has a firsthand seat to a lot of what these drugs and the things that we're hearing about are doing to people today. Yes. So another scary show for today.
Exciting. I'm Stephanie Coxon. And I'm Kathy Anderson-Martin. And we are Two Women Inspiring Real Life. So let's twirl.
Thank you so much for joining us, Graham. We are both excited and scared to talk to you today.
Well, it is scary. It's scary for me because from the very beginning of medical legal death investigation, which I did way back during the Vietnam era, I was a criminal investigator and death investigator, really, in portions of Germany.
And was a provost marshal investigator in Germany and that sort of thing. But you start to figure out that if you look at the way people are dying, it's telling you how we live. And, in short, that's epidemiology. And it gives us signs of what we have to be thinking about in all the all cause deaths we have to do. So, as you guys know, all cause death is up throughout the world, especially in heavy vaccinated countries.
And we also are in a position where we're limited in what we can say as it relates to medicine, because since really the 1960s, but it was peer reviewed work started somewhere before there. But peer, peer review work has been overcome by pharmaceutical and governmental interests as far as funding. And it's the gatekeeper. So when you talk about Lancet or any one of these peer reviewed journals, Nature, you will find that they're very restrictive when it comes out to integrative or functional medicine. And so then you have to look harder for your studies, but it can be done.
One of the more profound books I've I've read, and I was talking to a group of mothers the other day that have young children, and we were talking about, should I vax or should I not vax? And probably one of the hallmark books that I have seen comes out of the Children's Health Defense. And it's written by Robert Kennedy and Brian Hooker, PhD. And that's the book. But you can't get a more scientific book.
So it's vax versus unvax, let the science speak with Robert Kennedy, Jr. and Brian Hooker. That's a great book. I've read that book. Yes.
And I'm trying to get this in to the hands of every mother I can, because.
Because of the suppression of information and the inability to have intellectual dialogue in the area of science, which is what science is supposed to be, you have a hypothesis and you test the hypothesis, then you retest the hypothesis and you retest it. But that open debate no longer exists. So what we have is we have areas in corporate medicine where they have protocols, and the protocols are established many times by studies that are not really that good. And when they are retested, and many, many times, you see inferential statistics used to skew the efficacy of the drug being much higher than what it really is. In the do no harm area, you have to be able to have realistic studies so you can know what your cost benefit analysis is in taking a drug.
One of the interesting doctors, Dr. William Davis, a well-known cardiologist, well-studied cardiologist, points out, he gives a full chapter on the distortion of figures on the very first Lipitor study, where they used an inferential ratio and said, well, you will prevent death from heart attack by lowering your cholesterol and that it will make almost a 40% difference. But that's not what their own statistics show, because they use an inferential ratio.
that will infer that the change in the group not taking the statins as to the group taking the statins was dramatically different, because they don't look at how many people died in this group and that group, they look at the difference of the two groups, and that makes the.
study skewed to a point where they, and you hear doctors say it all the time, well, there's a 40% difference or effectiveness of your statin drugs. Well, it doesn't turn out that way, nor are you seeing a lot of publications with the of risk of Alzheimer's and other problems with the statin drugs. Some of the best work on that was done by Dr. Sebes. I think you know, Stephanie, Dr.
Sebes, as far as his work, he's a brain surgeon that he's very high on the carnivore diet, but he also endorses any diet that's going to keep you in a reasonable mixture of keeping carbohydrates down below 40 and using proteins and fats as a resource when you're in that area of ketosis. I mean, after all, the brain is 60% fat and 40% water, and hormones are transported by fats. So there really are issues like that. Then the other thing is we, again, we use another drug to just take care of symptoms of a problem. So when you're talking about addiction, addiction is something that is within a person and those addictions, to some extent, I have a, I spend way too much time on internet and phone and all that sort of thing, doing research a lot, and I'm very thankful for it, but in a way it's also almost addictive.
My wife and I have made a deal that we don't take our phones to the table. We just don't do that. We're going to talk to each other. So you're saying that the same addictive personality for drugs can be with your phone too. Is that what you're saying?
Absolutely. Absolutely. I mean, it is in all cases, even the guy who invented the ability, the scroll on a phone, talked about its effect on dopamine receptors, and he's the guy who invented the process. And it's interesting to note that most people that are in high development, Elon Musk won't have his kids, have cell phones and stuff like that.
The same with
Steve Jobs, wouldn't have it with his kids because it was just too powerful a thing. And yet nowadays, we're handing phones over to kids and little boards with games on it and everything at infantile ranges, and it's not good. It's a great entertainer, and they won't be bothering you for a while, so you can get some rest or whatever, but it's not a good thing. Addictive behavior also is caused from a physiological basis. in that, well, let me give you an example.
If you keep your carbohydrates down below.
40 grams a day, you're going to soften the effect of ghrelin. Ghrelin is a hormone that after you eat that great Chinese meal, and it was wonderful, and four hours later, you're hungry again. Or you pack yourself with carbohydrates of one thing or another, you have some ice cream, and then later on in the evening, you want something else to eat. Ghrelin comes from the processing of carbohydrates and therefore makes you hungry. It is a signal to make you hungry, whereas leptin is a hormone which, when you're eating protein, will signal to the person doing the eating that you're no longer hungry and you really don't need food, and that that lasts.
So it's not really a diet that is hunger or suppression of eating, but your mind telling you you have enough ketones and carbohydrates and fats in your body, that it's balanced and you don't need to eat three meals a day and four snacks and run around with Coca-Cola in your hand and eating, I don't know how many tablespoons of sugar that may be. But so again, it's not that it's a habit, eating is a habit,
but it becomes one driven by these hormonal effects, just like anxiety. So is that the same kind of thing that's impacting people that become addicted to drugs and illegal drugs and can't get off those kinds of brain issues? Because, you see it, I know Stephanie started. when we started this, we talked to somebody who goes out and does ministry to Kensington, Philadelphia, and you just see those pictures and hear those stories and think, how in the world does someone make it there? Where does it come from?
How can they not stop doing that? So that's basically a brain, it turns into a brain chemistry thing. Well, it's certainly no answer to saying that we're going to be able to deal. Now, let's look at the response of our society.
to the drug addiction, which is immensely and increasingly.
more lethal. I'm supposed to be at a meeting tomorrow on a new process coming out. Well, oxycodone or any opioid that's in your system will last in the system for 30, 40, 50 minutes at any great amount. Fentanyl will stay in your system eight hours. Wow.
So when you're Narcan-ing somebody,
that process will have to be repeated if they've taken high dosages over a period of time, because it's in there longer. There is a drug out there and I don't have, I did the research to give to the sheriff because actually police are being approached on this new drug that will last much longer in the body. And their feeling is that giving it with the Narcan.
will have a better outcome of actually detoxing the person from the fentanyl. Because fentanyl now, I very seldom, I wrote out a fentanyl death today.
And the fellow I could tell, because I had his history on drug abuse, he was normally a cocaine user. And this day, he had a packet of fentanyl and he only took, within his circulatory system, he only had 10 nanograms of fentanyl. Well, believe it or not, that's not a lot today, because people get so used to taking fentanyl that we've had people that are in 20 to up to 40 nanograms and still alive. So I have a question. When you say you were doing an autopsy, it was a nanogram, what does that mean?
Is that like a spec? I mean, I have no idea of weights and measures. Yeah, that would be one of the, just a small packet. And.
this guy is not filling his system with fentanyl. But fentanyl will just tell your body not to breathe. So that kills him. I mean, does it kill them instantly? And that's what happens?
No, no, they just, they sort of like Brady down and they nod off and the body goes into a point where they're no longer breathing. And you can bring them back, and it's not pleasant coming out of it. And Narcan does work, but you have to repeatedly use it. Whereas if you're really trying to bring somebody back from today's fentanyl, because today's fentanyl, just like today's marijuana, isn't like the days in the 60s when guys were doing a joint.
All of it is much stronger, car fentanyl and all these different fentanyls. Plus we're throwing in. what you see down on Kensington Avenue is what in on the street is called Trank, but it's xylosine. And xylosine is a horse tranquilizer. And you're combining a bit of that with the fentanyl, with the methamphetamine.
So you have these, you have this plethora of problems within in the system that you have to detox the person from. And generally that combination of let's say, I see a lot of it on the street, meth, xylosine, or what the people that use drugs call Trank, and fentanyl.
And I'll just get rid of that.
So when you.
So there, when we hear about the overdoses and we hear, I know the Republican National Convention is going on, and we talk about the border and the fentanyl deaths. I mean, you of all people know, I mean, that is a real statistic about the death and the fentanyl overdoses and death rate has increasing. I think it's a low count. Really? I think it's a low count.
And it.
What do you think is a low count? The numbers we're getting from the government?
Yes. I think that more times we have people being, dying of what they call comorbidities. They have diabetes, they have heart, they have this, and that. Now we detox everybody where we can't get an answer. And we do, because we're called out to look at these deaths, it could be natural, or somebody could have drugs in their system.
And many times, just like this fellow that took a little fentanyl and he's used to cocaine,
there was evidence that he left at seeing the glycine packets that they use. And then we got a presumptive test, meaning we just could find out what was in the system. He didn't have any cocaine in his system. He just wanted to play with a little fentanyl, and the little was too much, and he died. And these people are all ages and socioeconomic, is that correct?
I mean.
. I was 55 years old. Now I looked at all his comorbidities too, and he had a list of drugs. And he had a plethora of spinal injury, problems and pain and that sort of thing. What I'm seeing today, for instance, is it's hard to define what's killing a person, because, let's say, they're doing a little fentanyl or cocaine.
And what you also see is benzodiazepines in them, which exacerbates the suppression level. What is that? Well, benzodiazepines are all these relaxing drugs.
And so.
. So it's actually suppressing the breathing of these people. That's correct. But when you put the fentanyl with it, boy, they just tank.
And the fact of the matter is, I see a lot of people that are dying of fentanyl, that also have benzos and other suppressors that were given to them, or they're their protocol for all their comorbidities. And then you have all the psychotropic drugs that we find in people. And then you add on that every other kind of drug you can imagine, from statins to.
gabapentin, to all these other drugs, which are either for pain. You can add in... Nowadays, you could probably add in some real curious problems that are going to come from things like ozempic, you know, the diet drug. Yeah. Yeah.
And.
. Yeah, I've heard some people have knowledge of those drugs that people taking for weight loss, and it is not good. I mean, some of what happens, you lose weight, but the long-term effects and the regaining and the loss of muscle and so forth does not sound like something you should be doing. That's for sure. And I just read a study where it...
And I don't know if you're seeing this, I don't know if you're seeing people who have died with ozempic in their system, but organ failure. that's happening from the use of the drug. And I would imagine that's probably something that most people are not being told when they start to use the drug.
They're not told much of it at all. They really aren't. I mean, it is an ongoing problem. And when I'm seeing people with 25 drugs in their system and realizing that none of those have been tested in concert, you don't know what you're taking, the big soup, you know? How many ingredients are in that soup.
that will kill you? And I have to wonder with all the specialists, people will show up with like 20 drugs on their chart and whatnot. These are legal drugs. Legal drugs, like legal drugs. But with these specialists, do they know the interactions with the other drugs the doctors are getting?
I don't know, like the pharmacist should be checking this, but I just feel like there's not enough checking of this going on, especially when there's genetic testing available, where you can absolutely see how a person's going to be responding to a particular drug and it's just not even considered by a lot of the doctors. So, well, let's go to a break. I want to pull this back up here in just a minute and further talk about this really interesting stuff. So welcome back. So really interesting stuff that we're learning here, especially I don't know that anyone's really talking about the Ozympic Games, but we're learning a lot about. Well, no, and I think it's interesting, Graham, you started talking about fentanyl, or even before that, and how it goes into even the prescription drugs. And, as you said, 25 different things in somebody's system, they've passed away. And which one of those things or which of those things together killed them?
And then you say now we're introducing things like Gozempic and so forth. And what's the long-term ramification of that?
There's no studies on this.
There's. I haven't had this many people.
It's crazy. I mean, it's just hard to believe. And again, this is legal, legal stuff. Legal stuff. Yeah.
And the illegal. And we had someone on from Kensington who got the person that went in and treats victims and does wound care, because apparently the fentanyl kind of eats your body apart or does it? Well, it's it. it will give you skin wounds. It actually decays the skin.
Is that from the fentanyl or is that? Xylosine. Okay, the xylosine. Okay. Yeah, that's what I thought.
So it is the the drug issues. Are they always mixtures? I mean, are people getting pure? This is what I'm starting to see.
In the long 30, some years I've been doing this. You had heroin. And you had weed. That was in the beginning. Now, that's not that long ago, 1990s.
Those were the big things, psychedelic drugs, mushrooms, that type of thing. Then, all of a sudden, in the, in, the, I think mid 1990s.
You were able to.
have doctors prescribed fentanyl, which, up until that time, could only be administered in a hospital. That's how powerful it is as compared to, like heroin or an opioid.
And then it. then we opened up with these pain clinics. And we were off. We were off to the the races with your oxycodone and Percocet and all the others. And it just blossomed.
So that that graduated from there to even in hospice care, we would go into homes, and we would see individuals that were on fentanyl patches. And the family would steal the fentanyl patches and cook it and inject.
Wow, from the hospice patient. Right. On the street. now it's just made. We have enough fentanyl in the United States right now to kill the whole population four times over.
Wow. Is it true? when they say it's coming up through the southern border? And I think there's a link to China as well. Is that your theory?
It's absolute. It's not a theory. It's true. It's fact.
Ingredients come into China, come from China to Mexico. It's formulated there and it comes in. You know, one of the things you you kind of hear theories on. how does this all happen, get started. I've always had that.
I've always thought that really, this huge drug problem has started within the medical community. It's these pain drugs that people are initially put on, become addicted to, and it kind of goes down that path of addiction. What are your thoughts on where the primary addiction sources come from?
Well, I think I view man as body, mind, soul and spirit. So I tell I work with drug addicts at at a mission down here, Bethesda Mission. And I always tell the new guys coming in and I say, you know who the first drug pusher was? It was God because he gave you dopamine. And the problem is, it's true.
He gave you the dopamine hit every time you do something productive. You know, you've had a wonderful evening out with your wife or whatever. That's the dopamine, man. And that's what makes you feel good inside when you accomplish things. It's what makes a mother.
instantaneously, her dopamine receptors become more sensitive as soon as the sperm hits the egg. And because she's going to need that extra compassion and the ability to be a mother and to do what a man can't do. And so it's a very important thing. And it was balanced by God to give us a gift. And the problem is, when you go to that outside source, because your body is messed up by either other drugs or alcohol, and you start to get a desire for outside sources that make you happy inside and give you that good feeling inside, then that's when addiction starts to formulate into some real problems.
Actually, tomorrow I'm going to be seeing the,
we have 60 hours of filming and a docu-series I want to do on addiction called Unaddicted and how to get unaddicted. And what I'm trying to do is get people to have a broader understanding that you're not going to solve this with another drug. And the drugs that are very profitable and the clinics and hospitals are pushing like crazy are methadone, buprenorphine, and suboxone. So they said, well, we'll put you on a methadone program. Well, I had a dead guy on the table the other day and he had methadone in the system, but he also had fentanyl in the system because it didn't change what was going on within him, so that he could get out of that process.
Every one of these people have been injured in some way or another, and there's this pain they can't get used to and they get covered up. That's interesting. you say that because, as you were talking before, you even said that, the folks we came on that do the outreach and ministry in Kensington said that when they talk to these and get to know these addicts, the overwhelming thing is that they have been victims of abuse in their lives. They were abused as children. It's a common thing.
They're trying to numb the pain of something or trauma that happened to them. Separation, anxiety disorders because the father leaves or the mother leaves, it's a broken home, all these different problems. When you take the foundations of stability away and you have all these scars within your subconscious, then it's very difficult for you to then move to what reality is. You keep on looking in this subconscious, which, to me, is what St. Paul is describing when he says you see through a mirror cloudy.
It's dark. It's not very accurate.
What we do in our own lives is when we're sitting in our subconscious, we say, well, I failed before. I'll never make it now. Those people don't like. I've always failed. She never liked me.
All that stuff is in there. Rather than looking at bringing people into their consciousness, their here and now, and working on the here and now, well, what is really the problem? Here you are. You're in this recovery system. You've been in it before.
you failed. Let's look at what your problem really is, not what you think it is in your subconscious that carries along all your failures.
That's hard work. The idea of the documentary that producer is actually coming. tomorrow, we might start it up.
You have to get them to the point.
where they can believe there's change. I had a Columbia professor who was strung out on opioids.
He told me, he said, it was harder to get off of the Suboxone than it was the opioids. I struggled more getting off of the Suboxone than I did the opioids. He said to me, it's a great soundbite.
He says, Graham, he says, you can't take away something without filling it with something. You can't make a void without filling it.
You can't medicate yourself out of chemical addiction. You can cover up the receptors, you can confuse them and all this other stuff. What you do is you have to make an internal change so that you can start to control that stinking thinking and get into the reality of, okay, here I am now, and I've exaggerated this pain or that scar from the past, and I can put it away. That's what you have to work on. You have to work on putting away those injuries of the past, and then you can move forward.
Then there's also, but that is also physiology, because you're going to change so many things. You see a heroin addict, and he's saying, yeah, I'm off of heroin, man, or even fentanyl. I'm off of fentanyl, and we're having coffee with him, and he's putting on six, seven, eight, nine, 10 teaspoons of sugar.
That's because he's still hitting the dopamine receptors. Now, it's difficult in these institutions where I've worked with addicts, and the difficulty is food, because they're struggling with food, just like we do at the food bank, and getting high-quality food. so you can say, well, you're going to eat quite a bit of protein, quite a bit of fats, and just a little bit of carbohydrates for you. That calms those receptors greatly.
LENORE HAWKINS. Have you seen, since COVID, have you seen a drastic increase in addictions? What do you see as a coroner? What are you seeing the most troublesome? What are you discovering since COVID that has changed for humans- LENORE HAWKINS In the past four years.
LENORE HAWKINS In the past four years, yeah. DR. PAUL NELSON. Well, number one, the people who are getting seriously ill quickly and having serious trouble, if you look at the statistics, are those who have been vaccinated and boosted, because you're affecting their B and T cell systems. We also see these dramatic, unexplainable, but they are explainable, increases in cancers.
Again, when you- LENORE HAWKINS Can I ask a question? Is that what they're calling the turbo cancers? DR. PAUL NELSON. Yes.
LENORE HAWKINS. Well, that term actually comes from some oncologists that have done studies. This is not natural. There's something wrong here, because you have people who have been remission from cancer, let's say prostate or breast cancer, for years. they've been clean.
Then we have the mRNA process, which was never tested on humans. Still to this day, the biggest test is the actual inoculation of all these people. You look at the all-cause deaths, where there was heavy compliance, and it's up way beyond normal epidemiological levels in all types of deaths, but mostly cardiac-related.
I think you both know of Dr. Peter McCullough. LENORE HAWKINS Yes. He's showing up right after hours. DR.
PAUL NELSON. That's right. LENORE HAWKINS Good lead in. Good job. DR.
PAUL NELSON. Man, scary, brilliant. I testified with him once, and I've spoken on the same podium multiple times with him.
I have no comparison to him in ability. He is brilliant. It's so sickening. He will say, well, this is a study, and he'll list off all the people that were in the study. He's almost like a book.
He has a tremendous memory for bringing up studies right out of his hat. Then there are other times when he comes up with just a scary observation as a cardiologist. He said, Graham, he says, for the first time in my life, I saw a three-foot clot. LENORE HAWKINS. Wow.
Are you seeing those? Post-mortem, are you seeing clots?
significantly increase? What weird stuff are you seeing in regards to that? DR. PAUL NELSON? You're seeing inflammation.
You're seeing different consistency of clots than what I saw years ago.
I have a case right now,
which I've been fighting to get, driving to get people to fund the study, so I can show the spike protein in the clots.
It was called a saddle pulmonary emboli. In other words, she was just packed, just a 17-year-old girl, not on birth control pill, not sexually active, no drugs.
I won't designate which one of the two most popular MRA technologies are out there. They're not vaccines. Vaccines were a different thing.
She died at the hospital because of the saddle pulmonary embolism. That means on both sides, her lungs were filled with clots. You'll also see young people under the age of 40 with the amount of myocarditis now would have been absolutely unheard of 15 years ago, 20 years ago. LENORE HAWKINS, Until the past four years, myocarditis. PAUL NELSON.
It was really an anomaly, either some sort of a strange genetic thing or something like that. It was just not capable of being called a prominent issue in health, especially of those under 40. Now you see athletes dropping over dead all the time.
It's almost a common occurrence, on a monthly or yearly basis, of young people just falling over dead. What we were seeing, and what I have seen on hearts is fibrosis and then the myocardial infarctions. Fibrosis means that over a period of time, there were parts of the heart that would have inflammation.
The cardiac cells in the heart would be so inflamed, they would die, and it creates this fibrosis. It's like dirtying an electric line. Then you're not going to get good electric pulse over it.
There's just no evidence that we should have ever put this out. The average vaccine was to get to the market before, which, probably, if you're reading a book like this, or this is a phenomenal book, Turtles All the Way Down. Do you know about this book? LENORE HAWKINS? Oh, yeah.
I'm familiar. Do you? No. Kathy's out of it now. These doctors actually use none of the plumes so that they wouldn't have to destroy their careers to write the book.
It's not really. How do they say? Forward by Mary Holland, J.V. and Zoe O'Sullivan, Mary Holland. I don't know.
It is a phenomenal book. Vaccination versus unvaccinated. studies cannot be performed because there are not enough unvaccinated children out there. You have to go to countries where there are, but Hooper or Hooker, rather, he found them because there's multiple studies here. If you take a look at the Kennedy-Hooker book, it is filled with peer-reviewed papers, most of them outside this country.
Just astounding. LENORE HAWKINS. I have a question, because we've touched on a lot of things, from prescription drugs, fentanyl, vaccines, and so forth. You had mentioned to me some time ago, just to make people aware, there's something that can be purchased in convenience stores and counters at grocery stores, or something that's hurting people. Can you share what that is?
It's legal, it's there, and kids and everyone else has access to it. DR. FRANCIS COLLINS, Yes. Let me see if I have some of the chemistry on that.
No, I don't have it in the office right now.
But Cartom, C-A-R-T-O-M, I think it is, is one of them. I actually had an intern that was a brilliant kid.
He finally ended up going down to the Philadelphia School of Pharmacology.
Well, he was playing with this stuff, which was legal. There's a new one out from India, that one was not from India, it might have been South America, but they're plants that will give you a type of high, but they're not marijuana. They'd be much safer doing marijuana.
They're sold at truck stops. There's a new one in, and I just got the notice from the DEA, and I was noticing that it's popping up in smoke shop. Have you noticed how many smoke shops there are around? DR. FRANCIS COLLINS?
Oh, they're everywhere. DR. FRANCIS COLLINS. Yes, everywhere. DR.
FRANCIS COLLINS. This is the crap they're selling, and even gas stations. You go for the truckers, you go up there, and they have these smoke shops. Is that what they're doing with these things you referenced? Are they smoking it, these plant bait?
Is it a smoke thing? DR. FRANCIS COLLINS? They're mostly smoking it, like you would, marijuana, but they're untested plants. I think you can probably get it over the internet.
Actually, you can get fentanyl over the internet. DR. FRANCIS COLLINS. What? Seriously.
DR. MARGOT SANGER-KATZ? Apparently, it's not the same internet I'm using. I've never found it. Not that I was searching.
DR. FRANCIS COLLINS. There's secret ways they do this.
I'm not fully understanding of it, but we had a case where the guy would order iPhone covers, but inside the iPhone covers were all the fentanyl and stuff like that. You can get it on a lot of different ways. Fentanyl is so prolific now, anybody can get it. DR. MARGOT SANGER-KATZ, I think the warning there is to parents and so forth to just be mindful.
Even where you said you could get it on the internet, what are your kids ordering? What are they buying? and those kinds of things? To educate them to not talk about. it is dangerous.
They think it's at a gas station counter, it's fine, and it can be killing them. DR. FRANCIS COLLINS, I've had many cases where kids think they're going out for Percocets or oxycodone or something like that, and fentanyl is in it. It's a fake pill. It's a lookalike.
DR. MARGOT SANGER-KATZ. And then they OD, overdose? DR. FRANCIS COLLINS, High on the street, and they OD, yeah.
And then the despair of this world, most people, I know Stephanie knows this, most people are, and by most, I mean around 60% of the diet in the United States is called the SAD diet, the Standard American Diet. And it's that terrible, well, they used to use the pyramid, now they use the plate. And even the Diabetes Association is pushing way too many carbohydrates and they should. So that makes your system weak. DR.
MARGOT SANGER-KATZ. Yeah, it's funny, I was just reading, I don't know, someone had decided to follow that to the T, the recommendations of that plate, and went from a healthy person to a very sick person by following those recommendations. I know you've been talking to me about the carnivore diet forever, I'll be honest with you, I'm thinking about giving it a try for about two weeks, maybe three weeks. Graham, you keep on giving me stuff and I'm like, what's the harm? Well, let me try for a couple of weeks and see what Graham's talking about here.
DR. GRAHAM COLLINS, Some of the greatest stuff has been done.
CVEZ is a genius. And my assistant chief deputy, his wife, who's a brilliant forensic pathologist,
she met CVEZ and she says he's so brilliant. So if she's saying this guy is brilliant, but, C-Y-W-E-S, I think it is.
And they call him the carnivore doctor. He was one of the early guys in this. And he's not some Nazi that, if you, you know, eat some raspberries and stuff like that, but he was the one who started to do the most research. He is a surgeon that.
then started to realize I'm doing surgery on people because they're unhealthy.
And I could reduce my load of surgery and just help them get better. I'm only treating the symptom and never the problem. And so CVEZ is brilliant. He's out of West Palm Beach.
and Heidi's actually gone to him. And I was able to call.
co-op, what she got is blood work. And I'll send a copy of that to you, Stephanie. It's blood work to see where people are at. He really is a brilliant guy. He talks, he was one of the first to say, let me talk to you about statins.
But it is almost a practice like yours where you go in and the first thing he wants to know about is you. And unbelievably, he doesn't have the UPMC or any other hospital computer in his hands like this and never looks up at you and never looks at your eyes or your face and ask you how you're doing or anything like that. How much do you move? You know, no questions like that at all. I thank you, as we wrap up today, Graham, for sharing this.
It's a wealth of information, not just on what's happening with illegal drugs, which is where we started, but just even pharmaceuticals, and then even going to what we eat and how we live. And I think he says it very closely. A lot of these things that God created the dopamine receptors, that we want to want to feel good and to do things that make us feel good. But when we mess with that, as any all things, when we mess with the plan and design that God has, we screw it up. But there's a reason for, and when people are hurt or have trauma, as he said, they go to find outside sources to heal that pain, but they're not really healing the pain.
They're just soothing it for a time. That's right. Absolutely. It's very eye-opening, especially from a coroner's experience, to see what's actually coming through, to have the data on this stuff, and just so enlightening that I think people need to know. People need to know.
And I don't know. It's funny. It's like every show that we do. Well, not every show. We've had a couple of good shows, but- You mean a couple of more just positive story shows versus more, oh my gosh, what has our society become?
Well, I think these shows, though, are to me positive, because you have to look at, and Graham said it very well, as life, as body, mind, and spirit. And all of those things go together. And if you aren't concerned about all three, something's going to be out of whack. Yeah, absolutely. It is a positive thing.
Absolutely. And thank goodness we have a coroner who's willing to actually investigate, put this, document stuff, speak about it publicly, because a lot of coroners aren't. They're following the, they're telling the line and this information- Doctors as well. Doctors as well. So this information is not getting out there to the public because people are afraid to lose their positions or whatnot, if they are to speak out about what they're seeing, because it's scary.
It's scary when you're seeing these rates of cancer, when you're seeing these med combos that are actually killing people, when you're seeing these cardio issues that you've not seen ever before, like they have so abundantly appeared within the last four years. I think it's fear and money. Yep. Yep. So many people, they're afraid, but they also don't want to lose that money, that funding sources.
He said a lot of these, we've talked about Exempic and the weight loss drugs and the prescriptions and the thing to numb the pain and the pain centers. It's very profitable. Yeah. So people are afraid of losing status and so forth, but they're also afraid of the revenue source drying up, especially if you're at the top of the pyramid. That's absolutely true.
And while we cannot all be a coroner having access to this incredible information and getting it out there- But I listen to a coroner because- Yes. Yes. As a pro, we have to. Absolutely. You want to listen to the coroners, but just remember that it's wherever you are, and to the extent that you are able, that you need to stand up, step forward, and you want to always, always, always speak out for yourself and your children and your family and the people you love.
