America Out Loud is the premier news network with a diverse array of talk shows that inform and inspire. A daily resource for smart people.
It's 6 Eastern, 3 o'clock. Pacific. From coast to coast and around the world. Is anybody paying attention? From America?
Out Loud Talk Radio. I have black and white evidence that the FBI interfered in the 2016 election. It's time for The Truth. Be Told with Booker Scott.
Well, I hope you had a great weekend. And it was another busy weekend for news. It just doesn't stop right now. We had Maduro in Venezuela win another election, allegedly. We had Kamala Harris telling Netanyahu to knock it off.
And we had Hezbollah raining rockets killing 12 children in Israel. That's what just happened in the last week. There's a lot going on. And I'm going to do my best to get you caught up on what has been happening. I'm Booker Scott, and this is The Truth.
Be Told. This hour is brought to you by ShareRight.org forward slash, Booker. Just go there to find out that you will save 30 to 50 percent on your health care costs. That's ShareRight.org forward slash, Booker. Well, every Monday we welcome in Matt Palumbo for Mondays with Matt.
Matt is an author. He wrote the book Spygate with Dan Bongino. He's also the content director of the Bongino Report. And you can see him on Fox News as a contributor on both Fox News and Fox Business. You can see him there.
We're going to jump right into it now with Matt Palumbo. Matt, welcome back to the program.
Always good to be back. Thank you.
Well, we had a busy week last week, as every week has been, and probably will be between now and November 5th, won't it?
Yes. Well, the viewers obviously don't know this, but off the air, on last Sunday, I privately predicted to you that there was no way Biden would drop out of the race. And I think it was in less than an hour. after that, my girlfriend goes, oh my God, did you see? Biden just dropped out of the race.
So that was my instinctive ability on display once again.
Yeah, you texted me. Yeah, we had fun with that.
Thank God the audience didn't have to hear that and know about that. But yeah, that was the big thing that happened last week, obviously.
Well, this weekend we had the Hezbollah attack on Israel, and this comes into the Golan Heights area, where they attacked the Druze, which is a Jewish sect. that is, you know, I don't know how to say it, but just look it up and find out for yourself. They are ethnically not the same and I guess they're looked down upon by a lot of people, but that's who they attack. They ended up killing 12 young children and within hours, Netanyahu and Israel, the IDF, they bombed Lebanon like crazy, and that's going to continue. It's not going to slow down.
Hezbollah has poked the bear too much with the killing of these children there in the Golan Heights area. So we have that going on. and then we have Seymour Hersh. Have you seen what Seymour Hersh, who is 87 years old, now, tell people who he is, if you know much of his background. He is an 87-year-old investigative journalist, going all the way back to the 1960s and earlier than that.
Yeah, my understanding is he was sort of doing this reporting on, you know, why is it that Biden suddenly did decide to step down? because you have to recall, for, you know, the week leading into it, you know, Jean Pierre and pretty much every other propagandist of the aisle, even in the day leading up to Biden dropping out, there were some of his communications people who were denying reporting, like, you know, the sort of sources familiar with the matter or private sources say that kind of reporting his communications. People were calling it uncredited, and all of that, then. obviously Biden suddenly did drop out. So Seymour was arguing that, reporting, that rather, that the, I guess, people behind the curtain, the Democrats, who are really running the show, the swamp, you could call them, and also Obama as well, were pressuring Biden that either he drop out or they're going to invoke this order of the amendment and get him taken out.
And it's the same end result, so it's just a question of how do you want this to affect your legacy? Do you want to be the senile guy who got his butt kicked so hard in debate he had to drop out? Or do you want to be the guy who got his butt kicked so badly you got thrown out? I mean, it's not really two great options, but that was his choices right there.
Well, and when you see what's going on in the Middle East, and then you have Ukraine-Russia, and you see that it was Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, with the support of Barack Obama, that put the pressure on Joe Biden to leave. And it has been reported that Nancy Pelosi said, you can do this the easy way, or we're going to do it the hard way. And the hard way would be the 25th Amendment. So, with everything going on in the world, if they were going to use the 25th Amendment in a political way, are they not then actually saying that he is not competent to be the president? And if he isn't competent, we are in a dangerous time in this country for national security.
Well, yeah, I mean, Biden isn't even qualified. I'm kind of stealing the argument from last show, but he's not qualified to be a McDonald's cook. So yeah, if he can't do that, you can't be president. And the only case that we have on our side against the 25th Amendment would just be that literally anyone, like Iraq, would be harder to run against than Biden. Biden is just the easiest possible person to be in a race.
So obviously, you know, we would have preferred to have kept him in despite that. But no, no, he cannot run a country, and nor do I think he actually is right now or has been for probably the majority of his tenure. There was a Wall Street Journal report, actually, I believe, last week that it was in October of 2021 that he had a cabinet meeting where he was just veering off and losing it. And, and that's when people really started to have concerns. And I think that was actually his last full cabinet meeting.
It's been known since his first year in office, he's not there. They all just decided to band together and coordinate with members of Congress, but also the media, that there was nothing wrong. And it is like I honestly thought we were in a stage, media wise, where it wouldn't be possible logistically to do that. And, you know, granted, all you have to do is sit on Fox and Newsmax to know better. But still, it seemed like 60 or so percent of the country really was in the dark to Biden's mental state, which is insane.
I had this thought this week, and I'll share with you and get your response on that. And that is the debate that took place at the end of June between Biden and Trump. We all said before it happened, it was being done early, earlier than any other presidential debate. Typically, they're in September and into October. They usually have about three of them and they lead right up until about two weeks before the election.
So this one is in June. And it stands out because it was the opportunity to remove Joe Biden from the race, which is exactly what happens. So now I start thinking about it from a strategic standpoint. If I were Donald Trump, would it have been better to not accept the challenge of that debate and then never give them the opportunity to expose Joe Biden?
Oh, that is an interesting thought. I mean, the thing is, too, Trump was leading. I mean, I know I don't think anyone really trusts the polls anymore, but it is really going to go up. So I know he wasn't leading ahead of that. Yeah, it depends.
It's just what kind of other event could have possibly revealed that he's not there mentally. And yeah, it's hard to see them putting himself voluntarily in that kind of situation, given they never had before. I think even with the debate, too, it was a. it could have gone either way. Like, you know, they did a whole week of prep for the guy, maybe hoping, all right, there's a one in a million chance he can really pull it off.
But if not, now we get back up. I think they were kind of potentially playing both angles. But that is tough to say. But I guess it just determines, too, how formidable a candidate is. Kamala Harris.
And any new entrance to the race is going to get a sort of like honeymoon period. So she is in the polls tied with Trump right now. And that's the peak. That's actually good news for Trump. That's the best it's going to get for her.
And we have to remember, too, like no one's really gone on the offense against Harris, yet. She just declared the media is in this sort of phase where they like talk about her like she's a Hollywood celebrity, not an actual politician. But right now, the polling in it for a while has been that the border is the number one issue for voters. She was the borders are. And we know that's such an effective line of attack and that they're literally trying to memory a whole knowledge of that.
Like, I know you must have seen the publication Axios did an article about how it's you know, how Kamala Harris was never borders are. And you can just do a search for the words of. borders are Axios's website. And the exact same author who said she was never. borders are reported that she was.
borders are two or three years ago. You know, it's that kind of reporting.
And that's a silly argument. I mean, they're arguing over the word. The correct. She was never officially a. borders are.
But czar. czar is a Russian word anyway. It's not something we typically use. But she was pointed to be the point person for the border. That's exactly what she was.
Now, that's exactly what a czar is. So it's it's. you know, it's really stupid, the argument over it. But they are trying to distance her from her from the border. Let's go back to her.
and Netanyahu. Netanyahu spoke in Congress. Kamala Harris wasn't there, along with about other 30 other representatives on the Democrat side. They decided to protest. He said some interesting things.
He said. one thing I want to pull from his speech was that Hamas isn't just coming for Israel, but they are also coming for you, America. And I thought that was important. And Kamala Harris, she met with him privately and she told him, you got to knock it off. You got to stop what's happening with the civilians in Gaza.
And then, within 24, 48 hours of that, you have Hezbollah raining rockets in on Israel, killing 12 kids. And we see what's happening now there. And I think it's a very precarious situation. we have going back to the 25th Amendment, with Joe Biden allegedly running the country, I guess, until his term is up. But you have Kamala Harris, that it appears to be stepping up and she appears to be taking the side of Hamas for votes in places like Minnesota and Michigan, probably.
Yeah, I mean, we all saw the protesters that they have to face the Liberty Bell replica. They're burning the American flag. And she looked at that group and said, that's who we need to get more votes from. And she actually is correct, because that is a group that votes Democrat, but was not going to vote for Joe Biden. So she knows she has no choice but to moderate her rhetoric.
And it is worth it when I talk about this next, that with her VP pitch, there was a segment where Josh Shapiro was on one of the three letter network shows and they were talking about the potential of her, of him as a VP. And the host, like very casually said he wouldn't be viable because he's Jewish. And it was like. everyone understood the implication of, oh, well, you got to appeal to those crazy Palestine people. But it's just the nonchalantness of how they said it.
Like, you know, it just plays into the exact what we're saying. They were like, you know, they think Republicans are racist. It would be like if someone who wanted a Fox and was like, well, you know, we can't run Herman Cain because he's a black man. No one will vote for him. Like.
that would be the biggest admission you could possibly imagine if you were on the left. And yet, you know, when they were on this, Shapiro was on this show. that was just said out loud, just as a statement of fact. I mean, obviously because it is one, but I was just amazed at how, how casually, it was put. But no, that's who the left is targeting.
And even, regardless of like, if you know anything about Israel and Palestine and who you think has a moral, you know, it's better morally there. It's just very clear. the pro-Palestine people, at least the ones protesting this country, are extremely anti-American, pro-violence, really just want to tear the country apart, have nothing to replace it with. Well, the pro-Israel side is what I have seen, the pro-American side. So, you know, while having minimal knowledge of the conflict, I know which side I definitely feel safer on.
Yeah, no doubt. And they're burning the American flag. Some of the graffiti they wrote is exactly what Netanyahu said in his speech. Hamas is coming, is what they wrote on that Liberty Bell replica. So he was right about that.
You mentioned Shapiro. Let's start talking about these VP picks. that is being considered by Kamala Harris. We have Josh Shapiro, who is the governor of Pennsylvania. You have Mark Kelly, a senator from Arizona, former astronaut.
And you have Roy Cooper, who is the governor of North Carolina. Those are the three that I'm predominantly hearing. Are you hearing anything else?
No, I've heard those as well. I mean, Kelly could be an interesting pick, too, because he also has the political violence tie-in in that, like, obviously, Trump is going to get more sympathy, as he should, because he was a victim of an attempted assassination. I know Kelly's wife, Gabrielle Giffords, was also the victim of the same. And I think he has—I'm not saying it's true, but I know his reputation, at least among Democrats, as being more moderate on the border. So that could help, especially when juxtaposed with Kamala Harris.
But also with Shapiro, I look up to CNN, was the show. They were nonchalantly saying he would be a great candidate if he was Jewish. So who's the third one?
Roy Cooper, the North Carolina governor.
No, actually, I've only heard the first two. I haven't heard his pitch yet.
Well, Shapiro, you know, maybe the idea is that he would bring that Jewish vote back, who has been leaving Joe Biden recently, over the Hamas stuff in Gaza. So maybe that's the point there. I did read something about Shapiro having some sexual allegations, things. But when I read about it, it didn't seem like that would be much of a deal. Someone within his administration had to pay $250,000 over something just in the last year, I guess, back in 2023.
And I guess he didn't make a big deal out of it. But I don't think that that would, in today's world, in politics, would make a big difference. Mark Kelly, I don't know if you read this, but I read that he owns part of a Chinese spy balloon company. Would you believe that?
Ah, bust of the Google machine.
Well, you know, you know, you know, it would make perfect sense. And it seems like that would almost make him a shoe in for the Democrats.
He co-founded the Tucson-based Worldview in 2012,, a company that manufactures spy balloons and is invested in by Tencent, a Chinese tech company. So, yeah, that is not great.
No, no, that's, that's on the fringe there, isn't it? But, like I said, it's probably a shoe in for the Democrats to be the vice president. He works fine. And then Roy Cooper. I really believe that Roy Cooper and Kamala Harris have a long relationship.
And Cooper has is a Democrat governor in the state of North Carolina. It seems that she is going toward a governor, possibly with Shapiro, and Cooper. Shapiro doesn't have much experience. He, if you don't remember, he was the secretary of state in Pennsylvania in the 2020 election. He was the one that was fighting all the court battles, fighting against Donald Trump, and all of that in the state of Pennsylvania.
Roy Cooper has been governor for a while. He has a lot of executive experience and he is maybe the person she's going to land on. I'm going to predict Roy Cooper will be the one.
Jennifer Cooper. I am. Who am I going to pick?
You don't have to. You don't have to.
I might say Shapiro, just because Pennsylvania.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you look at those three states where they're from. It's Pennsylvania, Arizona, North Carolina, which would make sense in any one of those three.
All of those are swing states. So that's why she's looking into those states to get help in there. North Carolina is a real purple state now. So it is one that Kamala Harris could possibly win. It's within the margin of error right now.
So we'll have to keep an eye on that. I guess that decision will have to come pretty quickly as she gets this campaign going, or maybe it's in the next two or three weeks prior to the DNC convention. Speaking of Kamala, I have had a couple of conversations with people in my family since she has become the nominee, a presumptive nominee for the Democrats. And I found that very interesting. One of them was my sister, who is a never Trump or put her in there with Nikki Haley.
And she would not vote for Donald Trump for anything. She told me yesterday on the phone that she would vote for Donald Trump. There is no way in the world she would ever vote for Kamala Harris and she will vote. And the other one is my sister-in-law, who is actually a Democrat. My sister is a Republican.
My sister-in-law is a Democrat, a Joe Biden voter. And she has said the same thing. She says, I would never vote for Kamala Harris. So I found that interesting. Those are real, live human beings that I have talked to.
Those are not polls. What do you think about that?
Well, you say real, live human beings, and it's funny because Kamala is, I don't know, it's sort of like if an alien took over a human and was trying to mimic other people, but trying to see how we act, like the, just like, you know, like, I'm trying to think of how to phrase it. Like, okay, like if you did a movie about Kamala Harris's life from the perspective of her being an alien, like you could have a scene where she's like looking at people talking and laughing, like she's like, okay, so I got to laugh a lot after I say something. Is that how I talk? Because that would perfectly explain all of her behavior, if it's like a really bad mimicry. But no, she's just bad at seeming legitimate.
I don't know. It's just like all politicians have a way of speaking that is just very rehearsed and cliche. And she's somehow a level below that. It's hard to phrase, but it's just, I don't know, she's pretending to pretend. It's an odd thing to say.
And if you look deep into her policies through her career, she's dangerous. And I think that's what my sister and sister-in-law actually see. And it's not the fakeness, but it's what she has actually done. And pay attention to that, because I think it's important.
As do I.
Yeah. One last thing here before I let you go. The Olympics started this weekend and we had a Last Supper recreation. What were your thoughts on that?
Oh, God. French guy on Twitter said we can't complain because we export more gayness than they do now. But no, I thought it was a disgrace. And it's, you know, that people are always saying, like, well, they would never do that with Islam. And I'm thinking, well, yes, because the Muslims actually react.
Right. They would kill you.
You know, I'm not saying we should be violent or do it the way they do. But listen, we learned we do a lot of power with Bud Light and, I think, then with Tractor Supply Company, then John Deere. If companies do cross us and we do have it, we have more influence than we think and we can financially inflict damage and use that to turn the culture in our way. Even if it's, you know, these people don't want it to. So I would say, yeah, like, instead of just complaining and saying, oh, you always pick on us.
But, you know, find out some peaceful way to push back and they won't be able to do it anymore. But, and then another point, too, someone made was like he was making fun of atheists who say things like, you know, there's a million religions in the world. How do you decide on Christianity? And I said, well, it's just the only one you guys hate. Well, obviously, there's something special about it.
It's the only one you guys really think is worth singling out. And I think there's some truth there as well.
Yeah. Yeah. Maybe that's some good truth in a way. Yeah. Matt, thank you so much.
Have yourself a great week. And, as always, thank you for coming on and doing Mondays with Matt.
My pleasure. Thank you. If you ask me, this whole world is gone to hell.
I speak the truth, but these days the truth won't sell.
I bleed red, white and blue. in my ways, you just can't change.

I want to get back to a couple of things that Matt and I spoke about. One of those was the Olympics and what happened there with the mockery of Christianity. I don't know how you felt about it. I don't know that I expected any less from the Olympics, and France in particular. But since then, the Olympics have come out and apologized.
They said they didn't mean to offend anyone, didn't realize that they were going to offend anyone. France is a big Christian nation, and that's concerning to me that they wouldn't think that. that having dragged Queens presenting the Last Supper, how out of touch are the Olympics, France, and, even greater than that, the world? And that's kind of my final thoughts on that. I want to get into something that has really been bothering me, and maybe it has been bothering you.
As I have thought about Joe Biden's coup, and that's what it was. That's all it was. It was a coup. We watched the coup to take out Joe Biden. Matt, and I talked about it here in this first segment, but I want to go a little bit deeper into this.
I don't know if you saw over the weekend, but Venezuela, they had another election. And guess who won? Maduro. No surprise there. And guess what happened after the election?
As you would expect, they say that there was election interference. There was that Maduro's people, I guess, are counting the votes. It doesn't really matter who votes for who, as long as the people counting the votes are in control of Maduro. in this case. We look at Venezuela, and we mock them for being a third world country.
But I look at what happened in America over the last few weeks, and really, are we any better? And it's disturbing to me. We may blame things on the administrative state. We may blame things on the bureaucracy. But in reality, what happened was the power of very few took down Joe Biden.
And with that, they took down the votes of 14 million Americans. Now, maybe many of those 14 million Americans don't care, because they're right there along with them. We can't let Donald Trump win. And that's also sad when you think about it. They covered up Joe Biden's memory issues and his cognitive ability for years, up until June.
And then you get to the debate. And I remember talking about this on the program when it happened. I watched CNN and MSNBC right after the debate. And all the talking heads on there were parroting each other. Joe Biden didn't do well, and he's going to have to go.
We have to find another nominee for the Democrats. And that's where the conversation started. Soon after there, days after the debate, you had politicians on the Democrat side, just a few of them at the beginning. But as time went on, the momentum grew, and more and more Democrats got on that bandwagon. In the end, though, there were really only about 40 or 50 that had publicly said that they were not behind Joe Biden in the election.
And those 40 or 50 really don't have the power and control to remove Joe Biden, but a very few elites do. And that's what it came down to. It came down to Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Akeem, Jeffries, Barack Obama. Why do so few people, elites in this country, political elites, have the power and control to make the decisions for the American people? Because that's what happened.
Regardless of what you think about Joe Biden, that is exactly what happened over the last few weeks. Are we going to stand by and allow that to happen, continue to happen? And then ask yourself, why is it that they did that? Well, obviously, they knew that Joe Biden wasn't going to win the election. But beyond that, it's the power and control.
They would do anything for power and control. It's something we talk about on this network all the time. But you just saw what they'll do for power and control over the last three weeks. And it's more than just the power at the top. It has so much to do with the down-ballot races that were going to be affected by Joe Biden.
at the top of the ticket. There was low energy. What about voter turnout? And all of that affects the House of Representatives and the Senate. What these few elites want is total and absolute control.
So the down-ballot races were going to be affected, so they had to change that. They want to win the House of Representatives. They want to maintain the Senate. They want to maintain total control over the American people, so they can further the agenda that they are taking this country to, one of socialism, communism. They're friendly with China.
Everything they do is for China. It benefits China. So that is what has happened over the last few weeks, as the dust settles. And I'm bothered by that, because now it appears that we are left with Kamala. Kamala Harris.
And, as I mentioned in the first segment, a couple of my family members that would not have voted for Donald Trump, they are not going to vote for Kamala Harris. So, as we watch what's happening right now, and we're in this honeymoon phase with Kamala Harris, a lot of people are going to start coming out of the ether about what she really represents, who she is, and what her agenda is. Because it's really scary for our country. It's taking us closer to Venezuela and Maduro than it is to liberty and freedom. And that's what the choice is going to be in this upcoming election.
Don't fool yourself about what's happening. And also, maybe don't fool yourself about what you're seeing. A lot of what's happening right now, with the press just being all over. Kamala Harris, and the energy and the donations. Don't forget that the donations set on the sideline.
They quit going to Joe Biden for weeks. So then, when Kamala was coronated by those in power, the elites in power, all of that money then went to her. Yeah, is she having success right now? Absolutely. Raising money.
Who's donating to her? The elites? Those in New York and in Hollywood? Not in the flyover country. That's not where she's generating this money.
They're not people like you and me. They're the people in Hollywood. They're the people in New York City. That's who's donating to this. Because they also want their agenda to continue.
What exactly is this agenda? Let's remember Kamala Harris. Here's some sound on what Kamala Harris really is.
There are reports that say that you have the lowest approval rating of any vice president. Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings. Swing voters don't like Harris.
How big a drag is Kamala Harris on the ticket?
She's a pretty big drag. I think she was arguably Biden's worst political decision. They don't like her. There's lots of reasons they don't like her. Kamala Harris's approval rating is now at 28%, which is an historic low for any modern vice president.
We're hearing it from mainstream media. One outlet after another. One leak after another. Kamala Harris is the worst vice president ever, the worst politician ever. We don't see the vice president.
What people are saying to me, and I'm sure they're saying it to you,
where is the vice president?
Some White House officials are feeling that she came off looking unprepared for inevitable questions about when she might visit the southern border. We've been to the border. You haven't been to the border. And I haven't been to Europe. And I don't understand the point.
And keep in mind, this is mainstream media. This is not Fox News that is doing this reporting on Kamala Harris. This is what they were saying about her back then. Now look at what they are saying about Kamala Harris and how great she is. I'm going to play a little bit more of this for you.
The point that Lester Holt was making was obvious to anyone else who was watching this interview, which is that the issues at the border are inextricably linked with the portfolio that she's been given. The border is secure. We have a secure border. Bidenomics is working.
Prices have gone up.
And families and individuals are dealing with the realities of that. bread costs more, the gas costs more. And we have to understand what that means. That's about the cost of living going up. She picked Kamala Harris.
That's Michael Moore, by the way, that's speaking right here. This is Michael Moore talking about Kamala Harris, who they now think is going to be a fantastic president. These are the things that people remember about Kamala Harris. So we'll have to keep an eye on this. But here's the rest of this.
Just the most liberal Senator in the United States Senate. So he could have gone the other way, but he went, he went to the left. Joe Biden is running for reelection and I will be his ticket mate.
Full stop. And of course, she will not be his running mate this time, because she is the presidential nominee presumptive at this point, which brings you to the question. Do you think the wheels may start coming off of Kamala Harris's campaign? It's still possible, but I believe at this point, with Barack Obama's blessing, finally, it took a few days that Kamala Harris is going to be the person for the Democrats. Here's Elizabeth Warren and what she said Kamala Harris would do as president.
This should scare you.
If we need to create a path, the border, to have more resources in the States and cities that are supporting migrants. And I believe we need to create a pathway to citizenship. All of that is part of what we need to do for comprehensive immigration reform. Kamala Harris will work with Congress and get that done.
So Kamala Harris will work with the new Congress. Presumably, Elizabeth Warren thinks that the Democrats will keep the Senate because of this switch, the down ballot races. Again, they, that's what they were concerned about. They'll main, they will win control of the house of representatives. Hakeem Jeffries will become your house speaker at that point, third in line for the presidency.
And what she just said there, what Elizabeth Warren just said, Kamala Harris will make it where 10 million illegal immigrants can become citizens of the United States of America. That is what their agenda is. And for whatever reason, I know there are a lot of different ideas out there about why illegal immigrants are here. Most people believe that it's for votes, and I'm not going to argue that at all. Get them in the country, make them citizens, allow them to vote and guess who never leaves power.
Someone like Kamala Harris, someone that wants to force you to cook on stoves that they tell you to cook on. Someone that forces you to buy the cars that they want you to buy? that benefits China, not America. What they want is a total control, like Maduro in Venezuela. You better believe it, because that's exactly what's happening.
It was the power of a few that took control of this presidential election for November 5th. That's what we saw over the last few weeks. It still bothers me. It really bothers me. I think it opened the eyes of a lot of people.

Joining the conversation now is a guy who is motivated by something you may not have heard about, but yet it is making its way through general assemblies around the country. And it's so important for us to get active locally. And right now is the time to do that in general assemblies, because in a couple of months, they're going to be closed down for the year. There's a small window of time where you can get things done. And then that state's assembly is shut down for the year.
And you're going to have to wait six or seven more months before they come back into session, going to introduce you now to Diego Rivera. And you can follow him on social media, by the way, Twitter at Diego for Liberty. And he is working on something with the national guard. So Diego, first, welcome to the program and kind of tell us a little bit about what this is all about. Yeah.
So this is by far the coolest thing I've ever been a part of. And I've been a part of a couple of things. So this is a legislation that says that, without a formal declaration of war, as prescribed by the constitution, that calls for Congress to formally declare war at, the states will withhold their national guard from going into overseas active combat.
So in the past, National guard had been used a lot in our foreign conflicts and a lot of the foreign conflicts, especially over the last 25 years, there has been no declaration from Congress that we are in a war and may simply our conflicts, but yet national guard troops are being used around the world. Simply put, you're trying to get it passed where Congress has to say, we are in a war before someone in the federal government can say, we're going to take Alabama's national guard and go put them in Iraq.
Correct. And so it's true. And, and you qualified it. So you said, within the last 25 years, and I'd say that's right. Before that, you know, it was preposterous to think of the national guard going into overseas active combat.
And also it's been a dereliction of duty from Congress because they haven't declared war since 1942 against Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary. And as a consequence, how many wars have we won since we stopped declaring wars?
Well, we have almost been in a continuous war for the last 20 to 25 years, ever since a nine 11.. It seems like we have been in a constant battle. An interesting thing I saw when I looked at your social media platform, Twitter X specifically, and I mentioned your handle on where people can find you is how full your timeline was. of all these different state cases. Are you the one organizing this?
Tell us what that's like and how it works and what it looks like, because I think it's so important. And when it comes to election integrity and those types of things, we're kind of missing the boat, because those are all state issues. And for some reason we cannot put the pressure on state legislators to do something about it until it's too late. And so what does that look like from a grassroots effort to have such success? Because you're, you're getting this done in a lot of states, aren't you?
Yeah.
So we're filed in about 30 states right now. And it is the efforts of grassroots. You know, I wish that we could say that we were some big organization and that was our sole purpose and all this stuff, but it really is just a grassroots desire to get this done. And let me just say this as a qualifier to anybody that might, if you're hearing this and the sound of my voice, and you've never gotten involved with grassroots before, I urge you to get involved. Let me also preface this by saying you're going to screw it up.
You're going to do things poorly. You're not going to know what to do. So it's better to get involved and figure out, okay, let me help someone. first. Let me be a part of this.
Find something you care about, get involved, learn what the process is, go through the motions, figure out how to do it right, figure out the skills that it takes. And then from there you can move on to your pet project. But if you're hearing this for the first time and no one's ever told you to show up, show up, because this really does take people, regular people, to make these sorts of changes. But again, yeah, we are scheduled in about 30 states.
And how, how did the, how did that process come about for you guys? Because that's not easy. I think it's lost on people how difficult it is to organize in a way that it is in 30 different states, general assemblies. It's a, it's a difficult process to have that organization. How did it work for you guys?
Oh man. So first we started off, so bring our troops on. Initially started off with the intention of going to Congress, where we had, you know, just recently we had our fifth year anniversary, but the president, Dan McKnight, his purpose was to get together. And as veterans, we were going to show up to DC and we were going to tell him, Hey, we want an end to these unconstitutional and endless wars. And they were going to go.
great point. And they were just going to end the wars. And, you know, I don't know if you know that didn't work out. So from there, we focused on a bill that was written up by the 10th amendment center and has been championed by people like Pat McGeehan over in West Virginia. It's a legislation, the legislation we're talking about.
And from there, the grassroots efforts behind this is is tiresome, because I have to find bill sponsors. I have to find people that are brave enough to put this forward. that will take the arrows. I have to educate them on what's in it. You know, I have to educate them on this, because most people don't understand, because for most state legislators, they've never thought about foreign policy.
Most state legislators don't understand the constitution. So you kind of have to educate these people that are willing to be educated, that are willing to fight for this. But even just say, I just recently explained the process of what it would take from even just the filing to get it through a committee. Well, in order to get it to committee, we have to force leadership to assign it to a committee. After it gets assigned to a committee, we have to force them to hear it.
After they hear it, we have to force them to vote on it. Then people think that that's the end. No, we also have to force them to pass it. So it's a struggle every single send of the way. And the problem is, is that the generals, the Pentagon, DC, the establishment, never failed to show up to bully the politicians and go towards a path of least resistance.
And so if the grassroots isn't there, but the generals are, the politicians will squish, they will bend and they will try to kill this bill. It is only when the grassroots shows up at every single step that I just articulated that we get this bill through.
Diego, I think the points that you just brought up are so important in understanding the process of. it's a civics lesson is what you just gave us really on how to get something passed. In a legislator in a state, but now you mentioned that, are you doing this alone or do you have other people helping you? Because you mentioned having to reach out to first find the right type of state legislator that would take on your fight. So is this something you're doing alone or do you have a little bit of help here?
Well, bring our troops home is three people. And we do do this with local on the ground activists. But as far as the organization, I, I cover grassroots. There's a comms director and then there's Dan, the president. but it's, uh, when I say we're grassroots, we're grassroots.
But it is really interesting to hear the steps in the process, because you do have to find the right politician to take it on. And this goes for anything. If you're listening to this and you say, I want this to happen in my state, this is the process that you have to go through. So I think it's important to get active and, and, like Diego said a few minutes ago, be a part of something before you jump in to take on whatever it is that you have in your mind, that you want to take on. But again, you have to find that politician.
Then you have to get them to assign it in a committee. And then in the committee, you have to have a hearing. And then from the hearing, it would eventually hopefully go for vote. So those are all the steps, aren't they, Diego? Yes,
it is. And let me just add, so that people feel that I'm not coming to that. Like if they think that it's impossible to ever get to the point that they can learn, I promise I'm not smarter than anybody that's listening to this. I'll give you a perfect example. I've knocked doors for candidates.
The first time I ever knocked a door, I did it awkwardly. The person to open the door, I failed to articulate myself. I stammered. I stuttered. The person just closed the door on me, just slammed the door in my face.
Now I could get to the point just a few weeks later, where I had people literally come open the door, pull a gun out on me, and I could turn that around and be like, I see you're a fan of the second amendment. You're going to love my candidate. And by the end of that interaction, have their vote. So when I say just get involved, get involved, because if I can go from stuttering and stammering and just failing to use words at a door to turning a hostile interaction into a vote, you can too.
It takes practice, no matter what we do in life. And this is another example of that. I think it's a great cause, what you're trying to do. And it really sounds like you've had success. There's only three of you in the organization.
I want you to tell that organization again, but there's three of you and you have legislation in 30 states. Are all 30 states going to be able to vote on that in this session? Or is this also another part of the process that could go into next year and the year after?
It's unlikely that all 30, just because we have to figure out how to allocate resources as best as we can. And so, for example, I'll give you a stone Missouri in Missouri. It's been filed. So that's awesome on the bill champion, but also we have to now encourage leadership to assign it to a committee. We have to encourage the committee chairman to schedule it for a hearing.
We have to then call the rest of the members of the committee there to call them and tell them that we want this heard, voted and passed. Because sometimes they might hear it, but they won't vote on it, because politicians don't like to actually put up. They don't like to go on record. And then, so if they do go on record, they're still going to try to kill it. So they'll vote against it.
So we have to urge them to go against their natural inclination, which is to vote against it and then to actually do the right thing. So that's hard enough. And so we have to figure out where our fights are. And with the limited resources that we have, we can't always do that. In every state equally,
some people just show up for certain amount of fights. And if we had a bigger pool from which to organize these grassroots efforts, we could potentially do it, but it's just not possible with what we have. So like in New Hampshire, we've passed the house and that took a large effort, because that was endless amount of petitioning, endless amount of door knocking, lit, dropping, phone, banking, calling the committees, educating them. They'd have a response. We have a response back.
Some states say, look, the attorney general says it's unconstitutional. We'll have a constitutional scholar write them back and say, actually, no, the attorney general's completely wrong on this issue. And here's why. So it's not, it's not going to be equal at every state, but it also, depending on the state of which you're hearing this, your involvement changes. how likely that is, because maybe in your state, it's not even filed, or maybe it's filed, but there's no one showing up to fight for it.
And that political pressure makes all the difference in the world with politicians, because that's all. they count on your vote. And if you're the one calling them and complaining and wanting something to get passed, they're much more likely to hear you and listen to you. Let's go back to Missouri real quick, because you mentioned a timing on that. When does their session end in Missouri?
Because it's usually what, May or June, sometime in there that most of these states shut down their assembly. So you have limited time every year that the assembly comes into session.
Correct. So, and I would say, most states, by the time you get to May or June, they've already had sine die. So, like late States, like North Carolina would see an end towards June, but most of them wrap up after three or four months. So by April, these guys are already back home.
Diego, if you could tell everybody again, the organization where they can go to find out what it is you guys are doing and the two other names that are involved with that. And then also tell everybody how they can follow you on social media, kind of just tell everybody where they can find you guys.
Sure. So the organization was founded by Dan McKnight and you can find that at bringourtroopshome.us. So that's a website. Our main project that we focus on is Defend the Guard legislation. So you can go to defendtheguard.us.
And so we have a really good guy that puts all of this together, that does wonderful write-ups. He's our comms, director, Hunter Durences. And you can follow the troops home social at, at, at troops home US. So if you follow that on Twitter and for me, if you want to email me or find me contact, I will help you throughout the process of doing this. I encourage you to help.
if this is something that you care about as well, because it's not just again about this issue is that you can, a lot of the skills that you'll learn, the tools that you'll use, you can apply that to your thing too. And you can start to watch your project grow as well. And so, if you want to,
I'm not big on social, but Diego for Liberty on, on the Twitter and Diego at bringourtroopshome.net. So I know the websites are.us, but for the email, it's.net. And so if you just type in D, I, E, G, O at bringourtroopshome.net, you can do that. And if you don't have time, you're busy, you got a family, maybe this seems a little bit too cumbersome. You can always donate because, like I said, we're grassroots and that's a 10, seven club.com.
That's all spelled out.
Diego Rivera is who you are listening to. And, again, what they are trying to accomplish. And you've heard a civics lesson here on how you go about doing that, but what they are trying to accomplish is take away the ability of anyone in the federal government to send our national guard troops overseas to fight a war that has not been declared a war by the Congress. And that's me just simplifying what they are trying to do. And they're trying to get this done through state legislatures across the country.
So great, great work, Diego. Good luck. We'll keep an eye on that. And thank you so much for joining the conversation.
It's been my pleasure.
I'm always struck by how many Americans are out there doing the things like Diego is doing. You may not know about it, but that's one of the things that I try to do from time to time on this program is bring awareness to the fact that there are people like Diego out there on the front lines in America, doing the groundwork from the grassroots up. That's where the difference is going to be made. If you're going to take the power away from those few elites, they ran this coup on Joe Biden over the last few weeks. It has to be done by we, the people, and we have to be active.
We have to be doing something to make a difference. That's the only way. Unfortunately, coming up tonight at nine o'clock, it is after dark with Robin Andrew. at eight o'clock. It is the national security hour.
coming up next. It is Chris Michaels with unleashed the political news hour. Stay around for that. My name is Booker Scott, and thank you so much for joining us here on America Out Loud talk radio. And, for the truth be told, you are the most important part of this program and this network and this mission.
We ask that you share this work so that other people will know what's going on in America. You don't like the mainstream media, so push this information out so that other people will hear what actually is going on. A lot of smart people are here on this network. Use them to share the information. Use these programs and these articles that you find on America out loud dot news to share the information, to get the truth out.
You're so important to that mission. And thank you for being here and listening as always. Don't forget. You were told 2000 years ago that you are the salt of the earth and salt without flavor. It has no value.
So whatever you do, keep being salty. Have yourself a great night.
There is only one truth. You've been listening to the truth. Be told, with Booker Scott on America out loud.
Amen.
