I promise you.

00:00:26.06 – 00:00:27.58

We put a lot of work into the radio show.

00:00:27.62 – 00:00:28.12

Check it out.

00:00:28.12 – 00:00:30.30

But before that, let me tell you about our first sponsor.

00:00:31.26 – 00:00:36.38

Last month, the G20 announced a plan to impose digital currencies and digital IDs on their

00:00:36.38 – 00:00:36.86

population.

00:00:37.00 – 00:00:40.74

Central bank digital currencies essentially could allow the government to track every

00:00:40.74 – 00:00:41.68

purchase someone makes.

00:00:42.14 – 00:00:45.48

Some believe it could even prohibit someone from purchasing certain products or freeze

00:00:45.48 – 00:00:47.66

or seize part of all their money, but warned about this forever.

00:00:48.42 – 00:00:52.98

Concerned Americans are diversifying their assets into physical gold with the help of

00:00:52.98 – 00:00:53.84

Birch Gold Group.

00:00:54.40 – 00:00:58.06

If you want physical gold held in a tax-sheltered retirement account, call Birch Gold.

00:00:58.34 – 00:00:59.84

I buy gold through Birch Gold.

00:01:00.16 – 00:01:00.40

Why?

00:01:00.50 – 00:01:01.20

Because I trust them.

00:01:01.24 – 00:01:01.86

I've used them twice.

00:01:02.44 – 00:01:07.08

Get a free information kit on gold IRAs by texting the word DAN to 989898.

00:01:07.18 – 00:01:10.64

Listen, if you have an IRA or 401k from a previous employer, Birch Gold can help you

00:01:10.64 – 00:01:13.68

convert it to an IRA in gold, and you don't pay a penny out of pocket.

00:01:14.06 – 00:01:16.56

Again, text DAN to the number 989898.

00:01:16.66 – 00:01:19.26

Claim your free information kit from Birch Gold.

00:01:19.32 – 00:01:23.38

Because if digital currency becomes a reality, it'll be nice to have some gold to fall back

00:01:23.38 – 00:01:23.58

on.

00:01:23.64 – 00:01:24.54

Performance may vary.

00:01:25.20 – 00:01:28.36

Consult with your tax attorney or financial professional before making an investment decision.

00:01:28.88 – 00:01:30.28

Message and data rates apply.

00:01:31.42 – 00:01:33.54

First up today, we talk with Nick Searcy.

00:01:33.90 – 00:01:34.94

He's a pretty famous actor.

00:01:35.04 – 00:01:37.72

You probably know him from a lot of those famous shows and movies out there.

00:01:37.78 – 00:01:41.44

Did you know he was in Moneyball, by the way, one of my favorite movies, and Days of Thunder

00:01:41.44 – 00:01:41.80

too.

00:01:42.38 – 00:01:45.74

We talked to him about his acting career and Hollywood's aversion to conservatives and

00:01:45.74 – 00:01:49.54

about his role in our new movie, Police State, which is tearing it up in theaters.

00:01:49.76 – 00:01:50.38

Check this out.

00:01:51.42 – 00:01:55.88

Man, I'm like extra super stoked about talking to this next guest.

00:01:56.06 – 00:01:56.62

Super stoked.

00:01:56.68 – 00:01:58.04

Sound like I smoke weed or something.

00:01:58.42 – 00:02:01.28

Bro, I'm like super, I don't, I'm not a drug guy.

00:02:01.38 – 00:02:02.58

Drugs is not my bag of donuts.

00:02:03.08 – 00:02:08.10

Maybe a little tequila or some vino tinto once in a while, but the Drugos, no good.

00:02:08.18 – 00:02:08.70

Don't do them.

00:02:09.36 – 00:02:10.06

This is your brain.

00:02:10.14 – 00:02:13.74

I remember that growing up with a little egg stuff, but I'm really excited about this guest

00:02:13.74 – 00:02:18.86

because I've grown up watching him in movies and on TV, a very, very famous actor.

00:02:18.86 – 00:02:22.26

And before you, oh, my gosh, actor, yes, he's actually a conservative, which is so

00:02:22.26 – 00:02:23.88

crazy in the acting space.

00:02:23.92 – 00:02:24.92

Welcoming to the show.

00:02:25.22 – 00:02:27.12

The great Nick Searcy.

00:02:27.26 – 00:02:29.34

Nick, thank you so much for spending some time with us.

00:02:29.38 – 00:02:30.54

Really appreciate it.

00:02:30.80 – 00:02:32.18

Dan, great to be here.

00:02:32.34 – 00:02:34.76

Looking forward to meeting you in person this weekend.

00:02:35.70 – 00:02:36.38

Oh, me too.

00:02:36.42 – 00:02:37.26

It's going to be great.

00:02:37.34 – 00:02:42.34

Now, you have you've had a long and I mean, really long career in Hollywood.

00:02:42.36 – 00:02:47.26

You've been in so many movies that when I first heard about you, I looked you up.

00:02:47.30 – 00:02:48.10

I couldn't believe it.

00:02:48.10 – 00:02:53.80

You've been in two of my favorite movies, Days of Thunder, which I love.

00:02:53.92 – 00:02:55.78

People crapped on Days of Thunder.

00:02:56.04 – 00:02:57.28

I love Days of Thunder.

00:02:57.38 – 00:02:59.44

Anytime it's on TV, I watch it all the time.

00:02:59.52 – 00:03:01.78

My father used to race cars for a living.

00:03:01.88 – 00:03:05.98

He did figure eight and Moneyball, which we cite on the show all the time.

00:03:06.52 – 00:03:08.64

So you've been around a really long time.

00:03:08.76 – 00:03:10.68

Nobody knows Hollywood better than you.

00:03:10.68 – 00:03:18.78

So what's why do you think it is that 80 plus percent of them, at least openly, are

00:03:18.78 – 00:03:23.82

such diehard liberals, given that they make a lot of money are affected by tax policy

00:03:23.82 – 00:03:27.66

and the Democrats largely hurt the cities they live in, like the West Coast and East

00:03:27.66 – 00:03:28.42

Coast?

00:03:28.98 – 00:03:31.62

I think the reasons are fairly complex.

00:03:31.62 – 00:03:33.60

I mean, I get asked that all the time.

00:03:33.76 – 00:03:35.44

It is hard to understand.

00:03:35.68 – 00:03:38.20

I think a lot of it is group think.

00:03:38.20 – 00:03:46.28

I mean, I think a lot of it is like it's so hard to get a job as an actor that you want

00:03:46.28 – 00:03:49.20

to erase all the factors that might disqualify you.

00:03:49.62 – 00:03:54.72

And if your politics might disqualify you, then you just sort of a lot of them just sort

00:03:54.72 – 00:04:01.02

of adopt right politics because they know it would hurt them to come out as a conservative.

00:04:01.24 – 00:04:03.50

And it's also the nature of being an actor.

00:04:03.68 – 00:04:05.64

You're basically an empath.

00:04:05.64 – 00:04:10.34

You know, a lot of times you're trying to imagine what another person feels.

00:04:11.32 – 00:04:17.24

And that's not necessarily translate into analytical thought, if you know what I mean.

00:04:17.36 – 00:04:23.34

So we've got a lot of healing, you know, feelings directed people out in Hollywood.

00:04:24.00 – 00:04:27.96

We're talking to Nick Searcy, award winning actor, just a tremendous guy.

00:04:28.02 – 00:04:29.64

And he loves this country, folks.

00:04:29.70 – 00:04:31.54

I mean, really, really loves this country.

00:04:32.10 – 00:04:36.68

Nick, you you were justified was obviously a huge moment for you.

00:04:36.86 – 00:04:38.72

You were I mean, people love the show.

00:04:38.80 – 00:04:41.10

It's going to live on in syndication forever.

00:04:41.64 – 00:04:46.40

You you were you've been a household name for a long time because I spoke to John Rich

00:04:46.40 – 00:04:49.92

about the country music scene, about this, too, what you just said that he said.

00:04:49.96 – 00:04:53.56

Yeah, I think it's hard to break through in the music industry just like it is Hollywood.

00:04:53.70 – 00:04:58.84

But he said guys like him and guys like you that have a body of work, you guys have the

00:04:58.84 – 00:05:02.74

luxury of being able to speak out and kind of lend your voice to others who are probably

00:05:02.74 – 00:05:08.12

quiet. So my question to you before we get to the movie is, is there a quiet bubble of

00:05:08.12 – 00:05:13.22

Hollywood people out there who are, in fact, conservative and unlike you are just kind

00:05:13.22 – 00:05:15.26

of afraid to speak out about it?

00:05:16.16 – 00:05:17.12

Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:05:17.28 – 00:05:22.38

Yeah. I mean, there's an awful lot of people who if you if you didn't know their name,

00:05:22.42 – 00:05:25.90

you would know their face who kind of come up to me all the time.

00:05:25.90 – 00:05:29.40

You know, I work with them here and there and they're like, well, I really agree with

00:05:29.40 – 00:05:34.54

you. But if I really came out like you did, I know it would I would never work again.

00:05:34.54 – 00:05:36.76

And I've got four kids and all that, you know.

00:05:36.84 – 00:05:39.30

So and, you know, in a way, I don't blame them.

00:05:39.30 – 00:05:43.06

It's not like they these people are not like vocal on the other side.

00:05:43.12 – 00:05:48.20

They're they're kind of what my friend Adam Baldwin calls noncombatant.

00:05:48.54 – 00:05:53.26

They're they're on our side, but they're not really going to take up arms with us.

00:05:53.26 – 00:05:56.56

Right. They're like those those people in the video game.

00:05:56.78 – 00:05:58.28

You can't actually play the character.

00:05:58.50 – 00:05:59.94

They're just there in the background.

00:06:00.24 – 00:06:01.02

I totally get it.

00:06:01.38 – 00:06:02.60

NPCs. Yeah, they're NPCs.

00:06:02.60 – 00:06:04.14

Yeah, the NPCs. Right, right.

00:06:04.18 – 00:06:05.26

We're talking to Nick Searcy.

00:06:05.68 – 00:06:10.64

So, Nick, when Dinesh D'Souza initially initially called me and he said, Dan, I'm really

00:06:10.64 – 00:06:16.90

thinking about doing this project about this metastasizing cancerous police state going

00:06:16.90 – 00:06:19.56

after Donald Trump, going after Tea Party groups.

00:06:20.30 – 00:06:21.88

I said, Dinesh, I'm in.

00:06:21.88 – 00:06:24.94

Just you got to tell me who's associated with the project.

00:06:25.12 – 00:06:28.22

And he said, well, Nick Searcy's guy said, that's it.

00:06:28.24 – 00:06:29.32

I'm good. Like, I'm in.

00:06:29.48 – 00:06:30.98

I didn't need to hear anything else.

00:06:31.12 – 00:06:31.98

I'm dead serious.

00:06:32.10 – 00:06:34.18

Like, he'll tell you. I was like, I love Nick.

00:06:34.40 – 00:06:37.82

If it's you and Dinesh, like a soul, don't even worry about it.

00:06:37.84 – 00:06:39.28

You're in the movie Police State.

00:06:39.82 – 00:06:43.62

I went and saw it in a theater in Stewart, Florida, on Monday with a group of people.

00:06:43.68 – 00:06:49.26

It's the first time, Nick, I've seen a movie with the computer effects and the sound, the

00:06:49.26 – 00:06:51.92

dialogue. Obviously, I saw the dialogue, but the sound.

00:06:52.44 – 00:06:56.22

And I think you being a Hollywood guy, you'll understand this more than the audience or

00:06:56.22 – 00:07:01.60

even me. When I saw the screen or without the music beds and without the effects, I

00:07:01.60 – 00:07:02.58

still love the movie.

00:07:02.72 – 00:07:08.74

But you don't realize how much the music and the effects and the credits and stuff add

00:07:08.74 – 00:07:14.00

to the theatrical experience, because I got choked up as if I'd never seen the movie

00:07:14.00 – 00:07:15.96

before in my life when I saw it in the theater.

00:07:16.92 – 00:07:19.74

Yeah, I was moved a couple of times myself.

00:07:20.14 – 00:07:26.12

And yeah, I mean, when you get it all put together like that, it really is it's a really

00:07:26.12 – 00:07:27.26

well done production.

00:07:27.28 – 00:07:33.84

I mean, the graphics, the music, every aspect of Police State is really, really well

00:07:33.84 – 00:07:40.06

done. And, you know, when Dinesh called me to do it, he said, you know, we're going to

00:07:40.06 – 00:07:41.16

do some reenactments.

00:07:41.16 – 00:07:45.86

And, you know, we'd really like for you to play the lead FBI guy.

00:07:46.42 – 00:07:47.70

And I said two things.

00:07:47.80 – 00:07:48.82

I said, well, that'll be fun.

00:07:48.86 – 00:07:50.20

I've played Democrats before.

00:07:54.26 – 00:07:59.00

And and the other thing I said was, yeah, I think this will get me a lot of work in

00:07:59.00 – 00:08:00.38

Hollywood. So, yeah, I'm in.

00:08:00.68 – 00:08:02.62

So, Nick, you're a mate.

00:08:02.68 – 00:08:07.34

You actually steal the show in the movie, which I'm slightly angry about because I told

00:08:07.34 – 00:08:10.84

my dad to go see the movie and he didn't mention my part in it at all.

00:08:10.84 – 00:08:12.00

He only mentioned you.

00:08:12.12 – 00:08:14.84

He's like, man, the justified guy, Nick, is it?

00:08:14.88 – 00:08:16.62

I said, yes, dad, I know, I know.

00:08:16.74 – 00:08:18.44

And he said, he's so great as the FBI guy.

00:08:18.56 – 00:08:21.50

But one of the things about the movie is you play the lead FBI.

00:08:21.64 – 00:08:22.66

It's kind of a docudrama.

00:08:22.74 – 00:08:25.82

It's a lot of documentary footage and obviously interviews and stuff.

00:08:25.86 – 00:08:27.86

And the movie's been just blowing people away.

00:08:28.22 – 00:08:29.44

The reviews have been incredible.

00:08:30.56 – 00:08:34.70

But did you do a lot of character homework with FBI guys?

00:08:34.74 – 00:08:38.44

And the reason I ask is I've been a law enforcement guy my whole life.

00:08:38.44 – 00:08:42.06

And there's little moments in the movie that if you're not law enforcement, I don't

00:08:42.06 – 00:08:43.92

think people will catch like my wife missed it.

00:08:44.00 – 00:08:49.58

There's one scene where you're talking to a junior FBI agent in the car and you call

00:08:49.58 – 00:08:55.44

him an FNG, which is a law enforcement term for, let's just say, blanking new guy.

00:08:55.60 – 00:08:57.30

And my wife had no idea what that meant.

00:08:57.32 – 00:09:00.92

And I'm like, Nick must have heard that somewhere and done some character study.

00:09:01.30 – 00:09:04.46

So did you talk to Kyle and these other guys, the FBI guys?

00:09:04.56 – 00:09:05.78

How did you dig into that character?

00:09:06.46 – 00:09:11.68

Oh, yeah. Well, Kyle, Kyle Seraphin and Steve Friend were great technical advisors.

00:09:11.82 – 00:09:15.34

They were with me and they they gave me a lot of those terms and a lot of that

00:09:15.34 – 00:09:18.14

dialogue, really. They fed me that stuff.

00:09:18.36 – 00:09:21.36

But, you know, for one thing, I've played a lot of law enforcement.

00:09:21.62 – 00:09:23.68

That's a lot of what I've done in my career.

00:09:23.80 – 00:09:25.14

I mean, Justified was U.S.

00:09:25.22 – 00:09:26.60

Marshal. I've played cops.

00:09:26.78 – 00:09:30.02

I mean, patrol, everything, every every law enforcement official.

00:09:30.02 – 00:09:32.72

I don't think you can name one that I haven't played.

00:09:32.76 – 00:09:34.36

So I've been around it for a long time.

00:09:34.36 – 00:09:39.76

And the other thing is that, you know, I was there on January 6th and I made a film

00:09:39.76 – 00:09:43.12

about it, you know, and I've been interviewing people for two years.

00:09:43.20 – 00:09:46.60

We're working on the sequel now called Capital Punishment.

00:09:46.78 – 00:09:48.92

The sequel, of course, is Capital Punishment, too.

00:09:49.00 – 00:09:52.44

But I'm very familiar with what the FBI has been doing.

00:09:52.56 – 00:09:56.70

I've interviewed a lot of people who've had their doors broken down and and, you

00:09:56.70 – 00:10:00.82

know, the way they've been treated and talked to by these FBI raids.

00:10:00.82 – 00:10:04.32

And so it was something that I was quite familiar with.

00:10:04.44 – 00:10:07.78

And that, you know, when Dinesh asked me to be part of it, I was like, absolutely.

00:10:08.08 – 00:10:12.16

This is an issue I care deeply about and I want to be a part of this.

00:10:12.84 – 00:10:14.32

We're talking to Nick Searcy.

00:10:14.48 – 00:10:17.12

He is the lead in our new film, Police State.

00:10:17.48 – 00:10:19.64

It is out again tonight in theaters.

00:10:19.80 – 00:10:21.16

It's been selling out across the country.

00:10:21.28 – 00:10:23.60

The website is PoliceStateFilm.net.

00:10:23.98 – 00:10:25.60

It's the only place you can buy tickets.

00:10:26.40 – 00:10:29.10

Nick, I think the you know, a good movie.

00:10:29.10 – 00:10:30.52

Again, this is your business.

00:10:30.72 – 00:10:32.46

And if I'm wrong, cut me off at the knees.

00:10:32.60 – 00:10:33.92

But I love movies.

00:10:34.08 – 00:10:39.18

I love films, you know, and I think a good movie, even a mediocre movie, is a good

00:10:39.18 – 00:10:40.84

movie with a good beginning and a good end.

00:10:41.02 – 00:10:47.04

But a great movie is a good middle, but a great beginning and a great end.

00:10:47.12 – 00:10:50.12

And the one thing I'm hearing about this movie across the country, I think you're

00:10:50.12 – 00:10:52.88

hearing, too, is the beginning just grabs you.

00:10:52.96 – 00:10:55.12

I mean, just right away rips you in.

00:10:55.12 – 00:11:00.54

And the end scene, without giving it away, everybody's getting up in the theaters

00:11:00.54 – 00:11:02.06

singing our national anthem.

00:11:02.22 – 00:11:03.02

It's for a reason.

00:11:03.44 – 00:11:07.78

The beginning and the end of this movie are just I mean, they get the closet in.

00:11:07.86 – 00:11:08.66

It doesn't let go.

00:11:10.12 – 00:11:11.72

Yeah, and it's terrifying.

00:11:12.12 – 00:11:15.98

And the fact of the matter is, even though it's a reenactment, I mean, that is

00:11:15.98 – 00:11:18.48

exactly what is happening to these people.

00:11:18.76 – 00:11:22.56

You get people who went to Washington on January 6th who never went in the

00:11:22.56 – 00:11:26.06

building, never been arrested for anything before in their lives.

00:11:26.66 – 00:11:31.36

And suddenly they're treated like they are cartel leaders or serial killers.

00:11:31.52 – 00:11:35.92

When, you know, people like this, this is what you would expect, you know, a phone

00:11:35.92 – 00:11:40.04

call to say, hey, we'd like to talk to you instead of treating them like they're

00:11:40.04 – 00:11:45.56

some dangerous criminal when they've actually never committed a violent act in

00:11:45.56 – 00:11:46.84

their entire lives.

00:11:46.84 – 00:11:52.88

And then, you know, the ending is so moving to people because after you go

00:11:52.88 – 00:11:58.20

through the movie, you realize what a shame it is that this is happening in this

00:11:58.20 – 00:11:58.90

great country.

00:11:59.04 – 00:12:04.24

And you remember what this country is supposed to be and how badly it's being

00:12:05.38 – 00:12:07.38

defamed by the people in power now.

00:12:07.80 – 00:12:09.54

Yeah, we're talking to Nick Searcy.

00:12:09.88 – 00:12:12.10

He is the lead in the new film Police State.

00:12:12.34 – 00:12:15.50

It's filmed by Nick, Dinesh D'Souza and me.

00:12:15.50 – 00:12:19.58

Nick, I'll let you go last question, but this one, you know, I had a friend of

00:12:19.58 – 00:12:22.78

mine, he's a very close friend and he's not particularly political.

00:12:23.02 – 00:12:25.60

I mean, he knows about politics, but he's not, he doesn't do what, you know, what

00:12:25.60 – 00:12:27.42

we do, where we follow this stuff all the time.

00:12:27.88 – 00:12:32.60

And he wasn't saw it only really because I was involved in it and it really hit

00:12:32.60 – 00:12:36.60

him. I mean, he said, I never really thought about that with January 6th, that

00:12:37.12 – 00:12:41.50

these people like Joe Bolanos, who cries in the film, this older gentleman who had

00:12:41.50 – 00:12:45.66

a stroke after they kicked in his mom's door and raided his house simply for having

00:12:45.66 – 00:12:48.60

a video of the Stop the Steal rally on his phone.

00:12:48.66 – 00:12:51.24

The guy had a stroke. His mother passed away.

00:12:51.36 – 00:12:52.76

I mean, it's the saddest story.

00:12:53.18 – 00:12:55.00

You will be in tears when you listen to him talk.

00:12:55.64 – 00:12:57.52

My friend said to me, you know, you're right, Dan.

00:12:57.96 – 00:12:59.18

He goes, it happened to this guy.

00:12:59.26 – 00:13:04.28

Yet these Antifa people who showed up at the White House with BLM and made such

00:13:04.28 – 00:13:07.06

chaos that Donald Trump had to be evacuated into the bunker.

00:13:07.24 – 00:13:08.84

And then they laughed about it.

00:13:09.02 – 00:13:10.76

And then they burned down American cities.

00:13:10.76 – 00:13:13.68

He's like, why don't we see any of the video of those raids?

00:13:13.84 – 00:13:15.34

He's like, I never really thought about that.

00:13:15.38 – 00:13:16.68

And the answer is because they didn't happen.

00:13:16.90 – 00:13:21.78

That's why this is really hitting people who are on the fringes of politics, who are

00:13:21.78 – 00:13:25.06

seeing for the first time that we are on the road to a police state.

00:13:26.86 – 00:13:28.40

Yeah, well, that's a wonderful thing.

00:13:28.50 – 00:13:29.84

I mean, that's a great story, Dan.

00:13:29.84 – 00:13:31.50

I hope it happens for more people.

00:13:31.60 – 00:13:36.02

I mean, a lot of times what happens with us is people on the other side won't listen.

00:13:36.70 – 00:13:39.96

They can't listen to it because it might disrupt their worldview.

00:13:40.44 – 00:13:45.56

And they are so invested in their own moral superiority that they can't possibly

00:13:45.56 – 00:13:50.50

consider the fact that the FBI and the Department of Justice might be mistreating

00:13:50.50 – 00:13:55.22

these people. And, you know, not only the man you mentioned in the film, but Jerry

00:13:55.22 – 00:13:58.28

Perna, her nephew, Matthew Perna, hung himself.

00:13:58.54 – 00:14:03.78

And I've talked to so many people who basically have had their lives destroyed,

00:14:03.78 – 00:14:09.34

you know, husbands and wives been separated for two years with her husband being in

00:14:09.34 – 00:14:10.52

jail without bond.

00:14:11.56 – 00:14:18.08

And this was the man who was the police deputy sheriff before he went in, Colton

00:14:18.08 – 00:14:20.40

McAbee. I mean, there's so many stories like this.

00:14:20.76 – 00:14:21.76

And I hope you're right.

00:14:21.88 – 00:14:27.98

I hope more people that don't pay attention to politics that often get to see this

00:14:27.98 – 00:14:33.94

movie and get to realize that this is this is happening to a lot of people in this

00:14:33.94 – 00:14:36.88

country. And there's no reason that can't happen to them someday.

00:14:38.58 – 00:14:40.18

Nick, we're talking to Nick Searcy.

00:14:40.32 – 00:14:44.08

Nick, when your other project comes out with Capital Punishment 2, we'd love to have

00:14:44.08 – 00:14:45.62

you back. You're always welcome on the show.

00:14:45.68 – 00:14:48.82

Of course, it's an open invite, but you did an amazing job in the movie.

00:14:49.26 – 00:14:55.44

I mean, I've worked around FBI, IRS, TIGTA, you know, Secret Service my whole life.

00:14:55.44 – 00:14:58.18

And you're as convincing as an FBI agent as I've ever seen.

00:14:58.24 – 00:15:00.36

So you do a great job. The movie's Police State, folks.

00:15:00.86 – 00:15:01.64

Starring Nick Searcy.

00:15:01.86 – 00:15:03.78

Don't miss it. It's out in theaters tonight.

00:15:04.62 – 00:15:05.34

PoliceStateFilm.net.

00:15:05.64 – 00:15:06.50

Nick, thanks for your time.

00:15:06.56 – 00:15:08.68

We appreciate it. Thank you, Dan.

00:15:08.76 – 00:15:10.06

It's an honor to be part of it.

00:15:10.14 – 00:15:11.44

It really is. Yes, sir.

00:15:11.58 – 00:15:12.62

Thank you, Nick Searcy.

00:15:13.52 – 00:15:14.84

I really urge you to see this movie.

00:15:14.92 – 00:15:17.60

It's important. DVDs are available for preorder now.

00:15:18.70 – 00:15:19.42

PoliceStateFilm.net.

00:15:20.00 – 00:15:21.52

I really hope you check it out.

00:15:21.56 – 00:15:25.34

You're going to like it. Up next, I had some serious thoughts about where we're headed as a

00:15:25.34 – 00:15:27.40

country. But first, let me tell you about our next sponsor.

00:15:28.22 – 00:15:31.74

Folks, listen, I'm not here to nag you about your diet, but here's the hard reality.

00:15:32.26 – 00:15:36.76

As you get older, if you're not eating healthy, you're aging faster than everyone else.

00:15:37.22 – 00:15:38.24

We're all going to die.

00:15:38.90 – 00:15:39.76

We're all going to die.

00:15:40.08 – 00:15:43.72

The thing is, you want to die later and you don't want to be miserable your entire life.

00:15:44.00 – 00:15:48.30

You know, you want to die at 100 years old in your sleep with a heart attack, with no

00:15:48.30 – 00:15:50.02

diseases and no arthritis and nothing else.

00:15:50.06 – 00:15:53.56

Well, I can't promise you that, but I can promise you one of the ways to better health

00:15:53.56 – 00:15:54.72

is good nutrition.

00:16:12.38 – 00:16:13.58

nails will look healthier, too.

Go today. You'll thank me later.

00:16:51.50 – 00:16:55.84

This op ed piece in The Wall Street Journal made me think, are we on the right moral arc

00:16:55.84 – 00:17:00.86

of history? I have a lot of questions about whether we are or we aren't.

00:17:01.62 – 00:17:02.96

Please take a minute and listen.

00:17:04.46 – 00:17:07.88

You know, I think it's important we keep in mind that.

00:17:09.62 – 00:17:15.04

You know, sometimes we I think specifically us Americans.

00:17:16.62 – 00:17:21.20

Because we're so successful and prosperous, the most prosperous, successful,

00:17:21.44 – 00:17:25.58

militarily powerful country in the history of the world, I mean, it's just a fact

00:17:25.58 – 00:17:31.00

and easily backed up fact by statistics, data, GDP,

00:17:32.10 – 00:17:35.64

our nuclear payload, our ability to project force around the world.

00:17:37.80 – 00:17:41.62

I think there's this idea we have, especially here.

00:17:42.18 – 00:17:47.70

That there is this kind of arc to history and it all bends in a morally correct,

00:17:48.12 – 00:17:49.74

ethically proper direction, and.

00:17:50.48 – 00:17:53.18

You know, we're getting more civilized.

00:17:53.28 – 00:17:54.56

It's kind of the M.

00:17:54.64 – 00:17:58.60

Scott Peck road less traveled approach where if you ever read that book in the 80s,

00:17:58.62 – 00:18:00.46

it was a super popular book.

00:18:00.52 – 00:18:02.04

I've read it a couple of times. One of my favorites.

00:18:03.12 – 00:18:04.16

He's since passed.

00:18:05.46 – 00:18:10.36

But he was an expert on internal human conflict, a psychiatrist.

00:18:11.00 – 00:18:14.38

And he you know, in his book, he writes about how, you know, it's odd,

00:18:14.46 – 00:18:18.14

like is one of the reasons he talks about, you know, divinity is

00:18:18.80 – 00:18:22.18

how everything else in nature becomes more chaotic over time.

00:18:22.24 – 00:18:24.38

I mean, you leave your bushes without cutting the hedges.

00:18:24.46 – 00:18:26.48

They grow chaotic. You leave oil and water.

00:18:26.78 – 00:18:28.72

It gets chaotic. You don't shake it.

00:18:28.84 – 00:18:31.70

And, you know, it doesn't uniform.

00:18:31.94 – 00:18:32.94

Bubbles don't appear.

00:18:33.78 – 00:18:38.72

Except human beings who become generally more organized and prosperous over time.

00:18:38.72 – 00:18:40.02

But maybe that's an illusion.

00:18:43.28 – 00:18:47.06

You know, I I say that because during the break, you know, I like to read,

00:18:47.10 – 00:18:48.28

I don't like wasting any time,

00:18:48.36 – 00:18:52.00

and Jerry Baker has a piece up at The Wall Street Journal just popped 10 minutes ago.

00:18:53.96 – 00:18:55.22

And he says in here.

00:18:56.40 – 00:18:59.84

There's a geopolitical version of Whiggish history,

00:18:59.96 – 00:19:03.22

the idea that the world is evolving on some great hidden trajectory

00:19:03.22 – 00:19:05.18

toward liberty, democracy and enlightenment.

00:19:06.86 – 00:19:09.68

Quotes Martin Luther King, the arc of the moral universe

00:19:09.68 – 00:19:12.70

bends toward justice, as Martin Luther King put it.

00:19:14.18 – 00:19:15.88

But Baker says, but what if it doesn't?

00:19:19.14 – 00:19:21.84

Folks, I think that's a pretty valid question right now.

00:19:24.12 – 00:19:28.44

You know, on one hand, you have kind of the if you took a literature

00:19:28.44 – 00:19:32.88

class in high school or college, you have the Swiss family Robinson theory, right?

00:19:32.88 – 00:19:35.96

That men left to his devices over time.

00:19:36.06 – 00:19:37.94

The moral arc of history leads towards right.

00:19:37.98 – 00:19:40.22

We're all going to be like Swiss family Robinson.

00:19:40.38 – 00:19:42.88

We'll get lost on our own, but it'd be be a treehouse

00:19:42.88 – 00:19:44.94

and be a couple of dramas here and there.

00:19:45.00 – 00:19:46.82

But overall, in the end, we peace, love and happiness.

00:19:47.14 – 00:19:50.24

And we'll all get along well with each other.

00:19:50.60 – 00:19:53.26

And. But is that really how it is?

00:19:54.88 – 00:19:57.82

What if it's more Lord of the Flies, Ralph and Piggy and stuff?

00:20:00.56 – 00:20:02.74

And that seem more likely right now.

00:20:04.00 – 00:20:06.30

I mean, how is it that we live in the year 2023?

00:20:06.64 – 00:20:07.52

Last time I checked.

00:20:08.66 – 00:20:11.46

The world is connected at the snap of a finger.

00:20:12.02 – 00:20:16.62

You can call someone in Djibouti, Africa, on a phone right now.

00:20:16.70 – 00:20:18.94

No problem. And pay almost nothing for it, by the way.

00:20:19.62 – 00:20:24.04

A trip that would have taken you if you even made it 200 years ago,

00:20:24.20 – 00:20:27.80

probably more than a month if you even would have lived through it or even

00:20:27.80 – 00:20:29.48

known where Djibouti was.

00:20:29.94 – 00:20:31.62

The whole world's interconnected.

00:20:32.10 – 00:20:35.20

We're supposedly these civilized creatures now.

00:20:35.36 – 00:20:39.10

And the big problem is misinformation or whatever. And yet.

00:20:40.12 – 00:20:44.94

You know, 10th, 9th, 8th century savagery is just presented itself

00:20:44.94 – 00:20:46.12

just a couple of weeks ago,

00:20:46.12 – 00:20:49.22

and you got a bunch of people on college campuses and marching in the street,

00:20:49.30 – 00:20:50.52

liberal city celebrating it.

00:20:50.82 – 00:20:53.84

Eyeball gouging, raping, hostage taking stuff.

00:20:53.94 – 00:20:56.12

We thought the rules of war applied.

00:20:56.12 – 00:20:58.04

I mean, even in war, we're civilized now, right?

00:20:58.14 – 00:21:00.72

Are we? Are we civilized?

00:21:04.52 – 00:21:06.22

You know, I say that because.

00:21:08.08 – 00:21:08.92

I'm a Christian.

00:21:12.60 – 00:21:14.52

I wish I was a better one at times.

00:21:17.84 – 00:21:21.00

But my faith is real, and it's what gives me so much

00:21:21.00 – 00:21:23.76

moral consternation at times when I fall short.

00:21:24.20 – 00:21:25.64

I mean, if you didn't have faith, you didn't care.

00:21:25.64 – 00:21:27.16

You do what was right for you all the time.

00:21:27.22 – 00:21:28.18

You've hurt someone else, right?

00:21:28.28 – 00:21:29.70

Who cares? There's no penalty for it.

00:21:30.02 – 00:21:31.66

No, there will be a penalty for my sins.

00:21:31.74 – 00:21:34.08

I understand that. It drives me crazy every day.

00:21:35.84 – 00:21:38.90

But I think as a Christian, you want to believe like the world

00:21:38.90 – 00:21:41.38

has kind of evolved since the time of Christ and.

00:21:42.30 – 00:21:45.10

B.C. before Christ as well, and we've all become

00:21:46.24 – 00:21:49.74

more civilized, laser focused on things that really matter now.

00:21:50.38 – 00:21:53.08

Diversity, equity and inclusion, like the left tells us, right?

00:21:53.08 – 00:21:54.64

We're not worried about starvation anymore.

00:21:54.64 – 00:21:56.60

Biggest problem in the United States is obesity.

00:21:58.12 – 00:22:00.58

But are we really all just a group of savages?

00:22:02.02 – 00:22:03.30

As Havelock Ellis said, is.

00:22:04.52 – 00:22:06.84

Civilization just a thin crust on a volcano.

00:22:09.86 – 00:22:13.84

Are we all just are we all just, you know, three or four missed meals away.

00:22:14.90 – 00:22:16.34

From Ralph and Piggy ourselves.

00:22:20.38 – 00:22:22.78

And my dear listeners and friends.

00:22:23.84 – 00:22:27.02

I've had a major transformation over the last three weeks about that.

00:22:27.42 – 00:22:28.56

People I trusted.

00:22:29.68 – 00:22:30.74

Who let me down.

00:22:32.06 – 00:22:34.76

People I really believed in who want total savage.

00:22:38.66 – 00:22:41.24

I got to tell you, very few the other way around.

00:22:42.02 – 00:22:45.66

It happened to few people who I had almost no relationship with

00:22:45.66 – 00:22:49.24

and honestly didn't think much of because I was being just, you know,

00:22:49.48 – 00:22:52.36

I never thought they were really that great and they really stepped up.

00:22:52.78 – 00:22:55.80

And did things and really surprised me, but they were very few.

00:23:00.78 – 00:23:02.56

I'm starting to wonder things, too.

00:23:05.16 – 00:23:07.52

You know, there's that whole tree of liberty line.

00:23:09.52 – 00:23:11.12

To probably take that seriously.

00:23:13.00 – 00:23:16.46

This thing can and will fall apart if we don't water it.

00:23:18.66 – 00:23:20.96

And there's a whole lot of savages.

00:23:20.96 – 00:23:22.66

Out there.

00:23:24.28 – 00:23:27.16

I have never seen anything I've never been so disappointed.

00:23:28.04 – 00:23:30.46

In some of the people in our country, I always understood

00:23:30.46 – 00:23:32.64

the left didn't have an emergency break, believe me.

00:23:32.94 – 00:23:38.30

But I I'm telling you this with candor and exposing my own faults.

00:23:38.92 – 00:23:41.50

I honestly thought it was probably.

00:23:42.70 – 00:23:46.84

Less than 15 percent of the Democrat Party that would really go full savage.

00:23:46.84 – 00:23:53.36

After these last two and three weeks, I'm telling you right now,

00:23:53.40 – 00:23:56.44

it's probably closer to thirty five, forty, maybe more.

00:23:57.40 – 00:23:58.46

I've never seen anything.

00:23:58.56 – 00:24:00.56

I'm not telling you we don't have our problems

00:24:00.56 – 00:24:03.96

in the conservative or hijack conservative movement.

00:24:04.34 – 00:24:08.62

But I'm telling you absolutely as a matter of mathematical fact,

00:24:08.66 – 00:24:10.76

it is nothing like the problem on the left.

00:24:12.72 – 00:24:14.40

We are trying desperately.

00:24:14.40 – 00:24:22.68

To clean up this disgusting shred of just grotesque brutality,

00:24:23.18 – 00:24:26.52

some that emerged on what people claim is our side, it's not.

00:24:27.22 – 00:24:31.78

But it is a sliver of people compared to the demon

00:24:31.78 – 00:24:35.12

savage impulse that has just emerged openly on the left.

00:24:37.70 – 00:24:41.18

Folks, there is no moral ambiguity about what happened.

00:24:42.40 – 00:24:43.82

There is none.

00:24:44.68 – 00:24:49.16

There is no rational actor that can look at a versus B

00:24:49.72 – 00:24:54.74

and say to themselves, yes, they these people deserve to be raped,

00:24:55.04 – 00:24:57.28

have their breasts cut off, have their eyeballs gouged out.

00:24:57.34 – 00:24:59.28

There's no no rational actor would say that.

00:25:03.08 – 00:25:04.48

But, yeah, I'm concerned.

00:25:06.92 – 00:25:10.56

And it's really hard for me to say that because I maybe again, my

00:25:11.48 – 00:25:14.46

Christian faith, however many times I fail to live up to it.

00:25:16.38 – 00:25:19.76

Maybe Father Marty, if you're listening, maybe text me some words of inspiration

00:25:19.76 – 00:25:21.48

because I'm struggling a little bit right now.

00:25:22.44 – 00:25:24.68

Not with content, but emotionally with this.

00:25:25.84 – 00:25:29.84

I always wanted to believe that people had that divine inspiration in them

00:25:29.84 – 00:25:32.48

and we can just bring it out, but maybe that's not it at all.

00:25:33.16 – 00:25:36.14

Maybe they have very little more than a savage inspiration.

00:25:36.32 – 00:25:39.18

And it's up to us that believe in that divine power

00:25:39.18 – 00:25:40.70

to suppress that within the others.

00:25:43.02 – 00:25:45.50

And suppress that, I don't mean with violence, I mean with.

00:25:46.86 – 00:25:49.20

Information and disinformation warfare out there

00:25:49.20 – 00:25:50.70

and do our best to get through to them.

00:25:54.38 – 00:25:56.18

Folks, there are crazies out there everywhere.

00:25:57.46 – 00:25:58.74

Jim, queue up for me, cut one.

00:25:58.84 – 00:26:01.54

This is probably the longest I've gone on a show without a without a clip.

00:26:03.98 – 00:26:07.76

I mean, we've got people pouring across the southern border right now.

00:26:08.32 – 00:26:11.38

Bill Malujan reports on his Twitter account that last year,

00:26:13.32 – 00:26:16.54

269,000 migrant encounters, excuse me, last month.

00:26:18.14 – 00:26:21.80

The single highest month in September, single highest month ever recorded.

00:26:22.90 – 00:26:25.22

269,000 illegals we know about.

00:26:27.16 – 00:26:29.40

Multiple people on the terror watch list,

00:26:29.80 – 00:26:33.20

the Daily Callers reporting Hezbollah and Hamas know the southern border is open.

00:26:34.12 – 00:26:36.90

We finished the year with 2.47 million encounters,

00:26:36.90 – 00:26:38.60

the highest annual total ever.

00:26:39.66 – 00:26:42.60

And you got people in Congress like Ilhan Omar,

00:26:42.88 – 00:26:47.52

who are resolutely committed to stirring up some kind of holy war here in the

00:26:47.52 – 00:26:48.18

United States,

00:26:48.22 – 00:26:52.16

even though that holy war could be here already coming for people precisely like

00:26:52.16 – 00:26:52.38

them.

00:26:54.34 – 00:26:59.02

Now do you see why I wonder if that moral arc of history line is really

00:26:59.02 – 00:27:02.70

accurate? Here, listen to Ilhan Omar when asked a simple question,

00:27:02.76 – 00:27:05.70

listen to her absolutely erupt in rage and anger.

00:27:06.48 – 00:27:10.28

Chiefs have no grasp whatsoever how this whole thing just started or just

00:27:10.28 – 00:27:11.86

pretends it didn't happen. Take a listen.

00:27:13.94 – 00:27:16.18

A question from anyone else.
