Check out the great programs we've done in the past. But we have a great program today, with my friend, Lieutenant Colonel, retired, one each, good all-around guy, and, I think, brilliant strategician. Can I say that? Strategy? Strategery?
Isn't that a good word? It works for me. Daniel Davis, Colonel, Danny Davis from the deep dive, with Danny Davis. Welcome to The Hard Truth. Always glad to be here, Tony.
Thanks for having me. So, as I said last time, you know, we became friends during your odyssey into whistleblowing, which I still appreciate. your honesty, integrity, and courage to have done. that. I think American people owe you.
You know, for people who don't know, you basically saved me there because you got The New York Times to cover this. That's what went public. And without that, I probably would have been crushed by the Army. So I've always been very appreciative of you. Trust me.
But no, look, you're far too kind. I just did what I'd like to believe any good American would have done. I mean, we're fellow officers and we recognize that, but man. Yeah, maybe so, but you're one of the few that could pull it off. They actually got The New York Times to care.
That was what nobody else could do. Well, thank you, Danny. You know, I get a lot of people to pay attention to things, sometimes good, sometimes bad, just saying. So, speaking of good things, we're here. By the way, did you know that we had a whistleblower speaking to whistleblowers?
They leaked us a document, a document. Yes, they leaked it. They dropped this. It was, it was Operation Turgid Thunder. This is a secret operation that they thought would win the debate.
And this is the secret. They were going to give Joe Biden 25 percent more efficient depends. And, by the way, it didn't work. The plot did not work. So there's Joe.
Twenty five more. You know, there he is. There's. there's that turgid look. Isn't that a turgid look?
If there was ever a turgid look, that's the look. Right, Danny? I didn't even know what the word meant, but sure. I'll just I'll take your word for it. Well, good.
You should. So, but here we are. We want to talk about NATO or OTAN, as our French colleagues. This is the horse eating surrender monkeys that they are. No offense, France.
You know, you still do great fries, don't you? Don't look, who doesn't love French fries. Right. So, but I know I'm going to get you in so much trouble. today.
You're going to, you're going to say, I can't believe, I can't tell any show. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Yeah. But let's start with NATO.
So, Danny, was this the most successful ever conference of NATO, the NATO nations, as has been portrayed? Tell us what your thoughts. I think that it's in time. We'll see it to have been the most embarrassing of all, because there was so much glad handing going on, so much backslap and celebration, symphony orchestras, great manufactured video backgrounds for people to make speeches, et cetera. And almost none of it was connected to reality.
And while that works today, because that's just kind of the coin of the realm, at least among many in the West, is what looks good on print and what looks good on paper and video, et cetera. They all congratulated each other's success, but there's almost no reality to it. No, I think that NATO has been exposed as very weak. And we don't have any kind of strategic objective of where we're going, why we even need to exist. And what we're trying to do is build an enemy out of Russia that we don't need to, which could also backfire spectacularly, depending on how things go here at the rest of this war.
So, Danny, why do you love Putin? Just kidding. It's a joke. No, I'm serious. Every time, every time anybody says anything halfway reasonable to include me, I get this all the time.
It's like, no, Putin is a thug. I'm not changing my attitude about Putin. But he's an elected leader of a massive, very important country. Oh, by the way, did you know this? I'm going to throw some stats at you.
And I think you knew this was coming. So it's not a surprise. Did you know? Did you know, Danny, the World Bank, that super conservative organization? No, they're not conservative, are they?
The World Bank has upgraded the Russian economy to high income. High income. Their economy is growing at 11.2 percent faster than Germany's. Does that sound like a country that has been hobbled by massive economic forces of the West? Does this sound like a country that actually has been affected by the sanctions?
Yeah. And that's another one of the examples of why I say NATO is humiliating itself, led by the United States, because President Biden at the beginning said he's going to crush Russia's economy with the most overwhelming, suppressive sanctions regime in the history of mankind. And the only ones that were really hurt was Western Europe, primarily.
Mostly Germany. Germany is now looking at going pre-industrial with their economy because, you know, they cut off the Nord Stream. And, by the way, I think Joe Biden told us he did it. Didn't? I think Joe Biden said he was going to do it?
I think he did it. Just saying. Not that I want to get controversial. And, by the way, I want to touch on something you said a second ago before we get off of it. I don't think it was last time.
It may have been the night before. on Stephen Colbert. He interviewed Adam Kinzinger and they were talking about J.D. Sanders. I'm sorry, J.D.
Vance's selection as vice presidential candidate. And along the lines, he's saying of loving Putin, whatever. He just was almost pounding the desk there. Kinzinger was saying, you know, the only person's people more happy than Milwaukee when they announced him was Moscow, you know, where Vladimir Putin, because he is giving everything to Putin. And that is one of the biggest canards and just horrible mistakes of all these on these pro-war folks.
Because what they are conflating, they think, and he said this at the end of the clip that we actually had on our show yesterday, was that all we have to do is just keep funding them and then they'll win the war. And there is zero truth to that. And so, instead of, here's the perverse part. Now, which is why I wanted to point this out. These people attack you and me and others, John Mearsheimer, et cetera, Doug McGregor of being pro-Putin.
But here's the perverse part. By following their path, they are almost certainly going to hand over more of Ukraine to Putin, instead of what we advocate, which is negotiated settlement at the earliest possible date to end the loss and end the killing. And that's what I think history is going to show. Yeah. So let's take this.
Let's accept that at face value, which I think we would all agree on the facts that you just out presented them. I mean, we're rational people. We're not, we're not progressives. Just saying. Although I love Matt.
Don't be upset, because I'm making fun of you guys. I love you guys. You know, and you look. you look marvelous, darling. Absolutely.
Anyway, come on. We're all friends here. We can make fun. But my point being is that when you examine the facts as they are, why did Jan Stoltenberg get the Presidential Medal of Freedom?
I'm asking for a friend. I mean, seriously, I mean, I'm asking a little bit pointed here, but why do you think he received it? Oh, well, I, and my view is expressly because he did what he was told. He did exactly what Washington asked. And so he wanted to be rewarded.
But again, I'm telling you, history is going to have that to be a humiliating mark on his, on his his reputation for going forward. It's going to be an embarrassment if you're. if the measure was NATO growing and being more prominent and effective and scary. Stoltenberg has lost more territory to Russia than any other leader of NATO. Am I right?
I mean, right, right. Like, how did you miss this? It's like he's failed. If you're, if that's the standard, you keep saying, oh, NATO is stronger, more intimidating. It's like you guys are losing territory.
How is that winning? And so this is Orwellian. This is, you know, winning is losing. And and, you know, don't pay attention to Big Brother. And by the way, we'll talk about that in a bit, because I want to get back to Big Brother, Joe Biden, because I think we need to.
we need to talk about the donkey in the room, I think. Anyway, but back to this topic, NATO. So Joe Biden's speech. Man, oh, man, I had no idea that Zelensky had stepped down and Putin had taken over Ukraine completely. Did you know that, Danny?
I had no idea that Putin was there at the conference either. To me, that's a great outreach there. Right. Who wouldn't want to invite Vlad Putin? And I hear he's a party animal.
Right. I mean, that guy, he puts the Rolling Stones to shame when he goes into a hotel room. Right. I mean, man, oh, man. So let's talk about that opening.
Could there be anything more embarrassing than the leader of the free world misidentifying? We didn't misgender, but, you know, he could have misidentifying Zelensky for Putin. How embarrassing is that? Well, yeah, there could have been worse. He could have.
I mean, this is just hypothetical, but he could have introduced his vice president as Vice President Trump. I mean, I mean, news to say. And, you know, and he did. when you watch the thing in context with the, with the Putin part, he did immediately catch it, or within a second or two. But the point being that that's not.
And if it was, if that's all there was, that happens to people. I've made that mistake periodically where I say one thing. No, no, no. I'm sorry. This name here.
If it happens once in a while, that's fine. But if it becomes a routine thing and then again happened later that same day with Vice President Trump and he didn't catch that one. You see, that's just one data point of a bunch of data points that there is a real problem. Yeah. Well, there was a real problem and there is a real problem.
And I think that's where his speech and I got to hit this because I know you feel the way I do. Did you have you? were you blown away by his foreign policy brilliance? I mean, according to Rachel, Rachel Maddow, man, oh, man, that speech was brilliant. He still got.
grass was like. it was literally word salad. It was a bunch of random national security sounding sentences he threw together to make it sound like he said nothing. As a matter of fact, I challenged those. I went on.
next. I said, can you tell me the three pertinent policy points Biden made to say how he was going to defeat Putin? He didn't. There was nothing there. Nothing.
Yeah. What are we supposed to make of the fact that somehow the left is portraying this as, oh, this is a foreign policy. Brilliant speech. It's literally less than helpful. What do you think?
Listen, I think that that many on the left and, you know, like Matt Ho and several other people, I have plenty of friends on the left. So. So I'm not bashing the left. I'm not. That's just not kind of my MO.
You're not bashing the right. The conscientious left. There's a difference.
But who, however, the one to be defined, the left, I think, is their own worst enemy here. Yeah, because I think that at the absolute latest in the 22 midterms, that's when the Democratic Party should have said, brother, Joe, it's time to move on. Mr. President, you've had your run. You've done.
You can say he's done whatever you want to say. But it's time to move on. While they had plenty of time to have a coherent transition into somebody else to, you know, to run and to head forward, maybe even to resign. Who knows? Now that I would have.
That's a big caveat, because that I don't necessarily want President Harris, even less than I want the diminished President Biden. But here's the thing. By ignoring that and continue to roll out all these people, I'm sure you probably talked about it before, about, oh, Sharpe is attacking all these people, coming out and saying all this stuff. Until the debate, when they suddenly discovered, holy crap, it's worse than we thought. It can't be covered anymore.
They did that to themselves. They should have done it earlier, because it's self-evidently been true for four years, really, not just a few months. And now they're in a bind. I don't know that they have a good option here. And they may have literally just paved the way for Donald Trump to return to the White House.
Well, that and the assassination attempt. But, you know, let's talk about the mistake. I think, even without the assassination attempt, I think that they, they did themselves under that, just, especially that big, iconic picture there. I just it's hard for me to imagine how he doesn't win now. Yeah, no, I'm with you.
But let's go back to Kamala for a second. So, Danny, did you know that the importance of the vice president, because of the importance of being the vice president, is something that we need to recognize, that being the vice president is something notable? And because the vice president is important, we must always recognize the vice president as being important. Did you know that? I have a bad feeling, that that's a quote.
All right. Am I right? Are you not just making that up? Is that really a quote? I'm just channeling.
I'm just. I'm just going off script. Anyway, back on script. The point is, again, and this time, that could have been a quote. She has said stuff like this in the past.
If you go back, you can Google it. But that's my point. So I'm going back a deja vu all over again. So the second time when Trump screwed up big time, I'm not Trump. So, yeah, I do the same thing.
I'm thinking about Trump. Oh, man. I know. But my point is, when Joe was in the speech, he he said come. Vice President Trump.
regarding, you know, I wouldn't pick Vice President Trump referring to Kamala. So, again, and he didn't catch that one, did he? He did not stop and catch that. So what does that do? regarding confidence by our allies?
regarding Joe Biden's Bengay smelling fingers being on the nuclear trigger? Yeah, I can tell you. I mean, very graphically. So, Victor Orban used to be that NATO would just fall in line behind. And I mean, all of NATO would fall in line behind whatever the United States said.
And now you see Victor Orban saying pound sand, dude, I'm off the, I'm off the grid here with you guys. I'm doing what makes sense for my country and even for Europe. And so he's on this independent path. He didn't care what anybody else is saying. Definitely doesn't care what the White House is saying.
And he's doing something that actually has a chance of success if enough people follow him. And you've already seen Slovakia, Bulgaria and Turkey are on his side so far. And I think that that number could grow if things keep deteriorating on the battlefield. Well, let's let's flip that, because, according to Joe Biden, NATO has never been stronger because we have more nations that have joined. And oh, by the way, he talked to Erdogan in Turkey and convinced him, oh, boy, NATO growing is a good idea.
Do you think growing NATO growing is a good idea? Yeah. Let's go back a little bit before these first two, because they want to make it sound like because. And Biden actually said this on one of the interviews. I think it was with Stephanopoulos, or maybe it was one afterwards where he said, you know, Putin wanted the Finland ization of Ukraine.
But instead, he got the NATO ization of Finland and all this stuff like this. And so now it's bigger and it's backfired on him. But has it backfired on him or us? I go back actually to the mighty Montenegrins, why we expanded NATO and that. The only time you should move a NATO or any military alliance bigger is if there is a benefit to you and the others to do it.
There's no benefit to the United States, certainly not to Montenegro, with whether they have like a battalion of combat power or whatever. And that's just added another article to risk to our side. And so that's the same thing here. We've added a lot of strategic risk and gain nothing for the alliance. We're not any stronger than we were before.
We just added more risk. So I think that it's a downside to us, not a benefit. Right. I think the Finnish have the assault midget battalion, that they're really good because they're short. They're hard to shoot because they're lower.
You know, that's a real add to NATO. Just saying. Good job. But let me read you something, Danny. And I hate I'm going to get you in so much trouble with that anyway.
Oh, man. Back to back to my my script here. So I'm going to read some stuff. Stand by. Here we go.
1237 Mongol.
1240 Teutonic tribe, I guess. 1570 the Ottoman Empire. Pretty, pretty bad dudes. Not corn pop, bad, but pretty close to corn pop.
And 1609 Poland, 1610 Sweden.
I guess they brought Swedish meatballs, I would hope. Again, 1708 Sweden, 1812 France. You know that Napoleon dude. Yeah, I see where this list is going. Yeah, you do, don't you?
So see, Sweden, 1853 Ottoman Empire. again. Those Ottomans never give up, do they? But they they are. It's good to put your feet up on Ottomans, right?
They're very comfortable. I have one in my living room. I had no idea that they would invade things. This is, maybe they're like the A.R. or something.
They, they have the secret life where they go, invade countries, or something. Who knows? Anyway, 1804 Japan. and 1914 Germany, 1918 U.S., Japan and our allies. That's a, that's an eye opener.
And then 1941 Germany. What do these things have in common, Danny? That's when Russia was invaded by a foreign power. And they're, they're hypersensitive to that. And nobody in America, before you read that last part of nobody in America, even knows what any of those things meant.
And or, or do they even think that it matters? because it was farther away than like yesterday? If you're a Russian, it's like it was yesterday. That's right. So so why is it that this, this little old lieutenant colonel retired, can figure this out?
And you figured it out. And yet the big brains at the White House, the Blinkens, Austins and Beaker. I mean, Jake Sullivan. Sorry, I didn't mean to direct this. Why is it?
they can't figure this out? And, you know, that's the big issue that the Russians have tried to explain to us a few times. I've heard many in America say, well, how come Putin didn't go crazy? And, you know, nuts when the Baltics joined? and and it is over Ukraine.
Well, because if you look at a map, you can see that the territory in the Baltics are very channelized. And it would be very difficult to launch an invasion there, because if you tried to go in over land that way, you would be hit because it would be easy to attack you. But this area here in the heart of the war, it goes into. And that's that was the path that the Nazis used to come in through wide open history. Like Biden says, study history, study history.
Yeah. Study history, dude. Please. And geography. Yeah.
Yeah. So. So our point, our mutual point, and I hope the audience understands we are in violent agreement on this. There is a history that the Russians are tied to. that they will not, they will not give up.
They will never, never give up. Never give up. Right. And so why is it? then, again, I go back to the question, why is it that the big brains, you know, literally, I mean, I look.
if you look at Jake Sullivan, you could land like a 747 on his forehead, for God's sake. I mean, his. his brain must be larger than the state of Connecticut, for God's sake. You know, why is it? these big brains can't figure this out?
I've heard from somebody who knows Jake Sullivan. Well, it has for many years. He said he's one of the most intelligent people they know. So I can only guess that he's getting instructions from elsewhere to say what he's supposed to. I don't know.
I can only speculate. But it's puzzling to me because of that. But it's indisputable that the Russians have telegraphed this from the end of the Cold War.
The actual agreement that created conditions for Ukraine to be free where they gave up their nukes. I believe that it was a Baker, Secretary, Baker, our secretary of state, who said guaranteed. Well, there wasn't a treaty. We, NATO, will not move further east. I think it's.
I think we move further east, didn't we, Danny? A little bit. Yeah. Yeah. So are we?
are we partly responsible for antagonizing Russia to have them respond like they have? No, no, we're not, because we can do whatever we want and there's never any consequences. I don't know if you got that. Yeah. But yeah, it doesn't matter.
And here's why. We're a defensive alliance. We're a threat to no one. We say that all the time, as we continue to move a military alliance to the border of another nation, that we would never, under any circumstances, permit another major power to come to our borders without it going to war. Yet somehow we expect this nuclear power to do what we never would.
Of course. And the, the, the, the, I don't even know the perverse arrogance of of the neocons. I put this squirrelly at the feet of the neocons because, practically minded. I'm a Reagan guy. And I look, I have no love for the Russians or the Soviets, whatever you want to call them.
With that said, the one thing that Reagan was brilliant with is using, using the potentiality of power, not using power as a tool to foster diplomacy. How is it? we're not? Yeah. Why is it?
we're not doing that now?
Diplomacy is dead in America. The only even, I mean, you, you have the secretary of state being almost one of the most belligerent people that there are, even more than the secretary of defense, which is misnamed because it's more like the secretary of offense. But the fact is that we don't even do diplomacy in. many in Washington. Love it that way.
The only thing that they use diplomacy for so-called is to say, if we'll talk to you and if you do what we tell you, everything's fine. There's no problem. But if you don't, then it's back to the barrel of the gun. So that's not diplomacy. That's trying to tell people what to do.
And that never, never works. And it's on graphic display. how failure of a policy it is right now. So, is our foreign policy more like like the Godfather than a practical, kind of event driven concept of civility? I mean, are we the mafia?
Well, honestly, Tony, I tell you, I don't think so, because this is another one of those perverse things you're talking about. That's at least has a plan and an objective that they're trying to accomplish, even if it's a nefarious one. We don't have one. I mean, I think really George Bush, I got to say, he probably started the ball rolling downhill in a bad direction after 9-11, to where he got the whole cowboy mentality. And you're either with us or against us, and to hell with anybody who doesn't do what we want.
Now, then, we don't even think of any other way, R or D, except for power. What can we accomplish with power? And we don't even think about it. When, when a diplomatic, well, we have to give a little to get a little. That no longer exists in our, in our vocabulary.
Now, it's only, we're going to take what we want. You will give it or you will find the end of our rifle. And that is predictably creating enemies all over the world that we should never have created, that don't want to be our enemies. But our policies are making it so. So, yeah, we're going to take a break here.
We're halfway through the show, but I'm going to end it in the first half on that. So I've noticed that, speaking of people with big heads and little minds, let's let's talk about Joe Biden. So, Joe Biden, regarding the overall direction of things, Danny, has compared himself to FDR. And also LBJ. So do you believe that stating that makes it so?
Well, he said on the Stephanopoulos interview, look, I'm not just running for president. I'm running the world, you know, and I was like, I you did not just say that out loud. I took it off and he said it again in a subsequent interview that we are running the world. And I think he does believe it. And that's the scary part.
If you are just saying it at a rhetorical thing, to try to get some purpose, that's one thing. But if you actually believe that, that's frightening. It is frightening. And we'll be back for more frightening another part of our show, which is very frightening. Right after this break.

Same here. Same here. A lot of coffee.
I'm out of coffee, so we're really slow. Oh, no. Anyway, back to Danny. Danny, so at the first part of the show we went through, I think, a very clear review from a practical perspective, the NATO summit and kind of the end result of that, which, basically, to summarize what we think of the NATO summit, it's kind of like the contents of Joe Biden's depends after a two-hour speech, right? I mean, it's kind of like that.
It's not the same. Did you know, by the way, that he forgot corn pop in his speech at the NAACP? At the time? we're taping this, this happens the day after he was at. So instead of having corn pop, he's got corn poop in his diaper.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. I know you get these things, but it is what it is. Right? Right, Chris? I mean, you got to go with what you got to go.
And if you got to go, you got to go. Right? Corn pop, carrot top, whatever you got. And then, of course, as you pointed out before, the extra depends.
Twenty-five. Yeah, 25%. It didn't work. Just saying. I can smell you coming.
Yeah. It makes you think twice when you go to a certain chain restaurant and ask for the chocolate thundered down under. Oh, God. Oh. Oh, my.
Especially if you're a friend. We're going to make it. Danny's never going to want to come back on the show. now, Chris. He's going to be like, oh, my God, those guys?
No way. Okay. All right. But Danny, back to that. We were talking about LBFDR, LBJ, FJB, XYZ, OMG.
What the hell's going on with Biden? M-O-U-S-C. I mean, the truth is he's just in cognitive decline. It's not anything a ding on him personally. It happens to people.
And the only ding comes in when you won't acknowledge it. Exactly. I think that the reason why he's been so adamant that he hangs on to the campaign, he wants to continue going, I think, is just because of his personal arrogance and pride that, no, I'm the only one that can beat Trump. Nobody else can do it. But at some point, you know, the other people in the party are going to have to stand up because, like we said in the first half of the show, you're potentially going to bring down everybody with you, because this has ramifications down ballot as well.
Oh, yeah. At some point, the Democrats are going to say, hey, we love you, Joe, but we're not all going down with you. And I think that you're going to see a change coming before November 5th, I bet. So we can all agree that the attempted assassination of Trump would have solved a lot of issues. First off, it would have put the Republicans in the chaos, right?
I mean, if Trump had passed, J.
D. Vance had not been named as the heir apparent. So that would have been not done. This would have then pushed the whole country into a state of mourning, because half the country would be pissed. And then, obviously, the left would anticipate the conservative side getting upset and maybe even acting out.
So this justifies.
. And Tony, look, let me throw in, let me throw one more into that one. Yeah. I think that there would have been a huge risk that many of the MAGA folks especially would have, even without facts, would have just assumed that this was the Biden campaign, knocking it off. They said, well, it didn't work.
You didn't take him out with the law. You couldn't beat him any other way. So you took him out here. And they would just emotionally believe that, no matter what the evidence showed. And I think you'd have had a real, real problem with some violence.
And this would have helped secure Joe Biden, at least for a while, because it would be, oh, I've got it, now. I've got to be the healer in chief. So I think that's what would happen. So the fact that this didn't happen now literally puts them back on their heels. Because at this point, to your point, if Trump survives, which, you know, I look, I'm not hiding.
I'm on Team Trump. I talked to the man two weeks ago. I, you know, I'm hoping that he'll take some suggestions I'm going to make to him soon. I'm just saying that if you look at the potential of the down ballot losses, we're talking about the loss of both the House and Senate. Do you think I'll let the other team jump in after this, but it's my last question.
Do you think they're going to allow Biden to be on the ballot in November? I personally don't. I mean, it's a toss up, because I don't think they should. from their own perspective. I don't think they should.
But at some point, it's self-preservation kicks in and they may force it. And I think that the indicator of that will be if you see more and more, especially on CNN, MSNBC, ABC News, maybe even CBS, if they start saying a lot more, put more Democratic people on saying that he needs to step aside, that might be an indication. But look, one of the other things that fall out from the failed assassination attempt is it has taken a huge piece of the whole core message for the Democratic side that Donald Trump represents a danger to democracy and must be stopped no matter what, because that's been identified as potentially having motivated this shooter. And so now, then, even the public, they're going to have to have a different message, but I don't know what else they're going to use. that's going to resonate.
So that's also damaged their marketing plans. Yeah. All right. Over to you guys. Yeah, that's a good point.
You know, I was listening to Bill O'Reilly recently, and we listen to him almost every night, and he made a good point. A lot of the Democrats are, you know, the ones who aren't extremely left. Like you said, they're realizing Biden is not our guy. We need to get him out. But Bill O'Reilly pointed out that they can't force him out.
They could try to, like, shame him publicly. They could try to persuade him. But I think the only person who could really convince Biden to drop out is his wife. Yeah, definitely. Because nobody else can really make him.
I think you can't publicly shame or humiliate Biden because he's beyond that point. mentally. I think he doesn't even have the capacity to be embarrassed. Like when he fell off the bike, was he embarrassed? No.
My gosh, when he calls the Vice President Trump instead of Harris, he's not embarrassed. They can't shame him out, but what they can do is that they can withhold cash. And if these big bundlers say, yeah, you either leave or I'm keeping all my money, now, then you're going to get some people that might be willing to do something different. That would make sense. But I'm still concerned that not enough Democrats will actually do that.
Yeah, I think some will, but I'm afraid there won't be enough. Well, why should there be? Why should there be? Think about it this way, okay? The next in line is Kamala Harris.
The Democrats would rather be associated with bringing in somebody they consider an elder statesman, escorting him to a loss, than bringing in Kamala Harris, humiliating themselves, and going to another loss. And believe me, Hillary Clinton set women back in politics, or at least as far as running for president or anything else like that, or a high office, 10 years. Kamala Harris will set them back another 10, 15 years. A female Democrat will never get elected, because the first things they'll think of, no matter who they bring up to run for president or vice president, are going to be Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. And Kamala Harris, yeah.
So the idea is take the loss. This should be their strategy. Take the loss, run with Biden at this point, and then call Trump a racist, advance, a racist for four years, and try to pull off some riots and St. Floyd things and here and there, and then say, see, we'll bring you back to normalcy in 2028, and idiots will fall for it. That was their strategy in 2020..
I think Biden is going to end up being on the ballot.
Because you look at the amount of time from now until November 5th, I think they just don't have enough time to try to force him off. I don't think it's going to happen. But Danny, to that point, so between now and November,
you mentioned, we mentioned the Kamala, Mala, Mala, Mala, Ding Dong. I guess I can say that. So what do you think would be, what do you think would happen if next week, after all the stuff with Trump kind of washes away a little bit,
the announcement comes, Joe's stepping down. Joe's going to go, Joe's going to go and spend more time in Delaware.
looking for young women to shower with. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just, you know, I'm not one. You know, I think there's a couple of things that could do. That could actually, from the Democratic side, break the glass ceiling, because now you have a woman president, a woman of color and all that kind of thing.
So they can say that now. then that has been shattered. And now then, you know, she's going to be the commander in chief. And God help us all if that happens. That's a whole separate issue.
We could probably go down a whole show on that one. But that that is a possibility of something that they could want to accomplish. But then I think I think Chris is right. Or at least it's plausible. I've heard that from somebody else that it could be that after the failed assassination attempt that the Democratic leadership said, well, boys, we get this.
This ain't going to happen. There's nothing we can do. No money we can spend. Yeah. So let's don't do any.
Let's just let Joe ride it out. Let him lose. And then everybody can say, well, it was because of him and he wouldn't step down, whatever. And then we can start looking to 28.. I think there's a very valuable possibility.
So you think they're basically put the whole the wreckage of his whole administration on him? It's what you're saying. It's like, oh, they'll let it. They'll anchor. They'll anchor that sinking ship to him and it'll take him down with it.
But not the party. Yeah. Well, I think that's the issue. The party. Yeah.
Well, they have to do it that way anyway. And the other, the other thing they could do, is lose the election. Then have Biden gracefully resign, giving Kamala Harris the reins for two months. And the Democrats can brag to everybody that they they actually brought forth the first female president. Right.
But let me ask you, though, because there's another possible problem to that, which we talked about a second ago. in that scenario. What happens down ballot? Because they can sacrifice Joe Biden, but they sure don't want to sacrifice the House or the Senate. Well, that's the issue.
That's all they've got left, Danny. That's the issue. It's like, can I think Biden is toast and not the good kind, with with jam and jelly. I'm just saying, it's not the good kind of toast. It's the bad kind of toast.
Right. Right. Chris, it's not. It's the burnt toast that nobody wants. It's burnt.
I like burnt toast. But this is their toast. This is toast with avocado. Nobody wants toast with. All right.
This is burnt toast with avocado. I'll give you that anyway. But it's burnt and it's bad. He's toast. He's done.
No matter how you cut this, so to speak, you've got to find a solution. So the only solution I see here, Danny, again, just going back to your point is either they, they ride. Remember, you studied the German, the German blitz. What was it? Could they call it the death ride?
You know, it's like we're all right. And our death. Yeah. Well, he's on that ride. And he's, you know, that's, that's where they're going.
Or because, or they're going to take the chance and slide it over to Kamala, because Kamala, at least if they give it to her, they can, I think, re insinuate some level of a perception, a perception that someone's in charge. Because right now, even Kamala, not Kamala, Pierre, Jean-Luc Picard, Pierre, what's her name, Chris? I always get it wrong. Oh, great. Great.
She's hysterical. I mean, historical. Yeah. Please. For any adult Star Trek, Next Generation folks, don't write me and be upset.
I mean, Jean-Luc Picard, you know, he's not. He would make a better press secretary than her. Yeah. I mean, they have similar names, but they're not the same. He's the same.
Well, you know, but anyway, but my point, Danny, is that that that if they slide it over to Kamala, at least they can reestablish the veneer of someone being in charge. Do you think that would help them or not? I mean, I wouldn't help anything because it would be too late at that point. But it could minimize the damage going forward. And, and look, at some point, there really does have to be some consideration of, because what we're assuming is that he can go on with his status quo.
But I don't know that that's. that's the case. He may not be able to go on with the status quo. It may actually continue to degenerate. And then they may be forced with either doing that or having the ignominy of a 25th Amendment be applied.
Well, you got to go. But one last thing I want to throw your way before you go is the the Lester Holt interview with him. He was testy. He was, he lied. I'm just going to say he lied several times.
And and yet, you know, he's like, come on, man. Why are you asking me hard questions? Do you think that's going to be, that's going to be acceptable, even to the left going forward, to have him attack? I mean, compared to the Stephanopoulos interview, from the Democratic perspective, the Lester Holt was less damaging. And in that regard, it's like, OK, well, we can live with that.
I think you're going to see it continue to be limited. They'll only do it when they absolutely have to. But I just can't get away from this degenerative nature of what he's suffering. And you just can't hide it much longer. Yeah.
Yeah. Dementia does not get better. It just it's called cognitive decline for a reason. But they didn't bother bringing somebody up from the minors to take over. Yeah.
Yeah. That's what I said. 2022 was the chance that the Democratic Party had to do it right. And they, they punted. They fumbled, actually.
They fumbled. Yeah. Well, speaking of punting, I know, Danny, you got to go. We'd like to have you back. And, by the way, check out.
Check out, please. And I'm completely like I watch it. I'm a fan. I'm not saying this because Danny's my friend, but I'm a fan of his deep dive and the stuff he did, the long form stuff he did on NATO, the stuff today. We just scratched the surface.
Right, Danny. You did a deep, deep dive. You've laid it all out brilliantly. You know, certain friends in Europe love your stuff, too. I love them.
Shout out to Alex and Alexander. Great guys. We appreciate their staying on top of things. But, Danny, we'd like to have you come back. I don't know, probably closer to the election, and give us your evaluation.
I'd be happy to. And everything's going on. Thank you. Thank you, Chris. See you, Elizabeth.
Yes. See you. Thank you. There you go. That was great.
So I love Danny. He's a good guy. And I'm serious. Go out and check out Deep Dive with Danny Davis. He does a great, just common sense.
Let's figure out what's going on and talk about it and what solutions would be. So that's it. But speaking of solutions, Chris, I guess it's a certain time for a certain show, right? It is time for Tony's Takes. That's right.
Tony's Takes is powered by Sig Sauer, Never Settle. Never Settle. That's right. There you go. Speaking of settling, though, speaking of settling, we'll go to DEI, because that's definitely the definition of settling, the opposite of Sig Sauer.
So anyway, Microsoft has reportedly let off its DEI team, saying it's no longer necessary on a business level. The fire department head had a hissy fit in an email and was apparently exposed or whatever. But here's the question, Tony. Will there be more backlash or will more businesses follow suit? First, let's make no mistake.
These companies will still hire as PC as possible, but how much can one sacrifice quality for quotas? Well, I mean, obviously, Chris, quality is overrated. I mean, let's be honest here. I mean, that's why I hired you. You're, you know, like, it's like, hey, Chris, you know, you're a white guy and you may be competent, maybe not.
But, you know. But you're Italian. I am. You're Italian, so. We also need a German-Irish-African.
That's me. That's right. We're all DEI. I'm half-orange, by the way. You're half-what?
My DEI is orange. We're all E-I-E-I-O, right? And, of course, Tony, you're a diversity hire here, too, because, as you know, as we all know, you're a Druid, which is a religious community. I'm a Druid. See, I'm a true diverse.
Yes. Yeah. I mean, I'm sorry that I have to bring up my enjoyment of naked girls dancing around fires. I don't know why that's an issue, but it is, you know. So, who wouldn't want that?
Just saying. And, by the way, if you want to spice up a convention, bring the Druids in. You know, I think it'd be a great change. But back to the issue of DEI. Yeah.
So, the thing about DEI, Elizabeth, and this is, you know, you and I work together. You know, we were in the Army together. If we were under DEI rules, we could be fat, overweight, and stupid and still be in the Army. That's right. But, see, the rules are different now.
Exactly. So, we couldn't be fat. We couldn't be stupid. We couldn't be overweight. So, you know, it would give us a whole new perspective of potentiality, right?
Absolutely. And working in public affairs and just interviewing so many different people, I am so glad I got out of the Army when I did. Because if I was in right now, it would just drive me nuts. Yeah. I'm glad I got out when I did.
Chris, facts are overrated. Geometry is overrated. Yeah. Why worry about geometry when, you know, the Secret Service can't figure it out? Why worry about it?
Because math is racist. Don't you know that? by now? Math is racist? Math is racist.
I forgot. It's as racist as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. That's right. Oh, no. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are racist because some cultures don't have….
Yes. There were schools that discussed this because some cultures don't use peanut butter and jelly. And there are so many kids…. I don't know where this happened, but out of the blue, too many kids are allergic to peanuts. And that's such kind of….
That's something to check out, but nobody's going to bother doing that. Yeah, it is. A hundred years ago, I don't think any kids were allergic to peanuts, and all of a sudden they are. Why? I want to point this out.
I want to point this out to you. as far as DEI is concerned, though. These DEI departments were brought about during the…. Or around the St. Floyd times, or in response to Trump becoming president, because it was all, you know, the Republicans are horrible, racist.
Thanks to Trump, all this other garbage. Fact is, these things are expensive. You're talking about DEI executives being paid six figures. And I mean, pretty good six figures as well. At businesses, in colleges, raising tuition, that sort of thing.
These are useless appendages at colleges and everything else. They should be cut off. This is also what's causing inflation and things like that, too. These expensive appendages…. That's a good point.
People getting paid to do absolutely nothing. Right. I'm telling you how to think. Are you saying that there should be a circumcision of colleges regarding their useless content? I'm just asking.
Absolutely. Okay. That's good. They're training…. That's a good word.
Yeah. I think so. This DEI industry has to be cut off. It's expensive. And it's the taxpayer that's paying for it.
And the college student that's paying for it. Yes. Everything is gone. Goodbye. That's right.
As John Wayne Bobbitt would say. Let it bleed if it needs to bleed. Am I to understand you're not a fan of Kamala Harris? I have not been a fan of Kamala Harris ever. I pray for her every day.
I'm not a big fan of her. Someone needs to. I do like the idea that she's around because it shows everybody else how the Democrats choose to hire people to run the country. Kamala Harris should be around for a symbol of that. If somebody competent was there, we'd be under the illusion that there was somebody competent doing something right.
So that's my next question, before we go to the next Tony's take, if we have a moment. So do you think she will debate Shady Vance? Oh, she will.
And here's why. Because she wants to get on television and make her little comments like, excuse me, I'm talking. She's going to try that strategy. Like, I'm a woman. You have to pay attention to me.
She'll never. She will. She would love the spotlight because she doesn't get it as vice president. She would love it. I don't care.
She'll lose. She'll love it and give herself a victory. She'll give herself something. Just like last time. She gave herself a victory last time.
Yeah. So she couldn't outdebate. Pence. Now, come on. All right.
Quick, quick one. We have about a minute or two left. Ready? All right. Here you go.
All right. Joe Biden, sore, he can't pack. the court, says he's going to back an effort to force term limits on Supreme Court justices. How about Congress members? That'll be much better.
But what are your thoughts, guys? Well, I think the whole issue is he wants to take and turn the Supreme Court into the largest Baskin Robbins franchise on the planet, because it's within kind of short distance, walking distance. So he wants to have 31 flavors and no justices. I think that's the goal. What do you think?
I would say that he is really trying to appease the far left to get that base out there, at the very least to avoid the downvote issues you're going to have with people staying home. Yeah. Because, well, they've been taking the loss on this one, but they have to understand there's still a down ballot issue where there are going to be state elections at stake. They're going to be congressional elections. You don't want to lose valuable seats, or at least seats you can take and keep, or those that are kind of scratchy in the middle.
You want to make sure you mobilize the left and say, hey, if Trump and his people stay in charge, they're going to make the Supreme Court even more conservative, because technically, you might be replacing two justices in the next four years. Oh, I think it's likely. I think, and they know it. They know that if Trump is back in, he's going to have, instead of 31 flavors, he's going to have two more flavors of justices. Right.
I mean, he's going to. he's going to do, you know, more irreversible damage, their view, not ours. I think, you know, going by the law and constitution, that's kind of useful, but I don't think the left sees it that way. So I don't know. No, it does not.
And the other thing is, if they're going to talk about term limits, why don't we go to Congress and the Senate at this point? That's where they belong. That's a good point. Yeah. But justices traditionally are appointed for life or until they want to retire.
And I believe that's the way it should stay at this point. Then you don't have a constant interchanging of Supreme Court justices. They kind of have to form a bond in there somewhere along the line. Yeah, I guess they could. But at this point, the only bond that Joe Biden is interested in is one between he and Hunter and maybe Ashley, because, you know, that bond between the father and the daughter.
Not, there's anything wrong with that. I mean, we all have days that, you know, we don't know what the hell we're doing. And maybe let me ask you that question. Do you think he just wandered into Ashley's room in the shower once to, just like he, got lost? Is that what happened?
I don't know. I think he was trying to reenact the movie Psycho.
Oh, yeah.
On that note. Yeah, we got to get. we got to. Oh, you're being, you're being paged by our overlord, master, Chris. Look at your chat.
Anyway, we got to go because we got work to do. I mean, it's like Chris is like, is like Alfred the butler. He's always in demand. You know, he's always trying to fix the thing. Right.
Yeah. I'm the. I'm the cool Alfred. Cool. You're like the Michael Caine, Alfred.
He used to be an S.
A.
S. guy. I like the. I like the Alfred from the old show from the 60s. He knew how to handle criminals.
He was, he actually had Joker screaming. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. That's the Alfred.
I am. Well, good. Yep. Well, anyway, Batman is calling you, Alfred, on the text. So we got to go.
This has been another great action packed episode of The Hard Truth. And we again thank Danny Davis from the heart, from his deep dive. Go over and take a deep dive with Danny. You'll enjoy the water. Right.
Jump in. The water's fine. And we'll be back next week with another great episode with Elizabeth and Chris. Until then. Yeah.
Cannonball. Well, not not. Yeah. You know, let's not give Joe Biden any ideas to go after Donald Trump.
Cannonball. So. So, anyway, till next week. We'll see you again soon. Bye, bye.
