America Out Loud is the premier news network with a diverse array of talk shows that inform and inspire. A daily resource for smart people.
Born in the grip of oppression, I fought for my liberty.
I paid with the blood of my people.
Freedom has never been free. Now, my door's always open to dreamers and friends. But when I'm attacked, I protect and defend,
because my name is America. Hello, everyone, and welcome. This is Karen Schoen, and you're listening to The Prism of America's Education, brought to you on the America Out Loud dot news network with my wonderful sponsor, the Florida Citizens Alliance. Folks, if you are not involved in what the alliance is doing, please go to the website and get involved with our kids. Whether you're mentoring them at home, no matter what you're doing, they need to learn to read and write and do math.
If they can't do that, they are at such a deficit. It is so shameful. I read an interesting article the other day from Mississippi, how they went from 49th in the country to 21st in the country just by making a simple change in their school. And this article you can find in the Epoch Times. And what was that simple change?
They taught their kids phonics. How many years have I been saying that? Whole word reading is a failure, and it has been a failure since inception, and therefore it's still a failure. And throwing more and more money at the problem is not going to help anything. Phonics is the answer.
And once your kids can read, you will find a world of difference in them, because they will be able to pick up something that they are interested in and get involved. And when they get involved in something they're interested in, they're not getting in trouble. And that's really what education is all about, because they will be making much better life. choices. And speaking of choices, I happened to hear an interview this past week on War Room with Dave Brat, who is fabulous.
He used to be a senator, I mean a representative. And if you remember, those of you that were around at that time, he helped us get rid of Eric Cantor, the globalist who was destroying the House of Representatives. And Dave Brat had on the show Mike Benz. And Mike Benz used to be the former State Department head of the Cyber Portfolio. So he did a lot of investigations into the agencies.
And if you remember, Obama, his parting gift, when he left office, he merged the interaction of the variety of intelligence agencies and said that they needed to interact with the State Department and DHS and then come up with a plan. And what was that plan? That plan was to censor anybody who disagreed with them. Well, all of these agencies are supposed to be focused outward. They're supposed to be focused on America's enemies.
But with the right wording and the right verbiage, they were able to deem that America's enemies are the MAGA people, the people who want to put America first, the people who believe in America. And how did they accomplish this? They accomplished it by putting in place the idea that elections were part of critical infrastructure. And therefore, they had the right to manage the critical infrastructure. And by doing that, they came up with the idea that they could work with the media and censor anybody who talked in a derogatory manner against what they were promoting as far as elections.
So if you remember, all of these people, who are either in jail or had some kind of punishment, or are still in a court situation for talking against the election and showing actual fraud, well, these were mostly kicked out of court. And what did they say? They didn't have the proper judicial ability to do that because it didn't affect them. Well, of course it affected us. It affected every single one of us.
And all of these judges threw their cases out, not because there was validity to the case, but because they claimed that they didn't have the right to be able to make these cases. And that, of course, gave the left the opportunity to say, look, there was no shenanigans. There was nothing going on. It was a perfectly clear, clean election. And I'm talking about 2020..
This is how all of this started. Well, this was only the beginning, because yesterday,
actually, I think it was in the beginning of the week, not yesterday,
O'Biden, and I will call him O'Biden forever, because now we know Obama is really running the show. But the O'Biden office, because I don't believe that he could do this, I don't believe his smarts are there to be able to draft this, drafted an executive order. And this executive order gave presidential authority, presidential powers, to the Secretary of State, who is Anthony Blinken, and the Treasury Secretary, who is Janet Yellen. Now, if you remember, Janet Yellen played a big role in destroying the American economy and is continuing to do that. And so far, she is also anti-Israel.
She has made multiple statements stating that Israel cannot really do anything to harm Palestine, especially if it comes to the Palestinian banks. They have no authority over the Palestinian banks. They can't censor the banks. They can't take the money. And I'm scratching my head as this same crowd just went and took Russia's money.
So it's okay for America and the West to steal Russia's money, but it's not okay for Israel to put a hold on the Palestinian money. How does that work? Thank you, Janet Yellen. And, of course, Anthony Blinken, who is our Secretary of State, who believes that and has said on multiple occasions how Israel is at fault for blowing up Gaza and harming innocent civilians. Well, of course, this is a war, and these are the people that brought Hamas into Gaza and allowed Hamas to destroy what was left of Gaza and to utilize their money, instead of funding the people of Gaza, to build weapons and ways to get into Israel.
So what has Obama done? And now, to add insult to injury, the presumptive nominee, Kamala Harris, is refusing to go to the meeting on Wednesday. She refused to go to the meeting on Wednesday where Bibi Netanyahu has addressed a joint session of Congress. So this administration, and for all of the Jews out there who are still Democrats, I can't understand it, and I got a big question mark for you guys. I don't understand how you can continue to do this.
This is a travesty. These people hate us. They hate America. And if you're Jewish, it's a double whammy. So I have asked David Kristol, who just came back from Israel, by the way, to share with us some of his findings there and what he thinks is going on in Gaza.
So, David, thank you so much for joining me today. And what do you think about what's going on with our country? We are all of a sudden becoming anti-Israel by saying how much we love Israel. How does that work?
Well, first, Karen, thanks for having me again. It's good to be back, and I look forward to many such conversations with you over the years. You know, it's funny. As you're speaking, I'm sure I and your viewers are thinking the term deep state on many levels in regards to many points you raised. And one of the most fascinating things I discover, I've been to Israel maybe nine or ten times, but this was not just because it was post-October 7th, but for many reasons, personal and otherwise, probably the most profound and meaningful trip I've had to Israel.
And I learned probably more on this trip than any five trips combined. And one of the most profound insights I've walked away with is that, unlike in America, where any mention, at least mentioned in the mainstream media, of a quote-unquote deep state will render you considered either QAnon or a conspiracy theorist, in Israel it's actually very common, not just on the right, but both on the center and left of center, to talk about a deep state and to understand almost common, sensibly and factually, that there is a deep state. In Israel, it's disproportionately on the part of the Supreme Court, which is why that contentious issue was subject to so many protests on both sides prior to October 7th. That, of course, has calmed down in the wake of national unity given the war following October 7th. But there is a much more entrenched deep state in Israel than there is here.
We don't seem to know about that. And I didn't frankly realize that until my most recent trip. But these phenomena in terms of bureaucrats and judges and people who are unelected, usurping power from people who should be elected or are elected or would have been elected had elections not been stolen, this is not a strictly American phenomenon.
Wow. I never thought of that. You don't, you really, we are so insulated that we really don't have very much knowledge of the governments overseas. We talk about them, but I mean to think that the same thing is going on over there. that's going on here is a foreign idea.
Now, my thought, after you saying that, is how much is America involved in the Israeli government deep state? Is it the same people?
Again, I'm not the authority, insofar as there could possibly be an authority, because we're dealing with clandestine issues and organizations and connections, of course. But I don't think you need more than a little bit of intuition to realize that the American Israel deep state connection is strictly a left-wing connection. There's no right-wing deep state controlling or influencing a right-wing deep state in Israel. You could argue deep states in general are left-wing because deep state type people don't believe in God. They want to be God or they think they're God already, and people who believe in God tend to be right-wing.
So on a philosophical level, you could state that. But clearly the main structural issue in terms of problematic democracy in Israel has always been its Supreme Court. That's an issue a lot of Americans, you know, obviously they're not Jewish. Why might they not care? But even a lot of Jewish Americans haven't fully wrapped their head around, which is really a central issue.
or was the central issue before the attacks on October 7th. And that is in Israel. you have a left-wing dominated Supreme Court whereby their members, their justices, have very long tenures, just like ours do.
who are anti right-wing in every sense of the term. There are a few right-wingers, but the majority are anti right-wing in every sense of the term. They're entrenched and they're very much connected with academia and the media. And collectively, the Israel Supreme Court has powers akin to if you were to combine our Supreme Court with the Senate. So they could willy-nilly override many votes on the part of Knesset, on the part of elected officials in the Knesset, on the grounds that whatever such public policy passed by the Knesset is quote-unquote unreasonable.
I think we might have touched upon this in our last conversation. So something as subjective as quote-unquote unreasonable can undo democracy. You could consider everything passed by the Knesset if you want unreasonable, right? So once the October 7th war ends, God willing, in Israel's favor, this issue is going to be revisited and Israel's democracy is going to have to be reformed, hopefully with some sort of basic law or constitution, which it doesn't really have. that greatly limits the power of the Supreme Court.
So right now, this is also a group of unelected people.
Correct.
Okay, they are appointed.
They're appointed, correct.
Okay, so it's kind of like our Supreme Court, but from what you're saying, they have more power.
Much more power, yeah.
Okay, so this is definitely not a good thing. David, what did you see when you were over in Israel? Because I know you were near the border of Gaza. What did you see there? And also, I don't know how many people understand that Israel was very open society and there are many Arabs that live in Israel and they don't suffer the same kind of governments that they would if they were in Palestine, do they?
Well, firstly, as I cautioned you before, we as a collective society not just Jewish society but Western society in general need to cease and desist from the arbitrarily erroneous term Palestine. There's a British mandate of Palestine that ended in 1948.. There is no Palestine and there cannot legally be a Palestine until such time as the State of Israel and the Palestinian Authority agrees on what they call final status determinations and the final border of what could be called Palestine or could be something else, or could be one state in Gaza and one state in Judea and Samaria. So this is part of the strategy, the rhetorical political strategy of the left or the anti-Semites in general, to pretend there's a Palestine and random people called Jews came in out of nowhere and occupied the land of the quote-unquote indigenous Palestinians who are not Palestinians and who are not indigenous. Those who are genetically Jewish are indigenous to the land between the river and the sea.
So we could only reclaim our moral and political rights once we reclaim our historical rights, and we have to reclaim the language to do so. So one thing I caution everybody to do is to refer to the Arabs in Judea and Samaria as Arabs in Judea and Samaria. The Gazan Arabs as Gazan Arabs and the Israeli Arabs, Israeli citizens who are Arab ethnically as Israeli Arabs. Now, in terms of your statement, yes, there are approximately 2 million Israeli Arabs or Arab citizens of Israel, most of them Muslim, but a significant percentage of them are Christian, and those who are Christian tend to be loyal, some of whom, like Yosef Hadad, are deeply loyal to the State of Israel and do serve in the IDF. The vast majority of Muslim Arab citizens of Israel do not and have not served in the IDF, and the reason that's a newly contentious issue, Karen, as you may be aware, is that Israel just began drafting Haredim, highly Orthodox, quasi-Hasidic or Hasidic Jews, who typically never served in the IDF.
Now, they're not drafting a significant percentage, but a significant enough percentage to cause a lot of consternation in that community, and that raises the question, well, why are you not drafting the Muslim Arab Israeli citizens into the IDF, at least create their own unit? So that's going to be another contentious issue that's going to come to the fore, if not soon, at least after this war is over, again, God willing, with Israeli victory. So there are a lot of issues, one compounding the other, in Israel. In terms of anything specific that I noticed in my tour of the Gaza envelope, nothing you can't really see watching Trey Yinks and Fox News, but it is, you know, remarkable to be on the border of a war zone and see bombs go off and black smoke and things of that nature. I can only say that the resilience of the Jews in the Gaza envelope, in terms of people I met, whether it's at the bakery shop or on the street, is remarkable.
Most humans, under the same circumstances, would have probably vacated Sderot and other such towns a long time ago. But, you know, the Jews refer to themselves, or at least the Jews are proud to be Jewish, refer to themselves as Amanetzach, the eternal race, eternal nation. And the Amanetzach attitude in Sderot, in particular, is really remarkable. I mean, these people are here to stay. They don't care how many times they have to run into bomb shelters.
I mean, they, you know, God willing, won't have to after this war, but they have the attitude. They'll run, they and their children, I mean, imagine children having to live their lives running into bomb shelters on a regular basis. They're willing to do that ad infinitum, if necessary, to lay claim to that land, to lay claim to their homes, to send a message to the Arabs, to the world, we're not leaving, no matter how many rockets you fire at us. And that attitude of resilience is something that profoundly impacted me.
Now, the left, of course, is doing their best to make Netanyahu like Trump. And I don't mean the, you know, he has obviously different ideas, but make him as the enemy. Where does he fit in all of this? What is his feeling? He's going to be addressing, or he has addressed our Congress, and I think we are doing a terrible job of supporting Israel.
And most people think they need more money. They don't need money. They need our support. When we tell them we're going to send them weapons, we need to do and follow up. But where does he fit in all of this?
Because we hear that it's a conflicted government, and he has to make two governments, because I know the government in Israel is not a two-party system. They have many parties, so they have to all come together. Are the people behind Netanyahu, or are they in opposition to him?
That's a very profoundly good and loaded question. Let me start with the low-hanging fruit. Of course, we need to send Israel whatever weapons she needs to defend herself. And this Democrat administration is the only one I could think of, and I'm including Clinton and even Carter, that would go out of its way to cut off weapons above a certain military grade systematically to Israel, the way they've cut off 1,000, 2,000-pound bombs almost pervasively and systematically over the last few months. So the Biden-Harris administration should be ashamed on that front.
Israel, frankly, does still need money. One of the strategies of the Arab anti-Semites is a war of attrition, whereby you drain Israel politically, socially, personally, economically, not just militarily, and hope that collective pressure causes Israel to not defend Israel anymore. That's not going to work, but it's painful in the interim. Certainly, once Trump gets re-elected, Trump will, no doubt, even under the worst of circumstances, no matter what Trump's relationship to Netanyahu or anyone else is at the time, Trump will be a much better president for Israel, and the necessary bombs will flow again to Israel, and Israel will finally be in a position to finish this war, unless, by some miracle, they finish it of their own volition before Trump takes power. In terms of Netanyahu, that's a very loaded question.
I personally speak to you as someone who's definitely right-wing in American politics, and definitely right-wing in the context of Israeli politics, but is relatively anti-Netanyahu. I used to be his biggest fan. I think I mentioned this in our last conversation, but Netanyahu is the best foreign minister Israel has ever had. He's one of the worst prime ministers, and he's one of the worst prime ministers because he lacks military strategy, and he frankly lacks the cojones to do the big things that needed to be done a long time ago, including bombing Iran, and now it's likely too late, unless there's something I don't know, to bomb Iran, because Iran is literally days away from a functional nuclear device. Not to mention, you can always buy a functioning nuclear device from North Korea, but that's another issue.
So all the notion of we have to bomb Iran, all the screaming and shouting for 12 years now, well, how did that materialize in actual actions on the ground? It didn't, because we had a prime minister, Netanyahu, who's the most gifted speaker, but behind closed doors, when push comes to shove, does not have the courage to push the buttons. So that's a whole nother issue, and for that reason,
definitely the entire left and center has abandoned him, and I'd say a good chunk, maybe 40% of the right, has abandoned him. Not so much because of policy, but because he just doesn't have the cojones to do what needs to be done. With that said, I'll cheer him on, like every other Jew should, when he comes to speak to Congress, and I'm sure he'll give a fantastic speech, because that's his forte, but the crisis in Israel now is a crisis of action. We don't need words, we don't need speeches, we need action, and Netanyahu is notorious for doing all the right small things, and maybe mid-sized things, but when it comes to the big thing, or big things, that requires courage, he hasn't done it, and that has led directly to the October 7th massacre for all sorts of reasons. So if there were an election today, he would not gain enough parliamentary support to create the coalition, as you mentioned, Israel's a parliamentary democracy.
When elections are held, I don't know which coalition is going to win, it depends on what Naftali Bennett does. If Naftali Bennett forms a new right-of-center party, including the Miluwin, the reservists, who are thinking about forming their own party, I believe that will likely win a plurality, and then the question is, do they form a right-wing government or a center-left government, depending on how well the Likud does, how well Yesheti does, and other parties do. So. it's really the ball's in the air, and no one knows where and how it's going to land in terms of what the next government would look like. But I could virtually guarantee you, whenever the next election happens, Netanyahu will not be the prime minister.
Okay, well, that's very, very interesting. And, David, you wrote what you thought would be a great plan for Gaza, and we're out of time in this segment, so I'm going to ask you to come back in the next segment and go over your plan with us. And unfortunately, they can't do any of that. They just graduate for the sake of graduating. This is never a good thing. I've asked David to come back because he wrote an interesting proposal about Gaza and what can be done. So, David, thank you for joining me back again.
And I would like you to share what you wrote with the audience, because I thought it was quite interesting and I hope it gets to the right people.
What your last hope is precisely my point. I had to work feverishly to, at least I hope, get it to the right people. I know Naftali Bennett got the file. Whether he read it, I don't know. I hope he did.
And I know the Director of Strategy or Innovation, Director of Innovation at the Israeli Defense Forces got the file. I hope, again, he read it. But essentially, this white paper I wrote, I wrote, frankly, out of necessity because, picking back off a previous conversation, the Netanyahu government has not had and implemented a proper military strategy. And, frankly, under normal circumstances, Israel would have already won this war. In fact, it's sardonically painful to recount, but I was thinking about, despite my relative age, and I'm not going to tell you how old I am, but I'm over my 30s, I was so feverishly impassioned following the attacks of October 7th that I wanted to go through quick military training and volunteer in the IDF.
following the massacre on October 7th. And I was told by certain individuals, besides the fact that I may be too old because I only did the Ghana program for two weeks and I don't have formal military training, it will, quote-unquote, take too long to train you and, quote-unquote, by the time they're done training you, the war will be over. Of course, that's not true. They're going to train me three times and the war's still going.
So it pains me very much to see all these beautiful boys and girls in the IDF killed, in some cases for no reason, in a lot of cases, friendly fire, in a war that's gone on way too long, that should have been won a long time ago. Part of the fault, of course, is a left-wing administration in America that has slightly hampered Israel, but a lot of it is just a lack of proper military strategy. And this is not just Netanyahu's fault, of course. This goes back to a cultural, political-cultural fault and stagnation within Israeli society, whereby Israel feels, because it's right and righteous, it does not have to make the case for itself. And in the age of social media, and this is not just an Israel issue, all countries who are part of Western civilization, all democracies, especially fighting asymmetric wars against terrorist organizations and non-democracies, have to constantly make the claim that they're doing the right thing and posit why they're doing the right thing and prove they're doing the right thing.
And it may not be fair, especially when it comes to Israel, but that's the name of the game. So there's something called Hasbara, which is Hebrew for PR, public relations, explaining yourself to the public, particularly explaining yourself diplomatically to the nations. And Israel has, as well known in Israel, accepted that it's always had a very horrible Hasbara. It has not done the job of Hasbara. It has not done the job of defending Israel, especially getting ahead of the game and laying the table, which Netanyahu failed to do.
So the biggest mistake the Netanyahu government made in the first week following the massacre of October 7th was saying, listen, here, eyes of the world, we're laying the table before you. In a typical urban warfare scenario, especially the urban warfare scenario in Gaza we're about to embark on, you can expect a civilian-to-combatant death ratio of somewhere between six to one and 10 to one. So if we kill five quote-unquote civilians, and Karen, we could debate as to whether they're really civilians, let's put that aside, and assuming the quote-unquote civilians are really civilians in Gaza, but if we kill five civilians for every Hamas terrorist, we kill, that's proof to you that we went out of our way to limit civilian casualties. So this way, when the following, that followed actually happens, meaning we only kill between 1.5 and two quote-unquote civilians per Hamas combatant killed, we look like righteous geniuses. But because Netanyahu didn't lay the table, of course the world and the left-wing media in America and Europe and beyond are gonna say, look, they're killing many more civilians than Hamas terrorists.
They're targeting civilians. And when foolish U.S. President Joe Biden compounds that by saying, quote-unquote, Israel's indiscriminately bombing end, quote Gaza, then that just confounds and compounds the political fallout and allows countries like South Africa to accuse Israel of genocide. And now Spain has joined their lawsuit in The Hague accusing Israel of genocide. So one of the things my white paper sought to do is to help clarify and elucidate the fact that Hasbara itself has to be part of the military strategy and program in Israel, and the Hasbara professionals, outside of sense of national security, data and information, have to be at the decision table with the military echelon before certain bombs are dropped.
So they're prepared to explain to the public, including these anti-Israel-leaning media, why exactly we dropped the bomb, why any other country would have slaughtered more civilians under the same circumstances, and why, even though we're paying by any loss of life, this is actually a military success, considering what otherwise would have happened. That is the number one premise, strategic premise, of my white paper. There are more tactical premises, such as literally separating quote unquote civilians, women and children, so to more closely hone in on the Hamas terrorists to actually, in absolute terms, as well as relative terms, decrease the loss of innocent or quote, unquote innocent life in Gaza, which helps with the PR. But the main point of the white paper is to encourage the Israeli military echelon to make Hasbara PR an integral, fundamental part of their military tactics and strategy.
Well, that was one of the things that I always found through the years is that the left is absolutely incredible when it comes to marketing. They can sell anything. And the right is so busy in policy that they think everybody understands what they're talking about when nobody understands what they're talking about. And to me, it would have been quite easy or easier to show a comparison of the way that, for example, the Arab Muslims were treated in Israel and the Arabs were treated in Gaza, and that the people of Gaza actually voted. Now, whether or not this was a fair and clear election, nobody knows, but they actually voted to bring the terrorists in as their leaders.
So when you, and more of the information going out in the schools and the way the school children were taught that the Israelis were pigs and dogs and whatever, and along with the Americans because they feel the same way about the Americans as well. And I felt that this is something that never really got across. It never really registered. I don't think Americans who were busy fighting for Gaza on college campuses realized that if they wore orange hair in Gaza, they'd be shot. That if they went and tried to promote the LGBTQ Gazan, Hamas, they'd be shot.
And I don't think they understand that. I don't think that message gets across. And I think that's a big fault of we, the right. I don't know what else to call us.
100%, the right in Israel and the right in the States. In this case, it's more the fault of the right in Israel, because you can't expect strangers to fight for you more than your own family, right? Charity starts at home, as they say. And just to piggyback off your example, you have these idiots, queers for Gaza or queers for Palestine, who obviously, as many people have joked, are akin to saying chickens for KFC. Obviously, they'd be tortured and killed if they were to do the same exact thing about the same lifestyle in Gaza.
But why is it that individuals like me, with 5,000 friends here or 5,000 friends there, have to make that case in social media? Why did the Israeli Hasbara, the Israeli foreign ministry, not make that case? They could easily have made that case. They could easily have put out on X and other platforms videos showing, literally, over the last 20 years, what has happened to gays in Gaza. While you're at it, show gays being hung in Tehran, since the Iranians are the number one external force behind the massacre of October 7th and this war, and show how Muslims and Arabs around the world treat gays in general.
I'm not saying that's exclusively the responsibility of the Israeli government. That's just one example as to how the Hasbara on Israel has failed and has not taken initiative.
Do you think that it's because of the same thing that's going on here, with the censorship of anything that goes against the narrative?
No, because we're talking about the Israeli government, which is a right-wing government.
Okay, but if they have a left-wing media, then it's hard to get the information out.
It's irrelevant. They have their own Twitter accounts, their own Facebook accounts.
Oh, okay.
They could buy ad space in America, just like Donald Trump buys ad space and Joe Biden buys ad space. They have to indeed engage in mass marketing campaigns, just not enough and certainly not really effective mass marketing campaigns. And there are all sorts of NGOs and Jewish and Israeli charities that have engaged in October 7th-related marketing campaigns, but the Israeli government has not stepped up.
Yeah, you're absolutely right. And this is, I agree with you, this is the fault of the Israeli government. They are not giving a precise and clear message. And then, when they try to put something out, the left in America, we go through it's fake news. It's not real, it's not really happening.
It's not true, they're lying. They just want to fight, blah, blah, blah. So they have a double whammy that they've got to work with. Not only should they be getting the right message out, but they've got to get it past the media that doesn't want to hear it. And is busy promoting the false idea that Palestine should be a country and that the Jews are performing genocide on the Gazan people.
Correct.
So I don't know, what are some key things that you think that the Israeli government should do? And you don't have to go into it in depth, but what do you think that they should be doing that they didn't do?
So tactically, they still haven't done it. So it's a shame that Jews slash the state of Israel, have to play the anti-Semitic political and social game of being under a microscope and having to justify every little thing we do. But this is nothing new. This was the case 10 years ago and 20 years ago. So why would we expect, why would the Israeli government or Netanyahu expect anything different on October 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th?
So that's the game we have to play. So if our enemies are playing the game of using their quote-unquote civilians as human shields in order to maximize the deaths of these quote-unquote civilians, in order to lay the foundation for the claim that Israel is committing genocide, so to lay the legal foundation for a case in The Hague, well, we have to play that game. And we have to actually separate civilians, quasi-civilians or quote-unquote civilians from the Hamas companions in Gaza. So one of the things my white paper does is lay out a plan to separate men over the age of 60, children under 18, and women, and keep them north of the Wadi Gaza and have Israel be responsible for the distribution of aid to them, feed them, make them fat as houses, and show the world videos of how well, IDF soldiers are feeding them and treating them, and then focus the military apparatus on shooting men who are not perceived, rightly or wrongly, as sympathetic as women, children, and elderly men are, in general, throughout life. That's not just a modern thing.
And then not only will you actually even better the ratio, which is pretty good as it is, and make the ratio maybe one-to-one, civilian to combatant, but the imagery of dead women and children will be much more sparse and will not be as often manipulated by the anti-Semites on Twitter and the left-wing media to buttress the false notion that the Jews are out to commit genocide.
Well, that would truly be a wonderful thing if we were able to get it done, so I sincerely hope that you were able to get this through to the right people, because a change in attitude and a change in ideology is what is needed, especially when I have to listen to my Jewish friends tell me how horrible Israel is for going after the people in Gaza, those poor people,
knowing full well that they have no idea what's going on, and it's very sad.
David, let's change the topic for a minute. We have a couple of minutes left, and you have been doing a tutoring service, which I feel is a great service, to our students in Florida, and I'd like you to tell everybody what made you decide to do that and where they can find it, and what you can do.
Sure, so I'm a Wall Street-slash-finance guy and investments guy by background. I graduated in Penn with a degree, cum laude, with honors in philosophy, politics, economics, in 99, and I thought I would pursue strictly a Wall Street career, and I did that, that was my first job, working as an investment manager, research analyst for Merrill Lynch in their Jersey City headquarters, 101 Hudson, which at the time was the tallest building in New Jersey, directly across the river from the World Trade Center, and the attacks of 9-11 destroyed my commute to work, so long, story short, when Merrill offered people like me a severance package, I took it, and I took the entrepreneurial route. Long story short, I wound up in South Florida, Miami Beach, and I noticed that there was no Capitol and the Chorus or Princeton Review or anything of the like anywhere along the A1A corridor in which I lived, and I said, you know what, why don't I create something like that? So it took about two years for me to crack the exams to the point where we could, I slash the tutors I hired, could completely master them, and we developed a reputation for ourselves. We probably had the best results in terms of SCT and ACT scores in South Florida, maybe the whole state of Florida, for all I know.
We won the Expertise Award and other awards, and we've probably gotten over 600 students into the top 50, easily top 100, maybe even top 50 schools over the last 15 years, and we obviously continue to provide those services, mostly one-on-one, some small classes. We also do essay and application assistance, and we do a great job for our students, parenthetically, in terms of what you focus on. I could tell in the 15 years that I've been doing this, that students coming to me consistently, every two, three, four years, just have a lower and less impressive knowledge base than their predecessors from three, four, five years prior, which tells me that both the public and the private, particularly the public education system in Florida, is not only subpar, it's been getting worse as the years go by. And things that I knew in ninth grade, going to poly prep in Brooklyn, even some of my best students don't know when they sign up to take the assessment in the beginning of our relationship as juniors and seniors. So the work you're doing and your colleagues are doing is absolutely critical.
We need more organizations and people like you and yours, and hopefully someday Crystal Clear Tutors could be so successful. I could put on passive income mode and train all my tutors to do what I do, and hopefully I could join you in your public policy pursuits and dedicate my life to that as well.
Well, that would be terrific. So where do they find you, and how does it work? What happens? Explain the procedure of what a parent or someone who wants to get their child involved, what they have to do.
Sure. Dave, at crystalcleartutors.com or call me at 888-981-PREP, P-R-E-P. First, we do an assessment. I usually do most of the assessments myself. It's a two-hour assessment that costs $200 and that determines firstly, which exam, the SCT or ACT, is preferable for the student and, predicated on the results of the assessment, roughly how many cycles of 10 hours we'll need to very likely achieve the score goal necessary to make that student's application competitive to the schools at which or to which they're applying, at which they wish to matriculate.
And we only charge per cycle. So if we don't earn our keep after the first cycle, you don't have to pay for the second cycle. It's not like the Kaplan or Princeton review, where you throw down thousands of dollars, and it is what it is. We're constantly earning our keep and constantly proving our efficacy. And it's extremely rare that a student does not do the full course as predicted in the assessment.
And like I said, as I told you personally, I'll say now publicly, almost all of our students superscore at least a 1300 out of 1600 on the SCT and at least a 30 out of 36 on the ACT. And of course, for older students, we do GMAT, GRE, LSAT and other gradual level exams, but our bread and butter is the SAT slash ACT for high school students.
Well, folks, as DEI, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, or DI, as I call it, an affirmative action, and people are really beginning to see the dangers of that and what it has done to our society, what it has done to our kids, what it has created, the incompetence, we see that more and more and more. People are beginning to realize that they gotta change what they're doing. We can't continue to do this same thing of teaching our kids to be mediocre and then expecting them to be brilliant and be leaders. What are we leaving our country? What are we leaving our families?
What are we leaving everything to mediocre people who can't function? And we saw that happening with what went on with the Secret Service. How can you have a mediocre Secret Service guarding some of the most high profile people in America, in the world? You can't. And if you can't have people that are immersed in common sense and have the skillset to be able to lead, then who's gonna be the leaders?
What are we gonna do? So we have to make a concerted effort from the beginning, from kindergarten, and then follow through that by the time the child gets to high school, they will be, they should be above their class. They should be able to, as I say all the time, read, write, do math and science. And they should be able to take one of David's courses and make sure that they pass the exams that they need to to get into the college of their choice. that does not teach this garbage, because that's the other part of the problem.
If you're leaving something that's worthwhile and you're stepping into something that's not, and that's what you're gonna be left with. And we are in for a big world of hurt. We are in for a big problem. And this is unfortunately what we are looking at in America. So I feel very, very compelled right now.
And we all know I've been a teacher forever. And I always, I can't tell you enough to get your kids out of those public indoctrination clinics masquerading as public schools. And as a former teacher, I can't even believe that I'm saying that. But the schools are teaching them nothing. And if we want to make sure that we are graduating the best and the brightest and America does have a chance and we do have a hope and we step back into a world leadership role, we have to look at ourselves in the mirror and understand where this is coming from.
It's coming from us. And if we don't make the appropriate changes, well, guess what? We will repeat the same mistakes. Where have I heard that before? David, thank you so much for joining me.
It is always wonderful to talk to you.
And once again, tell everyone where they can find you. And hopefully people will.
Dave at crystalcleartutors.com or call me at 1-888-981-PREP.
Thank you. And Dave, you have a website?
Crystalcleartutors.com.
Crystalcleartutors, folks, write that down. That's very important. And thank you so much, Dave, for joining me today. This has been quite a rocky road, but quite enlightening. And it is so important, folks, that we not only understand what's going on in America, but we also have to look at what's going on in the rest of the world.
And what we are beginning to see is that, thank God, people are waking up and they're saying, no, I don't want to do this. No, I don't want to go there. No, I don't want to be part of that. No, I am not interested. And hopefully the globalists will be pushed back in their little boxes and we will understand what this climate hoax is all about and that our kids are not learning anything.
We're going to have to be very careful over the next several months before the election, because the media is going to be recrafting this new Kamala Harris. And we have to be able to point out, go back, look at what she really said, look at what she actually said, because one of the things that they will do is make her palatable, make her middle of the road, make the Republicans awful, horrible, misogynist, racist, whatever, for pointing out her flaws, and there are many. She was the most extreme radical senator in the Senate, and not pointing it out will be a travesty. We cannot allow this woman who lies, has lied consistently, especially about Joe's health, and has lied about going to the border. She has been integral at making sure that America has been overrun.
She believes in an open border and the media is going to support her. So we have to be able to point out all of the things that she has done and share them with our friends and answer them when we see them in the paper, and that's called doing your part. So do not allow the media to take control of the narrative. It is up to us. The other day I heard that she went, nobody said that Kamala Harris was the border czar.
The Republicans said that and they're making it seem that she didn't do her job. But she was the border czar and she didn't do her job. So these are the things that we're going to be facing, and it is most important that we make sure that the truth be told.
So I know, today we focused a lot on education, because I strongly believe, as I'm sure that many of you believe, that our children are our future, and if we don't take care of them today, they certainly will not take care of us tomorrow, because they won't be able to. They won't be able to function. and, knowing full well that we bring people into the world who can't function, shame on us. You have been listening to Karen Chong. This is The Prism of America's Education, brought to you on the America Out Loud dot news network with my wonderful sponsor, the Florida Citizens Alliance, go FLCA, mentor a child, make a difference.
It's so important. We need your help. Everyone needs to help everyone else, and that's what makes America great. Thank you all for listening and I will see you again next week. ♪.
