Out Loud talk radio. I have black and white evidence that the FBI interfered in the 2016 election. It's time for The Truth. Be Told with Booker Scott.
The Republicans spent the entire week talking about unifying, unity in the country, in the party. They had the entire week to do it. They had the entire stage. America was looking at the Republicans more than ever. after what happened last Saturday, on July 13th, to Donald Trump.
Did they successfully do what they needed to do to start the unification process in this country? I'm Booker Scott, and this is The Truth. Be Told. Thank you so much for joining us here on America Out Loud talk radio. Whether you are listening live or you happen to find us on a podcast later, thank you so much for being here.
We have finally made it to Friday. Thank goodness. It has been a rough week in America and we had an incredible RNC convention. There was a lot of positivity out of it. And you know, going into Thursday, Donald Trump was going to give his speech and the way that I looked at it was this could be the defining moment of Donald Trump's presidency.
And, more important than that, it could be a defining moment in American history. I really thought that, you know, after everything that's happened this week, everyone is going to be watching this. A lot of undecided voters, a lot of American people are now just curious after the failed assassination attempt of Donald Trump. And I think that he really had an opportunity to speak to the American people. This country is as divided as it has ever been.
Honestly, I'm tired of it. And maybe you are too. I'm tired of the initials that the left wants to use. And when you compare and contrast Donald Trump and Joe Biden's campaigns, look how angry Joe Biden always is. What is their message?
Do they even have a message other than more handouts, paying off student loan debts, more free things for people? Somebody is paying for that. There is no such thing as a free government handout. The only way government gets money is from us, our tax money. So they are giving our money away is what they are doing.
We all know that. But the message from the Democrats is very negative. They attack Donald Trump. They have for eight years. And, to be quite honest and fair, I think you would have to agree with me that Donald Trump has also always been in attack mode.
Maybe that comes from him having to be defensive, because he has been attacked for eight years since he came down the escalator. That's when it started. That's when all of these people turned on him.
And it's not been an easy ride. It's been tough. And the country has become more divided. It's probably more divided than it has been in my life. Although I'm old enough to have lived in the 60s and the early 70s, when things were really bad.
As far as me, as an adult, I never remember a time in American history when we are as divided. So I had all of that in my mind as I'm going into Thursday night in the RNC convention and the opportunity that Donald Trump had to start the unification process of all Americans. Let's get out of our boxes of intersectionality and let's see each other as Americans. And that was my expectation for a speech that ended up lasting 92 minutes. Maybe a little long.
And maybe sometimes Donald Trump did meander off of his speech that he actually rewrote since Saturday.
But his tone was great. He didn't have any rhetoric that was going after Joe Biden. In fact, in 92 minutes, which was a record, it's the longest speech ever at a convention, he only mentioned Joe Biden's name one time. And I think that may have been by mistake because he was off the script at that point. But everything else in his message was about how America can be great again, that we can put the needs of America first and Americans first.
That should be a simple message. It shouldn't be controversial. And yet, for some people in this country, it is. And for those people that are so far to the left, there's no changing their mind. There's even more evidence this week of how vile those people are.
Those 30% are always going to think that Joe Biden and handouts from our government is the answer. But opportunity and hope is the answer. Fairness and equality, equal justice, all of those things are truly the answer for America. Did Donald Trump deliver on his speech?
Friends, delegates and fellow citizens, I stand before you this evening with a message of confidence, strength and hope. Four months from now, we will have an incredible victory and we will begin the four greatest years in the history of our country.
Together, we will launch a new era of safety, prosperity and freedom for citizens of every race, religion, color and creed. The discord and division in our society must be healed. We must heal it quickly. As Americans, we are bound together by a single fate and a shared destiny. We rise together or we fall apart.
I am running to be president for all of America, not half of America, because there is no victory in winning for half of America.
So tonight, with faith and devotion, I proudly accept your nomination for president of the United States.
Thank you.
A couple of things there in that part of his speech that struck me, and maybe they did you. They are the type of words and comments that can stick in American history. He said, we rise together or we fall apart. So important.
And I believe that is important. And I believe that that was the objective of Donald Trump, was to start speaking to all Americans. In fact, he said it in this speech. He said, I am president. I want to be president for all Americans, not just the Republicans, not just MAGA or America First People, but all Americans.
And when you look at his first four years, all Americans did better than they are now under Joe Biden.
I tell you this, we want our hostages back and they better be back before I assume office, or you will be paying a very big price.
The reason why I chose this clip to play for you is because, to me, this was very Reagan esque. If you remember back to that time, when he ran against Jimmy Carter, the hostages were held in Iran at that point. And as soon as Ronald Reagan took office, those hostages were released after all of that time being held hostage in Iran, which, by the way, if you don't remember, that was the start of the ABC news program after the late local news nightline with Ted Koppel. That's where that started. They used to report every night on the hostage situation in Iran.
But I thought that that clip was very interesting because he is showing strength there and Hamas better understand that those hostages better be released by January 20th, 2025, or bad things are going to happen to you. That's what Donald Trump just said. It is strength. And it was a message of strength for the world as well. Not just Hamas, not just the Middle East, but it was China.
It was Russia. It was to all of those people. You better do right between now and then, because when I get back in office, you're going to be held.
accountable. Let me begin this evening by expressing my gratitude to the American people for your outpouring of love and support following the assassination attempt at my rally on Saturday.
Now, here, Donald Trump is going to talk, for, he says, the only time he's ever going to tell the story about what happened on Saturday with the assassination attempt. He says he hasn't talked about it since and he's not going to talk about it again.
I was discussing the great job my administration did on immigration at the southern border. We were very proud of it.
Behind me and to the right was a large screen that was displaying a chart of border crossings under my leadership. The numbers were absolutely amazing. In order to see the chart, I started to, like this, turn to my right and was ready to begin a little bit further turn, which I'm very lucky I didn't do, when I heard a loud whizzing sound and felt something hit me really, really hard on my right ear.
I said to myself, wow, what was that?
It can only be a bullet and moved my right hand to my ear, brought it down. My hand was covered with blood, just absolutely blood all over the place. I immediately knew it was very serious, that we were under attack, and in one movement proceeded to drop to the ground. Bullets were continuing to fly. As very brave Secret Service agents rushed to the stage, and they really did, they rushed to the stage.
This massive crowd of tens of thousands of people stood by and did this, as you probably know. And when even a single bullet is fired, just a single bullet, and we had many bullets that were being fired, crowds run for the exits or stampede.
One part of this part of the speech that I thought was interesting is his talk about the people, because it was something that struck me as it was happening. Something I talked about already this week. I think it was Monday night. How the people didn't panic. They stayed where they were.
They looked at Donald Trump. And it struck me as odd at the moment that people weren't running for the exits, they weren't ducking down, they stood there almost fearlessly. at that very moment. Donald Trump spoke about that.
Many of them bravely but automatically stood up looking for where the sniper would be. They knew immediately it was a sniper and then began pointing at him. You can see that if you look at the group behind me, that was just a small group compared to what was in front. Nobody ran and by not stampeding, many lives were saved. But that isn't the reason.
That they didn't move, the reason is that they knew I was in very serious trouble, they saw it, they saw me go down, they saw the blood and thought, actually most did, that I was dead. They knew it was a shot to the head, they saw the blood.
I don't know about you, but what he just said is true for me. I thought at that moment that he had taken a head injury. Maybe it hadn't completely registered with him. I wasn't sure if the bullet was still lodged in his head and I wasn't for a while after that. So he speaks about the crowd and how they reacted here in this part of it.
They just this beautiful crowd. They didn't want to leave me. They knew I was in trouble. They didn't want to leave me. And you can see that love written all over their faces.
Incredible people. They're incredible people. Bullets were flying over us, yet I felt serene. But now the Secret Service agents were putting themselves in peril. They were in very dangerous territory.
Bullets were flying right over them, missing them by a very small amount of inches. And then it all stopped. Our Secret Service sniper from a much greater distance and with only one bullet used.
Took the assassin's life, took him out.
So, according to Donald Trump, that is the only time he is ever going to tell that story. We'll have to wait and see about that. Do you think that speech served its purpose to start the unification process of this country? I think it was a great speech. I think he did good.
I think the rhetoric was toned down. Again, he didn't mention Joe Biden, but once. And I believe that was a mistake. even. He didn't pick at the Democrats too much.
He talked about what he had done and what he can do for all American people. So on that part, I think Donald Trump did a great job in his speech. A bunch of heavy hitters were there on Thursday night, including Tucker Carlson. And to a standing ovation, he took the stage and delivered some great remarks.
I have been to many conventions. I have never been to a more fun convention or a convention with better vibes.
They literally let Navarro out of prison, first of all. Thank you.
This feels a lot different from what I thought it was going to feel like.
And, by the way, Peter Navarro was just released from prison this week and he spoke at the RNC. I talked about that earlier, but that was what that reference was about, that Tucker Carlson just made there.
You know, he reached out to Trump within hours of it that night. And what he said to me that night, having just been shot in the face, he said not a single word about himself. He said only how amazed he was and how proud he was of the crowd, which didn't run.
And I thought two things. The first thing I thought was, well, of course they didn't run. His courage gave them heart. A leader's courage gives courage to his people.
And the second thing I thought was, this is the selfish guy I've been hearing about for nine years, really not a word about himself, about his people, period. And the second thing I noticed, which I don't think anyone has remarked upon in public, but I'm just going to, since I don't have a script, like why not, is that he turned down the most obvious opportunity in politics to inflame the nation after being shot, to inflame the nation, which is an opportunity that almost every other politician I've ever met, and certainly his opponents, would have taken instantly. And they would have said, well, what is this? How did he get shot? Like, how did this happen?
And those are real questions that we have to get to the bottom of. But in the moment, the days, the week after the shooting, he did not say that. He did his best to bring the country together. And I thought this is the divisive figure. This is the irresponsible person.
No, this is the most responsible, unifying behavior of a leader I think I've ever seen.
So the question is, where is he leading us? And I could go on for hours, but let me just sum it up. I do think the entire point from the famous escalator ride nine years ago until today of Donald Trump's public life has been to remind us of one fact, which is a leader's duty is to his people, to his country and to no other. That's the point. That's the only point.
And another word for this is democracy. Democracy, in case you're a little sick of being beaten in the face with democracy on television. Actual democracy is the proposition that the citizens of a country own that country. They're not renters. They're not serfs.
They're not slaves. They are the owners of the country. And for that to be true, their leaders have to represent them, which is another way of saying they have to do what the people want them to do.
And great comments there from Tucker Carlson. I think he sums it up perfectly about this week and even more so about Donald Trump. in the last eight or nine years. Donald Trump's businesses sacrificed about a billion dollars while he was in office. He sacrificed so much when he could have an easy life for the people.
And that's what the people know. So at the moment when he is taking bullets and he goes down and he comes up with a fist and says, fight the people there, the people watching realize what Donald Trump is all about. Coming up, I have more of the Thursday night RNC convention. Plus, Chris Widener is going to join me from the Red Referral Network dot com. I'll get his thoughts on what he thought about the RNC convention.
If you ask me, this whole world is gone to hell.

Spending a little time here on this Friday night going through the RNC convention that was this week. The first segment. there was Donald Trump and then Tucker Carlson. There were other speakers, as I mentioned earlier, and the mainstream media doesn't like who the RNC has. And I find it almost I don't know.
I don't really know what to say about it, actually. I guess they would prefer that. Well, let me let me play for you what MSNBC was saying about the convention on Thursday night. Here we go.
They can't get anybody who is part of mainstream culture to be a part of this.
And who exactly is she talking about? Mainstream culture? is that the Hollywood elites, that is not at the RNC convention? People like Hulk Hogan or Dana White, the CEO of UFC. That's who she's referring to here.
I'm going to play some of this Hulk Hogan speech that he gave at the RNC. You know, Hulk Hogan is a character, a very famous World Wrestling Federation character. Everybody knows Hulk Hogan. But I guess this MSNBC host would be more familiar with a freak like Madonna or Jack Black, who, just over the weekend, at a concert in Australia, was on stage laughing about the assassination attempt of Donald Trump. I guess that's who the mainstream media would prefer to have, as opposed to a story like Hulk Hogan, who speaks for the people.
Yeah, maybe not the people that she likes, but the Republican Party has changed to represent the American people, the real people in the heartland, not the people on the coasts, the elite globalists in New York and in Hollywood. This Republican Party represents the blue collar, hardworking American folks. And you see that in Donald Trump's selection for vice president in J.D. Vance. Here is more of this talking head on MSNBC.
I know it's a freak show and it is just I don't understand, as McKay said, I don't understand who they're trying to appeal to here. I really don't. I mean, I think that, well, men, I guess men, but men and young men, men and young men, but they don't even have like PGA tour. When are you doing a UFC? Is not your mainstream UFC.
We'll give them UFC. But again, I mean that this is introducing someone who is going to be accepting the Republican presidential nomination for the third time. They've done this three times before. And rather than building support in any kind of cultural sphere, it is atrophied to.
the point. Cultural sphere is she's speaking of? because the cultural sphere she's speaking of, I don't want any part of it. And if you're listening to this program, I know you don't want any part of it either. One of those voices they're speaking on MSNBC was George Conway.
That is Kellyanne Conway's ex-husband at this point. He was a former Republican. Now he is on MSNBC. He was also one of the founders of the Lincoln Project. If you don't know anything about them, they are vile human beings.
That's what they are. Some of their founders were actually pedophiles. That's who they are. The Lincoln Project. They're nothing but Democrats that mask and veil themselves as conservatives and Republicans to discount everything that a MAGA or America First or the Republican Party stands for.
Everything I saw this week, the Republican Party was making the tent bigger for all people in America. Because if you see things as I do in America right now, there are two clear choices. There's a choice that wants to take us to a place that none of us really want to go. One that makes government your God. And there is another side that has talked about God all week.
So which one do you want to pick? But I find it interesting there that George Conway is on MSNBC. Let's go to Hulk Hogan. They mentioned Hulk Hogan. They mentioned Dana White on UFC.
Well, maybe he's OK. And they only say that because UFC is so big right now that they know that they would piss off some of the people watching if they made any negative comment about Dana White. That's all these people do is virtue signal to the elites, and elites also like the UFC. That's, that's, that's across the board. UFC is popular and they know that.
Let's go to Hulk Hogan.
I can't wait.
This is going to be like body slamming the giant at WrestleMania. What brought you out here? Why are you here? Well, you know, Brett, I get tired of remaining silent. You know, I sat back and watched the borders collapse.
I watched the economy collapse. You know, I watched the price of gas, the price of food, everything just do an upside down flip. And when they took a shot at my hero, Donald Trump, I realized that I couldn't be silent anymore. You know, I had to step up. I had to be a real American, just like all these real Americans here and Donald Trump.
I have a voice, too. And I want people to know. it's time to talk. It's time not to be silent anymore. Great comments there from Hulk Hogan on with Brett Baer before he spoke.
That was on Fox News. That is from Fox News. Now let's go to what Hulk Hogan did when he went on stage. He was Hulk Hogan. That's who he was in character when he was on stage at the RNC on Thursday night.
Trump, run wild, brother. Let Trump rule again. Let Trump make America great again.
And as he was saying that he was ripping his shirt off, underneath his shirt that he ripped off, he had a Trump Vance tank top.
Great Hulk Hogan. One more comment from him and we'll move on from Hulk Hogan.
What you're going to do when Donald Trump and all the Trump of maniacs run wild on?
you, brother?
I think it was fun. The Republicans were having fun this week and that bothers the mainstream media and it bothers the people on the left, because they are a miserable bunch. Just look at them. There's nothing that says happy or joyous in our lives about these people. Here is more of MSNBC and Rachel Maddow and something that she had to say.
But there was a poll out today, a poll of African-American women showing a 31 point drop in support from 2020 to 2024 in terms of plans to vote for President Biden.
And they are still worried about President Biden. And there's some news about that. I'm going to get to that here in a few minutes. A little bit more from MSNBC, because this one was really interesting. Listen to this.
The Democratic base right now is just entirely lacking for intensity. I mean, when I talk with Democrat elected officials in the battleground states, they tell me the same story over and over and over again. They can't find anybody to come out and volunteer for them to do the sort of work that that's necessary in a field operation because there's just no enthusiasm. I mean, we hear all the time about the cliche enthusiasm gap in politics. I've never seen an enthusiasm gap like the one we're witnessing in the summer of this election year.
I've heard horror stories from people on the ground in Michigan, in Pennsylvania, in Arizona, about just striking out time and time again as local Democratic Party chapters, county chapters, have tried to get people to come in and phone bank, to get mail, going, to knock on doors. They can't do it. They can't find people. That is an interesting comment. Usually the Democrats are great at getting out the vote.
They're not energized, are they? Why would they? What is Joe Biden, Kamala Harris selling the American people compared to what you have seen in the RNC convention this week, where there has been unity and where it's been about all people, and they actually have policies that they want to put in place to reverse the things that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have done over the last three and a half years in America. now can see what they have done. from opening the borders on day one, the day that they went into office, they reversed all of Donald Trump's policies.
We see the effect that that is having on cities, our children, on the health care system. It's causing a drain on all American people, whether you realize it or not, yet or not. It is. It's affecting you. We have crime in cities, big cities.
The crime is up. All of these things are now coming home to roost. They wanted to defund the police. They wanted to have no bail and they wanted to have open borders. They want to have boys in girls bathrooms.
They want to have porn in school libraries. The Democrat base, those that typically go out and get the people to vote, they're not energized to work. And he mentioned especially those battleground states of Pennsylvania and Michigan and Wisconsin, which, by the way, are the same states that J.D. Vance can associate with. They can relate to J.D.
Vance. He is one of them from Ohio, from the Rust Belt. So it's interesting that the Democrats have this failure going on and the Republicans have all the momentum. I think that's a good thing. There's a lot of time, though.
Donald Trump mentioned. there is four months between now and the election. A lot can happen in four months in politics. I say that a lot, and I'd like to remind people of that. Don't get carried away.
This is the time to put your foot on the gas, not put your foot on the brake. It's between now and four months from now is when you have to get active. The Democrats aren't. So put your foot on their neck and step on them. That's what we should do at this point.
But I find it interesting that MSNBC and the talking heads there, even George Conway on MSNBC, he's concerned about what's happening, and they should be. We also heard Thursday night from The Washington Post that there was an agreement in place that Joe Biden is not going to be the nominee. It's something I talked about last night and I've said it for a long time. I don't think that he will. But Joe Biden is still not giving up.
That was leaked from The Washington Post. And, from what I understand, it was Barack Obama who gave that information to the reporter with The Washington Post. Within a couple of hours, it had come out that that's what had happened, because at first it was being reported that there was a done deal and it wasn't necessarily going to be Kamala Harris. What I read was that it was going to be one of three different candidates that would go into the Democrat National Convention, which is coming up. It's coming up here in a couple of weeks.
I'll bring you information on that as it comes. So I guess what they have planned, Barack Obama and whoever else, is to bring three different people to the convention and let the delegates vote at the convention for one of those three people. I don't know who the other two are. I didn't see anything on that. A couple of people were mentioned as a possible running mate for Kamala Harris.
I don't know how true it was, but it was Pete Buttigieg, who is the transportation secretary, completely failed transportation secretary. He is a DEI hire, just like Kamala Harris. Look at that ticket, if that is the ticket. What do they have to offer the American people? What is their experience in solving any of the problems that we have?
Another name that was mentioned, that was reported, that Kamala Harris is now vetting to become a vice president, and that's Ben Shapiro. You may remember his name. He was the secretary of state in Pennsylvania after the 2020 election. He was the one that prevented so much of the evidence from going to court. He fought everything against election integrity in Pennsylvania after the 2020 election.
He then became the governor of the state of Pennsylvania, where he has been for the last couple of years. He's the governor of Pennsylvania now. So it's all very interesting. what's going on with the Democrats. They are simply imploding and they don't know what to do.
They have a very, very short window, but it still sounds like Joe Biden is being defiant. We'll have to wait and see. It's getting very interesting. It's a bumpy ride. And, you know, I don't know that the bumpiest part of this ride is going to happen between now and November, but maybe the bumpiest part of this ride happens between November 5th and January 20th.
Do you think the deep state, the administrative state, the ones that are going to be vacated, all of their chairs are going to be vacated? J.D. Vance has said that. Got to clean out that administrative state in the deep state if we want to take this country back. Do you think they are going to allow between November 5th and January 20th for there just to be a simple transition of power?
Or at that point, could it be bumpier? I think it's going to be a bumpy ride between November 5th and January 20th. Should Donald Trump actually win? If they don't actually kill him.
You can't convince me that they're not going to try. They've tried everything else. And who knows if that wasn't them? And I hate to use that word. That attempted it last Saturday, on July 13th.
Chris Widener, he's coming here.

Chris, welcome in. And what are your thoughts on this RNC convention this week?
Well, you know, I got to tell you, and you've probably heard, and they were saying it on television that this is truly the best RNC of my lifetime. In fact, you know, what I thought was interesting was Harold Ford, Jr., you know, who's one of those sort of part time guest hosts on The Five. I saw him last night. He said, I think he said he's been to 30 conventions in his lifetime, including, you know, Democrat as well as the Republican ones. He's covered as a, as a journalist afterwards or a commentator afterwards.
He said it's literally the best convention he's ever been to, Democrat or Republican. So I'll tell you, whoever put it on, you know, Laura Chomp and her team, they put on just a fun, engaging, warm hearted, diverse, just it was. it was nearly perfectly.
executed. In the segment before you just joined us here, I played some of the comments from MSNBC. One of those was complaining that none of these people that the RNC convention has brought to the stage have been in the sphere, in the culture that would attract anybody. And, you know, I made the comment, who are you trying to attract? I don't want to attract anybody from Hollywood or New York.
at this point. The Republican Party has changed, hasn't it? It is more the party of the people.
Absolutely. And I mean, initially, as soon as you said that, the first thing that popped into my mind was Van Jones' commentary on Amber Rose. The night afterwards, Van Jones, it might have been two nights afterwards, but within a day or two afterwards, they were having this discussion about Amber Rose. And he was on a panel with, I don't know, four or five other people, and they were knocking, you know, the fact that the Republicans had Amber Rose on. And Van Jones said, and I'm pretty close, but I am paraphrasing.
He said, you know, this woman is far more influential and famous and important than the five of us combined. And he said, when you have a young, successful, beautiful, black woman, who is that well known in culture, and then this is the term that I love that he used, he said, that is a bunker buster. And for those of you who don't know what a bunker buster is, it's the missile that you use when everybody's buried 400 feet below the ground. That's how you get to it. It goes deep.
It's hard and it breaks everything up. So when somebody says there's nobody, that's culturally relevant or that anybody wants to listen to, I know there were a lot of sort of the more far right Christian folks who were upset that she was there. But the perspective of people who know on the other side was this was very culturally relevant. Having the union president there, having the African-American woman who lost her son, and they let the people go. I mean, we took shot after shot after shot into the culture and really saw us make some inroad, I believe.
In this particular RNC, you bring a couple of things up that make me think about a couple of other things, and that is forever, the Republican Party was probably considered, and at least positioned as the party that didn't want to have anything to do with culture. And now they bring people like Hulk Hogan, Dana White, Amber Rose into the picture. And the first thing that MSNBC does is attack them for that. You know, those people are never going to be happy. You bring up something about Amber Rose, though, that I saw on social media, and I know that you did, too.
And going into this convention, you had the evangelicals and the Christians already upset that abortion and marriage was kind of taken out of the 20 bullet points that the convention was supposed to be about in the MAGA platform that Donald Trump himself put out. And the interesting part to me is it is those people that support Donald Trump fully, but were also upset. But the evangelicals were upset over that. And I really don't understand why they got upset, because everything that I saw this week, there was a lot of reference to God and Jesus. Franklin Graham said an incredible prayer.
There was scripture from Ben Carson and from a lot of others. Jesus, and God has not been taken out of the platform. It was. And so when you bring someone like Amber Rose and these people that got so upset about it, they're not, I don't think, fully understanding where we are right now in this country and how important it is to bring everybody together. As much as you may not agree with Amber Rose, and I don't agree with her, but as a Christian and as evangelical, my tent is open to everyone.
I have compassion on people.
Yeah, I mean, I was sitting here as you were talking. I was thinking of an analogy of, you know, take it to a very small scale situation. Let's say that you're hosting Thanksgiving one year and you're a Christian and you're evangelical and you're devout and you invite, you know, your friends and family. And one of your friends says, can I bring so and so? And you kind of like.
maybe, you know, the guy, he's from your town. He's not necessarily the greatest guy or whatever. Maybe he's a partier or whatever. And you think to yourself, well, you know, this is going to be a Christian Thanksgiving, we're going to say a prayer, we're going to read the Thanksgiving story and, you know, all this kind of thing. I would think your perspective would be, well, as long as that person understands that we're holding a, you know, a Thanksgiving, we're going to talk about Thanksgiving story, we're going to say prayers of gratitude and those kinds of things, as long as your friend understands that that's what we're doing, they are more than welcome.
But we're not going to change it and make it a secular Thanksgiving because your friend comes. And I would say that that's sort of a small analogy of a president or a party who says, this is where we're going. This is what we're doing. We're going to do it. We're not asking questions.
This is our agenda. And somebody says, I'd like to participate in that agenda. You say, okay, you want to participate in this agenda? Yes. I'd like to come on board.
We're not going to go. do your crazy stuff that you might do in your other lifestyle or whatever. And I just, Booker, for the life of me, I cannot understand. I cannot understand the Christians who were so upset that we had a person there who wants to participate and wants to support our agenda and we don't want them there because of some other, you know, something else that they've done. And, to be honest with you, I don't know much about Amber Rose, but if she wants to support what we have said we're doing and she'll tell millions of other young women of color, come on board, let's do it.
Yeah. Because, as I see things, and you probably see them the same way, there's an easy pick here, there's a side that wants you to have no God, and there is a side that wants you to have a God, and that's the pick. And it's that simple. So, earlier in this hour, I talked about Donald Trump going into Thursday night, having the opportunity to, what I believe, make a speech that was the defining moment of him and possibly a very defining moment in American history to unify everybody, because everybody was going to be watching that speech last night. Do you think he accomplished that?
You know, I got to tell you, I was disappointed, isn't the right word. I feel, and again, with everything that's gone on with him this week and how tired he was just being there all the time and everything, I think it was a great speech. I thought the tone of the speech was great. You know, he wasn't combative, he wasn't putting people down, he wasn't those kinds of things, but I think he could have been a little more inspirational. I think he could have painted a greater picture.
You know, he took four or five minutes there where he talked about what actually happened on Saturday, and I think everybody kind of already knew, but I think it humanized him. I think he got that out of it. He got the humanization out of it. I think he got a good tone out of it, that he's not this guy that's going to go out there and destroy everything and break everything. But I do feel like he could have been a little more inspirational in terms of where we're going and how great it can be and those kinds of things.
But obviously, his team made a decision, and I'm totally fine with the decision. It was great. I would have liked to have seen a little more of the inspirational kinds of aspects to it.
As I've watched the convention this week, and I would love to have your thoughts on this, it appears to me that Donald Trump looks different, and I don't really know how a person couldn't, being a millimeter from death just this week. Does he look different to you as you're watching him on television?
He does, and I'll tell you, I am friends with one of his close friends. I've only met President Trump once or twice, but I'm very good friends with one of his 40-year friends, very close friends. And I sent this person a note the day after, two days after, and I sent two pictures. I sent the picture of him standing there with his fist raised in the air, and I sent the picture of him on the ground, blood on his face, that was sort of shot. The picture was shot and taken through the legs of one of the Secret Service.
One of his hands was up, kind of looked like he was praying a little bit. And I said, I know that the picture, and this is what I said, I know that the picture of him with his fist in the air is the one that's going to become the iconic picture. However, the picture where Trump's life changed is the bottom one, where he's on the ground, and I said, on the ground, on his knees, blood in his face, under a pile of Secret Service agents, shots ringing out in the air, that's when President Trump's life changed. That is the moment that gave him what he needed to take the second picture. It was, you could almost imagine, everything went silent for a moment, except everything went into slow motion.
And here he is, billionaire, brash, braggadocio, rich, powerful, on the ground, split seconds, millimeters away from dying. And in that moment, I think, something changed. That's why he stood up and stuck his fist in the air and said, fight. Something transformed there. I think we're yet to find out the full extent of what happened, but he talked an awful lot about God last night, and as did a whole bunch of other people.
So, and, you know, Booker, you and I have had these discussions and you know how I really believe that God is using Donald Trump, you know, much like Cyrus was used in the Bible, but I believe that God loves President Trump, just like he loves every human being and wants a relationship with us. And I believe that we're going to see some interesting things the next few years.
Did you get a response when you sent those text messages?
I did. And his friend said, yes, unbelievable. And I don't think that person had spent any time with him, yet, had spoken with him on the phone a couple of times at that point, literally within an hour. I think they're two hours of the shooting, but very much agreed and is very interested as well to see what happens.
One thing that has opened my eyes this week that I really never knew happened was the rabbit holes on the left. I think they're deeper than the ones on the right. The conspiracy theories on the left are amazing. You know, they think that Donald Trump staged the shooting and they believe that. And that's one of the problems I see with all of the information that people can make, create, content creators is none of it is vetted.
And for the people that want to believe a certain way, they end up believing the way that they want to believe, regardless of what other information may be available, because they are only feeding what they want to eat. Does that make sense?
Yeah. And, and the problem is that it really comes a lot of conspiracy. theories come from the fact that we hate the other person so much that we have to come up with a reason why something happened that would benefit us. So, from the left's perspective, they're like, okay, we saw it. He got hit.
There was blood. There's a person that's dead. Um, okay, but this can't be good. And Trump can't be good. And Trump can't win.
And we don't want Trump to become more popular. So, so what could it be? I got it. He faked the whole thing. You're driven by your, you're driven by your perspective rather than your, your desire to know the truth.
See, I always thought that they, I always thought the left was just, they were just a bunch of sheep and they believed what the mainstream media was telling them. The mainstream media isn't telling them that. And so they are down some really deep rabbit holes and pulling out some rabbit turds along the way. I found it very interesting. It opened my eyes in a different way that I had never really even considered that they also have those types of conspiracy theories.
Uh, it looks like, uh, well, it looks like Joe Biden is not going to make it to the convention. What are your thoughts on that?
I don't know. You know, as, as up to about a month ago, people were saying, what do you think's going to happen? And I said, well, anywhere, anything between Trump winning in a landslide and Biden calling off the elections, declaring martial law, something in between those two things is going to happen. I don't know, you know, really, truly, the only, the only person who can make this happen is Biden. We all know how arrogant he is.
We all know how much he doesn't like the Obamas and Hillary. And we all know how he thinks of himself and, and all these kinds of things. I don't know, but it's, it sounds like, uh, I think it was Mark Halperin sort of broke the news that he has somebody very, very deep inside the situation who says it's going to be this weekend. I don't know how they're going to overcome a few of the hurdles there, like the $250 million that he has that he wants to transfer.
I don't know if you saw David Sachs debunked that last night on X.
Oh, I didn't see that.
Yeah. He debunked it and said that that actually came from Obama. Obama planted that information. So to me, what it says is there is a huge power struggle going on. That Joe Biden, Joe Biden doesn't want to give it up.
His ego won't let him and everybody else on the Democrat side. I mean, everybody. now. they want Joe Biden to step aside for the good of the country, they say. And I, you know, it would be amazing to be a fly on that wall.
Well, let me tell you, here's my little conspiracy theory that I heard somebody say, and I think this could be accurate is, um, one of the reasons, or the main reason, they want Biden gone is that he's doing so poorly in the polls, that he can't get the race close enough for them to be able to steal and make an excuse for it.
I saw that too.
They really want, they want somebody who can get within a point or two. If you can get within a point or two, they could do it. And, and everybody would believe it was conceivable.
Yeah.
However, if Biden came out and won on top, everybody'd be like, come on, this was stolen.
No way. It's not possible. So give me a grade on the RNC convention this week. You said Harold Ford jr. said it was the best he had ever been to.
And 30 of them. What about you? Are you positive?
Yeah. And Laura Ingram said the same thing. Everybody said, you know, the same thing. And I would say 10, I'd give a scale of one to 10 and give it a 10.. Um, you know, it wasn't perfect, but Hey, really thrilled with it.
The mood, the tone, the diversity of the speakers. I think we, we sent some really good, strong messages and there were a few bunker busters. The union president showing up, Amber Rose showing up, the woman who lost her, her son, just diverse group of people. you wouldn't expect to be speaking at a, at an RNC convention. that shows me that, that everybody said, Hey, we want to show the American public that we are a diverse party, that lots of people from different perspectives can agree on the agenda.
Um, I thought it was great. I mean, the only, the only downside tech, I'm going to give it a 9.98.. He's all these people wearing the little bandage on their ear. That was every time we saw it, we'd be like, come on. These people are weird.
Well, Hey, Chris, have a great weekend. Thank you for coming on and sharing what you thought about the RNC convention. Thank you.
Booker. I always loved being on with you. We appreciate you. Good friend. We're all co-warriors in this and, and, uh, you do a fantastic job.
Always excited.
