Just put him in charge and just sit back and watch. Trump said that at the Republican National Convention this week. He was speaking of Tom Homan. Just back from his RNC speech, Tom Homan joins us with his vision on border security and cleaning up the immigration crisis in America. And then Senator Ron Johnson calls out the bureaucrats.

00:29.22 – 00:57.44

We never get the truth out of our agencies. We caught them lying to us time and time again. Senator Johnson will join us on Viewpoint to talk about the RNC and his belief that the Secret Service Director, Kimberly Cheeto, should turn in her resignation at once. And then a huge story that shook the world on Friday, how a routine software update crashed the world's computers. Cyber security expert, Nate Kane, tells us what happened with CrowdStrike.

00:58.00 – 01:09.48

And finally, with calls of Trump being a dictator and threats of democracy, Chris Cordani will tell us where all this violence is really coming from. It's all next on Viewpoint this Sunday.

01:24.04 – 01:38.02

It is time to put away the bias, the lies and deceit and bring forth real talk from real people about real news, providing the outlound truth and capturing the essence of a new generation, all in a fast-paced hour.

01:40.84 – 01:43.74

This is Viewpoint this Sunday.

01:47.84 – 02:12.78

Welcome to the Weekend News magazine, Viewpoint this Sunday. It is Malcolm Outloud here. Well, as the confetti and the balloons are still being swept up from the RNC in Milwaukee, the news is coming quick, whether Biden stays or goes. And, of course, the result of the RNC, the enthusiasm that people have, surely Republicans love it. Democrats, not so much.

02:13.52 – 02:22.98

Big program ahead, friends. We'll start it off here with. Tom Homan joins us here. He's the former director of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, probably the future director as well.

02:23.08 – 02:34.32

But that's another story we'll get into. Tom, thank you. I know you're traveling back from the RNC and appreciate your commitment to join us here. Thank you, sir. Thanks for having me.

02:34.76 – 02:56.34

NBC News says, speaking about immigration and his plans to tighten border security, he referred to his former acting ICE chief, Tom Homan. Put him in charge and just sit back and watch, Trump said. So let's talk about this. First of all, let me get your opinion. What did you think of, well, you've been to all the conventions, what did you think of this one?

02:56.86 – 03:11.40

I thought this one, of all the conventions I've been to, this was, it was different. The mood was different. It wasn't just about winning the election. It wasn't just about winning the White House. It was about a transformation.

03:11.96 – 03:38.82

I think, I think this administration, the current administration, Biden administration has done so much damage. And while they're doing so much damage, you have a man who wants to come back and make America great again. And it's been more clear on his message than ever before. It's like, I have never seen a party so unified in my life. Everybody there, every person I ran into, they were 100% Trump.

03:39.28 – 03:58.24

It wasn't like the other, you know, past conventions, you know, Ted Cruz said, you know, up there saying we'll vote with your heart. There was none of that up there. Everybody up there wants, needs, supports President Trump as the only person that can fix this country. So it was great. It was a great week.

03:58.74 – 04:18.58

Well, at this point, I think that people know what they get with Trump. I mean, he puts it out there. He's surely one of the most exposed and authentic political figures of our lifetime. And so people know what comes with the package. And at this point, with everything that's transpired over the last couple of weeks, it seems to have changed the general mood in the country.

04:20.22 – 04:44.42

Now, when, when President says, put him in charge and just sit back and watch, what does he mean? Well, look, the president knows I'm close to the president. He knows I've been doing this since 1984.. I'm one of the few guys, you know, ever since this border crisis occurred in the Biden administration, you got a lot of talking heads out there that claim to be border experts. But the president knows I started in Border Patrol in 1984..

04:45.22 – 05:02.68

I climbed that ladder one rung at a time and became the first director of ICE that actually came up through the ranks. I know the border. I know immigration enforcement. And I've been with the president from day one. From the time he announced he was going to run, I met with him talking about what the Border Patrol needed, what we needed on the border, so we got a close relationship.

05:03.44 – 05:17.00

So, you know, he knows that I understand the issue. He knows I understand how to fix it. Because we did fix it mostly under his leadership. He knows I worked for six presidents and I've seen policies come. I've seen policies go.

05:17.38 – 05:33.70

I've seen policy that worked. I've seen policies that failed. We've had hundreds of conversations about immigration on the border. So he knows I'm involved in it. He knows that I'll drop everything, go back in a heartbeat if I help this country, because border security is national security.

05:33.92 – 05:57.36

If we don't have border security, you cannot possibly have strong national security. In your speech at the RNC, you said, I have a message for the millions of illegal aliens who, Joe Biden, allowed to enter the country in violation of federal law. Start packing because you're going home. And of course, the crowd was very enthusiastic and roared at that. They've seen the damage that's been done.

05:57.96 – 06:09.88

This is a Herculean job here, what we're talking about right now. How does it look? How would that happen? Any idea? Well, you know, there's a lot that goes into it.

06:09.92 – 06:24.22

And everybody asked me, you know, how many, you know, how many can you remove? You know, there's so many factors that this depends on. And I've explained this to the president. You know, so how many resources are we going to have? How many agents will ICE have?

06:24.78 – 06:46.98

How many, how many border agents will we have? How many, how many transportation contracts will we afford? How many, you know, bus contracts, air, air, airframe contract? How many detention beds will Congress allocate to us? Because people need to understand that you just don't arrest somebody and deport them that day, unless you're from Mexico and it's pretty easy that way.

06:47.04 – 07:02.76

But most people, you've got to detain them for, you know, several days to a week to get travel documents, get landing rights to their home countries. So you know, you've got to detain them. You've got to detain them for, you know, a few days, a week, maybe as many as, as much as two weeks. So we need detention beds. How many beds are you going to have?

07:03.20 – 07:37.64

Are we going to be able to contract with local jails and private corporations? There's a lot to bake into this, but the bottom line is, you know, do the same thing. we did on the Trump administration, the first Trump administration. You always prioritize national security threats and public safety threats first, regardless of, you know, everybody's, you know, the other ones who are legally need to go home, especially if it's an order removed by court, which you got to, you got to do with common sense. Public safety threats, national security threats have to go first, because they're a bigger threat to this country.

07:38.12 – 07:47.20

So it depends on the resources, but it's going to take, like, it's going to take a whole of government. It's going to take a lot more than ICE. It's going to take, it's going to take border patrol assistance, it's going to take U.S. Marshals assistance. It's going to take military.

07:47.66 – 08:16.06

And I'm, let me be clear on this, not military out there looking to arrest people, military helping us, you know, maybe use a military base to put soft-sided facilities to detain people, maybe helping with the transportation contracts and stuff like that. Only law enforcement officers, foreign Title VIII enforcement officers, will make arrests. But we could use, like, DOD's, been using, DOD's, been helping on the border for the last six presidents. So we'll need that. So it's going to be a whole, it has to be the whole of government, or we won't be successful.

08:16.36 – 08:34.50

There's going to be a lot of focus and attention on the border activities. The media is going to, you know what's going to happen. You're going to, I mean, you're, you are already being attacked and you haven't even got near the place yet. I mean, I see plenty of attack stories. and what have you about yourself as well.

08:34.96 – 08:52.56

This is going to be hot and people are going to be watching this. The media is going to do a lot of propaganda on it. They're going to start to get back to the kids in the fences, all of the hyperbole that was put out there throughout Trump. Remember, now, they've covered for the Biden administration for all these years now, they've been covering. for this.

08:53.14 – 09:14.40

They haven't reported. A lot of people in the country don't even know that we're under siege, that we're really being attacked ourselves here at the Southern border. That NBC News report I mentioned above here, Tom, I'd like to get a comment from you. They say Homan is involved with Project 2025, which Trump has disavowed. They're trying to tie the president to Project 2025..

09:15.06 – 09:34.00

Project 2025, of course, it was heritage, and they just don't like some of the objectives in there. They don't like some of the goals or what. have you. You have a comment about this, but what is the real damage of why they think Project 2025 is such a cancer? You see what they're trying to do here and tie you to it.

09:34.34 – 09:38.28

Oh, absolutely. First of all, Project 2025,. I am a senior fellow with Heritage.

09:39.84 – 09:42.32

How much effort did I give to 2025?

09:43.08 – 09:57.04

? None, zero. I wasn't involved with 2025 at all because I've been so busy on other projects with Heritage. So I wasn't involved with 2025.. But as far as the immigration portion of 2025, I agree with a lot of what I'm reading.

09:57.30 – 10:03.32

People do call and ask me questions about what I think about this, what I think about that as part of 2025.

10:03.64 – 10:25.64

. But I wasn't involved in writing or participating in 2025, but I've read it and I agree with a lot of it. Look, every administration does this. This is how they mislead the American people. Every administration comes in with a plan, a blueprint, by people that say, hey, this is the way we think the next administration should handle the economy.

10:25.82 – 10:38.00

Here's how they should handle the border. Here's how they should handle defense. Every administration does it. But all of a sudden, because Trump does it, all of a sudden, it's a bad thing. So I have not read the 2025..

10:38.34 – 10:48.08

I've read portions of the border immigration issues. So, first of all, Tom Holman didn't write. I've seen the reports. I'm the author of 2025.. These guys are crazy.

10:48.18 – 10:59.58

I am not the author. I have very, very little to do other than answering a few questions. But look, you said it exactly right. They're going to try to vilify us and vilify what we're doing. You know, they're talking about.

10:59.58 – 11:11.18

they're going to bring up my name and family separation. They want to talk about how we put parents in jail and the kids can't go to jail. So there's separation. But you notice? they don't mention 450,000 children smuggled into this country under the Biden administration.

11:11.64 – 11:27.02

Do you notice? they don't mention 100,000 children that they can't find, that they released the sponsors and now they can't find? You know, if none of that comes up, it's just your typical, you know, dirty politics. And I've said this many times, they can say what they want about me. I don't care.

11:27.08 – 11:33.42

I don't care what they think about me. I know who I am. I know what I've done for this country. I know what I can do for this country. So come at me.

11:33.84 – 11:43.00

I actually take pleasure that I can live in their minds, rent free every day. Well, you're doing that for sure. I mean, there's no doubt. I can see the reports. I'm sure you've seen the one in Huffington Post.

11:43.16 – 11:47.98

He went to a white supremacist conference. He just spoke at the RNC. You've seen that one, didn't you?

1Speaker 1
11:48.58 – 11:49.18

Oh, yeah. Yeah.

2Speaker 2
11:49.70 – 12:16.34

And Huffington Post, they're using race bait in conversation, which has been really what they did throughout the Trump years. A lot of this really put Trump in, well, when Biden came out, what was it? I think, just about two weeks ago, Tom, and said about putting him in the bullseye. And then we see what happened there in Butler, Pennsylvania, which we'll be talking about just ahead with the senator here. But this thing is blowing up right now, pretty bad.

12:16.44 – 12:40.04

But a lot of this is because of these incendiary comments and things they use as a dictator in charge and a threat to democracy and things like this. It's going to get pretty ugly, you know. And immigration is going to be at the center of this storm. And this is going to be one of the most racist, vile episodes, I think, coming up in our country. I have a feeling that's what it's going to look like.

12:40.10 – 12:56.36

What do you think about that? I agree 100 percent. And I can guarantee you, if I go back and do run this thing for the president, I'll have a protective detail. I mean, I've always said immigration enforcement is very controversial, very emotional. It is.

12:56.44 – 13:10.38

I've done this for 35 years. It is. Yeah. But the bottom line is, I'll say it again, illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. And people need to understand, when you cause a crisis this big, as the Biden administration did, it's just not about illegal immigration anymore.

13:10.70 – 13:29.26

When you overwhelm the border patrol when they're dealing with a huge humanitarian crisis, that's when the fentanyl comes across and kills 150,000 Americans. That's when the non-spectator sneak in. That's when the sex trafficking of women and children happens. So illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. We have to address it, regardless of how emotionally charging it is.

13:29.32 – 13:41.14

It has to be done. We have the right to be a sovereign nation. We have the right to enforce our borders. We have the right to know who and what's coming into this country. And we're going to do it, regardless of the hate they want to throw out there.

13:41.40 – 14:03.84

It has to be done. It's a matter of national security. You know, the other thing we talked about last time you and I talked was the real serious threat. The last point to make here, Tom, is with the terrorist aspect and the border crosses and problems. And we talked about the fact that we thought something could very well happen between now and November, and surely January 25 in that period of time.

14:04.66 – 14:39.40

Any sense or feeling that has anything changed in that way, from the last time we talked about two months ago to now, you know, clarifying these next six months that are so, so important? Look, I know that they've arrested, what, 381 people on terrorist watch lists coming across the border. I also know we got two million gotaways. I also know they've arrested people from 181 different countries, and some of these countries sponsor terror. If people think not a single one, that two million gotaway didn't come here to do something bad to this country, but that just, they're just ignorant.

14:40.08 – 14:54.66

There's a, this is a big national security issue. Luckily, we found eight, eight that were planning a terrorist event. The intelligence community caught them, but here's my concern. The intelligence community has proven to us they're not perfect. They miss things.

14:54.66 – 15:00.58

They miss, they miss January 6th, they miss, they miss, they miss 9-11.

15:01.00 – 15:18.64

. They miss Afghanistan, you know, weapons of mass destruction. So they miss a lot of things. So, you know, I'm glad we got these eight, but I am convinced doing this for three decades, there are sleeper cells here waiting to make a move. And it's this open border is the reason why many of them got into this country.

15:19.26 – 15:29.64

Afghanistan has released thousands of people from their prisons since we left. Thousands of people whose sole goal in life is to destroy this country.

15:31.38 – 15:56.36

So that's, every speech I give, I tell them the most important thing about this whole border security mess, the fentanyl series, the sex trafficking series, it's the national security aspect that scares me the most. Yeah. This topic is going to be hot and heavy over the next administration because there's going to be, Tom, there's going to be a price to pay for all of this damage that's been done. This just doesn't slip away in the dead of night. It's got to come back to haunt America.

15:56.60 – 16:12.46

And all Americans are going to see, I think, the real impact of this thing. Listen, thank you for jumping. I know you're traveling back and all, and so appreciate your getting on here with us and starting us off here. Thank you, Tom. All right.

16:12.48 – 16:22.08

Thank you, sir. OK. That is Tom Homan. And also check him out on the site there. His foundation that he's doing is just remarkable there.

16:22.46 – 16:24.46

And I'm speaking of the Border911.

16:24.46 – 16:42.10

com as a 501c3, a stellar group of folks he has there trying to make change. And of course, his website, HomelandStrategic.com is another place to check Tom Homan out there. All right. Also, fresh back from the RNC is Senator Ron Johnson. He joins us right now.

16:42.70 – 17:03.14

Senator Johnson is the rank and member of the Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Also serves on the Budget, Foreign Relations and Commerce, Science and Transportation Committees. He was chairman of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee from 2015 to 2021.. Just fresh back from the RNC. And let's start here, Senator Johnson.

17:03.30 – 17:04.10

I'd like to.

17:04.10 – 17:14.10

. So you've been to a lot of conventions. You've seen this one. I've heard a lot of different reports on it, and from some of our guests today who were there as well. Tell us what you thought of this particular one.

17:14.16 – 17:15.70

What stood out that was different about it?

1Speaker 1
17:15.70 – 17:42.20

Well, for me, it was in my home state. So I was here from start to finish, which I've never done that before. But I don't think I've ever seen or sensed or felt the Republican Party being more unified. I think, obviously, we're pretty unified because Democrat policies and their agenda are destroying this country. That's a pretty unifying force.

17:42.20 – 18:09.72

We think these folks have to be defeated. Certainly, after the disastrous debate, I think Republicans realize we can't allow Joe Biden to be president any longer. He needs to be defeated. That helps unify us. Then, of course, the tragic events of Saturday, where President Trump narrowly being assassinated, but an American hero died protecting his family, two other people grievously wounded.

18:10.68 – 18:28.22

After that tragedy, that just completed the unification of the Republican Party. So there was a, let's put it this way, I think a real sense of mission. It was a great convention. I truly appreciate, I'll even say thank you to the protesters. The few that showed up, they did, by and large, keep it peaceful.

18:28.38 – 18:37.38

There was just kind of one area where they didn't let the delegates in for a short period of time. But we just really didn't, we dealt with, there was just not much.

2Speaker 2
18:37.38 – 18:56.98

Let me ask you this. You've known Donald Trump now for many years. You've seen all of the factions that have happened around him. What was different? Can you tell us or share with us, did you detect any difference in his being right up front and personal there and his demeanor and his approach?

18:57.78 – 19:00.12

What kind of vibe did you get? Anything different?

1Speaker 1
19:00.58 – 19:15.86

I'd say more sober. But again, just ask you, or your listeners, I mean, if you had narrowly escaped death, if you've seen the graphics, where had you not turned your head to look up, by the way, my chart, that's the one I gave him in April on the way to the Green Bay Rally.

2Speaker 2
19:16.06 – 19:16.66

I've seen that.

1Speaker 1
19:17.08 – 19:45.30

You wouldn't be here. If you were part of an event where an American hero lost his life, others previously wounded, your life would be changed. You'd have to understand, call it serendipity, call it God works in mysterious ways, divine intervention, call it whatever you will. Any person in that situation would realize, man, I got a new lease on life. Maybe I'm here for a reason.

19:45.50 – 20:09.88

Maybe I'm here to do something. Any of us would experience that. I think somebody who's already been president of the United States was willing to subject himself to the vilification. I don't think President Trump could have ever anticipated how much the Biden administration has been weaponized against him personally. He knew he'd be risking his life, but he did it anyway.

20:10.36 – 20:35.24

He did it because he loves his country. And now that his life has been spared and he's got this opportunity, my guess is he is just orders of magnitude more committed to completing the mission, trying to save this country and make America great again. I know the left denigrates that slogan, but it's more of a mission. It's what we want to do. We want to make America great again.

20:35.76 – 20:44.12

It is going down the path of destruction. It should be our solemn duty to preserve and save this marvel.

2Speaker 2
20:44.72 – 20:48.18

It's hard to find the downside of making America great, isn't it?

1Speaker 1
20:48.80 – 20:56.90

Well, the left has, and of course they do it by, they don't say make America great again. They go MAGA. Nobody's ever heard of MAGA.

20:58.42 – 21:08.66

So they turn that into a term of derision, when really it's a mission statement of what we all ought to want, what we all should want.

2Speaker 2
21:08.78 – 21:22.92

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I often wonder, you know, if he knew then what he knows now before that escalator ride, if he would have taken the journey knowing how much he's given up in his life, and that's a hard question to ask. I mean, now he's all in.

21:22.92 – 21:35.26

He's got to be all in because they've come after him in big ways. He is a man of the moment, isn't he? There's something about him that makes him totally different as a leader. You agree with that?

1Speaker 1
21:36.02 – 21:51.72

Well, first of all, Donald Trump is a completely unique individual. You know, there's just never been anybody like Donald Trump, certainly not in politics. So he's a unique specimen. But you're asking me, knowing what he knows now, would he do it again? He's still doing it.

21:51.72 – 22:01.26

I know. I mean, he got shot and he gets up and he lets the crowd know, I'm OK, I'm OK. Come on, you guys. We got to fight. We got to keep fighting.

22:01.64 – 22:24.00

So, no, I would say, you know, absolutely. I mean, going into this thing, had he known, his family probably would have tried to talk him out of it. But again, I try and convey to people just how much Donald Trump loves his country and also the people that go to those rallies. I told my Senate colleagues one time, there's a lot of them, they're in red states and they don't get rallies. I've gone to a lot of his rallies.

22:24.22 – 22:44.02

I asked my colleagues one time, you know, you know the one attribute that every one of those individuals that go to those rallies, and they come from all kinds of diverse backgrounds, OK, the one attribute they all have in common is that they fervently love this country. We love law enforcement. We are law abiding citizens. We want to make America great again.

2Speaker 2
22:44.02 – 22:54.96

Well, in many ways, he's made the Republican Party, the working man's party. now, back to the grand old boobah that it was years ago. He changed all that, didn't he?

1Speaker 1
22:55.54 – 23:01.54

Absolutely. And I think there already was a shift, primarily because the Democrats abandoned.

2Speaker 2
23:01.92 – 23:04.66

Well, they became the party of the elite. The elite. Yeah.

1Speaker 1
23:05.16 – 23:24.66

Yeah. The elite and wokeism. So now they're far more concerned about making sure that biological males can compete against our girls and then take showers in their locker rooms. You know, they're just far more concerned about critical race theory and identity politics. I mean, it's, that's what I say, that the ideology and policies of the left are literally destroying.

2Speaker 2
23:24.82 – 23:32.12

Well, I want to ask you something that was going to be in your speech. I've seen multiple reports that they loaded the wrong speech in the teleprompter. Is that true?

1Speaker 1
23:32.76 – 23:52.08

Yeah. It was largely the same speech. But, you know, after Saturday, I had an opening paragraph that said, quote it, you know, we are meeting in a sober moment of history. I hope everyone heeds President Trump's call for unity, strength and determination. We must heal and unify this nation.

23:52.20 – 24:13.96

So I was going to add that paragraph. And we were just going to take out the whole clear and present danger line. But what I said was Democrat ideology or no, the Democrat agenda and policies are a clear and present danger to America. And you know, I went on PBS afterwards and they said, well, Senator, you said Democrats are a clear and present danger. No, I didn't say that.

2Speaker 2
24:14.38 – 24:14.82

OK. I've seen that.

1Speaker 1
24:14.96 – 24:25.60

I've seen that. It gives a little inside information. You know, they literally did load an earlier draft. They didn't get the latest draft into that. And again, you're working off teleprompters.

24:25.68 – 24:36.42

So you go, how do you, how do you skip something, keep the teleprompter going? So you're kind of in a quandary. By the way, I never. I never use teleprompters for speeches. I just do it extemporaneous.

24:36.68 – 24:41.78

Exactly. For a convention like this, you have to, you know, discipline everybody and keep them on teleprompter.

2Speaker 2
24:41.86 – 25:08.98

Let me let me jump in now to the. I want to talk about the event itself. You see these reports from Senator Josh Hawley. It's quite something that broke on our network Friday. The whistleblowers have come to him, have come forward, and they are saying that the DHS assigned to Trump's detail in Butler, Pennsylvania, that they were unprepared and inexperienced personnel, that they were actually brought in from Homeland Security investigations.

25:09.30 – 25:23.22

They weren't really the so-called, quote, quote, secret service. Many of them were not. that it was some sort of a ragtag, I don't know, kind of army by words there. But what do you make of that? That's a significant report, as well as many other reports coming out.

25:23.28 – 25:24.32

What do you think about all this?

1Speaker 1
25:25.02 – 25:40.56

Well, first of all, I don't doubt it. We are having whistleblowers come to my office as well. And I would encourage anybody who does want to come forward to. we need more information. Let me put it that way.

25:40.78 – 26:06.18

OK, there is no doubt. there's a lot of information out there in the public and we need whistleblowers coming from the agencies. I wish I could, but I don't trust the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Secret Service, to doing a a truthful investigation. I just don't trust them. And I hate to say that I wish it were.

26:06.18 – 26:09.36

I wish it weren't true. But I fear it is.

2Speaker 2
26:09.74 – 26:19.36

Well, you're saying that from past history, events that have happened where they haven't been truthful and they've held things back. So, no, it's a given Americans. see what you're saying, Senator.

1Speaker 1
26:19.60 – 26:32.88

So what I'd like to do is give out my email. It's a whistleblower underscore PSI Johnson at Hisgack dot. Senate dot. gov. And Hisgack is Homeland Security Government Affairs Committee.

26:33.02 – 26:45.80

So whistleblower underscore PSI Johnson at Hisgack dot. Senate dot. gov. You can also just go on to the Hisgack site, go into PSI, which is the Permanent Subcommittee Investigation.

2Speaker 2
26:46.10 – 26:50.34

We'll put the links in the post when this goes to podcast for listeners as well.

1Speaker 1
26:50.34 – 27:07.38

Yeah. And if you, if you've got, for example, audio and video and if you're being contacted by federal agencies, you know, go ahead and cooperate, but make sure you make a copy of any video or audio that you're turning over to federal officials or local to make sure you preserve the evidence.

2Speaker 2
27:07.72 – 27:41.42

So the sense now is, without getting into a lot of details, because there's so many we don't know. The first thing is this void of really leadership coming out of these organizations. There's been no real leadership to come out from the Secret Service, the FBI, Department of Justice, no big conversations, meetings, things you would normally have, press conferences to the point where leadership conveys a certain message that was totally lacking in this case. Lacking of that, people are going to talk. All that vacuum is going to be filled.

27:41.86 – 27:42.68

Isn't that the problem?

1Speaker 1
27:43.40 – 27:53.32

Yeah. You know, we had the Senate briefing on Wednesday. It was infuriating. The director comes on and admit there were mistakes and gaffes. Yeah.

27:53.48 – 28:13.06

Yeah. I mean, mistakes and gaffes that almost had a former president, our presidential candidate, assassinated. As I said, an American hero killed and two other wounded. No, there's a lot more than mistakes and gaffes. None of this went through the standard old bureaucratic gobbledygook about their security perimeters and really gave us no information.

28:13.54 – 28:21.64

And then we're supposed to be able to ask questions. Only four senators got to ask questions. I've seen that. Senator Cornyn asked the best one. When did you first learn of this threat?

28:21.74 – 28:24.06

And that's where we found out. it was more than an hour before.

2Speaker 2
28:24.54 – 28:25.60

Unbelievable. Unbelievable.

1Speaker 1
28:25.88 – 28:27.48

So they knew about a threat.

2Speaker 2
28:27.52 – 28:28.76

And they still let him on stage.

1Speaker 1
28:29.02 – 28:40.60

They'll let him on stage. And again, there's going to be more details that have to come out. But they're hiding it. Talking about conspiracy theories. And they're all concerned about, you know, we can't let these conspiracy theories flourish.

28:41.00 – 28:54.74

Well, then, give us the information. I mean, there's. there's information out there that the sniper, the FBI snipers or C-Service snipers had them in the site. There's information that said, they requested permission to take him out and wasn't granted. I don't know if that's true.

28:55.22 – 29:13.44

Address it. OK. Address these rumors that apparently Jill Biden took, you know, deep C-Service personnel off of Trump's. You know, the Trump's detail was just all so fatigued that they had to have these HSI personnel. What's the truth?

29:13.62 – 29:22.00

It's a week. It's been a week. Why do we have this information? So if you don't want conspiracy theories, start telling the American people the truth. Yeah, I don't.

2Speaker 2
29:22.14 – 29:33.18

I'm not going to hold my breath. That's the problem right there. What we both say in that case. But we have a feeling that this isn't going to. when the information does come out, it's not going to end.

29:33.18 – 29:47.78

well. There's a lot of speculation here, but there's a lot of evidence that things are not on the up and up somewhere. I, without, you know, that putting properly, I don't want to put, you know, mistruths out there. I don't really know what's going on. There's a lot of conversation.

29:47.78 – 30:01.02

fill in that space, though. I can see that with these transmitters that are around the world, there's clouds, information who's involved, who's not involved. And of course, the guy is dead now. So we'll never really know. But unbelievable.

1Speaker 1
30:01.52 – 30:05.76

All of this is that kind of amazing about almost all these assassinations is the,

30:09.24 – 30:33.46

you know, so, again, it's, it's it's understanding, or it's understandable how conspiracies spread. That's because we never get the truth out of our agencies. We've caught them lying to us time and time and time again, certainly withholding information from the public. The information on the Kennedy assassination still has been released. Yeah, yeah.

30:33.52 – 30:40.76

My guess is, and I hope, if President Trump gets into office, it'll be the first thing he does in office is release all the information.

2Speaker 2
30:41.02 – 30:43.86

Do you think Kimberly Cheadle should resign or will she?

1Speaker 1
30:44.56 – 30:57.22

She should have quit already. She should have turned in her resignation. But she needs to be completely available for transcribed interviews under oath. She has an awful lot to account for.

2Speaker 2
30:57.30 – 31:00.22

You know, she was subpoenaed, right? Monday, right? Monday, Tuesday, she'll be in.

1Speaker 1
31:00.50 – 31:16.28

Yeah. Yeah. Well, one of the rumors is that her primary emphasis and, by the way, this makes all the sense in the world to me because we've seen it throughout every department. You know, the big emphasis in the Biden administration isn't necessarily the mission of the agency of departments. It's all about DEI.

31:16.62 – 31:31.50

It's all about equity, making sure we have enough, you know, fill in the blank type of human being employed by the agency. And not, not, you know, Director Cheadle, your primary responsibility is to make sure that your protectees are protected and remain alive.

2Speaker 2
31:31.96 – 31:42.02

Right, right. And at this point, she's looking to hire a lot more people based on that DEI principle. I mean, we got reports on the network on America Out Loud. all about that. Let's move over to Biden in a moment.

31:42.14 – 31:54.60

I want to get your opinion on the president here. But he says at this point he's refusing to step aside. That could change. He says he's going to his campaign, he's going to return to the campaign trail. But there's a bigger story here.

31:54.64 – 32:24.22

I want to get your opinion on what you think about this. But also, I've seen reports and you've probably seen this as well, the New York Times saying that the advisers say that Biden, that he doesn't want to drop out and give Netanyahu, this is the prime minister of Israel. now, as the Times puts it, the satisfaction. The two leaders are on shaky terms over the Israel-Gaza war. The media may have already been a problem for Biden, regardless of the domestic political wins he faces.

32:25.36 – 32:39.32

This is really blaring up. In fact, the Times of Israel has reported that Biden won't give Netanyahu satisfaction of quitting before a prime minister's trip to D.C. What do you make of this? And Biden himself, what's going to happen?

1Speaker 1
32:39.94 – 32:53.34

Yeah, who knows? You know, he obviously was unfit for office before he was ever elected. Every day that's gone by, we've seen him physically and mentally deteriorate. The media covered up for him. The Democrats covered up for him.

32:53.38 – 33:02.34

Now they're shocked. But, you know, they did their sham primary. He has all the. he's got all the votes to be nominated. If he wants to stay, I don't know how they push him out.

33:02.82 – 33:17.94

Drawn to the golden ring for power. I mean, Biden, Dr. Jill Biden, I'm sure they enjoy the power. And I'm sure Hunter would kind of like his dad there to, if not pardon, at least commute a sentence. So they've got a lot of incentive to stay there, apparently.

33:18.68 – 33:29.20

But, you know, it's amazing how the media turned on Biden, you know, unanimously. a second after that debate. I don't know who flips that switch in the media, but, you know.

2Speaker 2
33:29.48 – 33:43.22

Well, the worst part about it is they supported him fully when everybody knew the country knew he wasn't up to the challenge and they denied it. They all denied it and kept him in there. Now, reports are. you see? they're putting this AP North poll out.

33:43.84 – 33:59.24

The question was asked who Democrats think Kamala Harris would make a good president. She, of course, had lower ratings than Biden had, believe it or not. And this poll, now get a load of this. This is the latest one out. Fifty eight percent of Democrats said they believe Harris would make a good president.

33:59.74 – 34:01.26

Where were these people two months ago?

1Speaker 1
34:01.84 – 34:33.06

Well, I can assure you that if she does replace him top of the ticket, the media will crown her the new messiah. And you are going to start hearing such glowing stories about what a brilliant leader and what a brilliant person and phenomenal leader she is, and how she can almost part the Red Sea. So, no, it'll be galling. It'll make you want to puke. But it will be a real challenge for the Trump campaign, because you'll be up against the media, as we're always up against the media.

34:33.68 – 34:36.16

It's not. it's not a level playing field. It's not a fair fight.

2Speaker 2
34:36.82 – 34:57.54

Well, you know, you say that and I think listeners would agree with you. However, I see a report with USA Today just recently. here and many others. Biden rallies the chance of don't you quit, attacks, press for giving Trump a free pass. He's actually out there saying on the campaign in hands over the past 10 days that Trump has got to pass.

34:57.80 – 35:01.04

When that, when is Trump ever going to pass? from the media? I don't really get that.

1Speaker 1
35:01.30 – 35:12.96

Well, maybe for about a half hour after they tried assassinating him. That's about it. So, no, I mean, Malcolm, it's absurd. I don't know what kind of bubble they live in. I don't know.

35:13.04 – 35:17.94

They understand this about themselves. It's obvious to us and it's galling to us.

2Speaker 2
35:17.94 – 35:36.08

Yeah, yeah. This is going to be quite a chapter coming up here, Senator, in these next few months, here with the campaign and all. Give you the last word here. I'd love to hear you talk to listeners. as far as what do you, what's your sense, you're feeling and these next many months as we get here between now and November, and we'll talk before then.

35:36.12 – 35:36.74

But what do you think?

1Speaker 1
35:37.24 – 36:03.90

Well, we don't know how this is all going to turn out. What we do know for sure is, no matter who Democrats may run, they are all committed to the same destructive agenda, the same destructive ideology, the same destructive policies that have been pursued by, you know, first Obama and now Biden. So don't be fooled. Don't be fooled by the left wing media. America's in peril.

36:04.86 – 36:23.68

And Donald J. Trump was spared for whatever reason, you know, call it divine information or serendipity, regardless. I think he is a man on a mission and we know exactly what his mission is. To make America great again. What, what could be a better mission for that, as you know, for a president of the United States?

36:23.86 – 36:37.24

And that's what every leader of every nation ought to do is put their nation first. It's not a bad. that's not a bad thing. It's a good thing. And if every leader put their nation and their people first, this will be a far better and more peaceful place.

36:37.64 – 36:52.34

So ignore, ignore the mainstream media. Listen to people like Malcolm and alternate media where you can. you still can get the truth, but you have to search for it. But everybody recognizes what's happening in this country. Don't sit on the sidelines.

36:52.46 – 37:03.88

Talk to every family member, friend, neighbor, you have. Get them to go out and vote for Republicans. We're not perfect, but we are orders of magnitude better than Democrats who are destroying this country.

2Speaker 2
37:04.14 – 37:18.52

It is the rise of independent media, Senator. There's no doubt about it. The mainstream media, the fourth estate, has not done a good job. That's what drove me into this eight and a half years ago, right at the apex of the Obama administration. And here we are today.

37:18.78 – 37:33.12

We're doing some heavy lifting back at America, out loud news. And it's we're like a rocket ship right now. People that are seeking truth. I call it the out loud truth. So I always appreciate your take on things.

42:50.46 – 43:11.90

We join you back on Viewpoint this Sunday and a privilege to be with you always, my fellow Americans, thank you for joining us on the broadcast. Now, you've seen this massive story I woke up to the other day and I'll tell you, I had a bit of a panic attack when I started to see it. I think of that, oh, my golly, how did that hit the network? What are we looking at with our servers? What's it going to look like?

43:11.90 – 43:24.84

What's happened with our radio signal? What's it? You know, all these things come into my mind. And then I see it was, you know, Microsoft and CrowdStrike. And I had a little bit of relief because I don't really use them or like them very much.

43:24.98 – 43:40.56

But then I realized, well, but some of my servers are Windows servers. So I better be careful with that. Anyway, it just was not right there. I talk about this CrowdStrike deal and what took place. Nate Kane joins me right now for the first time on the broadcast here.

43:40.62 – 43:58.10

I'm happy to have him. He's a military veteran and an expert in cybersecurity. for over 26 years. He's worked extensively on things like election integrity and has been called an expert witness and cyber forensic investigator by the White House. And Nate is also a new host on the network.

43:58.22 – 44:10.16

I'll tell you about just a bit here on Lease the Political News Hour. Also joining me here is another great guy. Chris Cordani is here. And now Chris is interesting. He creates content for radio shows, podcasts, books, interviews.

44:10.16 – 44:25.16

He's a producer of all of this. Does marvelous work. Also a host of Unleash the Political News Hour. So we'll have a chance to talk about that a little bit as well. Nate, this was a routine software update, supposedly, across the world's computers.

44:25.40 – 44:52.48

It was heard everywhere. And everybody thought immediately it was like ransomware or some sort of a cyber threat, because it's a real threat out there today, this kind of a thing. And it was a meltdown, a global meltdown that impacted so many things in the banks and airports and stock exchanges, businesses around the world. What do you make of it? Well, you know, my background primarily, has been in vulnerability management.

44:53.22 – 45:16.86

And what was really amazing about this whole thing that I have not heard a lot of people talk about is that these kinds of patches don't get pushed out without going through rigorous testing. This company has a market cap of about 74 billion dollars. They don't. they can't afford to have something like this happen. I mean, this could destroy their company because the number of lawsuits that are likely going to occur.

45:17.12 – 45:31.38

You had hospitals that were shut down. You had airlines that were shut down. Of course, you know, federal government agencies. I happen to have a contract with a federal government agency. And I can tell you, I woke up Friday morning and I could not log in.

45:31.38 – 46:00.04

So I contacted help desk and that's when they said, hey, have you looked at the news? I'm still not back up, so it won't be up until probably sometime Monday. Now, the fix itself is not a very difficult fix. But the problem is, is that in the highly distributed system, you have to go on to each individual system to make the change. And because of government systems in particular being so locked down for cybersecurity reasons, it's not like I can just log in in safe mode and go make the changes.

46:00.46 – 46:21.12

No, a tech has to call. You know, it's basically has to get into my system, provide the BitLocker key, and then we can go do that. So you're talking millions of people that these tech guys are going to have to go and clean this up. So it's a pretty significant flaw. And what was interesting was the CEO came out and said, oh, this was not a cyber attack.

46:21.14 – 46:29.36

This was not a cyber incident. I beg to differ. This, without a doubt, was a cyber incident. Now, was it an intentional attack? Probably not.

46:29.52 – 46:54.76

Although, I would say, because of the fact that these have to go through rigorous testing, I would say that the likelihood is, is that this was either major negligence on the part of CrowdStrike, or this could have been an inside job with somebody who is like a disgruntled employee. So you're still holding out that there could be something more to the story than yourself. Oh, I absolutely think there's more to this. Well, here's what's ironic. CrowdStrike, you know, just so.

46:54.76 – 47:21.20

everybody knows, because a lot of people never heard the name before, probably, but it's one of the biggest makers of, it's ironic because they're biggest makers of cyber security software. And this whole flawed update that was pushed out, it does seem a bit like the Keystone Cops on this thing, Nate, when you think about what the hell they do. So you think we'll ever get to the bottom of it? Well, the timing is interesting. You know, there's some other things, too.

47:21.40 – 48:01.02

You know, a lot of people may not remember, but CrowdStrike was at the center of the DNC hack. You know, this was after the 2016 election, when the DNC had been hacked and there were claims that Russia had hacked the DNC. That was proven wrong by Bill Binney and the VIPs team. And but yet it was all of the media attention to that in CrowdStrike's contract with the DNC that gave them the, you know, basically all of the publicity that helped them to become this multibillion dollar company. This showed a major security weakness in that when we have these companies, you know.

48:01.30 – 48:20.10

Well, hold that thought here. Chris, what's your thoughts on this, this entire chaos here that resulted from this? You look at this, Microsoft, the same week released, gave the pink slip to its DEI department. And there are still a lot of DEI radicals among the tech industry.

48:21.90 – 48:51.04

Then, coincidentally, there might be something that this could have something to do with, that only because it was Microsoft Windows software that was offended by this update. Again, center of another controversy, center of this one as far as CyberStrike's concerned. I might be thinking a little bit into this, but there's always more to the story when it comes to something, especially when you see something like this on the surface. Yeah, yeah. Well, you both said that, but I got to tell you what, this has not been a good week for DEI, when you consider what's going on with Kimberly Cheadle, the director there.

48:51.46 – 49:07.94

Not a good week at all. And people are starting to see that you just really have to get the best people for the job, whoever they are, whatever gender or color they are, is irrelevant. As long as they're the best cat for the job, they should get the job. Well, that is the proper way. Nate, to wrap this up, is?

49:07.94 – 49:41.18

I want to get to another big story with you guys. I this fear of you because you, cyber security, is your backdrop. Are we over speaking by this general concern that some of us have, especially with all the threats facing our country right now, the challenges to our electrical grid, the challenges to our utilities, the challenges to our way of life and that, you know, our enemies are far more advanced in attacking us. When I say that, I mean, they. they certainly have done a lot of homework here and they know where our vulnerabilities are.

49:41.52 – 50:03.12

What kind of threats are we talking about? Is that a concern to you? It's a huge concern. I was part of a cyber protection team assigned by Marfor Cyber 2 NSA, and I'm very well knowledgeable about this and trained in this. And the problem is, is that our national critical infrastructure, most of it is what they call SCADA or industrial control systems.

50:03.36 – 50:26.68

And it was built oftentimes without security in mind, because it was never intended to be connected to the Internet. Well, now they've connected everything to the Internet and it puts a lot of this at risk, including our water supply. You know, there's a lot of power plants, water plants, water treatment plants that have been hacked. You've got municipalities being hacked to get school systems being hacked. You've got hospitals being hacked.

50:26.78 – 50:46.46

It's it is everywhere. And the problem is, is that defending against hackers is much more difficult than it is to be the hacker. It only takes one guy knocking on the door a thousand times. But it takes a team of people to identify with all the noise, you know, what's going on. Yeah, I mean, that's a really viable point.

50:46.60 – 50:53.02

And so it really says that it's a wonder. we haven't had a more serious strike, even at this point, with what you say right there.

50:54.78 – 51:05.76

But we're not doing enough. from everybody, I talk to, Nate. We're not doing enough in this area to secure our safety. This is something I want to talk about more in the future with you, Nate. This is a big deal.

51:05.76 – 51:30.86

It is really one of the things that I am deeply concerned with for our country and for our people. And the ramifications of something happen in massive, in a massive sweep, it would bring us to our knees. Chris, you hear just a terrific piece, an article on the network, the platform, the ranchers. It got a lot of eyeballs. It was titled Threat to Democracy.

51:31.72 – 51:50.00

He must be stopped. Eliminated. The American left is the party of violence. And what I liked about it is you got into case in point and you talked about the fact. when they talk about these kinds of words, they use, like he's a threat to democracy and he must be stopped.

51:50.06 – 52:02.38

He cannot be president. It's a threat to our nation. President just came out the other day saying that as well. So it's a pretty constant thing that they're doing here. I think it's right to point that out.

52:02.86 – 52:34.26

Tell us about what, as you look at everything that's happened over the last week with the assassination attempt, Chris, you see the RNC convention. Put that into context now for the American people. Well, what we're seeing is the Democrat Party has for a long time, especially since the 2016 election, when a certain person didn't get her term. The idea was you have to hammer the man who infiltrated the deep state. So in the beginning, you had people from the Democrat Party saying, don't call him by his name.

52:34.38 – 52:35.56

Call him number 45.

52:35.72 – 52:56.82

. He had Maxine Waters saying, harass people in restaurants for working with Trump or supporting Trump. Don't let these people have peace. Nowadays, you're hearing of a sitting president, a man in the Oval Office, telling you that half the nation are a threat to democracy. The man who is running against him is going to end democracy as we know it.

52:56.82 – 53:15.20

The last election, and as Ron Goldman said on national television, he must be eliminated. Yet with all the language they use, it's always, well, Donald Trump and his MAGA people are inciting violence. The things they say are horrible. Who incites the violence? They're telling?

53:15.20 – 53:26.28

they're telling Americans somebody is going to take away your right to vote, all your rights. They're going to be a threat to democracy. They must be stopped at any cost. Somebody is going to act upon that. But that's what.

53:26.28 – 53:52.12

that's what they've been saying about us for several years and things that Donald Trump said, which have, by the way, been untrue. Nate, a lot of this was behind when we talk about this. And we still there's so much we don't know about the assassination attempt, as we've talked up front of the program. And, you know, with the immigration laws, we had Tom Homan on talking about the immigration problems in the country. And of course, Trump has said he's going to appoint him again as director.

53:52.12 – 54:10.12

So watch out as they start to try to clean that up. But this story of where the left goes and projectionism seems to be their game. What they talk about and yell is the little boy who cries wolf. They're always doing that. Yet they're the ones who seem to propagate all this nonsense here.

54:11.34 – 54:53.34

There's, that's the real war that's happening here in our country. Speak about that a moment. I think the story I did last week, I did a an expose of breaking down all the comments from the left calling for Trump's assassination or calling him, you know, a Nazi or or Hitler, you know, a dictator. And what was surprising is I broke it down by industry and every industry, you know, whether it was the media, whether it was Hollywood, whether it was academic professors. And that was the one that was shocking to me, because the comments that were made by academics and by professors at universities that are teaching our kids, those were the most vile of all.

54:53.34 – 55:14.78

ones that, you know, called directly, called for Trump's assassination or called for his decapitation. I mean, these are university professors, being oftentimes paid for by our tax dollars. And yet these guys are the ones who are propagating a lot of this. So I think there needs to be a hard look into our universities. There's not a whole lot that we can do about Hollywood.

55:15.00 – 55:30.34

I mean, you know, honestly, it's. it's a shame that they get as much attention as they do. You know, these are not the brightest people in the world. They just happen to be good at acting. But but for university professors who are informing the minds of young people, it absolutely is a problem.

55:30.38 – 55:42.18

And it should be looked at because they are propagating, you know, really, communist rhetoric. Oftentimes I have to wonder where a lot of this is coming from. Is this coming from our enemies? Have they infiltrated our universities? Well, they have.

55:42.26 – 55:48.62

They have. I can answer that question. They have. We have a lot of education experts on the network, here on the platform. And they talk about it all the time.

55:48.62 – 55:56.68

Nate, you're exactly right. You're exactly right. They have been infiltrated. And this is a problem. The indoctrination, we're well down the road in that camp.

55:57.12 – 56:05.10

I mean, that's why you're seeing all the uprisings in the colleges and everything that's happened. But support on the terrorists, support on the terrorists. I mean, come on. Yeah. No.

56:05.38 – 56:20.08

Yeah. I mean, this. this thing has got to tamp down here or we're going to have a spillover like we've never seen before. Nate, as a military guy and a professional in this field, that we've talked about cybersecurity here, what are we headed to right now? in these next six months?

56:20.22 – 56:38.72

A pretty, pretty, pretty tough patch the country may go through. What's your thoughts? Are we headed somewhere? we don't want to be? I think there's a lot of analysis that has been saying that from various experts, talking about that the next several months are going to be quite a rocky road.

56:39.42 – 56:56.26

I think that. I think they obviously intended to kill Trump and he survived. Their plan failed. The question is, is will they try it again? I think one of the things that has happened is this has really galvanized people behind Trump.

56:56.40 – 57:17.16

Even now I'm seeing people who were formerly Trump haters that are turning around and they're wrecked. It's like it's this woke them up. To your point here on the platform that has gotten massive hits here in the past day from Dr. Stephanie Coxon, the deep state tactics are only making the American people more beholden to Trump. That's what you're saying, right?

57:17.46 – 57:25.88

Yeah, absolutely. So. the question is, is will that embolden the deep state? Because these people are out of their minds. There are people who are clearly afraid of Trump.

57:26.48 – 57:48.58

And Trump has made public statements that one of the first things he's going to do is destroy the deep state.
