Out Loud talk radio. I have black and white evidence that the FBI interfered in the 2016 election. It's time for The Truth Be Told with Booker Scott. There is never a dull moment in America. right now, is there?
Man, can you believe what is happening? It was a crazy week last week and I don't suspect anything is going to change this week. It is every day now in America. Just hang on, buckle up, get ready for the ride. between now and November.
I'm Booker Scott and this is The Truth Be Told on America. Out Loud talk radio. Thank you for joining us here on a Monday night. Matt Palumbo is coming up tonight, Mondays, with Matt. Matt is the Bongino Report content director, so he will be joining us here in a few minutes to give us his thoughts on the RNC, about Joe Biden not running for president, and some other things about the assassination and other things that we'll get into a conversation about.
He's coming up here in a few minutes. But before we go to him, what about Joe Biden? Finally, he says he is standing down. And I go all the way back to January 2023 and an article I published January 17th that year. And I want to go to the last two paragraphs, and just in some context for this, I kind of started this article off talking about the things that my dad used to say when he got old, he didn't want to be a burden to us.
And he would joke around with us and my two sisters, just put me on an iceberg and cut me off, like the Eskimos do. Well, in reality, Eskimos don't do that. But he was joking around. That's the way my dad was. But yet the Inuit tribe in Alaska, they have done that in their history.
It's been a long time, but they used to do that. But that's where my father got that from. And they do that to preserve the younger generations, because they are a drain on their small society, on feeding and everything else that it takes to take care of them. It is a sacrifice to them to say, put us on the iceberg and cut us off. In this article, that's how I started it, with that story about my father and the thing that he used to say.
But eventually I got to the last couple of paragraphs and that's where I want to take you. And I wrote this paragraph when all of the classified documents were coming up in Joe Biden's house, in the Corvette, in all those places. And here's what I said. The timing of the discovery of those classified documents is either to protect the president from the upcoming Republican House investigations, or it is the Democrat Party clearing the deck for Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris, or any other globalist shining star they want to coronate in the 2024 election. There are so many more questions I have, and I'm sure you have many as well, but we will have to see if we ever get all of the answers.
I'm not holding my breath. One question, I believe, is answered. Joe Biden's party has left him. His usefulness has been used up. Let's watch how this unfolds over the next few months.
The Democrats, like the Inuit tribes, are putting Joe on the political iceberg and they're cutting it off to let him float away. And that's what happened over the weekend. Joe Biden decided to stand down. And as soon as that happened, wow, things just started flying. The Clintons come out endorsing Kamala Harris.
in the letter that Joe Biden put out when he announced this. He says he is standing down, which is a useful legal way to say I'm no longer running for president. There are $250 million sitting in an account somewhere. Where does that money go? According to the FEC, who put out a post on X on Sunday afternoon, that money is in limbo.
And lawyers for both sides, the Republicans and the Democrats, are going to be fighting over that. And I have some audio for you on this from Katie Plavich that I'll play here in just a minute. She is a Fox News contributor. Very smart. She knows what she's talking about.
But now back to the stand down by Joe Biden and what is going to happen. Who's going to be the one to replace him? How are they going to do this? They just came through a primary where 14 million Americans cast a vote for Joe Biden. And now Joe Biden is out.
How do they go about this? I don't know. It hasn't been done before at this point. And I don't know that anybody knows how it's going to be done. There's talk of it going to the convention.
Maybe three people are put forth at the convention. But is that really all the people making a determination on who the Democrat president will be? Or is that just a small group of delegates? And then in the Democrat Party, it even gets down to the superdelegates, a smaller group of people making that decision. It's been interesting to watch over the last week, the power struggle that has been going on between Barack Obama, Schumer, Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries against Joe Biden, wanting to force him out of running.
And the only reason why is because they know he cannot win. Since the debate, the energy and the momentum has been continuing to get him out. It's been building.
They finally got their way. I don't know what their answer is going to be. I don't know that it's going to be any better than Joe Biden. If it's Kamala Harris, she polls lower than Joe Biden. But, as I said, the Clintons came out quickly with a letter.
They were ready to go. Bill and Hillary Clinton, they come out with a letter and they put their support behind Kamala Harris. Joe Biden didn't do that. in his letter. He said, I thank Kamala Harris for being a vice president for me.
He didn't say, I will fully support Kamala Harris. So there's still some jockeying going on here behind the scenes, a lot of it. Some of it we'll never know about. It's going to be interesting to watch. Grab your popcorn.
Or do you have any left? I've gone through quite a bit. I'm going to have to go back to the store to get more popcorn, because it's every day something is happening.
It's bumpy. As bumpy as it is right now, it may be bumpier between November and January 20th, depending on how this election is going to go. I have now seen that Governor Whitmer of Michigan, she is not interested. And that has been a name that has been thrown out quite a bit. It seems like a lot of Democrats are lining up with Kamala Harris because politically it is putting them in a bad spot.
How do you skip over the DEI vice president, Kamala Harris, at this point? She is the black Indian woman that wanted freedom, getting on the school bus in the morning years ago. Freedom. Remember that? I love electric school buses.
I just love them for so many reasons. Maybe because I went to school on a school bus. Raise your hand if you went to school on a school bus, right? I was a little girl, wanted to ride the school bus and all I wanted was freedom, she said. They can't skip over her because of the box that she checked.
Who doesn't love a yellow school bus, right? Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus, right? There's something about, and most of us, many of us, went to school on the yellow school.
bus, right?
And it's part of our experience growing up. It's part of a nostalgia and a memory. I've never heard Kamala Harris say she wanted to be the president of the United States. Have you? Her little laugh is insecurity.
Her repeating her words when she speaks is insecurity. Does America need insecurity now? Is this the best the Democrats are going to come up with, or do they have something else up their sleeve? I would say the way the Democrats are and the fact that Barack Obama has not endorsed Kamala Harris, that means they have something else up their sleeve. And that's what we're going to need the popcorn for.
Because we're going to see the Democrats fight. They're going to struggle through this. As bad as things are with the Democrats having Joe Biden being their nominee, at least they weren't fighting until Joe Biden got up on stage in a debate and was completely exposed. The whole world and all of America, including the Democrats, they saw what Joe Biden was and how he was in a demented state, something that so many of us on our side had been saying since he ran for president in 2020.. And we said, this is not going to get better.
It's going to get worse. Now they have come to the same conclusion. At 81 years old, we have to get rid of him. And I found it interesting that as soon as this happened, I received a text message from a Democrat political action committee, which I never do. It was literally within 30 minutes of Joe Biden's letter that I received this message.
And boy, do they work fast. A half hour after Joe Biden sent his letter, I received this message from a political action committee from the Democrats. It's a number I'd never received a text from before. I don't know how they got my number or why they got my number. But I found it interesting what the text said, because I believe this is what the Democrats are scared to death of.
After the RNC last week and a 39-year-old, J.
D. Vance, was named the vice presidential nominee for Donald Trump, and the Republican Party is going younger, and now we're left with an 81-year-old that doesn't know what day of the week it is. So, 30 minutes later, I get this text. I'm just 16 years old, so I can't vote. And there's a picture of a young lady here.
But I, along with millions of young people, will be doing everything in our power to make Kamala Harris the first female president and to stop Donald Trump from ever holding office again. This election is our chance to stop fascism in its tracks and make sure that Gen Z has a future that we can work forward. Young people might not be able to compete with Republicans' millions, but we can defeat them with our Gen Z voter contact efforts. The OT PAC is working in overdrive to register and turn out new Gen Z voters in swing states like Georgia and Texas. But we're students, not professional fundraisers, and we need grown-ups like you to fund our efforts to hire campus organizers in battleground states across America.
Isn't it interesting that I received that text message 30 minutes after Joe Biden's letter went out? Somebody was ready to move to Gen Z on the Democrat side, and somebody was ready 30 minutes after that decision, which means they were ready long before that decision. So who will Barack Obama coronate, king or queen? We'll have to wait and see for that. It's going to be interesting.
I said I would play some of this Katie Plavich. I'm going to do that now for you. She is a smart, young Fox News contributor. She knows her stuff. But here she is explaining a little bit about the money, that $250 million that currently sits in a bank account somewhere that Joe Biden, I guess, since he is not the candidate, he doesn't have access to it.
So what happens to the money? In terms of the logistics of this for Democrats, I think that the lawyers and the election lawyers are getting their engines revved up, both from the Republican side and the Democratic side, because there's a big question about whether Joe Biden can transfer all this campaign funds to Kamala Harris before he was actually nominated at the DNC convention in August. He has no legal standing right now as a candidate, and neither does the vice president. If you look at what the FEC commissioner tweeted out today, he said, quote, citing election law, if the candidate is not a candidate in the general election, all contributions made for the general election shall be either returned or refunded to contributors, or re-designated or re-attributed as appropriate. If you go back to the letter that Joe Biden released today, he doesn't say I'm suspending my campaign immediately.
He says, I'll talk to you about it later in the week. He says, I'm going to stand down. So there's going to be a lot of logistical legalese here when it comes to how they can actually transfer this money and whether they can transfer it at all to any other person besides Kamala Harris. So that is going to be interesting. And with Hillary Clinton backing Kamala Harris, you know how the Clintons are connected to big money.
So we will have to keep an eye on that. So now the Democrats getting rid of Joe Biden, they are putting him on that iceberg. They're cutting him off, moving him away at 81 years old. And they are desperate to get younger. And, most importantly, they are desperate not to lose power.
And they will do anything to keep it, including putting an 81-year-old on an iceberg and cutting it off and floating him away. They'll do anything. And you'll see that they will become very active on college campuses. They have to do anything they can to stop Donald Trump, the fascist, from becoming president again. They're not going to give up this power easy.
And that's why I say it's going to be a very bumpy ride between now and November. And maybe, if Donald Trump wins, it's going to be bumpier between November 5th and January 21st. That's what we have to look forward to. And we also have Matt Palumbo to look forward to. He is an author.
He is the content director for the Bongino Report. And he's also himself a Fox News contributor. He is here every Monday with Mondays with Matt. And we'll have him here next. We'll talk about a few things.

It is time for Monday's with Matt here on The Truth Be Told. So good to have you here and it's also so good to have Matt Palumbo. Matt, welcome back to a busy world and country that we're living in. Thank you. Always a pleasure.
I don't know where to start this week, because last week was incredibly busy and in some ways it was disturbing. I want to get to the disturbing part in a few minutes, but I want to start the segment off with your final impressions from the RNC convention. What did you think? How did everything go for the Republicans last week? I went pretty good.
I mean, I like that. I like the sort of unity theme that Trump did. I think that's going to do more to sort of bring people in than anything else. And even some liberal publications were framing it as sort of a new form of Donald Trump. that was being presented.
I think, in the comments, most publications, there was some like apocalyptic rage in the comments. But the fact that even the media was sort of noticing it, I thought, said something. And I do think that the assassination attempt and the survival, definitely, to me, it might have the opposite effect of giving me a God complex. I think, with Trump, it definitely helped them a bit, realizing how close it really all was to ending. And I think I said in the last show, I think it was under Reagan, his approval went up 23 points on maximum after he was almost killed.
You know, if we got a quarter of that for Trump, it would be a blowout against Biden. And it just, I don't know, it just felt, you know, obviously it's all subjective, but it just. it just felt like there was a shift in the energy. I know it's kind of impossible to quantify that to any extent, but I don't know, I'm just sort of more confident now than ever that he will be taking back the White House. And, unlike in 2020, like they can't really cheat this time.
I mean, yes, in theory they could. But in 2020, all the polls were in Biden's favor. All the media narrative was delusionally trying to cover up Biden's, you know, senility. And, you know, you could get away with stealing an election and say, yeah, well, the polls all said it was going to happen anyway. There's just no way you can really plausibly pull it off this time.
And if you, if, if they did, I don't think anyone would really believe it at all. So a lot going in favor of Trump. Now, I saw a lot of people criticizing, sort of like, the diversity aspects of it, like having Amber Rose speak, the woman who did the Sikh prayer. You know, listen, I think it's a little tacky, but in the context of getting Trump elected, I don't think the RNC is really going to be really 1 percent of what gets him elected. You know, I guess I'm sort of torn to that.
I'm for pandering in the short term to get us elected. I just don't want to see it for a second once he's in office, although I guess maybe that's hypocritical. Who knows? Yeah. Yeah.
And you are hypocritical a lot of the time, as we are. No, we all are. Absolutely. We are. You mentioned something there about the polls.
And if it's close enough, then cheating could happen. And the questioning isn't as great. But the way things are right now, they can't cheat because the polls are too much in Donald Trump's favor. Which brings me to the question about them replacing Joe Biden, because I think that may be part of their motivation to replace him. So they have to get someone that can get those polls within a certain percentage.
that would make a cheat possible without everybody asking questions. What do you think about that? Yeah, well, that is true. Like if they pick Kamala Harris, one of the advantages would be that it could. it could help them become unburdened by what has been.
And I think that's really important for campaigning, obviously. Is that your own? Did you come up with that, unburdened by what has been? Oh, I think I coined it and she took it from me. Oh, yeah.
I've heard it before. A hundred percent. No, it's hilarious, too, but she's the number one pick to replace Biden. And she kind of has to be. It really says how the establishment feels about Kamala Harris.
if they don't pick her, which I can't imagine, they like her, but they have to at least pretend they do. But she's pulling even worse against Trump. And it's just she. I've repeated this on your show before, and it's one that always gets a laugh that if you look at her net approval rating, it is the lowest vetting vice president in history, meaning you can look at Dick Cheney's approval rating after he shot a guy, and it's significantly higher than Kamala Harris. That's bad.
Yes. So, yes, I mean, Trump could probably shoot a guy and still beat her, as you know, which says a lot about Harris as well. Right. It's very interesting watching the coup that is taking place, because in reality, that's what we're watching. Mark Halperin came out Thursday night and he had that piece that was saying and it made it to Newsmax that was saying on Sunday, Joe Biden would step down and that there was an agreement.
I said I have a post over the weekend that when Joe Biden does step back down, you will know then that the price had been met for the Biden crime family and they will get out of the race. But, you know, I've always thought it was Barack Obama that was controlling the strings. But it appears to me right now he has lost control because so many people in the inner circle in the Biden administration that were Obama people, they're gone. You know, there's basically one guy, Anthony Bernal, who has been with the Bidens for 15 years that is controlling everything around Biden. And then you have Mike Donilon, who is the speechwriter.
Those two guys are the puppet masters right now with Biden. And when he does go, they will have a payoff. But at the same time, these people, the Democrats, Schumer, Pelosi, Hakeem, Jeffries, Barack Obama, they are trying to take the power from the people that voted for Joe Biden. And they're trying to take it away from them to put their own person in there. I have a problem with that.
This is a real coup. Yeah, it's a coup on two fronts. I mean, it was with Trump, who was A, during his entire presidency, and then B, with the lawfare and all that. And now they're trying to stop Biden from, I mean, listen, he was. he was who the party picked.
And, you know, they're going to again, I assume. But it's ironic, just because they're the ones who are always harping about saving democracy and us being a threat to democracy. And then it's, well, we can't really have democracy in these two categories. It's really just whatever gets them. power is apparently democracy.
But I don't think Biden will leave unless he's really forced to. And I think just the ego aspect is too strong that if he steps down against Trump, it's more embarrassing than losing to Trump. It's not even showing up for the game. So it's going to be. it'll be interesting to see what happens.
I try to shy from predictions, but, you know, if he does step down, I think it'll be Harris. I don't think it's going to be Newsom or any of these other people. Yeah, I think Harris makes the most sense. But I am disturbed by the fact that these people in Washington, D.C., think that they can just take the power from the people that went through the Democrat primary. And it's also interesting how clear it is to see.
You know, I'm sure things like this have taken place a lot that we didn't know about. But for me right now, it's clear as day what's happening. Well, that's one thing I sort of realized after not just getting into politics, but the social media aspect where we were, you know, it's social media where it's gotten big enough, where people can actually contradict the press and be credible and debunk them. And it's almost like Twitter is more reliable than reading The New York Times at this point. Like the guy on Twitter will know why the guy, and the Times is completely full of it.
And it just makes me think back, like everything I learned in high school or college, but history or this race, that race, you know, that the story we're told is from the basically from the perspective of the kind of people who would have worked for the Times or all these big publications that lie to us today. And that's really our entire history is force fed to us by by that. And I don't know, it's just sort of a sobering reminder that, you know, most of the historical narrative of the left gives us for why they're needed, why their policies have been justified. You know, all the all the problems were invented by that, you know, I just created a man for the solutions, rather. So it's the whole thing is kind of.
I'm not trying to tie this together. But my point being is, you know, everything should be with a grain of salt. Yeah, no, I agree with you. And history is written by those that win. So as long as the left keeps winning, they keep writing the history.
And I agree with you. on social media, and on X in particular, the news is so much faster. Now, it is very difficult to discern what to believe and what not to believe. And I think that's exactly what we had last week when it comes to the assassination attempt. Let me start by saying here is what we know.
We know that for an hour that they knew the shooter, Thomas Crooks, was there and he had been flagged because he had a range finder in his hand when he came into the area. We also know that at 5.51 p.m., he was spotted again. They had lost him for a little while. So from 5.51 to 6.11, when they knew he was there, Donald Trump got on stage and started his speech. And he was three or four minutes into it at 6.11 when the first shot happened.
My question is, why did they let Donald Trump even go on stage to begin with? To me, it's really simple. You have that 20 minutes right there tells enough of the story that heads should be rolling somewhere. I remember when I was in middle school, I was taught that if you ran, if you hopped the White House fence and ran towards the White House, you just get shot without question. You didn't have a gun or anything.
So unless my school teacher was wrong, or middle school teacher, rather, something's weird here. Either they orchestrated it and, you know, that's the most extreme version of a conspiracy, or they just sort of saw it and let it happen, I would say. And I know it's a huge claim, but I would say it had something. I think we're going to find out there was some involvement, or at least some people were, because it just doesn't make sense in that, you know, consider the fact that never in a single Trump rally in whatever, eight or nine years, has there ever been a case where there's someone who's gotten with a gun or been flagged with a gun and they had to take care of. And then that's against this backdrop of every single security failure that could have happened, happened.
And what are the odds? that you get every single security failure possible stacked one top of each other? And then, as that happens, that just happens to be the rally where someone can get in with a gun. But I know he wasn't literally in, he was on the side, but it makes no sense. And the thing is, too, they took him out within a second of him fire, opening fire, meaning they had a target on the guy and they didn't take the shot until after he fired.
So there was no need to let him fire, unless there was this 0.
1% chance. that where they thought maybe he's somehow some Secret Service guy, we forgot about, you know, or, you know, some cops. It just doesn't make sense. Obviously, that's not what happened, but it. and then, and then, to just like, you know, we've all seen the videos of people shouting at the cops, the Secret Service, there's a guy with a gun, like.
the bare minimum would be getting Trump off the stage, or at least alerting other people. It's just nothing. Nothing really makes sense at all. None, none. And that's my point.
We know about that. 20 minutes. We know that. that now is has been admitted to. So why was Trump on stage?
And if, when he was on stage, why didn't they come and take him off as that threat escalated? It makes no sense. Also, the roof being open where the kid was. Why was that open? There has to be someone on the ground there in Butler, PA, in charge of the Secret Service.
And he looks up and says, we got to get a guy up there. That is 150 yards from the stage, has a wide open shot. Let's get someone up there. Where is that person? And why doesn't that take place?
I know nothing about it, but I would do that. I know enough about it to say we can't leave that roof open. Let's get one guy standing up there. So someone pointed out, like, if the Secret Service effectively had to outsource their job to the crowd and the crowd did a better job. They did.
That's a great point. I don't know who said it, but they're spot on. And then the other part of it, there's no drone. There's no aerial. And, you know, that brought me to this question.
Whoever handles Trump's security, which he has his own security detail. And someone mentioned to me that they had been to several rallies and there is always aerial support, whether it's drones or drones and helicopters or just helicopters. But they are there. And this time there were none. And if I were on his security detail, I would say, wait a minute, where's our aerial support here?
We're wide open. Where did it go? It's usually here. It's not here today. And then if I was his security guy, I may say, let's hold off until we get some air support.
So there's just a bunch of things that leave us with a bunch of more questions, aren't there, Matt? Yeah. And to play off that, I think. actually it was reported yesterday that the shooter himself had a drone he was using to surveil. So he outgunned the Secret Service in that regard.
Like, it's just a comedy of errors. And you think, too, the fact that they can see a drone and go, weird, I wonder where that came from. Apparently not. Right. And I think he had the drone prior to the event starting, is what I read about that.
It was hours before, not during it, but it was hours before. And I'm also hearing that this kid communicated on Discord. I don't know if you've seen that yet. He also had encrypted channels of communication that were overseas. And so every time there's more information coming out, it's getting stranger and stranger.
But it comes down to two things. It's either a cover-up because they are involved somehow, or it's covering their ass because they're terrible. And I don't think we can answer either one of those questions right now, where things stand.
Don't you see it that way? Yeah. Well, I mean, they obviously haven't historically been terrible. They usually, you know, they were able to save the president, obviously, with many notable exceptions. There is a theory that maybe they deliberately just provided Trump with the most incompetent agents that they had to offer, so that if anything did happen, yeah, you have secret service protection, but it's the worst possible form he could have.
And when you looked at some of the video, like a lot of them had no idea what they were doing. Like there was one of the few women who, it's almost as if, like it was their first day in the job, just kind of looking around to see one of them didn't have a holster or a gun. And like, I'm not exactly a gun guy myself. I mean, I'm raised in New Jersey, so I have the opportunity. But, you know, even I could have pulled that off, which is pretty embarrassing.
So just, you know, a company of errors all around. And I also found out that they weren't all secret service agents, that they had been replaced by Homeland Security Investigations agents. So there's that layer as well. Who made that decision? There's people below Cheadle.
Everybody's pointing to Cheadle. And obviously she has a lot to answer for. But there's still people under her. Basically, Cheadle is a CEO of the organization. And then there are people throughout the chain of command that make the decisions.
And I think that's where we're going to get to, because there was obviously a lack of communication between the local police and the FBI. And it seems like that's always the case. I mean, go back to 9-11.. It was about communication. But this is, it smells, it smells to me.
And, you know, maybe this kid, and this is 100% speculation on my part, maybe this kid, maybe they knew what this kid was going to do. And they allowed him to get to the point of doing it and then took him out. That would make sense. And I don't know if you saw New York, just a statement the other day about this. And it was, I'm not even kidding, he put out a statement blasting people for criticizing female secret service agents.
Like, this is where the priorities are. It's like, not that criminals almost get shot, it's that people may have sounded a bit sexist in criticizing their failures. So that's where their concerns are, which is very common for the Biden administration, with all the DEI gibberish. Well, do you have anything else for us this week? And then, what are you looking for this coming week?
Well, what do we have coming up this week? It really feels like it's just the assassination. Everything is just kind of been blending together. That's true. Yeah, I really couldn't believe it was a week when I watched Trump's rally last night.
I don't know if you caught it. He cracked a joke about it, too. He brought up that immigration chart again, like from right before he got shot at. So he was talking about it, then he turns to the side and goes, pew! And he gave me a bullet flying past him and then continues talking.
So it was an amusing rally. But no, I don't know. I mean, I guess, what am I thinking of? A, I guess, more secret service fallout. It seems like it's only getting worse by the day.
And then B, just the local Biden drama. And will he stay or will he go? And if you look at, I'm always quoting the bookies. I know. I think Harris is actually a favorite right now, as of speaking, to replace Biden.
But, you know, we'll see how those odds change over time. I still think it's going to be Biden. Let me go back to the convention with you real quick. Because the Donald Trump speech, as we came to it on Thursday, I had really big expectations for it. I thought that we could have gone from a bullet to a speech in the most defining week of Donald Trump's presidency in life and possibly one of the defining moments in American history.
And that was my expectation. as we came to that speech on Thursday. Maybe I expected too much. Did Donald Trump deliver for you in that speech on Thursday night? I mean, it wasn't like a standout, I'm never going to forget this kind of speech.
But I thought for, you know, for the moment, it was what it needed to be. I really like the tribute he paid to the firefighter who passed. I don't know if you saw liberals were trying to claim that they misspelled his name. Yeah, I did see that. And that was so stupid.
And let me tell the audience real quick what that is about. If you did not hear this or see this, the last name of Corey Camperatore is, it's a long name. So the name was misspelled on the jacket that Donald Trump had on the stage during his speech in the convention. So the liberals in the left started making fun of the RNC and Trump for misspelling the name. That is, the literal jacket that Corey Camperatore used at the fire department.
The fire department couldn't fit his name on the back of the jacket. So it wasn't the RNC or Donald Trump. It was literally the fire department where he worked as a volunteer fireman. So go ahead, pick it up. Well, it just starts to show, when I saw liberals posting that, I'm like, well, first of all, if there was a misspelling, it couldn't have been them.
Did they think that they commissioned a replica of this guy's work uniform over the over? It just made no sense to. But yeah, so that was what liberals were focused on. But no, I thought it was a really good speech. The venom from the left, though, in response, just goes to show that there's nothing that will tame him.
And that if Trump can get shot one week and then their rhetoric fades for maybe one or two days at tops, there's really no hope ever in front of what these people at all. No, none. I agree with you. That's what I learned this week. I learned how vile they are.
I have never seen anybody from the conservative side or the right that has wanted Joe Biden to be dead. And the left, it has been so sad, really, to see. And you realize that there's no us getting along with them ever again. It's not going to happen. Well, whenever there is a leftist who dies and you see people on the right celebrating, it's someone with a screen name like Cold Dude 22..
When it's a right-winger dying and the left is celebrating, it's a professor, a media executive. Like, it's people who are prominent in society. People in Congress. People in Congress.
You're exactly right. Yeah. Well, Matt, thank you so much for joining us. Have yourself a great week. You as well.
Thank you.

Everywhere we look, it seems like America has all sorts of problems. And one of the problems I think maybe that people don't want to talk about, they want to bury their head in the sand is human trafficking. You bring up the words together and people just gloss over with a look. And unfortunately, in this country, whether you call it human trafficking or the sex business, I've seen $35 billion. I've seen it's as much as $100 billion a year industry.
I'm not sure, but either one of those numbers is astounding. And it really needs to have some attention. And that's what we're going to try to do here in this segment. As we welcome to the program, Sarah Lachance. She has an organization out of Tampa Bay, Florida.
And it's called StopTheMovement.
org. Sarah, welcome to the program. Thank you so much for having me. I really appreciate you shining a light on this issue. And you and I, you know, we were able to go take a tour a few weeks ago.
And right here in the Tampa Bay market, which, by the way, is a television market. It's about 4 million people. But it is an incredible, incredible problem we have. And I thought I knew something a little bit about this subject. But what I found out was I really know nothing about it.
Because the things that we saw were amazing. And I want to get into that. But I also want to ask you, you start StopTheMovement.org. What was your motivation? What was that event that happened in your life?
that said, I'm going to do something? That's a great question. This has been a calling on my family's life for many years. I worked at the LA Dream Center in downtown Los Angeles about 10 years ago. I spent some time there on the human trafficking unit.
And I was in the exact same spot as you were. I was shocked to discover what I thought I knew about the issue. And I was completely wrong. And I was shocked to find out that human trafficking affects men, women, and kids of all ages. And I have unfortunately worked with a variety of them over the years.
When I moved back to Florida, I was passionate about finding a place to serve. And did research for about a year, trying to figure out where I could get plugged in. And really felt called to start my own organization. And our focus for the past couple years has been prevention and awareness. Our mantra is an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
And we have recently, as you discovered, branched out to outreach. And we've got even bigger dreams beyond that. Because, like you said, it is such a big problem. And I wasn't aware of how big a problem it is. And what we found was, on that tour, we went to neighborhoods that were less fortunate.
We went to a neighborhood that had three to five million dollar houses. And there were a couple of trap houses there. And, to be honest, I didn't know what a trap house was. Can you explain to people what a trap house is? Sure, that's not in everybody's vernacular.
A trap house is essentially a house where illegal activity is taking place. So generally, the homes that we toured and saw, there are women, children, and drugs being sold in and out of them. You could probably include weapons in a lot of those as well. So there's just illegal activity happening in these places. And, like you said, it could be your next door neighbor.
It's not necessarily all low-income housing. It spans every city across every state in our nation. And as we toured, we went to a lot of less fortunate areas. And I think that's where most people believe it's all taking place. And it does take place there.
And the life that these people get trapped into is terrible. And I want to talk about that. But again, it really struck me that here we are with $3 to $5 million houses, the neighborhood right next to that, really nice homes alone. It had trap houses where they were selling people out of and selling drugs and guns. And it was shocking.
And it left an impression on me, really, for a week. I couldn't stop thinking about it. And here we are now, weeks later, and I'm still thinking about it. You know, because these are people's kids that start out there. We learned about grooming.
We went by one specific house where this guy puts out ads on Craigslist to teach kids, boys specifically, because I think boys are left out of this. We always think of little girls and we think of women. But this specific case was a guy that was putting ads on Craigslist and to teach them how to be a DJ or voice lessons. So the parents drop these boys off, spend $60, give the guy $60 to do the voice lessons, and then he starts the grooming process. That's legitimate, isn't it, Sarah?
Yes. And I'm so glad that you brought that up. I think it's really important that we talk about what grooming is. I was just having a conversation yesterday with a woman who said, I don't even know that term. And so the simple way to explain grooming is when a bad adult is taking their time to earn the trust of either another adult or a child for the purpose of exploiting them.
So they are maybe befriending them. It could be a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. They are taking the time to learn where their weaknesses are, and then they will make it seem like they're filling those needs, and then they will flip the script and start to exploit those needs. And at that point, the mental abuse has already begun. The psychological abuse, a lot of times, physical and sexual abuse, have also occurred.
And at that point, escape is almost impossible. Yeah, and they go down that path. And that path becomes that voice teacher, becomes the pimp and starts selling these young boys, in this case, publicly, online, maybe on Craigslist or some other place. I also learned another term that I'd never heard, and that was a rub map. And for those of you listening, I'm going to try.
Well, actually, Sarah, you try, because you know more about it than I do.
I think we're all learning together. Basically, a list of what we call the IMPs, the illicit massage parlors in the area.
Are there places giving legitimate massages? Of course there are. There are places that are keeping women employed there against their will. They have taken their identifications. Generally, they are from other countries, and they are not allowed to leave, and they're being forced to perform sex acts.
Much beyond the scope of what an actual massage is. And one way that you could keep an eye out if you're in the community is if you see a massage parlor that's open until midnight. This is a red flag. I love a massage, but I have never needed a massage at midnight. And if you see all the windows are blacked out, those are a pretty good sign that something illegal is happening behind those doors.
And a rub map, just to go back to that, is an application that you can download on your phone, or it's a website. And what it does is it shows those massage parlors all over the country. You can click on your state, then click on your zip code, and it will show those massage parlors that are doing more than giving massages. And something else I learned was that if it was a pink pony, that meant that there were little girls at that massage parlor. So this is reality, isn't it, Sarah?
Absolutely. This is not an ethereal concept.
Primarily, we focus on what's happening stateside. So this is not something that, when we're talking about, it's not happening in the Philippines, it's not happening in India. This is happening here in the United States, where everybody is supposed to be free. And it's not a conceptual idea. It's also, I think, very important to say this is not a political issue.
This is a human rights issue that's really affecting all of our cities. And, like you found out just a few weeks ago, it is right under our noses. And if we don't know what to look for, then we don't know how to help. Yeah, I found out that one of these people that is involved in this lives less than a mile from me, one of those houses. And so it was a shocking tour.
It really was. And when you get back to the trapped part of this lifestyle, we were talking about the guy on Craigslist giving the voice lessons. They get them into drugs and then these people get addicted to drugs. So then they become dependent on the groomer or then becomes the pimp. And they can't get out of the lifestyle, can they?
Because I heard stories of, you know, even the cell phones that they possess are not owned by them. So the only way to get outside of their world is to give up their cell phone. And you guys actually try to outreach to take people out of these positions. That's not easy, though, is it? No, not at all.
You hit the nail on the head. It is not only a drug dependence. It is generally. they've racked up a criminal record, mostly due to no fault of their own. If a pimp is controlling what they do, maybe petty theft charges or drug charges.
Additionally, there is a huge psychological abuse that's taking place.
Let's just use a girl, for example, that's being trafficked. Her family has been threatened. So she's not just at risk. If she leaves and they catch her, they might beat her beyond recognition and then drag her back. But her sister has been threatened.
Her little brother has been threatened, that they're going to be drug into this if she leaves. And that her mom and dad are going to be killed. And that the pictures that she's taken are going to be shared all over school or maybe all over her church, that she's going to be publicly humiliated. And there is no way out. You are completely isolated.
And so when people say, well, why don't they just leave? Believe me, if they could, they would. Yeah. And it really is trapped. And, as I heard, trap houses.
You know, that's what I thought. I thought, well, these people are trapped in a lifestyle. We went by one particular road that had, I think it was two, it was at least two, maybe three houses in a row. And they said that they move girls from one house to the other house and to the other house. And after the tour, I actually went and looked up those houses online at Google Maps.
And you could literally see two guys standing out front of those houses, keeping guard. Something else I learned on that tour was that these homes and these trap houses, they are surveilling you. That they have video cameras up in the trees. They have video cameras all over it. So the process of trying to go and rescue these women, men, boys, girls, is difficult because you're putting yourself in danger.
Oh, it's almost impossible. And that's absolutely accurate. I had a personal situation where we went to a massage parlor one time. And before we got out of the car, they met us at the door. We didn't even see, to this day, I don't know where the cameras were.
They saw us as we pulled into the parking lot. They knew that we clearly were not customers. Met us at the door and refused us to come in. So there, and this is, as you said at the beginning, this is a multi-billion dollar industry. These people are smart.
These are business people. They know what they're doing. They're not trying to get caught. And they're trying to make money. They care about money over everything else.
So that they're protecting their product, which is people. And it's real. And that's what I want people to understand, is it's real. Because I think sometimes the human trafficking words together, and people just, it just flies right over their head. How do you describe human trafficking?
So I describe it as exploitation for profit. So when we talk about words like sexual abuse, molestation, rape, that is an exploitation. That is, that's an abuse. That's a stealing of someone's innocence. When we talk about human trafficking, it is that exploitation, over and over and over again, that someone is choosing to pay for and someone else is benefiting from.
And when we talk about, it is a hard concept to grasp. Two things I want to say. When we say it's a $30 billion industry, what does that mean to people? That's such a hard number to grasp. Let me put it in a bite-size nugget for you.
The average sex act is about $30.
. Wow. How many sex acts add up to $30 billion or $150 billion, or whatever the actual number is, it's staggering. That's what we need to know. And when people say, you know, this is happening in developing countries.
It's not happening here. Let me introduce you to the two little girls that are sisters, that were being trafficked by a family member. And they went to school every single day. And at night they were being trafficked out of their own house. Let me introduce you to the girl that I work very closely with, who was abused by a family member 20 years ago.
Then pictures were taken. And those are still circulating on the internet today. So there is no justice there while this man walks around free. And let me introduce you to the girl who has a child who needed to be rescued from the situation and left other children behind. This happens every single day.
I could go on and tell you for hours, unfortunately, stories of real people that it's happening to here. And none of us are immune to this happening. So that doesn't mean that we should lock our kids up and never let them go outside, never let them use the internet. But we have to be aware of it. Yeah.
And it's so pervasive. That's what I learned in that tour. It was just everywhere, from the massage parlors to the homes, to the street corners. And these people get trapped in the lifestyle. There's no way to get out of it.
And it can ruin their lives. But there are people like you. This is Sarah LaChance. Her organization is StopTheMovement.org. And what else can we do other than getting the word out, to let people know that this is a real thing and it really affects people's lives?
What else can be done? I'll tell you what, again, I so appreciate you taking the time to shed some light on this issue. It's scary and it's dark, and people don't want to talk about it. But that doesn't help anyone. And so, when we do our free trainings, let me give you some very basic 101 tangible things that don't have anything to do with trafficking.
We're talking about take a couple steps back. Things that we can do as parents, as community members. If you're involved in a church or a school, look for red flags. Look for kids that are acting out of the ordinary. Look for signs of physical abuse or malnutrition.
Kids that are acting out sexually that does not match their age. Maybe they have vocabulary that doesn't match their age, or they're being picked up by people that are not their family members. If they come to you and they try to tell you that something's wrong, dig deeper. It is uncomfortable, but those are things we need to do. Also, and I can't stress this enough, we need to talk about consent at a young age.
We need to talk about bodily autonomy and not forcing kids to hug or kiss family members if they are uncomfortable with it, because that will raise children that don't feel like they can say no when they get older. We also need to name proper body parts so that if something does happen, God forbid, a child can come to an adult confidently saying, this is what happened. Because if they don't have the verbiage, they won't know how to express what happened. Those are a couple of things. And, very most importantly, you touched on this a little bit.
This statistic makes me sick. 90% of human trafficking is familial. What does that mean? That is a family member or a trusted adult that the victim was comfortable with. And not just the victim, but generally the family was comfortable with.
And you mentioned the voice lesson teacher or clergy, or the baseball coach or your ballet instructor. As parents, it's imperative that we do not just blindly trust people because they're in positions of power and authority. I can't stress that enough. Everyone, go to the website. It's stopthemovement.org.
There's a place to donate there. If you want to help out, you can do that. But at least learn more about this. Sarah, thank you very much for joining us. Thank you so much for your time.
Sarah and her group do fantastic work. That is a sad American story that is happening there with human trafficking and child trafficking. Something we should fix in America. At least keep your eye open and tell somebody if you see something. Something else about this.
Joe Biden stepping down that I didn't discuss at the beginning of the hour are. some Republicans are now calling on the 25th Amendment. If he is not good enough to be the candidate for the Democrats, then he shouldn't be good enough to be the President of the United States right now. That is something that's going to be interesting to continue to watch this week. And we'll do that.
