So today's episode is all about arthritis, how to beat arthritis, some of the statistics around arthritis, the various types of arthritis. Then I'm going to list out for you antidotes research study backed quotes of how to beat and reverse arthritis.
And I'd like to thank my son, Braden, he's my 21-year-old college kid at Tarleton State University in Texas. And he helped to build out this compilation of research studies. And my powerpoint I'm going to actually go off of as I present this radio show, which I'm excited about.
All right, so let's dive in here to my presentation. Give me just a second here to pull it up.
All right.
Hope you guys all had a great week last week. I spent the week off with my family for once, thank goodness, and I feel much more rested, which is great. It's been a lot, a lot of to doing here for the last many, many months.
All right, so let's dive into how to beat arthritis. Just so, you know, this is a Powerpoint presentation. The Powerpoint can be downloaded at the Patient Resources tab, which is at the Drartistshow..com is where you can find that.
All right, so remember you go to the Drartistshow?
Com, and you can download the under Patient Resources tab How to Beat Arthritis presentation. it's free, the entire PDF. All right. So I'm going to start with, What's the definition of arthritis? And at the NIH's website, they have published.
Arthritis literally means joint inflammation. Joints are places where two bones meet, such as your elbow or knee. This is a direct quote from the NIH. There are many different types of arthritis, as they mentioned, with different causes and treatments, and some types. Such other organs, such as your eyes, heart or skin can also be affected.
These are the several types of arthritis that the NIH is listing on their website, and they include these. Number one is ankylosing spondylitis. This is a type of arthritis that causes inflammation in the joints and ligaments of the spine. I hope, as you listen to this radio show today, that if I mention any of these arthritis is that. Either you or another loved one or family member or person you follow struggles with. You might want to please share this presentation with them.
Ankylosing spondylitis is what I just defined just now. There's also another type of arthritis the NIH publishes called gouty arthritis, or gout, and they define it here. Gout is a type of arthritis that occurs as flares. Typically in your big toe or a lower limb, it can be your big toe joint on either foot, both feet, your knees, hip joints, spine.
Eventually, it can actually be your entire body. Then there's another type of arthritis called juvenile idiopathic arthritis idiopathic. If you ever hear that idiopathic means we don't have a clue what causes it, so idiopathic is a Latin term meaning we don't know, so it's called juvenile. I don't know arthritis.
It's a common type of chronic arthritis that affects children, is how NIH publishes it. Osteoarthritis is the next type that they write. Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis and is more common in older people, they say. Living with arthritis. Health Information Basics For You and your Family is a booklet they propose people to use and hyperlink to.
Osteoarthritis and another form called rheumatoid arthritis are the most common diagnosed arthritises in elderly people in America. Rheumatoid arthritis is defined as an autoimmune form of arthritis, where the immune system attacks the healthy joint tissues. Now, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are only diagnosed by a medical professional based on something you say to them. So if you walk in and say, Hey, doc, my joints hurt, and they say, Okay, Mary, does it hurt? When you wake up the joint? And then they're going to ask you, does it feel better as the day goes on, or as you're using the joint, does the pain get worse?
And if you say doc, actually, when I wake up, it's more stiff. And as I use it, by the time lunch comes around. Usually my joints feel less painful and I can handle the activities of the rest of the day without much pain. Then they would look at you and say, Great, you have osteoarthritis, Mary.
Versus if you say, actually, doc? It's not as painful in the morning, but as I use my joints throughout the day, the pain gets worse. If you're using the joints and they get worse. The doctor is then going to call it rheumatoid arthritis, most likely, meaning it gets worse throughout the day. Osteoarthritis is as you use it, it actually gets better, so osteoarthritis is more common, more people have arthritis.
That gets better throughout the day. Rheumatoid arthritis, they tell you your immune system is causing more pain in your joints. It gets worse as you use them throughout the day. Then the NIH goes on and says, there's also another kind of arthritis called psoriatic arthritis.
And they say this can occur in people who have psoriasis, a scaly, red and white skin patch. It affects the skin, joints, and areas where tissue is attached to the bone. Reactive arthritis is caused by an infection in your body. This is another kind of arthritis.
Symptoms often clear up on their own within a few weeks or a few months. Reactive arthritis, meaning you're just having joint inflammation for some reason. We don't know why it disappears after a few weeks or months. Psoriatic arthritis is where you have psoriasis plaques. Now we're going to dive into what are some of the numbers worldwide.
In the United States of People, how many people are affected by arthritis? Well, today I'm quoting right here actually from healthy people, it's the Health..gov website they actually published. That arthritis is currently reported in 54.4 million U.S.
Adults Well, there's only like 150 million adults, so that's like a third of them have arthritis. The prevalence of arthritis is projected to increase to 78.4 million adults by the year 2040. That's almost half of all the adults in America.
Alright, so arthritis is very common, just so, you know, they actually published. There's no known cure for arthritis, and they don't even know what causes it. Still, the medical profession.
Well, if half of Americans by the year 2040 are going to have arthritis and joint pain, why would you go see a medical doctor when they still don't even know what causes it? How common is arthritis? I'm going to continue here. This is off of Singledcare.com, a news article, and they write that there are more than 350 million people have arthritis globally in 2021.
In the United States, one in four adults have arthritis, per the CDC. It's estimated that by 2040, 78 million U.S adults will have arthritis, according to the medical journal titled Arthritis and Rheumatology. In an article they published in 2016..
They also write that osteoarthritis is the most common joint disorder in the entire United States. There's no other joint problem that's bigger. Rheumatoid arthritis affects more than 136 million adults in the U.S.
Sorry, I was about to say that doesn't read, right? There's a period in the 136. Rheumatoid arthritis affects more than 1.36 million adults in the United States. They continue on with juvenile arthritis. They say about one child in every 1,000 will develop some type of chronic arthritis.
Well, that's ridiculous. And then gout statistics, they say there's more than 42 million people around the world with gout, and more than 9 million Americans have gout. That's nearly 4 of all adults in the U.S have gout.
I used to be one of those adults that had gout and I figured out what was causing it. And I've never had an issue ever since, and I've never been treated for it. We'll talk about that here later when I get to the gout stuff. And then also, 60 of people who have arthritis are between the ages of 18 and 64. Can you believe that 60? Over half of all of them that have any arthritis are in the working age group?
That's surprising to me. 41 million non-Hispanic adults, non-hispanic white people have been diagnosed with arthritis.
6.
1 million non-Hispanic Black people have been diagnosed with arthritis. I always wonder why they give statistics like that in America. Why are they all related to non-Hispanic white people and non-Hispanic Black people? Why don't you just call them whites and blacks? I don't get it.
Anyway, those are your statistics.
Arthritis and Overall Health section of the same article. As many as 88 of people say arthritis affects their quality of life. This is a survey from 2021. They also published that 24 million U.S adults are limited physically by their arthritis.
That's a lot of people every day. Arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States, per the CDC in an article written in 2020. They also write that there are more than 560,000 hospitalizations in the United States every year due to rheumatoid arthritis alone. Then they state that people with osteoarthritis have a 24 higher risk of getting heart disease than those without arthritis. So if you were diagnosed with joint pain and they tell you have osteoarthritis, you now have 24 higher risk factor of developing heart disease than anybody else.
Well, I'm going to go ahead and tell you why. That is, if you have osteoarthritis, pain in your joints, you have excess calcium building up in your joints.
Extra calcium in your joints means there's extra calcium in your blood. And as the blood circulates and reaches the heart, that means there's extra calcium in your joints. Now that extra calcium makes it to the heart in the blood. So osteoarthritis is caused by excess calcium, guess what calcium also does to every muscle in the body?
Calcium is what is required to initiate a contraction of a muscle. If you have excess calcium, you're going to have excess heartbeats, meaning you're going to have arrhythmias, tachycardia, bradycardia, arrhythmias. You're going to have any of these scenarios with the heart, you're going to be diagnosed with heart disease.
You eventually will have a heart attack, and that is excess calcium. Also, calcium is what is required to initiate a muscle contraction anywhere in the body, and most likely, you will have excess contraction leading to a heart attack. Okay, great.
Let's continue. What are some of the costs financially in the burden of arthritis? Here's a quote. Work, disability, medical care, and lost earnings related to arthritis cost the United States public health system more than $303 billion every single year, according to CDC in 2020..
Osteoarthritis accounts for more than $16 billion worth of combined cost for all hospitalizations tied to arthritis, $16 billion hospital expenses. All right now, we're going to start diving into some of the drugs that are the most diagnosed and prescribed for arthritis, no matter what kind of arthritis you've been given.
Now this is a term that was new to me. It's called DMards d-m-a-r-d-s. These are called disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs, short DMards, so these are used to decrease inflammation, and obviously, arthritis is excess inflammation. The most common DMards. As published by Healthline..com, the first one, the most common for rheumatoid arthritis they list, is called plaquenil.
Now, plaquenil has a generic name, that generic name is hydroxychloroquine, which, if you paid attention. During the COvid-19 pandemic, hydroxychloroquine was massively talked about as a cure for Covid. Promoted by Donald Trump, promoted by Zev Zelenko, talked about by me and many others, Peter McCullough and many others during Covid. But hydroxychloroquine plaquenil is the brand name is often prescribed for arthritis. Now I have to mention this here. Hydroxychloroquine is an antiparasitic drug. plaquenil is hydroxychloroquine, therefore it is also an antiparasitic drug.
Why do you think people with arthritis are seeing benefits with an antiparasitic drug? Because there's parasites that lead to people having pain in their joints, that they're later going to be called arthritis, all right, so plaquenil side effects that you need to know about From an article written in pubmed..gov, it reads here Plaquenil is a brand name oral tablet that's prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and malaria.
As with other drugs, plaquenil can cause side effects such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. But the serious side effects listed in this article at Medical News Today read. Serious side effects that have been reported from plaquenil include of the ear or hearing problems, deafness, and tinnitus have been reported. Did you know that plaquenil hydroxychloroquine can cause deafness and hearing problems? But what about all the people that had Covid and then started taking hydroxychloroquine every day? Did you know that it causes hearing problems, including balance problems, dizziness, trouble hearing, or loss of hearing altogether?
Did you know that? A published side effect of plaquenil is blood disorders, including low levels of white blood cells, red blood cells, or platelets? Causing you to bleed from your gums or nose, feeling tired, headache or infections. Did you know that plaquenil also causes liver problems, like liver failure? is a published side effect? What about low blood sugar? Did you know that was a cause of hydroxychloroquine? What about muscle or nerve problems such as cramps, stiff muscles, weakened reflexes, muscle spasms?
Did you know that plaquenil hydroxychloroquine causes suicidal thoughts or behaviors? Did you know it causes eye problems? Did you know it causes heart problems, cardiac problems? Did you know that skin reactions like psoriasis are side effects of plaquenil or hydroxychloroquine? Did you know that? Irrational thoughts feeling anxious about things being depressed, including suicidal thoughts.
Did you know all these were published? Side effects of hydroxychloroquine? Hallucinations, self-harm, suicide? We're going to dive into more of the drugs being prescribed for arthritis on the opposite of these commercial breaks, with more looking for healing radio coming up right after this.

Bringing you up to speed on what are the various drugs that are being used to treat arthritis around the world. We went through statistics, data points, and now we're going to dive into some of the serious side effects of more drugs they often prescribe for arthritis symptoms. We just went through plaquenil, which is a very common prescribed arthritis drug. It's also the same drug called hydroxychloroquine.
Hydroxychloroquine and plaquenil are the exact same. I just got done reviewing before we left. Some of the serious side effects which you may not know about are.
Listen to these of plaquenil plaquenil, otherwise known as hydroxychloroquine. Serious side effects include eye problems like changes in the color of your eye, or problems with your eyesight, such as blurry vision, sensitivity to light, or changes in the way you see color.
So double vision, all kinds of issues, retinal detachment. Lots of things can come as a result of hydroxychloroquine skin reactions, such as a large area of scaly skin that is psoriasis. If you start taking plaquenil or hydroxychloroquine, you can develop psoriasis.
You can also develop irrational thoughts, feeling anxious, seeing things that are not real. I am quoting here, you can see things that are not real. You will have hallucinations.
Feeling confused or feeling depressed? How many old people do you see in assisted living homes? I've got a mother-in-law that's 91 92. Lots of them seem depressed, and lots of them seem confused, and that's a lot of them are on this drug. Also, thoughts of self-harm, even if you've never had similar problems before, is a listed side effect of hydroxychloroquine.
Forbes magazine published an article in 2020 titled Hydroxychloroquine, a drug Trump promoted to treat COVID-19, has been linked to 17,000 deaths, estimates show. Well, just so, you know, during Covid, I would talk about hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, but in the majority of my interviews, I always said, You don't need hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin, just go get.
All you need is wormwood. It's the same herb that does the same thing, but it's not toxic like these drugs, and also nicotine is better. The next disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug, abbreviated DMARDS for arthritis, includes not just plaquenil and hydroxychloroquine. The next drug most commonly prescribed is called methotrexate. The brand name is called Trexol, so let's dive into methotrexate, known as trexol.
Side effects include and they state on WebMD.
Com to tell your doctor right away if you have any of these serious side effects to methotrexate or Trexol, same drug including any of these symptoms. So people, if you know or have a loved one that's on methotrexate, Trexol for arthritis, please listen to this list. Because if they're struggling with any of these things, they tell you to call their doctor right away if they have. Mouth sores, diarrhea, signs of anemia that include pale skin or tiredness, signs of liver problems such as nausea or vomiting. That doesn't stop. Dark urine, stomach or abdominal pain, yellowing of the eyes or skin, easy bruising, bleeding, black stools, enlarged lymph nodes, bone pain, unusual pain and discoloration of the skin. Signs of kidney problems such as change in the amount of urine, dry cough, muscle weakness. Then, it states, get medical help right away if you have any of these serious side effects, these very serious ones that include weakness on one side of the body. This is to methotrexate.
If you're on methotrexate or Trexol, the same drug, and you start having neck stiffness, severe headaches, vision changes, irregular heartbeat, mental mood changes or seizures, you need to call your doctor right away. They say. They also state if on methotrexate or while on methotrexate, I'm quoting here, this medication may lower your ability to fight infections. OK, Well, if you're worried about Covid, you might want to get off of these drugs. If you're worried about getting the flu every flu season, you might want to get off of methotrexate. Here's a continued list on Medical News Today, a different article on the side effects of Trexol.
It also includes lung problems such as stiffening or inflammation, swelling in the lungs, serious infections like pneumococcine, also called pneumonia. Kidney problems from methotrexate, such as kidneys not working well or complete kidney failure, leading to less urine blood in your urine. Sudden weight gain. Also, methotrexate, called trexol, causes ulcers or bleeding in your digestive system, also causes lymphoma or cancer in your lymph nodes. Did you know that?
Did you know methotrexate causes cancer? Did you know that Methotrexate is published to cause severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, which includes rashes, redness, swelling, blisters, peeling, itching of your skin? Did you know that the cells in your body that kill cancer cells are killed by methotrexate? Did you know that there's a published paper from 2018 titled Severe Harm and Death Associated with Errors and Drug Interactions involving Low dose Methotrexate?
So this is a horrific, actually to read, but we're going to go through it alright. So what do they highlight in this paper? Severe harm and death associated with errors and drug interactions involving low dose methotrexate, not high dose, low dose. So this is what they publish. Most errors involved accidental daily dosing of oral methotrexate that was intended for weekly administration.
Everybody, please pay attention if your loved one or yourself has been prescribed methotrexate. It often comes in a low dose, weekly dosing, but most people don't know when they leave that. It's recommended for weekly use, not daily use. And those people who have been found to take it daily are the ones who die the most often from methotrexate. It's a poison. In this paper on NIH's website, they publish three different occurrences where people died being on low dose methotrexate, and this is what they wrote. Two of the three people died in this September 30th, 2015 issue. They involved patients who were taking no more than 20mg of methotrexate weekly.
Yet they died of severe methotrexate toxic effects due to other risk factors, including drug interactions with other drugs that increased the blood concentration of methotrexate. For example, they share that one person, an elderly patient with rheumatoid arthritis, was admitted to the hospital for treatment of a fracture caused by a fall. While in the hospital, the patient's weekly dose of methotrexate once a week was 20mg, and it was continued and.
Diclofenac.
Diclofenac was started another drug. The patient developed renal failure and subsequently died. The patient died, I'm quoting, as a result of methotrexate toxicity, it was only given once, but because it was given with this other drug called dicloflucan.
Diclofenac, the interaction of those two drugs methotrexate, cannot be combined with that drug safely. And they died, and that was not because of arthritis. They were in the hospital because they fell and broke bones in their neck or broke bones in the body. The conclusion of this article reads this This is about methotrexate.
This article highlights the importance of initial screening for risk factors and ongoing monitoring for methotrexate toxicity. Even when this drug is prescribed at low doses. Methotrexate is a high alert drug. And extra safeguards are needed whenever it is prescribed, dispensed, and administered, regardless of the setting, dose or indication for use. While severe harm and fatalities have occurred during hospitalization, many of the adverse outcomes have occurred after discharge. It is important for. So this means they leave the hospital, they're still taking methotrexate and they die.
It is important for hospitals not only to ensure that the proper dosage regimen is administered during the hospital stay, but it's also important. And make sure they implement an effective, proactive strategy so that the person leaving the hospital knows the proper dosage regimen so they don't die after they leave.
The next drug used that is called a DMARD.
That reduces inflammation and rheumatoid arthritis problems is a drug called Humira. Now most of you know what Humira is. Humira is very commonly on commercials all over the world. On TV, it has another name, Adalimubab.
Adalimubab Mumab Monoclonal Antibody M-A-B is how it ends, but it's called Humira. Now I'm going to play a commercial.
About Humira I want you all to pay attention and listen.

Don't trust Humira, I don't. I'm going to actually read directly from Humira's website on the drug. this is directly off Humira's website www..humira..com. H-u-m-i-r-a If you have a loved one on Humira, which I bet you do, important safety information about Humira.
Serious infections have happened in people taking humira. These serious infections include tuberculosis caused by viruses, fungal, or bacteria that have that can actually spread throughout the entire body. And people have died from these infections. After starting Humira cancer, both in children and adults taking this type of drug have developed and been diagnosed with cancer, Humira. Also continuing on this same document, Humira can cause serious side effects, including not only serious infections.
They can actually cause hepatitis B infection in carriers of the virus. So you might, you might have hepatitis B virus, but when you take Humira, you will actually get the hepatitis B infection diagnosed. Also, allergic reactions including hives, trouble breathing, swelling of your face, eyes, lips or mouth. Nervous system problems from Humira include numbness or tingling anywhere in the body, problems with your vision, weakness in your arms or legs. Blood problems Decreased blood cells like lowered white blood cells called leukemia, lowered red blood cells, which look like anemia. Symptoms include a fever that does not go away, bruising, looking very cold or pale.
Also, they include Humira can cause heart failure, either new heart failure. Just, you know, the word failure means the heart stops working. that means you die of a heart attack, so heart failure. New or worsening symptoms include shortness of breath, swelling of your ankles or feet, and sudden weight gain. Immune reactions, including a lupus like syndrome from Humira. Symptoms include chest discomfort or pain that does not go away, shortness of breath, redness of the cheeks or arms. That gets worse in the sun.
That is a side effect of humira liver problems. Symptoms, including feeling very tired skin or eyes that look yellow, poor appetite or vomiting that won't stop humira also can cause psoriasis, either new psoriasis or worsening psoriasis.
Symptoms include red, scaly patches or raised bumps that are filled with pus. How about that? Did you know that about humira? Redness, itching, pain, swellness of the injections? This comes from WebMD's website.
Let's read what they say about Humira. Serious side effects include fast, irregular, pounding, heartbeat, that's humira, unusual tiredness, unusual sudden weight gain, blood in the stools, mental mood changes. Severe headaches, easy bruising and bleeding, leg pain and swelling, numbness or tingling of the arms, hands, legs or feet, unsteadiness. How many old people would you like to put on Humira?
Who are using walkers to walk? How would you like to put them on this? That makes them unsteady. Unexplained muscle weakness, difficulty with speaking, chewing, swallowing, facial movements, vision changes, joint pain, butterfly shaped rash on the nose and cheeks are all published side effects of Humira, also of lupus. The drug is also they list can possibly be fatal due to liver disease in people exposed to hepatitis B virus. Just so, you know.
Alright, now, the maker of Humira is called ABV.
In 2018, on a website titled.
Fiercepharma.
Com F-i-e-r-c-e Pharma.
COM There's an article titled ABV A-b-b-v-i-e is the company that makes Humira slammed by the F.DA for improper handling of Humira death complaints. That's the name of the article. Now go back and read that. ABV is in trouble for the way they handled reports of people who died from Humira. Just so, you know, death is a published, known side effect of Humira.
Some of the drug commercials for Humira actually say the very first side effect they state in the commercials I have heard them reads Cardiovascular stroke or death has occurred when starting Humira.
The next drug, called Edemard for arthritis, is called enbrel. So we have gone through several drugs now. We've talked about plaquenil, we've talked about methotrexate, we've talked about humira. Now we're to one of the other, more common ones, called Enbrel, E-n-b-r-e-L, Etanercept is the name of its generic version, Enbrel.
If you go to their website, enbrel.
Com it actually reads. Most common side effects are itching, soreness, redness, swelling, bleeding, or pain at the injection site. Infections, including colds and sinus infections, are very common when starting Enbrel. Less common side effects, they write are headaches, runny nose or rash. Then they list these side effects also, but they don't know how many, they say.
There have been reports of some types of cancer developed in patients using Enbrel. These include skin cancers, cancers that affect lymph system called lymphoma, and carpose sarcoma, which also affects the organs skin, mouth, nose or throat, or affect the blood system, called leukemia. There is a published paper from Stat Online Health magazine titled Failure to warn hundreds died while taking an arthritis drug, but nobody alerted their patients. This is about Humira.
This was published in 2017. The next drug we're going to talk about when we come back from the commercial break is called Celebrex, and a lot of you know about this one. These are very common prescription NSAids. NSAIds like tylenol, Advil, aspirin stands for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. We're going to dive into Celebrex, which was threatened with being taken off the market about 20 years ago when Vioxx was taken off the market.
Also, there's a drug called naproxen.
Naproxen is very common. Also, in fact, there's vending machines that carry this all around the country now. And we want to educate you what those are on the other side of the commercial break. What are the side effects with these? And then what are the antidotes and cures for arthritis that your doctor is not going to tell you, but you're going to learn about? Here. At Looking Freeling Radio, we will be right back with more looking freeling radio. We're still about two months out, but there's less than 100 tickets left out of 500, so please go get your tickets now. We're very excited to have you there. Alright, let's keep diving in here.
More about arthritis. Alright, we left off with a drug called Celebrex and we want to launch back into Celebrex. Alright, so here we go, alright, so NSAIds non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like Celebrex, it's brand name is Celesoxib. I don't know how they come up with these names, alright. So, if you go to Drugs..com and look up their series Side effects of Celebrex, you will learn that. The most common side effects include cough, fever, skin rash, sneezing, sore throats and swelling of the face, fingers, feet or lower legs.
Rare, but even still common symptoms is abnormal growth in the breasts, which I'm sure every woman on earth does not want to feel. When on. Celebrex for joint pain, burning, feeling in the chest or stomach burning, tingling, numbness or pain in the hands, arms, feet or legs. Chest pain, discomfort, tightness or heaviness. Nerve pain, painful blisters in the trunk of your body, stabbing pain, stomach pain that is severe, or just some of those heavy. Non-menstrual vaginal bleeding loss of consciousness is a published side effect of Celebrex heavy bleeding irregular heartbeats. Vanderbilt University published a study titled Study Links Celebrex Heart valve calcification after early research declared that the drug was safe. Now, this was published in 2019, so Vanderbilt is reporting that. It was found that Celebrex causes heart valve calcification, which requires drugs. Surgery to reverse. Or try to handle with pig valves inserted and all kinds of stuff.
Alright, so, study links Celebrex to heart valve calcification, even after early research declared it was safe. I'm quoting from the article, Vanderbilt University has found a link specifically between Celebrex and heart valve calcification. David Merriman, professor of biomedical engineering and P.h.D. student. Megan Bowler. Started out by testing Celebrex on valve cells in an effort to see if it could double as an aortic stenosis therapy. But it made the problem worse.
So they were seeing, would Celebrex help to reverse hardening and calcifications of valves in the heart of a human? It didn't work, it actually made it worse. Then they end the paragraph of the statement.
Patients who had taken Celebrex had a 35 increased prevalence of valve disease. I wonder if your medical doctors told you that about Celebrex, or if you know that your loved one knows that they could have a possible need for a heart transplant in the future, for heart transplant, valve transplant, you name it, because of a drug like Celebrex causing that problem. Now, naproxen is another over the counter NSAID, and naproxen has serious side effects also. And these are a list of some of those common side effects chest tightness, difficulty, or labored breathing. This is naproxen pain in the chest below the breastbone, skin eruptions.
Less common are blood or black tarry, stools, blurred or loss of vision and burning. Upper stomach pain, severe and continuing nausea, severe stomach burning, cramping or pain. This is naproxen.
Trouble breathing that doesn't sound good, unusual tiredness or weakness, vomiting of material that looks like coffee grounds. Isn't that awful? Alright?
And then side effects of NSAIds include ulcers, erosion or burning a hole through your stomach or intestines, stomach bleeding, kidney damage. Harvard even has a published article on their website on Harvard Health Publishing at Harvard Medical School. The heart health article is titled Common Painkillers Boost the Risk of repeat heart attacks in the article from Harvard they published. After one year, those who used an NSAID were about 60 more likely to have died during each year of the study than those who didn't use an NSAID.
During the first year, there were 20 deaths per 100 people among NSAID users, compared to 12 deaths per 100 people among non-users. That's double the amount. During year 5, there were 9.5 deaths for every 100 NSAID user and only 6 deaths per 100 non-NSAID users. That's over 12 times more deaths for NSAID users in 6 years, sorry, 5 years than those who didn't use it. People who took any NSAIds other than aspirin also had a higher risk of having a second heart attack.
Did y'all know that about anything? It's called a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ask your doctor if NSAIds are right for you. Tell him you want a heart attack, more heart attacks in the next 5 years than those who don't take it opioid pain drugs.
You guys have probably heard about these. Like fentanyl and others, opioids are the strongest pain drugs on the market, according to Healthline magazine online. Fentanyl is one of these opioids and on Drugs..com. Here are just some of the highlighted horrific side effects of fentanyl. Black tarry stools. That means you're bleeding internally up by your liver.
Difficult or labored breathing? Why doesn't everybody? I mean, don't you remember during Covid people had labored breathing? I mean, did you know this was a side effect of opioid drugs for controlling arthritis pain?
Painful or difficult urination, fainting, lightheadedness. I mean, everybody I can imagine that's elderly and uses a walker could benefit from being more dizzy and lightheaded. Tightness in the chest, ulcers, sores in the mouth.
Decreased awareness or responsiveness. Oh, that's great. Sounds like a self-induced coma, muscle twitching or jerking, seeing, hearing or feeling things that are not there. It's called hallucination and delusions, people, it's like schizophrenia.
It's a side effect of fentanyl. seizures are another side effect of fentanyl thinking abnormalities, another odd side effect of opioids. Opioids, again, I remind you, are the strongest painkillers on the market. Hydrocodone is one of the most popular, longest used opioid drugs for pain.
Hydrocodone has these horrible common side effects depression, bloody or cloudy urine, difficult or labored breathing, fear or nervousness.
Rapid weight gain, tightness in the chest. Also, demerol has nausea, vomiting, constipation, sweating, lightheadedness, dizziness as side effects. Interrupted breathing, called sleep apnea, is a published side effect of demerol. Demerol also causes mental and mood changes.
I'm reading directly off of WebMD.
Com. It causes hallucinations, confusion, stomach, abdominal pain. Yes, we're talking about demerol, difficulty, urinating, slow or regular fast heartbeats, shaking, tremors, signs of your adrenal glands not working, such as loss of appetite, unusual tiredness or fatigue. Very serious side effects include fainting, seizures, drowsiness, or difficulty waking up that is severe. They also list fast heartbeat, hallucinations, loss of coordination, severe dizziness, severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, twitching muscles, unexplained fever, unusual agitation and restlessness are all serious side effects of demerol. And it says this medication may increase serotonin and really cause a very serious condition called serotonin syndrome, or toxicity. Get medical attention right away for any of the symptoms.
I just read off and that was quite the list. Morphine, a very common drug used in hospitals to control pain, accompanied with an anti-nausea drug called zofran Morphine, is what they used to kill my father-in-law in a hospital in 2020.
Morphine used in almost every single person on Earth with arthritis or pain, even hospitalized or not. Serious side effects include burning, crawling, itching, numbness, prickling, pins and needles feeling or tingling feelings throughout the entire body. Dizziness, faintness, lightheadedness when getting up suddenly from a lying or sitting position. Fainting is another one. Hives on the whole body, or skin rash.
Severe constipation, severe vomiting, slow heartbeat, faults or unusual sense of well-being, bad, unusual or unpleasant tastes. We're still talking about. morphine. Heartburn, or indigestion, is a known side effect of morphine, problems with muscle control, uncontrolled eye movements. Let's go to oxycodone.
Oxycodone Serious side effects for arthritis include difficulty or labored breathing, dizziness, faintness, or lightheadedness when getting up from a lying position, twitching like a seizure difficulty, having bowel movements.
Lack or loss of strength. Anybody on oxycodone who can't poop now, you know why? Anxiety is a very common side effect of oxycodone burning feeling in the chest or stomach, and then also faults or unusual sense of well-being. ABC News reported in 2016 that fentanyl overdose deaths surged 279 since 2016..
Sorry, this was published in 2023.
Since 2016, there's been a surge of more than 279 increase in fentanyl overdose deaths. At the same time period. heroin deaths dramatically dropped.
Alright, so let's dive into, though, more on oxycodone.
Fentanyl is just a review of this article. It just happens to be one of these opioids used for pain in arthritic patients. Alright, so cortisone is the next drug? I want to mention. Cortisone injections are very commonly given to people. They usually last about 2 months to help produce pain.
I've got to review with you. What are the published side effects from the Mayo Clinic about cortisone injections? Potential side effects of cortisone shots directly off of Mayo Clinic's website are 1. Cartilage damage Any of you that are worried about knee pain, hip pain, osteoporosis, and bone on bone issues, you have to know that cortisone injections cause cartilage damage to lead to bone on bone in your x-rays.
Another potential side effect of cortisone, per the Mayo Clinic, reads, death of nearby bone. So wherever they're injecting you, whatever joint they're telling you, it can kill the bones next to you, wherever the injection is. A joint. Infection is another common risk. Short term facial flushing, nerve damage, short term flare up of pain, swelling, and irritation in the joint tendon, weakening or rupturing.
That can't be good, especially if you have wheelchairs. And what are those things you walk with? Ah, I'm forgetting crutches or anything, you name it, walkers. That's what I was trying to say. Thinning of nearby bone or osteoporosis. The University of Minnesota reported that in this article from 2023, it's titled Higher Dose corticosteroids tied to 60 More deaths in Low oxygen Covid patients.
Higher dose corticosteroids are linked to 60 increase of risk of death in COVID-19 hospitalized patients. Steroids, they write, including prednisone Prednisone. Side effects include aggression, fast, slow pounding or irregular heartbeat or pulse, shortness of breath, trouble thinking, speaking or walking. What about Bruce Willis and his aphasia? Here's an article from pubmed..gov. Prednisone use and risk of death in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
That's the name of the published paper. And they write in their conclusion, Prednisone use was associated with a significantly increased risk of death in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. That is a direct quote. So, Prednisone people, if you have a loved one on Prednisone, did you know that it increases the risk of death?
And in the New Scientist paper, they write, It's time to get into the solutions. At Thedoctorartistshow.com is a supplement called NAC in a online journal titled New Scientist, This is the Paper, online journal, they write. When researchers added n-acetylcysteine, or NAC, to drinking water that they gave to mice with osteoarthritis. It reduced the level of joint damage to that seen in healthy control mice. They were able to reverse the joint damage in arthritic mice using NAC. And for everybody out there listening. Scientists who study mice state in their papers We study mice before humans, because mice have all the same genes we do. And if it's going to happen in a mouse, it will happen in a human.
So they gave arthritic mice NAC, and they reversed the joints to be like the other animals in the study that didn't even have arthritis NAC. I recommend a thousand milligrams a day for those with arthritis. You can get it at thedoctorartistshow..com. And also now we're going to dive into the next antidote for arthritis, it is selenium.
There's only going to be four antidotes. I'm going to promote here four different nutrients that actually are proven and published to reverse inflammation and pain from arthritis. Springer Link is an online medical journal. This paper, from 2023, reads Effects of selenium supplementation on the indices of disease activity on inflammation in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
And what did they find? A huge reduction in arthritic pain, severity of pain and joint inflammation. After supplementing with selenium, you can get selenium also at Thedoctorartistshow..com. I recommend 600 micrograms a day every single day for anybody with arthritis. Once the pain disappears, you can go down to 200 micrograms a day for life.
The next supplement for arthritis is a vitamin, it's vitamin D3. In an article titled Sorry, it's at Versusarthritis..org, Dr Sarah Schenker wrote She's a dietician and author of the British Dietetic Association's Food Fact Sheet on Arthritis. Says. Vitamin D seems to have a role in reducing inflammation and keeping the immune system healthy, making it an important nutrient for different types of arthritis. You can get vitamin D3 at the Dr.
Artists show. We recommend 5,000 to 10,000 international units every single month, and you should do that for life. If you're not going to supplement it, you should be getting 20 to 30 minutes of sunshine every day, preferably early morning or dusk.
The fourth nutrient I'm going to talk about is an amino acid called taurine. Taurine is spelled t-a-u-r-i-n-e. There's an article from 2014 on Springer Link Medical Journal titled Taurine and Inflammatory Diseases. In summary, they found, if you supplement with taurine, the fundamental role of taurine, they state, I quote in the immune system, is related to its antioxidant properties. Taurine protects tissues from oxidative stress associated with the disease process.
Of inflammatory diseases like arthritis, taurine are components of innate immunity. In conclusion, both in labs and in the human body. Clinical trials give support to supplement with taurine as a potential drug in human medicine, including infections and chronic inflammatory diseases. You can get taurine at thedrartisshow..com. You can also get the new book.
Pre-sales are live. Now. It's called Moving Beyond the COVID-19 lies, Restoring Health and Hope for Humanity at Thedrartisshow..com. Also, you can get this entire Powerpoint presentation there under Patient Resources. And please don't forget to sign up for looking.
