When the VP outright lies about the health of the President, what are we teaching our kids?

1Speaker 1
00:24.60 – 01:05.54

Good afternoon, America, and welcome to the Dean's List. I'm Dean Bowen, and you are listening to America Out Loud Talk Radio. We are happy to have you on board today while we take a front row seat to the unfolding and or imploding, the unfolding of political events and the imploding of the Democrat Party. Get the popcorn ready. I tell you what, this Democrat convention coming up is going to be, I mean, it already is, I don't know.

01:06.10 – 01:34.30

It's a circus. It's an absolute circus. So today, here's what I want to do. This is what's on the agenda. I want to look at the education section of the platform of Republican Party in light of, or in the backdrop of, the Democrat Party implosion.

01:34.96 – 01:52.18

We're in a two-party system. It's just the way it is. I know there's third parties that crop up from time to time. RFK Jr. is a, I mean, he's not a third party, but he is a third candidate that has,

01:54.08 – 02:20.32

you know, I could certainly throw a monkey wrench into this entire process. The Democrats shunned him. They locked him out of the Democratic process of running for president. They locked him out early on in the primary season, and now he's here running as an independent. We'll see what all this does.

02:21.88 – 02:40.00

The convention in Chicago this year, RFK the other day said it's very reminiscent of the 1968 convention in Chicago. That convention was a mess. It was chaos. It was mayhem.

02:42.04 – 03:09.38

And, you know, RFK is drawing similarities to where they are now. And for me, and I think for a lot of us, for a lot of us in the country, it's humorous. It's entertaining. We're just going to sit back and just watch it unravel. And so Biden, of course, you know, he's out.

03:10.52 – 03:19.22

And it looks like she's in. It looks like Kamala is in. What are we calling her? I mean, I call her Kamala. That's what everybody called her.

03:19.22 – 03:33.56

One day. it was Kamala. You know what? No, you don't just get to change your pronunciation all of a sudden and then decide that, you know, I don't know. I guess you can be called whatever you want.

03:34.94 – 03:48.92

But I think I can call you whatever I want, right? No, it's Kamala. Here it is. That's just the way it is. So, you know, she's the heir apparent, the heiress apparent.

03:50.74 – 04:06.56

And we're going to listen to her. We're going to listen to her talk today. We're going to listen to her speak. And we're going to do so in the context of education. That's the objective here.

04:07.26 – 04:22.88

We're looking at educationally what's happening in the country. And we're going to use her today as a guinea pig. She is front and center. I just got a small little clip. And this is a recent clip.

04:22.98 – 04:43.64

This is a clip from last week that we're going to listen to. And we're only going to take just a sentence. That's it. You can take one sentence of what she says and you can extrapolate it out to make some determinations. And that's what we're going to do.

04:43.72 – 05:07.30

We're going to draw some inferences. We, my friends, are going to come to some conclusions. We're also going to look at the Republican Party platform. They have several chapters in their platform. We are going to pay special attention to Chapter 7, which is their education chapter.

05:08.48 – 05:14.96

We want to know what they stand for. What do they, you know, they've come out of their convention.

05:16.60 – 05:29.14

This is what they say. Hey, here's our party platform. This is what we are behind. This is the verbiage of what we are supporting. We're going to dive into Chapter 7..

05:30.68 – 06:10.44

And, you know, in the next coming days, we will also look at the Democrat Party platform to see what they have to say. And then, you know, I think this is important. I think the education of the country, the education of K-12, public K-12, and how each party looks at it, this is, this should be very important to us. Matter of fact, this should be one of the things that we hang our voting hat on. This should be one of the things that we are focused on when we go to the polls.

06:11.92 – 06:58.46

In November, because we have watched education be the thing that families can coalesce around. Montgomery County, Maryland, we've watched this whole thing unfold over the last several months. And I have referred to it often, where you have Christian families, Jewish families, Muslim families, uniting together to come up against a behemoth of an educational government that is hell-bent on doing things with their children and public education. if these families don't want done. It doesn't matter what color the families are.

06:58.92 – 07:49.36

It doesn't matter what gender various family members are. It doesn't even matter what religion the families are from. These families are coalescing around this idea that they deserve, that they want, that they demand parental rights in regard to how their children are to be educated. But you have a government, and you have an appellate court over there, who has said that Montgomery County families don't have the right to object or to remove their children from certain educational programs. And in this case, it's specific.

07:49.58 – 08:11.30

It is sexualizing the kids, and it's not what the parents want. The parents want to be informed if their child is talking about becoming the opposite gender. And this court, this appellate court, says, hey, you don't have standing. You've not shown us that you deserve to be informed.

08:12.84 – 08:21.72

It is backwards. It's upside down. And so the education of our kids is important to us.

08:23.40 – 08:35.34

And so this should be something that we pay attention to. And I don't know that the country is paying attention to it. I shouldn't say that. You are. I know that you are.

08:36.08 – 08:49.34

I don't know if average, everyday citizens are going to go, oh, yeah, the Republican Party platform is out. Let's read it. I don't know that that's going to happen. But it should. It should happen.

08:51.48 – 09:12.80

You know, astute family members should print out the platform of both parties. Because here's the thing. You don't want to vote for a particular party just because that's how your family has voted for years and years and years.

09:14.42 – 09:19.46

So I mentioned the other day, we've had some funerals in the family over here.

09:21.48 – 09:46.52

And so I had two cousins pass away and had two funerals last weekend. And at one of the funerals, we're sitting around and having dinner and we're talking about my great uncle, who happened to be sitting across the table from my cousin. My great uncle is my cousin's grandpa, just the way it all works. I mean, you guys know how all this happens.

09:48.30 – 10:04.74

Somebody came up to the table, how are you related to so and so? And you have to go through the family tree. And that's just, you know, part of it. We're talking about my great uncle, my cousin's grandpa, and what a staunch Democrat he was. But this was, you know, this was back in the day.

10:05.50 – 10:10.08

This was back in the 40s and the 50s. And he was, he was a staunch Democrat.

10:11.76 – 10:36.28

But, you know, we don't vote Democrat just because my great uncle was a staunch Democrat. And that was that side of the family. On my side of the family, we always voted Republican. We are definitely more conservative. And that, you know, I don't vote Republican just because my parents voted Republican.

10:37.06 – 10:53.02

I'm going to print out the party platform. And I'm going to decide, I'm going to make a decision based on what these people right now stand for. It doesn't matter that they have an R next to their name. And that's, that's truly how we should treat it. We shouldn't vote Democrat,

10:54.54 – 11:11.18

because our parents or grandparents or our great uncles voted Democrat. We need to print off the party platform. And we need to ask one question. And it's a simple question. What do these people stand for?

11:11.68 – 11:31.52

As a party, what do they stand for? As a party, what do they rally behind? What are they, what are they in support of? Are they in support of teaching our kids that, yeah, you know, it's okay if you want to be the other gender. Matter of fact, we encourage you to be the other gender.

11:32.60 – 11:47.58

We, I mean, you should start right now. You should start using a different, grammatically incorrect pronoun. I mean, immediately. You should start calling yourself by a different name. Oh, and also, don't tell your parents.

11:47.90 – 12:02.64

We're not going to tell your parents. We're going to help you in this. We, we are going to hide it from your parents. That's right. When your parents come to parent-teacher conference, by golly, we're going to call you by your actual name.

12:02.68 – 12:13.40

But when your parents leave, yeah, we're going to call you whatever you want to be called. It's great. Is that what they stand for? Is that what they're behind? Is that what they're in support of?

12:14.86 – 12:28.54

Because if that's what they're behind, if that's what they're in support of, if that's what they stand for, they're not getting my vote. And you'd be a fool to give them yours. Dean, did you just? Yes, I did. I'm calling people fools.

12:28.54 – 12:32.72

now, I guess. How can you not be a fool if you're going to vote for this?

12:35.42 – 12:40.24

Yeah, I know. You are. You are a fool if you're voting for this.

12:42.28 – 13:06.74

So this, this type of information, my friends, is something that we have to look at. It truly is. It's something we have to look at. So we're going to, we're going to play a clip. Now, if you want this woman to be your next president, and that's, it looks like that's, it looks like she's got the votes, the delegates secured.

13:07.14 – 13:25.84

Looks like she's got Biden's delegates all, all wrapped up. She's got the amount that she needs. She's the one. And some of the big name players, it would appear, are, are putting, putting all of their weight behind her. And some of them do have a lot of weight.

13:27.54 – 13:46.04

You know, it's interesting to me, and I'm kind of, I guess, getting off the beaten track here, but I'll get back on. Don't worry. But it's interesting that, in all of this, one of the first individuals that we're hearing from on the Democratic side is Nancy Pelosi.

13:48.06 – 14:05.90

And it's, I'm intrigued by this because she's not the, she's not the, she's not the Speaker of the House. She's not even the, the Democrat leader of the House. And she has been, but she's not. I mean, where's Jeffries? How come we, we don't hear from Hakeem?

14:06.06 – 14:16.00

It's always, what does Pelosi say? Who's actually running the party over there? I mean, this is a question that we ask ourselves repeatedly. Who's been running the country? No one knows.

14:16.82 – 14:25.18

Who's running the Democrat party? I mean, is it Hakeem? Is it Nancy? Is it Barack? Is it Michelle?

14:25.60 – 14:39.42

Is it Bill and Hillary? Is it Soros? I mean, who, you know, we ask these questions. I'm, I'm, I'm intrigued. And I'm just, I, I think it's funny that, that we hear from Pelosi.

14:39.42 – 14:47.26

She's one of the first people that, that they go to. I mean, they know who the actual leader is. They, they do. They know. I mean, we don't know.

14:47.80 – 15:09.82

I don't even know that the party itself knows, but the people in the media and the press, they know who the leader is and that's who they're going to go to. And they go to Nancy Pelosi. And then she's going to tell them what she, I don't know what she tells them half the time. I don't know that she knows. It depends on, you know, if she's had her first beverage of the day, I guess.

15:10.00 – 15:24.96

All right. So it's important that, that we hear from these people. We're going to, we're just going to take a sentence from, from, from Kamala. And, and I want to listen to it in terms of education. All right.

15:24.98 – 15:49.82

Because this is our, this is our focus. And we're going to ask ourselves some, some questions about what she is saying. And, and then we're going to, you know, we're going to put it into the, into the backdrop of, of how we want to educate the country. What do we want the future to look like? It's in our hands, by the way.

15:50.72 – 16:04.98

It's, we decide, we, the people, are going to decide about this. And I get it. I know there are many people that say, my vote doesn't really matter because they're going to steal the election anywhere. They're going to cheat anywhere. They're going to do this or they're going to do that.

16:06.14 – 16:27.18

I understand all that, but we have to be vigilant. We have to, we have to continue with our constitutional right. And this is where, this is where it gets democratic. This is where a democracy comes into a constitutional republic. And that is, we have to make our voice heard.

16:27.74 – 16:39.04

We, the people, are still sovereign. We have to go to the polls. We have to, we have to make that vote count. Now we just can't vote and then pretend like it's okay. We have to make it count.

16:39.84 – 17:05.62

And there are many people that are standing up and many people are volunteering to say, Hey, I'm going to be a poll watcher. I am going to have eyes on the situation. I'm going to be around. And, and, and more and more and more and more people are rising up to that, to that level of involvement. And they're saying, I want to, I want my vote to count and I'm paying attention.

17:05.80 – 17:21.04

We are paying attention. You better do this right. You know, so that, that's legitimate. And we hope, I just hope and pray that that continues. And if that, if you think you want to get involved in that, please, by all means, be a poll watcher.

17:21.10 – 17:46.66

It doesn't matter if there's already poll watchers at your station, volunteer and say, Hey, I'm going to count my name among the many who are paying attention. Because this is, this is the Democrat. This is the democratic process right here. This is where, this is where we do have this, this semblance of a democracy here. This is our opportunity.

17:47.44 – 18:26.76

We're not a democracy or a Republic, but this is our opportunity to exercise the democratic portion of the constitutional Republic that we know and love. This is it right here. And it's interesting to listen to RFK talk about how they, this, you know, the Democrat party, they have pulled this process right out from under the, under the people. They have pulled, pulled the rug right out from under them. The democratic values right here of the constitutional Republic, where people actually have a vote, the Democrats are ruining it for their own people, just destroying it.

18:27.38 – 18:37.98

And this entire process that they are going through. All right. Okay. We've got a lot to get into today. Again, we're going to dive into the Republican platform.

18:38.14 – 18:55.96

We're going to listen to Kamala. We're going to, we're going to, we're going to watch it all play out, and we will, we will start that up. We will begin it on the other side of this break, because I'm up against it. My friends, you are listening to The Dean's List on America Out Loud Talk Radio.

shop. Take advantage of it for your good health, my friends, for your good health. That's what we're interested in. That's what we want around here. That's what I want.

22:37.74 – 22:46.92

I want good health. All right, so what are we going to dive into first? Should I get to the platform, or should we get to Kamala?

22:49.12 – 22:55.84

Kamala, you say Kamala first? Okay. All right. No, no, that's fine. We'll do Kamala first.

22:56.52 – 23:06.00

We will listen to the cackling one. The cackling one. Madam Hyena. No, I'm okay. All right.

23:06.14 – 23:14.74

I'll be nice, but she cackles, though. Okay. I should call her Madam Hyena. That's mean. Okay.

23:14.96 – 23:20.84

No, I take it back. That's fine. We want to be respectful. I mean, that's fair. We want to be respectful.

23:20.86 – 23:35.60

I would like it if they were respectful to me, so I'll be the same. Okay, I take that back. All right, so this first clip of Kamala Harris, who is the heiress apparent. All right, she's the one.

23:37.80 – 23:40.66

She is in line for the throne.

23:43.68 – 23:47.76

Apparently, she's going to be the nominee. I mean, it looks like she's got it wrapped up.

23:49.86 – 24:08.44

So this is a clip. She's speaking. I believe she's at the event that Biden had to bail from because he had COVID. That's where I think she is here. I mean, this is just a recent thing, and it had to be...

24:08.44 – 24:21.22

Obviously, she refers to him as president, so this is before he bailed. I'm pretty sure this is the event that he... He could not make it because of, quote, unquote, COVID. That's what we're told anyway.

24:23.66 – 24:44.52

So we're going to listen to her words. Okay, what she says is very important, and it's not very long. It's just maybe, I don't know, 20, 30 seconds. But words mean things, everybody. And what people say, not only what they say, but how they say it.

24:44.62 – 24:48.94

But we have to pay attention to what they say. We have to pay attention to their words.

24:50.58 – 25:03.22

And we have to ask ourselves one question. Are they telling us the truth? Are they? Or are they lying? Are those two questions?

25:03.34 – 25:07.80

Well, that can be the same question, right? One question asked in two different ways.

25:09.94 – 25:19.94

Because this is important. We need... What we need is our politicians to start telling us the truth again. That's what we need. We need truth.

25:20.78 – 25:34.06

We need truth to be taught in public education. I mean, it's taught right now in classical education. It needs to be taught across the board. It needs to be paramount. It needs to be one of the things we teach our kids.

25:34.20 – 25:45.48

Tell the truth. Don't lie. Tell the truth. And therefore, we need to hold politicians' feet to the fire of truth. Tell us the truth.

25:47.12 – 26:07.48

Don't just get to a microphone and say whatever you think is going to placate us or patronize us, say whatever you want to say. And people are stupid enough to buy it. We're just that stupid. We're just that ignorant. We're just that moronic.

26:07.76 – 26:17.70

We're going to believe whatever you say. Those days need to go away. They need to be done. And we need to demand that they're done. All right.

26:17.94 – 26:25.16

Okay. Let's play the clip. And then we'll talk through it. All right. So this is Kamala.

26:25.16 – 26:37.96

a couple of days ago, at this event that Biden had to bail from. All right. Let's take a listen. Our president, Joe Biden, wanted to be here today. He is feeling much better and recovering fast.

26:38.42 – 26:48.38

Joe Biden's legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. In one term, he has already... Yes, you may clap.

26:51.82 – 27:03.18

In one term, he has already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms in office. Okay. So there she is. All right. She just...

27:03.18 – 27:17.14

There was some cackling in there. There was. You can clap, everybody. Remember that clip of Jeb Bush? And I think this was in the 2016 cycle.

27:17.48 – 27:23.92

And he's somewhere. He says to the people, please clap. Please clap. Will you just please clap?

27:25.74 – 27:28.86

And then there was somewhere Biden was at the.

27:28.86 – 27:35.16

. He was speaking to the military and he said... He told them to clap. Clap for that. And then he swore at them.

27:35.56 – 27:37.02

He called them bastards or something.

27:38.80 – 27:50.16

Yes, you can clap for what I'm saying. I don't know why anyone would want to clap for this. All right. So there's two things here. There's two comments that she makes.

27:51.18 – 28:00.30

And I think we need to ask ourselves, how honest is she? That's it. That's the question. It's a simple question. Okay.

28:00.30 – 28:04.94

She's here at this event talking about Joe Biden.

28:06.62 – 28:14.06

And I get it. Okay. You want to be loyal to your party. You're the vice president. You want to be loyal to your guy.

28:15.14 – 28:29.70

But you can be loyal to him. And you can talk about a specific accomplishment. Or you can talk about what a good guy he is without lying. Because that's all that we're getting here.

28:31.96 – 28:38.32

We're getting nothing. There's no truth in this statement. All right. Okay. All right.

28:38.86 – 28:47.50

Maybe there's some truth. If you ask, what does is mean? What is her definition of? is? Okay.

28:47.90 – 29:03.20

Her first statement is this. Joe Biden's legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. That's her statement. That is a lie.

29:04.92 – 29:05.66

Unless.

29:05.66 – 29:09.06

. I guess it could be truthful. It's true. It is unmatched. in modern history.

29:09.70 – 29:29.14

There's not been a worse president. So in that regard, his legacy is unmatched. So maybe she is telling the truth. I mean, maybe. And her next statement, in one term, he's already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms.

29:30.14 – 29:56.22

I mean, that could be true as well, I guess, right? In just three and a half short years, he has destroyed the country. He's done a better job destroying the country than most presidents who have served two terms. Maybe that's her definition of legacy. I mean, it might be, but that's not how I can define it.

29:56.34 – 30:13.60

So if I define it that way, then okay, maybe she is telling the truth. But that's not how she's presenting it. She's presenting it to the American people. that Joe Biden's legacy is amazing. That it's phenomenal.

30:14.20 – 30:32.78

It's stupendous. Throw in whatever adjective you want to throw in. Joe Biden's legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. She actually said that. Now again, she's right, in my opinion.

30:33.50 – 30:51.22

It is unmatched. He's done a better job at destroying this country than any other president in modern history. Even better than Jimmy Carter, and that's saying a lot. But that's not her tone. No, that's not what she's defining legacy as.

30:52.78 – 30:59.04

In one term, he's already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who have served two terms.

31:00.86 – 31:11.06

So I mean, we can laugh about this. And we can say, yeah, she's right. He's horrible. He's pathetic. His legacy is just, here's our definition of legacy.

31:11.34 – 32:17.92

We can do that. And there's actually a place for that, and to make fun, and to consider it for the comedic value that it is. But there's also a place, and this is where I'm at, there's also a place of calling her out on. why are you standing in front of the American people, and cackling in between these two false statements, and speaking as if we're buffoons, and speaking as if we're morons, as if our eyes have not been open. And it might be that she feels entitled to speak this way, because maybe the country's eyes are not open, because the media, the quote, unquote gatekeepers of information, have basically spent three and a half years propping up Joe Biden.

32:18.68 – 32:32.54

After this debate, the debate between Biden and Trump. And people were like, what in the world? He can't do this. He can't keep this up. He can't.

32:34.14 – 32:41.66

And the media had nowhere to hide. They couldn't hide behind him anymore, because he was out there front and center.

32:43.58 – 32:59.64

The shell game was up. They had been playing this shell game. And how the country was duped. You can watch him. You can watch him finish a speech and turn to shake hands with somebody who isn't there.

33:00.48 – 33:16.00

Or you can watch him mumble over his words and sentences. And is it just that people aren't paying attention? Is that what it is? I mean, obviously, if you're listening here, you're paying attention. The audience here at America Out Loud is paying attention.

33:17.58 – 33:23.12

Is it just that most people aren't paying attention? And that maybe they were paying attention to the debate?

33:24.70 – 33:30.84

And so can she get away with this? Because most people are not paying attention. She can say these things.

33:32.48 – 34:04.40

Because, you know, most people are like, oh, yeah, his legacy of accomplishment, yeah, over the past three years, unmatched in modern history. You know, what is his legacy, Kamala? What has he done that has not been matched by any other president in modern history? Okay, you know, modern history. for us, I would say would have to be, we could go back to Reagan or Carter.

34:04.94 – 34:11.60

I mean, that's probably, you know, modern history. Those of us who can remember Carter and Reagan and Ford.

34:13.12 – 34:16.08

I mean, I was little, but I remember Ford.

34:18.72 – 34:30.84

I remember Saturday Night Live making fun of Ford. So let's go back. And let's find out here. Really? Are you really being upfront with us?

34:31.92 – 34:53.14

And this is what we've come to expect from our politicians, that they're just going to say whatever. And it doesn't matter if it's the truth or not. Now, this is something little. It's something very tiny and minuscule, where she's talking about her guy. And yes, you're always going to say nice things about your guy.

34:54.10 – 35:14.90

Matter. of fact, the pastor who was giving one of the eulogies over the weekend made the statement while he's giving this eulogy. Sometimes it's really tough to get up here and say nice things about people. And you know, sometimes I'm not, I don't always, I'm not always truthful. Because I'm trying to say nice things about people.

35:15.20 – 35:23.06

And you know, he coughs and you know, but don't judge me. Don't judge me. I'm trying to find nice things to say about the dead man in the casket.

35:25.18 – 35:57.66

And that's kind of how it's how we, you know, we treat the politicians, all they got to say nice things about their guy. But this is something that this is a small thing. And if they're going to lie to us about a small thing, something that we clearly know the truth of, clearly we do. You know, maybe she might have gotten away with this before the debate, because a good portion of the country wasn't paying attention, but not everyone's paying attention. And yet she still says this.

35:58.60 – 36:24.54

She still promotes the lie. She is still out there, lying to us about who Joe Biden is, that his legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. And in one term, he's already surpassed the legacy of most presidents who've served two terms. No, no, we're done. We're done here.

36:25.64 – 36:49.56

We're done having you come out and just full face lie to us. No, we're not taking part in this anymore. And we're done teaching our kids that this is okay. You just get out there and say whatever you need to say to placate the masses,

36:51.88 – 37:03.02

or say whatever you need to say to get yourself out of hot water, or say whatever you need to say to, and then just fill in the blank. No, we're done with this education.

37:05.18 – 37:21.58

The students in this country, your children, my children, our children, our grandchildren, they deserve something more. They deserve a deeper, richer education.

37:23.18 – 37:30.44

They deserve to learn about the virtues. They deserve to learn what it means to have justice.

37:32.00 – 38:01.56

And that to me is, I mean, right now, that is just, that's a paramount focus, because because kids are taught in schools today to demand justice. You demand justice for yourself. Demand that you're done being oppressed, because that group of people over there with that color of skin, they're the oppressors, and you must demand justice for yourself. You're being oppressed. That type of instruction has got to leave.

38:01.66 – 38:20.48

It's got to be done. It's got to stop. It's destructive, and it's destructive to the country, because it's destructive to the individual who makes up the country. It's destroying the hearts and minds of the students who believe that they deserve justice for themselves.

38:22.14 – 38:36.36

Where, if we were actually teaching the virtues to the students, we, the educators, would be telling the students, you must be justice.

38:37.90 – 39:02.12

You know, Batman shows up and he's kicking hiney all over the place, and they say, who are you? And he says, I am justice because I'm delivering the truth. I'm delivering it to you. You know, but, which is a great line, by the way, but, but in our context, to, to deliver justice is to be honest. I mean, it's not to be the vigilante and go around town and kick a hiney.

39:02.36 – 39:25.18

It's to be honest. It's to demand justice from ourselves. for others. It's to demand honesty of ourselves. So when we teach students this, this, this, this philosophy, when we teach them these virtues, we are saying to them, look, your word means something.

39:25.88 – 39:47.60

It used to mean something back in the day. Your word means something. So I was, again, I'm, I'm, I'm revisiting the funerals from the weekend. I was having a conversation with somebody and he reminded me of a, of a conversation his grandfather had with my dad. Okay.

39:47.60 – 40:00.32

My dad's a young man in his thirties, raising a family of five. And he bought a piece of property from this person's grandfather.

40:02.18 – 40:29.96

And the, the person said to me, my grandfather told me about that house, that property you guys bought over there in the lake in Waterford, Michigan, and that he sold that property to your dad, my dad, his grandfather. He's saying, my grandfather sold that property to your dad on a handshake. They said, here are the terms. Do we agree on this? Yep.

40:30.00 – 40:34.60

We agree on it. It was a land contract in Michigan. We have this beautiful thing called land contract,

40:37.08 – 41:09.54

where a bank doesn't have to be involved. The, the seller of the property, can finance the, the, the purchase. And, and his grandfather sold this beautiful piece of lakefront property to my dad on a handshake because their word meant something. And when they shook hands on something and my dad said, yes, I will buy this property from you. And I will, I will give you these monthly payments at this interest rate.

41:11.18 – 41:16.32

Yep. We agree on it. And they shook hands. That was it. The deal was done.

41:16.86 – 41:18.72

The deal was etched in stone.

41:20.70 – 41:39.44

And this is how it used to be. It used to be this way because, because students were taught this. They were taught the virtue of justice. They, they, they were taught the virtue of, of truthfulness and honesty. That if you say you're going to do something.

41:41.04 – 42:03.22

and you commit to it, then, then you follow through with it. You, you, you do it. You do the thing that you say you're going to do. If you say you're going to buy a piece of property and you're going to, you're going to make these monthly payments to the person who owns the property, then you do that thing.

42:05.34 – 42:16.78

This, this is, this is virtue. This is honesty. And when we teach students this, it makes the student better.

42:18.40 – 42:27.34

It, it makes everybody better. And it makes the community better. And therefore it makes the country better.

42:29.28 – 42:36.56

Because, because my dad kept his word to this other individual, this person's grandfather,

42:38.20 – 42:40.40

it, it made the community stronger.

42:42.02 – 43:03.54

Because two individuals realized, oh, we can, we can trust each other. And not only did my dad keep his word, but the other individual selling the property kept his word. And he didn't try to, you know, take the property back, and, you know, once, once it increased in value, and say, oh, I'm, I still own it. I can sell it here for more money.

43:05.12 – 43:32.90

No, they agreed on a price and they stayed true to that agreement. This is, this is virtue. And this is what we need to bore into our kids and start demanding of them. And what we need to start demanding of our politicians. We need to start calling them out on these ridiculous bold face lies that they, just, they, just feel entitled to give.

43:33.34 – 43:43.10

All right. Tell you what, I'm up against the break, looking at the clock here. Let's pause here. I want to get into the Republican Party platform. in light of Kamala.

46:20.72 – 46:38.66

Okay, welcome back. Let's dive right into the Republican Party platform. Now again, looking at this stuff is important. We want to know what, you know, what do the Republicans stand for? What do the Democrats stand for?

46:40.54 – 46:46.94

And education is, it's a, it's a big thing to, to, to hang your, your voting hat on.

46:50.20 – 46:52.44

Trump is saying that,

46:54.48 – 46:58.40

that it's, it's, it's what he wants to do. He believes that,

47:00.72 – 47:04.92

that we need to completely overhaul education in this country.

47:06.56 – 47:36.06

And so their platform includes things like invalidating Biden's attempt to redefine Title 9 discrimination. That, my friends, is a big deal. Let's get rid of this leftist agenda of redefining what it means to be female. And that if a male says he wants to be a female, that he's a female. This kind of stuff is so backwards.

47:37.06 – 47:54.16

This, this kind of stuff is upside down. It's pretend. We live in a pretend world. But we're going to stop living in a pretend world. And this is what the Republicans are, are proposing, that we stop living in a pretend world, that a man is a man and a woman is a woman.

47:56.94 – 48:12.26

Trump said, if elected in November, he would turn the Department of Education back to the states. That's another big deal. It's, education isn't a national thing. It's a local thing. I like that.

48:13.78 – 48:35.02

Trump said that the GOP education program will cost less than half of what the federal government now spends on K-12 schools, while students will, quote, get a real education out of it. Because right now they're not getting a real education. They're being lied to. And I've told you, if your child is being lied to, they're not being educated.

48:36.56 – 48:55.48

If they're being told that two plus two is seven, they're being lied to, and that's not an actual education. It's no different with all this other mumbo-jumbo. they're being told. When a teacher or a counselor tells Johnny, yeah, you can be, Janie, they're being lied to, and that's not an actual education.

48:57.74 – 49:05.68

Trump said, you know, we're at the bottom of every list academically, except we spend more per pupil than any other country.

49:07.58 – 49:18.38

In fact, the US spent more than any of the 40 developed countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, OECD,

49:20.06 – 49:37.02

except tiny Luxembourg. And this is what the Department of Education initiative, this is data from the Department of Education. Matter. of fact, I've got those numbers right here. What did I do with those?

49:37.06 – 49:47.62

I was looking right at them earlier, and I'm just like, holy smokes, you gotta be kidding me. This is what we're, this is, this is who we are?

49:50.34 – 49:55.04

Where are those numbers? at? Public education spending statistics.

49:57.44 – 49:59.42

All right, I'll pull those up in a minute.

50:02.56 – 50:28.64

Luxembourg, by the way, we are, we're spending more than any other country except Luxembourg, and Luxembourg has a population smaller than the District of Columbia. And here we are, the great state of America, the United States of America, and we spend more, except for tiny Luxembourg. Okay.

50:30.20 – 50:48.84

US test scores are statistically tied near the bottom, with four other countries. Only Turkey, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia have worse results than we do. And this is according to the National Center for Education Statistics.

50:50.38 – 51:17.76

Okay, this isn't Trump getting up here, a la Kamala Harris, and just, you know, rattling off things that are going to make the party sound good and look good. This is actual fact. The National Center for Education Statistics reports that only Turkey, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Colombia post worse academic results than we do.

51:20.08 – 51:28.96

So there's things in this platform, here, that are designed to boost this.

51:30.98 – 51:48.88

So let's look at it. This is Chapter 7,, by the way, from their platform. And Chapter 7 is entitled Cultivate Great K-12 Schools Leading to Great Jobs and Great Lives for Young People. All right. So here we go.

51:49.00 – 52:15.78

This is what their commitment says. Our commitment, Republicans offer a plan to cultivate great K-12 schools, ensure safe learning environments, free from political meddling, and restore parental rights. We commit to an education system that empowers students, supports families, and promotes American values. Our education system must prepare students for successful lives.

52:17.42 – 52:35.52

and well-paying jobs. So there are nine points, and they're short. Okay, point number one, great principals and great teachers. That's got to happen. Republicans will support schools that focus on excellence and parental rights.

52:35.64 – 52:48.54

We will support ending teacher tenure, adopting merit pay, and allowing various publicly supported education models. All right. I like it. Number two,

52:50.22 – 53:09.72

universal schools. And here's why I like it, because if you're going to end teacher tenure, then, you know, teachers are just sticking around because they can't get rid of them. If they're not doing a good job, and they just sit around and say, well, I've got tenure. I can't be fired. No, no, no, no.

53:10.92 – 53:25.52

And adopt merit pay. Let's, you know, let's pay them both. I mean, if they're out there crushing it, then they deserve a little bit more money. Okay. Number two, universal school choice.

53:26.34 – 53:48.64

Republicans believe families should be empowered to choose the best education for their children. We support universal school choice in every state in America. We will expand 529 education savings accounts and support homeschooling families equally. All right. This is interesting.

53:50.06 – 53:58.30

The jury is still out, in my opinion, on what this universal school choice looks like, because I'm opposed to.

54:00.80 – 54:06.44

the government saying, yeah, this is government money in your school. So, yeah, we get to this side.

54:08.24 – 54:13.16

I'm opposed to government on any level, whether it's federal, state, or local.

54:15.10 – 54:57.16

Well, public schools locally, yes, a local school board should have complete, 100% control over what happens in that community. But when we're talking about universal school choice, then schools like mine, a private school, comes into play. And if tax dollars are going to follow parents to my private school, I want the tax dollars to be considered money that belongs to the parent, not money that belongs to the government that is then being given to my school, which therefore would give the government authority in how my school is run. I don't want that. I don't want the government.

54:57.54 – 55:16.64

So this is why, you know, for me, the jury is still out. We got to see what all this looks like, what these education savings accounts look like, the voucher system, however, it's going to happen. We just got to make sure that it's done right. And it's got to be done right. It can be done wrong.

55:18.26 – 55:23.80

I mean, the potential here is for this to be done. wrong is what I mean to say, and we want it to be done right.

55:25.42 – 55:50.48

So we could potentially get behind this. if it is. This depends on how it's handled. Point number three, prepare students for jobs and careers. Republicans will emphasize education to prepare students for great jobs and careers, supporting project-based learning and schools that offer meaningful work experience.

55:50.62 – 56:04.84

We will expose politicized education models and fund proven career training programs. I'm in support of the trades. I know. Waterbrook is a classical model,

56:06.36 – 56:21.38

but we support the trades. The trades are important. And there's got to be some hands-on education that is offered to our students. that's going to prepare them to enter these fields. We need carpenters.

56:21.50 – 56:31.66

We need plumbers. We need electricians. We need these individuals. And we need skilled people who know what they're doing. All right.

56:31.72 – 56:40.68

So point three is to prepare students for jobs and careers. Oh, holy cow. Would you look at the time? I'm up against it already. How did this happen?

56:40.72 – 56:50.20

I'm only on point three. I spent too much time on Kamala. I didn't mean to. But how can you not? I mean, you've got to tell.

56:51.32 – 57:00.72

We've got to talk about the truth around here. All right. Okay. We are up against it. I'm not going to get through all nine points, clearly, but I want to do it justice.

57:01.70 – 57:15.30

So let's pause here. We will pick up the Republican Party platform tomorrow, and we'll dive right into it. Okay. I won't dive right into it. I'll probably spend some time doing other stuff.

57:15.30 – 57:22.22

I mean, that's a possibility. But we will get into this platform tomorrow. Listen, in the meantime, I encourage you,

57:23.78 – 57:29.42

we'll call today part one. All right. Republican Party platform, part one. Tomorrow's part two. In the meantime,

57:31.12 – 57:38.54

pull up the platform. We'll look it up. I'll put it in today's show notes. I'll put it in tomorrow's show notes. But look it up on your own.

57:39.26 – 57:50.06

And you decide, is this what you want to vote for? Are these the people you want to support? All right. That's all the time we have for today, America. Thank you for joining me.

57:50.94 – 58:00.30

Encourage your friends and your family to get on the Dean's List. Share this show. Let's unite to renovate the age.
