00:02.18 – 00:07.02

A brand new season of Up and Vanished starts on February 16th.

00:07.20 – 00:11.64

This is a completely new season I'm hosting on a new unsolved missing persons case that

00:11.64 – 00:13.24

I've spent the last year investigating.

00:13.98 – 00:19.76

In 2020, 33-year-old Florence Akpialik went missing from the tiny town of Nome, Alaska.

00:20.36 – 00:25.06

In over four years, she's never been found and the police have zero leads whatsoever.

00:26.48 – 00:30.48

You're about to hear the latest trailer for the new season, but first I want to tell you

00:30.48 – 00:32.40

about how I'm doing things differently this season.

00:33.10 – 00:37.74

Up and Vanished started seven years ago, which is mind-blowing, and words can't express how

00:37.74 – 00:41.22

grateful I am for all of you who've listened and for everyone who supported our efforts

00:41.22 – 00:43.12

in trying to solve these cases over the years.

00:43.54 – 00:47.28

And now that we're in the fourth season, I want to present this case to you in a way

00:47.28 – 00:48.34

that I've never done before.

00:48.78 – 00:54.02

I want to bring you even closer inside my investigation and the podcast itself as it's

00:54.02 – 00:57.68

unfolding in real time each week, starting February 16th.

00:57.70 – 01:01.72

So every week this season, on the same day of the latest episode of Up and Vanished,

01:02.04 – 01:05.86

I'm going to sit down in front of the mic and take you behind the scenes of this show

01:06.50 – 01:11.72

and share with you raw, uncut tape, my personal thoughts on where it's going, and the latest

01:11.72 – 01:17.06

up-to-the-minute details on this very active case, a complete and total look behind the curtain.

01:17.80 – 01:22.46

And I'm going to do this every week on my own weekly podcast I started called Talking

01:22.46 – 01:25.64

to Death, which is already available now on your podcast app.

6Speaker 6
02:52.62 – 02:53.84

There's no license plate.

02:54.24 – 02:55.38

We heard gunshots.

02:55.56 – 02:56.52

Where were the gunshots at?

02:56.64 – 02:58.86

There was a red truck that followed us from the port.

2Speaker 2
03:00.04 – 03:04.64

The more you look into it, the more red flags there were.

03:06.28 – 03:11.42

It's like when you take down a serial killer, they give you information about all the other

03:11.42 – 03:13.42

unsolved cases that they were involved in.

03:14.42 – 03:18.40

They're aware that this person's covering this up, and they don't say anything.

4Speaker 4
03:19.78 – 03:26.04

We spent so much time looking for her and didn't have the help that we needed to find her.

5Speaker 5
03:26.60 – 03:33.22

Whether it was intentional or an effort to shut her up, she's clearly been murdered.

1Speaker 1
03:35.72 – 03:40.56
