2Speaker 2
00:04.26 – 00:14.12

Welcome to After Dark from the America Out Loud Talk radio network. I'm your host, Rob, and my co-host tonight is Heather Robinson of the New York Post. Heather, how are you tonight?

1Speaker 1
00:14.28 – 00:17.38

Doing fine. Exciting times, Rob. How are you?

2Speaker 2
00:17.58 – 00:41.26

I'm doing fine, thank you. Exciting times and things are constantly changing, I have to admit. We did our show on Friday. I had no idea that what we're going to talk about tonight was going to transpire so quickly. And, to be honest with you, I thought that it would happen, but maybe closer to the convention.

00:41.54 – 00:48.70

But we now see, Biden has decided not to run for the presidency in 2024.

00:49.72 – 01:25.26

. Either democracy is dead, or God spoke to Joe Biden and told him to drop out. Because, if you recall, he told Lester Holt that he was in it to win it, because he's the only candidate that could beat Donald Trump, as he beat him in 2020.. So I guess God spoke to him and told him to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, or Democrats, the media, and the party elites decided they know what is best for America. They wanted to pick the candidate of choice, although the people voted during the primaries, but they said, hey, you got it wrong.

01:25.88 – 02:13.56

And they decided to force Joe out in a coup. Whichever it is, Joe is out and Kamala is in, with no endorsement from the party head, former president, Barack Obama. My, oh my, what a difference a day makes that Biden said that, hey, I'm in it. And Hillary, we have to notice that he was saying this on Saturday night, and then Sunday morning that he was in it. And then, shortly before 1.40pm Eastern Time on Sunday, a letter is issued, and he said that he has decided that he's not going to run.

02:13.84 – 02:38.54

No, he's going to remain the president as of now. And things could change between now and tomorrow. But he said that he's going to stay, remain as president, but he's not going to run for the presidency in 2024.. And that just opens up the door to so many questions. If he's not going to run, why isn't he going to run?

02:39.54 – 03:12.32

Is it true, the obvious that we've always known, that he has been challenged cognitively and that physically he isn't up for the race? And we've been talking about this on After Dark for quite some time. Now, of course, the media, and I have to admit, the media on the left and some on the right, who have followed along with the narrative from the left. Now, here on After Dark, we didn't do it, and neither did the New York Post. But we have always called this out, that Joe was not cognitively fit to serve.

03:13.08 – 03:39.88

That being said, we also said that he should not be forced out by party bigwigs or the elites, and that the people should decide. In the election of 2024, we said the same thing of President Trump. When they brought all these Trump court cases against him, they found him guilty of 34 counts. We always said that the people should decide. That is what a democracy is for, and that is what the left have been screaming.

03:40.24 – 03:56.74

Democracy. Trump is going to destroy democracy. Trump is going to make it so that he's the only president. But now look at what's happening. The exact same thing that they have accused Trump of, they're doing by removing the that the people voted for during the primaries.

03:57.10 – 04:08.82

They could have voted for someone else. Robert F. Kennedy was running, and of course, it was difficult for him to get on the ballot. But the people voted for Biden overwhelmingly. There were other folks that were running.

04:09.44 – 04:32.20

So why now would they force him out? And we know the answer to that, because we've been talking about this since the Republican convention, that the party bigwigs got together. They saw the writing on the wall. They saw that he was not going to win against Trump, although they have thrown everything at Trump. They were hoping that all of these charges, people would say, oh, we don't want him.

04:32.28 – 04:47.12

We're not going to vote for him. But it didn't stop Trump. Trump was even almost assassinated. That didn't stop it. It was like this train, a bullet train that was just like storming through, was going to make it all the way to the election.

04:47.92 – 05:16.22

And then enter Barack Obama working behind the scenes. And we spoke about this on Friday, how he saw the numbers and was trying to get Biden to step aside. We also said on Friday that Barack Obama wasn't going to go to him directly and tell him to step down out of fear that Joe would have rejected him. I mean, Joe has been in politics for 50 years. He's run for the presidency for three, I mean, three times and didn't win.

05:16.78 – 05:33.94

So why would he want to give up at this point the job that he's always wanted for a lifetime? Well, the writing was on the wall. The party bigwigs elite said, we're going to close our purses. We're not going to give you any more money. And the money started to dry up.

05:34.58 – 05:57.32

And even with that, Heather, we have to realize that there were some small donations that were still coming in, which was going to make him viable. But from what I'm hearing, Nancy Pelosi had a frank conversation with him and said, Joe, step aside. You can't win. Now, she was telling him this behind the scenes. Of course, on TV, she was saying, well, Joe's got to decide.

05:57.46 – 06:10.10

Let's wait. But they were working behind the scenes to get rid of him. And finally, there was a coup. They decided to take democracy from the people and decide themselves. We want him out.

06:10.10 – 06:30.38

We will decide who should run. And I've got to caution everyone. Although Joe gave Kamala a tippet endorsement, because we've got to remember that Kamala is the same person who, during the primary of 2020, accused Joe of being a racist. Now, fast forward. Joe steps out.

06:30.94 – 06:52.46

He gives her a tippet endorsement. She still doesn't get the top spot until the convention. And remember, before Joe resigned, before he stepped down, they were trying to change the party rules so that they could go ahead and nominate him prior to the convention. It would have been a done deal. But they knew that all eyes were on them.

06:52.78 – 07:14.70

So they said, oh, let's not do it. Let's wait. But they were able to accomplish what they've been trying to accomplish by stopping democracy, kicking Joe out, and then anointing the person that they want. But still, they have the convention in August. So between now and August, a lot could change.

07:14.82 – 07:16.36

Heather, what are your thoughts?

1Speaker 1
07:18.14 – 07:52.36

Well, I am not convinced that Kamala has even been anointed. The whole thing seems up in the air. I mean, if the bigwigs, Obama and Pelosi, and Obama specifically said, you sent me that article, Rob, I'm just referring to it here, that something about how we are going to pick a very special nominee or something, and it's to be revealed. yet. I'm just paraphrasing.

07:52.56 – 08:35.22

Those weren't his exact words. I mean, to me, it sounded a lot like he was not giving his blessing to Kamala being the nominee, which prompts the question, is he hoping that slot goes to his wife? I mean, I personally think the only thing conservatives have to fear at this point is Michelle Obama. I, you know, and I'm going to go out on a limb here. And as you recall, Rob, several weeks ago, I did predict, well, it was a brilliant woman I know who kept telling me months ago, they're going to dump Biden.

08:35.86 – 08:43.60

You know, these Democrats are so slick. He's enfeebled. They're going to find a way. They're going to get rid of him. She knew it.

08:43.64 – 09:22.22

She was right. And now I'm going to go out on a limb and predict they're going to dump Kamala too. They are going to just, you know, as you said, I mean, they're going to find a way to muscle in somebody who they think has odds of winning, because I don't think that Kamala can beat Trump. And what concerns me, even though it would be, I mean, I don't know all the election regulations and all that. But I mean, it seems to me pretty undemocratic also to just push somebody else in.

09:22.32 – 09:37.62

I mean, how can they possibly know at this late juncture when there's no primary? I mean, what would they do? Hold another primary or something? I don't know. But I think they're going to try to maybe, you know, put in somebody they think has better odds.

09:39.68 – 09:52.44

Yeah, I do. I'm just looking for that article about where Barack Obama doesn't endorse. Kamala Harris, says Dems will pick an outstanding nominee.

09:54.14 – 09:59.60

Gee, I wonder who he has in mind. Could it be someone he's married to?

2Speaker 2
10:00.44 – 10:18.38

You know, a lot of people have been saying they think that Michelle will eventually be the nominee. That's the reason why the convention is in Chicago. I don't see it. I don't think she wants a political life after retiring from it. We're not retiring from it.

10:18.42 – 10:23.72

But after Barack served his two terms, I think she knows how cutthroat it is.

10:25.40 – 10:52.10

I mean, and I know that the party isn't enthused over Kamala. They're not taking healthy sale, which I would encourage some of our listeners to go to americaoutloud.shop and get you some healthy sale, a healthy heart or ACA redux. We know that they're not taking that. And those are all supplements that would help you, you know, to weather the storm. I think that a lot of them, either.

10:52.10 – 11:13.22

there are a couple of people whose names they've thrown about, they say that are possible contenders who could possibly run. And I'm just going to mention some of them. Of course, Kamala, Gretchen Whitmer, Josh Shapiro, Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, Pete Buttigieg, and then Andy Beshear. They're saying that these people could possibly run.

11:13.40 – 11:33.04

But Gretchen Whitmer has said no show. Gavin Newsom has said no way. Now, we know that none of them would play second fiddle to Kamala. Kamala is not designed to lead. Kamala never won a primary or a caucus when she was running in 2020..

11:33.28 – 11:58.76

She stepped aside because she was polling so poorly after Tulsi Gabbard exposed her of being the person that she is. So none of them want to hitch their wagging with her. Now, I think that the governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, might possibly consider it, or Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania. They might possibly say, hey, let's go ahead and do it. I don't think they have aspirations of wanting to be the president.

11:59.82 – 12:03.44

Like these other people, Gretchen Whitmer and Gavin Newsom and J.

12:03.44 – 12:23.08

B. Pritzker, they want to be the president. At some point, I think that they feel that they can do it. So I doubt seriously that they would hitch their wagging against Kamala, knowing that that's a very risky position to be in. Because if she doesn't win, our hopes of becoming the president really goes down in flames.

12:24.30 – 12:50.78

So it begs the question, would—and they would not hopscotch over her? because we've been talking about that ever since they've been asking Biden to step down. No one really mentioned Kamala's name as being the contender. I mean, only within the recent days have they said Kamala, Kamala, Kamala because she's a vice president. When I say no one, not referring to here us on After Dark, because we've always said that would be Kamala.

12:51.18 – 13:18.08

But the commentary, the world of commentators, they always mentioned Gavin Newsom or Gretchen Whitmer or Josh Shapiro. Those were always the names that were floated about. And you and I, we even said that if they were to hopscotch over her and pick a white woman, it would be doomsday. They said it definitely with the white man. So I think the Democrats have put themselves in a pretty nice pickle jar that they can't get out of.

1Speaker 1
13:18.64 – 13:23.38

Except, you know, the only thing we have to fear, you know,

13:25.02 – 13:33.80

that's their way out, Rob. If they get her to run, then we got problems. But let's just hope she doesn't want to do it.

2Speaker 2
13:34.02 – 13:37.98

And it's all about power. It's all about power. So I would say between now—.

1Speaker 1
13:37.98 – 13:39.84

It would be a third Obama term. It would be a third Obama term.

2Speaker 2
13:39.84 – 13:42.08

And a lot of people want that.

1Speaker 1
13:42.20 – 13:57.42

A lot of people want—and that would solve their identity politics problem, you know, that they have constructed with their obsession with race and gender. You know, they can't, as you point out, they can't go against their own orthodoxy, can they?

2Speaker 2
13:58.02 – 14:02.02

But it would be an all-out war. It would be all-out war on the floor.

1Speaker 1
14:02.04 – 14:20.30

She's a threat, Rob. She would be, you know—I mean, the question is, would a lot of people really vote for her? She has no political experience. She was just enormously popular. And, I mean, I think everyone knows if they vote for her, they're basically voting for Obama.

14:21.08 – 14:26.38

But remember the enormous love and the cult of Obama.

14:28.46 – 14:46.52

I also don't frankly know if it's kosher. I don't know if you can do that. I mean, you could just, like, install somebody in there. Would they have to hold another primary and, like, run her against Kamala or something? You know, I don't know.

14:46.62 – 15:08.12

But I know it would solve their problems. if they really want this. I shouldn't be saying this because I hope they don't figure out a way to do it. Because I think that's the only thing that could, you know, really spell problems at this point. Because, yeah, I mean, the country knows that they've been hiding Biden's infirmity.

15:08.50 – 15:33.02

I mean, I think enough people are finally seeing, you know, fed up with them. But, you know, if they could find some enormously popular figure like that and really harp on the abortion issue and get all the women riled up and the suburban women. and, you know. Plus, remember, the Obamas projected a more moderate image. I don't really think they were moderate.

15:33.60 – 15:51.26

But they were a little moderate than what's come since then, you know. I mean, the times were different. But, I mean, Barack Obama, I didn't think he was a very good president. I didn't appreciate his appeasement of Iran and etc. But he certainly wasn't as bad as Joe.

15:51.26 – 16:04.00

And he wasn't as far gone, you know, with the woke-ism and the extremism. And so, I mean, it does concern me. But anyway, let's not give them ideas, huh?

2Speaker 2
16:05.86 – 16:42.62

Yes, Heather. I hear what you're saying, that they could possibly do that, pick Michelle Obama. But then the question becomes, would she be able to put together a ground game within that period of time in order to run, and also the money that she and Biden — not she, but Kamala and Biden — raised, $200 million in a war chest, that money just wouldn't go to Michelle. It would remain with Kamala and with Biden. Now, would they have enough donors to donate money to Michelle?

16:42.90 – 17:07.46

Let's say that they did. But then it comes to the ground game. Would they be able to put together a ground game in order to run an election whereby Michelle could win? I think they would have to look at key states — Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan — and focus on those key states and say, hey, we can win these states, and then try to run the board. Other than that, it's not going to happen.

17:08.18 – 17:21.40

I don't think that — yes, she's popular. But she's not as popular as most people think she is. Oprah Winfrey is popular. Remember, at one point, they floated her name around. Oh, Oprah can win, Oprah can win.

17:21.48 – 17:39.28

But I think that Oprah probably went and did the numbers to see, is it possible for me to be the president? And she probably realized in the polling, it's not possible. There is no path to victory. And it's all about the path to victory, even if you have all the money, even if you have the ground game. Will people come out and vote for you?

17:39.46 – 18:05.78

I don't think that a lot of people would come out and vote for Michelle, because it's almost they're saying, OK, although you voted for Biden, and by de facto, Kamala is connected to him, he won during the primaries, and if he can't fulfill his constitutional duties, it would go to Kamala. But because that didn't happen, we don't like her. We're just going to go ahead and give it to Michelle. And we know that you guys like Barack Obama, so vote for her. Yeah, some people would look at that and say, oh, yeah, this is great.

18:06.18 – 18:17.64

But then there are others who would feel cheated. There are independents who would look at this and say, here we go again. Look at the corruption. We're not going to allow this. And they probably just won't come out to vote.

18:18.00 – 18:23.38

And we hear people saying that now. Well, I don't like Biden. I don't like Trump. So I'm not going to vote at all. To me, that's ridiculous.

18:23.94 – 18:37.60

You've got to pick. You've got to choose. Because when you don't and things start happening, you don't get the right to complain. You just shut up and accept it. So I don't think that Democrats would be able to pull that off.

18:37.64 – 18:49.24

As popular as Michelle is. And it just goes back to, does Michelle want it? And you've got to be at the convention. And you always got to remember, there are the superdelegates. The superdelegates will have the final say.

18:49.40 – 19:02.20

21:27.20 – 21:47.22

Back with the second half of the show. And when we went to break, we were talking about the Democrat Convention and if they will keep Kamala at the top. We know that the Republicans just came off their convention. It was spectacular. It went off flawlessly and they got a lot of kudos.

21:48.64 – 22:16.22

But, just like the Republican Convention before it started, the game changed because Trump was almost assassinated. Now we're looking at the Democrat Convention and things have changed also. And I think that all eyes and ears will be on that convention, Heather, come August. But I think the question that everyone will be asking is, will it be Kamala? She has, between now and then, to select a VP.

22:16.66 – 22:47.10

I think that she's going to stay in it. I think she's going to try to do the best she can. So it would behoove her to pick a VP as soon as she can. But there are going to be so many questions that are going to be, I would say, that's going to be haunting her on Joe deciding not to run. I think that the best course of action that he should have done, that I think would have helped her is he should have just said, not only am I going to run, but I'm going to step down from the presidency.

22:47.38 – 23:07.80

I think that would have made a more viable path for her. That way she could say, I am the president and I'm now running. And within that short window, people could see how she's going to, I guess, behave as the president. But had she done that, I think there would have been all complete chaos in the world. I think that Russia would have completely done whatever it wanted to do.

23:07.92 – 23:26.88

I think that China, Xi would have gone into Taiwan. I think that Iran would have done things that they shouldn't have been doing. I think there just would have been a number of things taking place. It begs the question, again, who's going to be the president come this,

23:29.10 – 23:43.82

in August? Who's going to be at the convention? But I think that Biden did her a complete disservice by not just saying, I am just going to resign and allow her to assume the presidency. What do you say, Heather?

1Speaker 1
23:44.96 – 23:50.18

Interesting. Well, gosh. So many ways to look at that.

23:57.34 – 24:14.04

Maybe it's like, as you know, I'm going out on a limb. I don't think she's going to be the nominee. I think they're going to pull something. As you know, I don't think the democratic establishment has any principles whatsoever. I think they're all about power.

24:14.68 – 24:25.20

If they can pull some kind of bait and switch, they're going to do it. Unless they just decide to let this one go, because she's going to lose to Trump.

24:27.32 – 25:12.56

I hate to say it, but their playbook basically consists of bashing Trump and all Trump supporters as racist, homophobe, evil people. If they just go hog wild on that again and scare the women about abortion and scream and go crazy for the next four years and divide the country while they complain that it's Trump dividing the country. I mean, essentially, if they return to their playbook that they did the first time, it made it almost impossible for him to govern. And then they just angle for the next election. You know, I mean, I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but I do think, you know, I don't think highly of them, as you know, and I think that's their strategy.

25:13.36 – 25:21.26

So in other words, they're basically, I think if they go with Kamala, they may just be setting their sights on 2028.

25:22.64 – 26:05.30

. I think they have so little respect for rules or fairness. You know, I mean, I don't know. If there's a way for them to kind of insert somebody else who they think would have a real chance, maybe they'll try to do that. I was trying to think about in history any kind of precedent for this, and it is unprecedented, but I believe it was Johnson, LBJ, not because of infirmity or, you know, mental decline, but he stepped, he didn't step down from the presidency, but he declined to run after his term, his first term.

26:05.80 – 27:06.58

And there were certain historical similarities in the sense that, you know, he, contrary to the way historians and a lot of commentators like to remember it, Vietnam was, you know, really the Democrats' war, remember? Kennedy got us in a little bit, and then Johnson initiated the draft and the quagmire and the disaster of Vietnam. And then, I think, once it became clear there was no winning it decisively, just as is the case with this Ukraine mess, you know, it became clear to anyone with a brain that it just, we weren't prepared to go to World War III over it, nor should we have been. And it was not existential to America, and so Americans weren't going to just pour endless American boys' bodies and treasure into this. And so I think that Johnson bowed out partly because of that, and it was left to Nixon to actually end the war.

27:07.08 – 27:37.72

He ended the draft, and he eventually ended the war. And I think that there's a similarity here, you know, among all the other problems, that that's a, you know, a tic-tac-toe game with no way to win, which you and I have been talking about for two years now. I guess. finally, the Democrats are waking up to that, and that could be one of the numerous reasons that, you know, they don't, you know, they can't end it now. They've poured in hundreds of billions, and there's no end in sight.

27:38.30 – 28:09.66

His whole presidency, he's basically made the wrong call about pretty much everything. The economy's a mess. The border's a mess. You know, I think, so, I mean, it kind of reminds me of, you know, I wasn't alive then, but what I've heard of, you know, Johnson stepping aside. It also reminds me of Jimmy Carter's presidency in the sense that it was, you know, malaise and inflation, and the humiliation of America grabbing American hostages.

28:10.78 – 28:41.36

You know, still, we have, as we've often noted, we've had several soldiers, American sailors, killed on Biden's watch with no response toward Iran. We've had Americans being held by Hamas, you know, he never talks about that. We have our allies under siege, you know, and it's very similar. And so, I mean, I think, on some level, they basically know, Joe's messed it up. They've all messed it up.

28:42.06 – 28:56.22

You know, I'm not saying that the left, the Democrats, have absolutely no valid issues or concerns, but they can't do foreign policy. They never could. And domestically, we're not doing too well either.

28:58.16 – 29:41.22

Maybe they just kind of, I mean, on the other hand, they're so, the elites, the power brokers, Obama, Pelosi, whoever else, they're so hungry for power. I would say, I would give them credit and say, maybe they're just gonna, you know, let this one slide, let the Republicans come in and try to fix some of their mess. And, you know, think in terms of 2028, but they're too power grasping for that. I, you know, I just, I can't predict what they're going to do, but except that I know it'll be more negativity, more divisiveness, while accusing Trump of being the divider. And we're just going to have to be so positive.

29:41.58 – 30:13.94

Just, and I, you know, I give Trump tremendous credit, as we always do, for his strength and resilience. He's a brave man. He's a, you know, a force. One thing I really wish he hadn't mentioned, honestly, would be the other night at the convention was I wish he had not referred to the last election as having been stolen. Not because, I mean, I think there probably was a lot of shy staying and I think we'll probably never know exactly what went on there, but I think the country wants to move on from it.

30:14.42 – 30:23.68

And I think it's very, very important that he be positive and be that uniter as much as he can, in contrast to their negativity.

2Speaker 2
30:24.50 – 30:44.04

I agree what you said. But I also, I find it interesting that the left can mention elections being stolen and no one says anything about it. But the moment conservatives or people on the right mentioned that they just have a completely big here is on fire. But I want to go back to. you mentioned LBJ 1968.

30:44.04 – 31:15.44

when he saw that he wasn't going to win the election. He decided to step aside and say, hey, I'm not going to run this year. I'm going to remain the president, but I'm not going to run and give someone else the opportunity to run. Of course, we know that it ended up with Nixon winning. And I think that what we're looking at today is slightly different, in that Joe Biden, the reason why he's not running other than the party donors saying we're closing our purses, they're openly saying this.

31:15.44 – 31:30.74

We are shutting down our purses. And that is a story that we have to cover. That is huge, because the left is always saying that Trump is going to steal democracy. Trump and his cronies, Trump and Russia, they're going to run the country. Trump is going to give the country away.

31:31.10 – 31:58.76

But now we see that with the Democrats, it's not what the people say. It is actually the cronies within the party that are running things. Remember, after that failed debate and what's his name came out. George Clooney came out and said Biden's got to step down. He handed a letter to a letter to the opinions page of the New York Times, I think it was Wall Street Times or the New York Times and Wall Street Journal saying that Joe Biden needs to step down.

31:59.76 – 32:15.64

And people never said, wait a minute, he doesn't get to decide. Who is he? And then you had other people coming out in Hollywood saying he needs to step down. You had Michael Douglas saying he needs to step down. I'm like, wait, these people, they don't get to decide.

32:15.94 – 32:36.66

It's the people, and people were treating it as if, though, well, if they said it, then obviously he needs to. I'm thinking, wait a minute, what type of country are we living in that? no one is going to call these individuals out? They're telling the American people, your vote doesn't count. What we say goes and you need to shut up and you need to do it.

32:37.88 – 32:49.96

Rob Reiner did the same thing. Oh, he needs to step down. And these are all individuals who had previously said, oh, Joe, he's smart. Joe, he doesn't have a cognitive problem. Oh, don't listen to what Trump is saying.

32:50.06 – 32:56.46

Oh, he's lying again. And they love to say he's lying. And of course, everyone jumps on it. Joy Reid, the woman of the view. Oh, he's lying.

32:56.56 – 33:11.08

Joe Scarborough. What happened now? These people should be called to task. We should go to them and say, why have you been lying? And Karine Jean-Pierre, who came out Friday and said, oh, Joe, he's smart.

33:11.18 – 33:22.74

He outwits all of us. He's always going. They have been lying to us and they continue to lie. So why should we believe them? And all of those people who are saying, oh, well, it doesn't matter.

33:22.80 – 33:38.22

I'm still going to vote for Joe, even if he's suffering cognitively because someone else is running the White House. You're OK with that? I mean, think about what you're saying all this time. You're saying, no, Trump, Trump, Trump. It is because the media has indoctrinated you into thinking that.

33:38.64 – 33:55.80

People don't know Trump, but they would behave and act as if, though, they do. Because if they knew him, they would know that prior to him running for the election, everybody loved him in New York. All the celebs loved him. Everyone wanted a piece of Trump. But then, when the media got to it, they decided, oh, no, we want everybody to hate him.

33:55.80 – 34:11.94

now. You're allowing the media to manipulate your thought process and you don't even realize it. You think that you're smart, but you're not. Now, I'm not saying this to our listeners, because I know that our listeners are tuned into this and they see it. But others, they don't see it.

34:12.28 – 34:24.30

They're just going along with whatever the media says. And if the media says, hey, you should jump off the bridge, some of them, well, you know, I thought about it. Maybe we should. Maybe there's a soft landing. No, there isn't a soft landing.

34:24.88 – 34:38.16

It's reality. And this is the party who seems to think that a man could have a baby. And I posted that on my personal Facebook page, Heather. They were saying that Trump is going to take away women's rights. And I'm like, wait a minute.

34:38.28 – 34:55.28

It's Joe Biden who's allowing women, I mean men, to fill the positions of women. Are you serious? No response. They danced right over that, which is what they're doing now. They know that Kamala is not, I mean, let's just be honest, she's not fit to serve.

34:56.04 – 35:08.40

But they're going to push her out there. They're going to have everyone thinking, oh, she's the greatest person and she's smart and she can do this. But if she debates Trump, the first thing they'll say is, oh, it's not fair. He can't say this. This is off limits because she's a woman.

35:08.54 – 35:25.28

He can't say that because it's not fair, because he's racist. Oh, and we know that he's not going to treat her right because she's a woman and she's a racist. What does that have to do with running the country? If she's going to step into the kitchen, she's subject to get burned at some point. But what does that have to do with anything?

35:26.14 – 35:32.66

They had even started with JD Bass. Oh, well, he can't say this and he's going to mistreat her. He's going to do this. So what? You say?

35:32.66 – 35:53.72

that women can do whatever a man can do. So she should be able to get in the ring and take a punch. Maybe that's the reason why Barack Obama hasn't endorsed her, because he knows this will be the next play by the Democrats. Oh, you can't touch her because she's a woman. So we're just supposed to let her just go through the whole thing and just be anointed, without even challenging her on any of her policies.

35:53.94 – 36:04.08

And what policies does she have? She failed with the border. She's supposed to be the border czar. No one is talking about that. She was supposed to be the border czar.

36:04.22 – 36:14.52

And apparently behind the scenes, she said, I don't want that. I don't want to do that. I want something else. I want something else, more glamorous. Well, Kamala, as a vice president, doesn't get more glamorous than that.

36:14.74 – 36:23.78

She should have taken that and run with it, ran with it. But she did it. She obfuscated. She stayed away from the border. She didn't like that assignment.

36:24.62 – 36:26.90

So now she gets. Go ahead.

1Speaker 1
36:27.44 – 37:05.80

I'm sorry, Rob. I was just going to say, just for the historical perspective, yes, when LBJ declined to run, it was his vice president, Hubert Humphrey, who ran and Nixon won. So, you know, history is any guide. That was the closest thing to a precedent to this, although it really isn't the same, because it wasn't like LBJ was pushed out for being mentally incompetent. But he stepped aside and it was his VP, Hubert Humphrey, who ran and lost.

2Speaker 2
37:06.30 – 37:13.28

Right. He stepped aside because he saw that there wasn't a path to victory. the same way Joe Biden now sees. So. they say there's no path to victory.

37:13.64 – 37:20.74

And where is Joe? When Lyndon B. Johnson decided not to run, he came out and gave a presser. He addressed the world. He addressed the country, rather.

37:21.38 – 37:44.26

Biden hasn't done that. So that just fuels the question as to his ability to continue in that position. He should really step down him. He should step down, give her a clean slate and allow her to run, allow her to do so without any baggage. I know that they're going to probably pardon Hunter, but he should allow her to run without any baggage.

37:44.64 – 38:04.10

And Jill should come out, endorse her and say, I support my husband. But if Barack Obama is not going to do it, why should she do it? Why should she come out and endorse her? She doesn't like Kamala. I doubt, seriously, do not doubt me when I say this, that she's going to come out and give Kamala a glowing endorsement.

38:04.32 – 38:18.46

She doesn't like her. for what Kamala said about Joe in 2020, about him being a racist. She is not going to forgive her. So Kamala is not going to get that endorsement. And something else I want to throw at you guys.

38:18.46 – 38:35.02

Remember, Joe Manchin, who left the Democrat Party? Well, apparently there's talk that he's possibly going to challenge Kamala at the convention. Do you think it's going to matter? Well, we'll be back and we'll discuss that. after this brief commercial break.

38:35.24 – 38:40.52

40:32.98 – 40:58.72

Heather, I've got to say, we have covered a lot of ground. So much is happening. And I'm sure by the time we, while we're on air, something else is going to transpire. I mean, it's one of those days whereby things just keep happening. And, to all of our listeners, we're planning on doing a Facebook live show pretty soon, because there is so much that's happening and we want to engage and we want to connect with you.

40:58.72 – 41:36.18

So stay tuned. Heather and I are planning on doing a live show, because, man, I mean, Heather, when we left on Friday, as I said during the opening of the show, I saw this coming to head, but not so quick. And I thought maybe Joe would be able to, you know, stay in this and, you know, bat off all the critics and say, I'm not going anywhere. So it begs the question, what precipitated this quick turnaround? that he decided, OK, I'm not going to run, but I'm going to remain as president?

41:37.36 – 41:52.22

I mean, and I heard that his brother put out a statement and said that something about his health was deteriorating rather quickly. And we know that he had contracted COVID again. I think this is the second time. But I'm not sure.

41:53.74 – 41:54.26

Really?

1Speaker 1
41:54.58 – 42:26.28

Who knows? Well, I mean, I'm just. I mean, it kind of precipitated this, this turn, you know, him saying, well, you know, if my doctor says I have COVID and if my doctor says something's really, you know, wrong, then I might reconsider. It's almost a little like the little kid who's not wanting to go to swim practice saying, you know, I don't feel good and I really want to go. But then again, you know, I don't know.

42:26.36 – 42:38.90

I mean, I'm just speculating the whole, you know, I mean, I don't mean to be so cynical, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Democrats just came up with that to help ease him out, you know.

2Speaker 2
42:39.48 – 43:01.68

But let's say that he did. Is it more dire than what they've been telling us? Because we haven't seen Joe and you would think Joe would have come out and addressed the nation that he's decided not to run. I mean, considering that every day during the convention, he was coming out on Twitter saying, oh, I'm going to run. I'm going to beat him.

43:01.68 – 43:11.08

And he was attacking Trump. He went to Lester Holt. He was attacking Trump, albeit he was making mistakes. He forgot the name of his secretary of defense, Lloyd Austin. He called him the black man.

43:11.24 – 43:22.20

I'm surprised that, well, I'm not surprised that the Democrats didn't say, oh, that's racist. Why did you say that? You know, because that's the party that loves identity politics. But something that I mentioned, go ahead.

1Speaker 1
43:23.10 – 43:26.42

Well, he has said many racist things, Joe.

2Speaker 2
43:26.60 – 43:27.40

Yeah, he has.

1Speaker 1
43:28.24 – 43:36.14

Some of the worst for her, unlike the black community, the Latino community has diversity of thought and opinion.

43:37.78 – 44:00.78

He said, if y'all don't vote for me, you ain't black. And I mean, personally, I think a lot of what he said is more racist than anything Trump's ever said. But nobody seems to care about that, because he's Joe and he's the nice guy. So, you know, so much for critical thinking. But I mean, I don't.

44:00.78 – 44:13.66

I'm not saying he's a virulent racist who seeds with hatred for a certain group of people. I'm just saying I think my sense of him is that he's an older white guy who has a rather paternalistic and,

44:15.48 – 44:34.44

you know, just out of touch. View of black Americans. Yes, I do. I think he obviously doesn't listen to a show like this. or, you know, have any intimate knowledge of the range of political opinion among brilliant black thinkers in this country?

44:34.44 – 44:56.26

for him to have said something like. there's no diversity of thought, you know, compared to the Latino community. I mean, I was personally very offended. I was very angry when he said that because of the brilliant black thinkers in this country, including you. And I, you know, I just think, you know, people just believe what they want to believe.

44:57.68 – 45:25.92

You know, I thought that was, that was a horrible thing to say and totally out of touch and ignorant. But, you know, we're being told, oh, no, no, Joe, so not, by the way, I don't even think he's ever been that nice a guy. You heard him at the at the debate, you know, when Trump and he were talking call, it was a little silly. They were arguing about their swing or whatever. And Trump finally had the sense to say, well, let's not act like children.

45:26.64 – 45:43.04

And Joe said, you are a child, you know. My point is, you know, I'm not saying Trump's always so statesman like either, but neither is Joe. Oh, I mean, what's so elegant and, you know.

45:46.18 – 46:03.88

Elevated and consistently lovely, and. I mean, he's not exactly. I don't know, I'm trying to think of somebody who's like the ultimate statesman and gentleman. I don't think there are too many anymore. But I mean, he's not.

2Speaker 2
46:03.88 – 46:37.80

Well, we know that Barack Obama isn't the statesman of the gentleman, because, as I said, he would have come out and put it into a lot of the chaos that's taking place right now. But he's chosen not to, because I think somehow he likes it, because he's able to put forth his agenda. But when we get to break, I was mentioning Joe Manchin, who could be the dark horse in all this. He could possibly give Kamala run for money at the convention. We know that he decided to leave the Democrat Party because he felt that Joe was doing such a horrible job with the border and with so many other things.

46:37.90 – 46:55.44

So he could go to the convention and challenge her. He's very popular. He was a senator from a red state. And everyone always questioned, oh, man, how was he able to survive? a Democrat in a red state was because he aligned his a lot of his policies and beliefs with that of the Republican Party.

46:55.56 – 47:19.68

He made sense. But then he started jumping on the Democrat crazy bandwagon and the state of West Virginia said, we're not going to vote for you. He saw the writing on the wall and he decided to become an independent. And he also, I think, as of Saturday, he started to call for Joe to step down, that Joe should step down. So if he's calling for it, you know that, wait a minute, there's a huge change here.

47:19.94 – 47:37.46

So, now that Joe has stepped down, there are rumors that he could possibly challenge Kamala at the convention. I mean, let's just be honest, folks. A lot of people aren't on the Kamala Harris bandwagon. Barack Obama is yet to endorse her. I know that a lot of people are going to create this story with, well, he's not going to, because he want to wait.

47:37.74 – 47:48.32

He want to give everyone else a chance. What chance? She's the heir apparent. They said that same thing when Joe was running in 2020, when Barack Obama wouldn't endorse him. Oh, well, he's waiting.

47:48.60 – 47:55.72

He want to give everyone a chance. What do you mean? give everyone a chance? That was his vice president. He should have given him a glowing endorsement.

47:56.08 – 48:13.48

But instead, he stayed on the sidelines because he was looking at Pete Buttigieg, Beto O'Rourke or Kamala Harris. He thought that maybe one of them would pull it off. But they did it and they failed. Everyone thought that Beto O'Rourke was definitely going to be the candidate. But then he started to implode.

48:13.56 – 48:28.10

And it was like, well, wait a minute, this guy is kind of crazy. So it didn't happen. So the same thing is happening with Kamala. Barack Obama is hedging his bets. He's not going to go out on a limb and say, OK, it's Kamala, because he doesn't know how the donors are going to receive her.

48:28.46 – 48:42.90

And he doesn't want it to go down in history that he endorsed her and she didn't win. He's afraid to come out and do it the same way. he was afraid to call Joe on the phone and say, Joe, get out, because he knows that there was a lot of contention. I'm sorry.

1Speaker 1
48:43.02 – 48:57.68

Well, I'm glad. I'm sorry. I think I'm glad to hear that's your theory as to why I may be being a little paranoid and conspiratorial. I thought it was that he was planning to push his wife to do it. That's why I thought he didn't want to endorse her.

48:58.12 – 49:03.44

But, you know, because I'm scared of Michelle. I'll be honest, I think she could.

2Speaker 2
49:04.26 – 49:04.84

I see.

49:06.42 – 49:22.08

I don't see her as being a threat. I don't see her as being a threat. I think that he's waiting to see. I mean, and again, he could, we could get to the convention and they might throw her name out there. And I wouldn't wouldn't all be surprised if someone doesn't mention her name.

49:22.16 – 49:42.14

But I don't think that she's going to accept it. I don't think she likes politics. But there are the others, like the Joe Manchins, who probably think I could beat Trump. I could do a whole lot better than Kamala. This is about trying to save the Democrat Party so that they don't fail going downstream with the others that are running for the Senate and the House.

49:42.68 – 49:52.96

Some in the Democrat Party probably know she's not going to win this. But we don't want to go down in flames. Let's just support her. Do our best. Maybe she will.

49:53.12 – 50:02.46

Maybe she won't. But it doesn't look like she's going to. And right now the polls show that she's not going to. Things could change. We know how Democrats are, especially with the early votes.

50:03.66 – 50:28.34

And that's probably another reason why they decided to tell Joe, you've got to step out so that if there is early voting, people don't vote for you. And then that vote isn't counted. You need to step out now. Now, they would have probably preferred him stepping out back in, I would say, November, so that it would have given someone else the opportunity to run. But we keep talking about giving others the opportunity to run when Kamala is the heir apparent.

50:29.04 – 50:44.38

You see, they are so good at manipulating and controlling the narrative. We shouldn't even be talking about other candidates running against Kamala. It should be, he stepped down, it's Kamala. That's it. She needs to pick a vice president.

50:44.78 – 50:56.02

But what are we talking about? Well, will she make it to the convention? Will they support her? Because Democrats don't like her. It's okay for them to change the rules, but no one else could change the rules.

50:56.20 – 51:11.34

It's okay for them to question the rules. It's okay for them to talk about threats to democracy. This is a threat to democracy, with them removing Joe so that people can't vote for him. During the primaries, people voted for Joe. They voted for Joe.

51:11.90 – 51:31.64

So why aren't they getting Joe? They didn't vote for Kamala. If he wasn't going to run, he should have decided that back in November, so that her name could have been on the ballot and people could have said, we want her, her or someone else. But that didn't happen. And that's the question, Heather, that everyone should be asking.

51:31.84 – 51:40.52

Why did he wait? Why wasn't there an urge, an urgency to push him off back in 2023?. Why did they wait?

1Speaker 1
51:40.88 – 52:03.40

Just pushing him. I mean, where was their sense of responsibility toward the country? I mean, if they, you know, I mean, I get it that sometimes these things are precipitous, but he's been in decline for a while. And conservative media pointed it out. We were told we were being sensationalistic, you know, taking things out of proportion.

52:04.14 – 52:17.04

Meanwhile, yet again, the New York Post and others had it right. He was in decline. And, you know, where was their concern? You know, that's the part that I also think is angering. I mean, where was their concern for the country?

52:17.60 – 52:27.10

I mean, for everyone's well-being. He's, you know, corrupt. He's senile. He's engaged in all kinds of things. For all.

52:27.10 – 53:02.60

we know, you know, we're funding a war that, you know, has been pushed by someone who had corrupt interests in Ukraine, who's basically senile. I mean, we've been, I mean, there's just so many problems with this. And I know what you're saying, too. It's a little like they didn't take the step of invoking, what is it, the 25th Amendment, you know, the amendment declaring that the president is incompetent. I mean, there is a provision in the Constitution.

53:03.47 – 53:05.70

They haven't actually done that.

53:08.48 – 53:31.98

So, like, they're just kind of strong-arming him out. But they're not actually taking the proper kind of official step to do so. So is that, you know, really fair to the people, exactly? It's like they're not coming out and saying what the truth is. I mean, I get it.

53:32.04 – 53:55.08

In a way, they don't want to humiliate him. But it's like, I know what you're saying. I mean, is he incompetent or isn't he? If he is, they should do that or they should have handled it sooner. If he isn't, they're kind of just, you know, taking over and, you know, pushing somebody out who the people voted for.

53:55.08 – 54:03.36

I mean, it's just, any way you slice it, they've really got themselves in a mess of their own making.

2Speaker 2
54:04.46 – 54:13.34

They get themselves in a pickle of their own, making, wanting power. These are definitely interesting times.

1Speaker 1
54:13.82 – 54:16.96

Well, covering up, covering stuff. Yeah. Right.

2Speaker 2
54:17.16 – 54:33.80

And all of this should be answered. We should put these questions out there. Because if he can't run in 2024, after they told us that he could, why is he even trying to run the country? Because he can't do that either. And these are important questions.

54:34.24 – 54:51.80

And it should not be taken lightly. Because whenever there is a transition, that's when the adversaries seek to come in and cause chaos. We've always heard that. So why now doesn't it apply for the Democrats? Why do they, why does the media want us to think that everything is OK?

54:52.14 – 55:09.82

It's not OK. We are living in a very precarious situation. They have put us in a precarious situation. And it's not good. And this is because the media decided that Joe could win, knowing that it was because of them that he got to the White House in 2020..

55:10.14 – 55:29.54

And now they're saying, hey, Joe, we're not going to support you this time, because all eyes are on us. So you have got to do what's right and you need to step down. And by stepping down, we will anoint Kamala. Well, it's not really anoint Kamala, but she's the heir apparent. But, as we said, we know that there are some within the party that don't want her there.

55:29.82 – 55:41.94

I just read an article whereby one donor said that we're still not happy. We don't want her there. Well, the donors don't get to decide that. Well, they're not supposed to, but we know that they do. And this is what people have to understand.

55:41.94 – 56:05.32

You have people with a lot of money, a lot of influence who are coming in and they're controlling the way you vote. We saw this in 2020, when Jeff Zuckerberg went in and bought up all these little ads and all these little small towns to get out the vote. Now, Jeff Zuckerberg is saying, I am not going to do it. I'm not going to, in essence, I am not going to interfere. So a lot of people are afraid.

56:05.32 – 56:14.44

now. The writing is on the wall. Joe does not have that support that he had in 2020.. Jeff Zuckerberg is saying, hey, I'm standing out. I'm staying out of it.

56:14.52 – 56:23.24

And I'm just going to watch. I'm sorry. I said, Jeff, it's Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook. Thanks, Heather, for correcting me. I had a Joe Biden moment there.

56:23.80 – 56:42.18

I think I'm going to start using a Joe Biden moment. But yeah, he's saying that I'm not going to do it. Elon Musk is saying that I'm going to put all my support behind Trump. And something else we got to remember is that a lot of people, when they saw Trump almost assassinated, and he had the mindset to stand up and say, fight, fight, fight. I'm not going down.

56:42.44 – 56:50.28

That was a powerful moment. And although the media wants to say, oh, maybe he didn't get shot. Maybe he staged this. So he staged someone getting killed. Really?

56:50.44 – 57:01.60

Stop it. I mean, that's really conspiratorial theory. I mean, that's not even conspiracy. That's just plain crazy land. OK, but when people saw that, it brought back to who we are as Americans.

57:02.08 – 57:10.34

We don't stop. We fight. We fight. We fight. When they saw that determination, knowing that, hey, this man almost lost his life.

57:10.48 – 57:23.06

And he did. And all those who are in denial, shame on you. Shame on you. Because had the tables been turned and someone said that about Barack, people would be saying, oh, that's wrong. That's racist.

57:24.06 – 57:32.22

Shame on you. He could have lost his life. And we all know it. But he didn't. And he said, fight, fight, fight.

57:32.22 – 57:54.12

And I think that a lot of people were energized by that. No, it remains to be seen how that's going to translate at the polls. Because although they're saying, oh, Trump is ahead, we know that polls can be all kind of screwy and can mess up. But hopefully people are tuned in and they're watching this. And they see who the real threat is coming from when it comes to democracy.

57:54.68 – 58:10.02

Folks, you've been listening to After Dark on the America Out Loud Talk radio network. Hope you enjoyed the show. And we hope you will come back tomorrow. Because, as I mentioned, Heather and I, there is so much that's happening. Things are changing on a daily basis, on an hourly basis.

58:10.28 – 58:21.68

And we're doing our best to make certain that you are informed and tuned in. Good night. God bless America. God bless Israel. God bless our elected officials.

58:22.38 – 58:23.54

Hope to see you again tomorrow.
