00:02.26 – 00:17.80

The heart and soul of a nation beckons the call. The voice of our forefathers heard in the distance. A house divided against itself cannot stand. To reclaim our honor, our soul, the challenges of a generation call out.

00:19.52 – 00:30.42

Future generations hang in the balance. We choose liberty. This is the voice of a nation, of a nation, of a nation, of a nation. And now, Malcolm.

00:32.88 – 00:54.30

This was about the fastest news week, the cycle of news, that I have seen in a long time. And that's saying something, friends. That is saying something. What an incredible week of politics and news in our nation. And, you know, you think about it as we look at things over the weekend here, and you think this could have been a whole different turn of events.

00:54.50 – 01:15.08

Think about that, please. We could be in a whole different situation today. An amazing week, the RNC Convention, of course, the attempted assassination impact on, wow, on Donald Trump. That was just unbelievable. And by the grace of God, he was there to do the convention.

01:16.16 – 01:29.22

And it could have went a whole different way, friends. We'll talk a little bit about that today and a whole lot more. Welcome into the voice of a nation. It is Malcolm Outlaw here. Yours truly, always a privilege to be with you, my fellow Americans.

01:29.44 – 01:59.44

Thank you for joining me on the broadcast here. Now, this week, you know, I don't know about you, but I had chills running up and down my spine here, to be sure, for the news cycle this week. And I'll tell you what, I think that Donald Trump is a leader and is a historical figure. And this is where the left has played this so wrong. They have made him into a, really, think about it, truly, they made it into a hero, a folk hero.

01:59.82 – 02:18.06

Even before this, I mean, remember, his star was already rising before Butler, Pennsylvania. He was already rising. He was well ahead of the Biden camp and the campaign there, for sure, for a lot of reasons. And we know what many of those reasons are. We don't need to waste time repeating them here.

02:19.04 – 02:35.90

But, and then you see, with the turn of events, and I would say to you, if there was an event that was going to change your life, it would be a near-death experience. And that's it right there. That's exactly what he went through. And he knows it. He knows he escaped.

02:36.50 – 02:53.88

I mean, think about that. Just right there, you see, you see it in slow motion, you see those videos and that bullet just whizzed right by his head and nipped his ear. And it was remarkable, a miracle. You hear the words divine intervention a lot. You hear the words of that God was in play.

02:54.02 – 03:08.18

You hear all these things all week long. But what a week, what a convention, one of the most interesting conventions of our lifetimes. we've seen. What positive energy, incredible, the way he handled it. And of course, this time was a little different.

03:08.26 – 03:25.28

He came into the arena to watch it. He wanted to watch it as a spectator, as the rest of us were doing. Many times, as you know, in past times, the candidate does not come in to the arena. They stay out there until the final day and they have their grand arrival. But he was there.

03:25.50 – 03:49.58

But, you know, and I think what was interesting about that is people could get a sense of his body language, his facial expressions. They were very sober, very, very sober. He had a different aura about him, I think. And that's kind of where I'd like to start that point here and talk about this week here in the way that it is. On the broadcast today as well, let me just clue you in.

03:49.64 – 04:13.08

We've got a dynamic program ahead here. You know, we've got here two interesting fellows coming up a little bit later. Pastor Rick Stevens, I haven't talked to him in a long time, and Pastor Jeff Crippen will both be here. And, you know, Pew Research says four in ten American adults believe humanity is living in the end times. Are you one of those folks out there, I wonder?

04:13.86 – 04:38.42

Well, we're going to discuss the gravity of this situation and how current day events are putting into this, both the fear and the faith factor with people, how they're looking at this here. So that's going to be interesting here. And then also a question we'll pose up front with you. Where's the wisdom in 2024?? Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, George Orwell, Albert Einstein, Paul Harvey, one of my favorites here.

04:38.82 – 04:54.42

We'll take a look at that historically as well and how that's shaping up here. I'm going to start the broadcast, though, right up front here about the convention here. Welcome on. Daniel Baranowski joins me here. And Daniel is a weekly writer and author for the network here and just doing some marvelous stuff.

04:54.54 – 05:11.46

We'll talk a bit about a couple of his current pieces that he has up on the network. But I want to get right into the RNC right now, the convention. Let's not waste any time here dribbling the ball, Daniel. Let's take a shot for the hoop. So I was flabbergasted with the week, the news cycle, but also the way that convention went.

05:12.34 – 05:35.56

I mean, it was handled perfectly. I had not seen one go off so seamlessly as that one did. But the energy in the room and I think a lot of that had to be because he basically escaped Butler, Pennsylvania, just with his life in his hand there. But by golly, history could have wrote a whole different page there, couldn't it have? It could have, for sure.

05:35.76 – 05:53.08

Thank you so much for having me, Malcolm. I always feel at home when we're on the air with America Out Loud. You know, I love this network. I mean, but let's get to the convention. You know, let me back it up even a little bit more.

05:53.08 – 06:26.74

I was, I was sitting and watching television at 611 on Saturday, when that attempted assassination had. And I tell you, I my heart just absolutely sank. I mean, you know, I've been going through my own medical problems and I've got my leukemia has come back. I've been a little on the downside and I thought that was going to crush me. And when he got up and he did what he did, you know, you can't teach that.

06:26.86 – 06:45.08

That's just that's character. That's instinct to pop up the way he did. And I was so elated that he was, he was going to be fine. And then we hit the convention and my spirits were lifted. every minute of every day watching that convention.

06:45.28 – 07:02.46

Did you watch the whole thing? I watched the whole thing every last minute of it. Some sections of a, two or three times. It was really, it was so well produced and everything was so timely, and I can't think of anyone they had on. that didn't belong there.

07:02.54 – 07:15.10

That was out of place. It said the wrong thing. Let me ask you a question. When you watched it and I really want to know this for my own benefit. Do you watch it on a network, a television network like a, like a Fox or CNN, or one of those?

07:15.20 – 07:32.72

Or do you watch it on a on another, like a commercial free network? or what do you watch it on? I watch it on on two things, which I both taped. I watch it on Fox. But when the speeches were going on, a lot of times they talk over it.

07:32.74 – 07:40.52

They talk over the speeches. I hate that, Daniel. I hate it. Oh, it just drove me nuts. And and my wife keeps telling me to calm down.

07:41.62 – 07:52.94

And so I also watched it on CNN, because CNN didn't have anybody to interview. very much. I mean, so they just thought that the speeches play out. Oh, did they really? Did they?

07:53.12 – 08:09.76

Oh, yeah. And I heard it everything. And of course, then they ran it again at night without what, you know, now that they run the whole thing. or did they cut it up like MSNBC didn't run the whole thing? No, they ran the whole thing again in the in the early morning hours.

08:09.76 – 08:24.48

And you could also look at it on Fox Nation. And so they cut all that other stuff up. But God, the Hannity's and everybody else, it just they just he doesn't shut up for two minutes. I wonder what they even have guests. I don't even know why.

08:24.56 – 08:39.60

But he just he likes to hear himself talk, I think. And that whole crew in the evening now has gotten pretty much into the same thing. So, you know that I would switch back and forth. But but I saw it. And some, some of the things were just a little bit too long.

08:40.26 – 08:58.52

You know, and everyone's complaining about the second half of Trump's speech, which I didn't have problems with, because what are the complaints are that he went back to being Donald Trump? You know, like, I don't see that. I don't see that. I didn't either. But what did we miss?

08:58.56 – 09:27.64

Why are they saying that? I don't understand. Well, you know, that he went back to his rally approach to, and he was talking about all the the things that Joe Biden had done. and, and contrasting, you know, his presidency. And at the same time, it makes so much sense because if the one thing that I thought they should have done more of is they should have gotten into this discussion about what's going on with the Democratic Party, about not being so democratic anymore.

09:28.06 – 09:35.48

Now, who should have done that? on the, on the convention floor, you mean, or on the? yeah, some of the speakers could have could have gotten. Oh, OK. The speakers.

09:35.74 – 09:44.20

Yeah. You're not talking about the commentators. No, they stayed away from that altogether. And but that kind of well, hold on. But they did.

09:44.32 – 09:53.86

That was part of their goal, though. Wait a minute, though. That was part of their goal, I think, was to have more of a positive approach than do Democrat bashing, you know, right? Yeah. Well, I agree.

09:53.94 – 10:03.30

The irony of it is they end, you know, Trump in this last 30 or 35 minutes. That's where Trump went in his speech. And so, yeah. But wait a minute. He I didn't hear.

10:03.44 – 10:19.98

Now, let me just let's be real here a minute here. What I heard, I did not hear any serious bashing on his end. Now, tell me what I missed. What I heard was I heard, and I could be wrong here. But what I heard him from my world is where he brought up the policies and talked about the policies.

10:20.14 – 10:28.22

But I didn't see it as an angry. I didn't see it. He didn't blow any blood vessels or anything. I mean. Oh, no, no.

10:28.22 – 10:47.20

It was very, very subdued and it was very subtle. And you know, a lot of that stuff, I don't know, most of us know already, maybe he was still playing to a broader audience. But it's hard to believe that after 93 minutes, I think those. Well, I do think he went too long. I will give you that much.

10:47.22 – 11:03.04

And I'm going to say this to you. One of the rules of the business, and he should know this, but I don't know that he does. One of the rules is always leave them wanting more. In other words, always less is more. It's actually the golden rule in media.

11:03.36 – 11:15.78

It's the golden rule. You don't want to wear out your welcome. And I'm not saying he did that that day because I enjoyed the whole thing. to be straight with you. I was very captivated with his talk all the way through.

11:16.44 – 11:26.42

So I didn't serve, didn't have a personal problem with it. But I think it would have been maybe better served if he had done it or kept it inside of an hour. Is that right or wrong? That approach? Oh, that's right.

11:26.72 – 11:39.34

Absolutely. He could have cut it down to 45.. The most compelling part is the front part of that story. And that humanized him for those people who are looking for that. And everybody said that the next day.

11:39.48 – 11:53.72

I heard it every day. I think the problem the Republicans make too often is they use the word Democrats as a broad vernacular. They put it out there like it's all the Democrats. It's not all the Democrats, Daniel. And that's a mistake the Republican Party makes.

11:53.72 – 12:05.92

And I think they pissed off a lot of independents, moderates, and left of center people. What do you say to that? Absolutely. In fact, that's the problem that they're having right now. Take a look at who's going to determine who the nominee is going to be in the Democratic Party.

12:06.00 – 12:25.54

And it's going to be the elites. I mean, they're ready to go ahead and toss out all these people who went through the shab of a primary. And now you're going to have the Obamas or the Pelosi's and people like that decide who is going to be the nominee. unless Joe pushes through all the way. And I don't think he will.

12:25.84 – 12:26.54

I think what's going on.

12:26.54 – 12:29.90

. Well, hold on. You changed your mind then. You told me you thought he was. I know.

12:30.10 – 12:52.40

Well, I have. And I think what's going on now is negotiations. And it's how big the pot is going to be that he's going to walk away with, whether he's going to get a library, whether all the streets are going to change her name to Biden. I mean, I think that's what's going on right now is, yeah, I'll be happy to leave. But how much am I going to get out of this?

12:52.50 – 12:58.66

Am I going to be set up for life? Will my family be set up for life, with the donors who really want him out of there?

13:00.54 – 13:15.06

I think the whole thing is quite sore. So you think they negotiate in the back? There's some talk and negotiating going on, you think? I think that's what's going on. And they're saying in so many words, the pot's not exactly there yet, because they've got to know.

13:15.58 – 13:26.08

You know, he just can't make it till November. Well, he doesn't know. He doesn't. He hasn't convinced himself of that. He doesn't even know who he is anymore.

13:26.08 – 13:35.82

Exactly. I mean, it's ridiculous. And these last couple of things that he's gone through, he flubs all the time. He can't go through. It's a sad state.

13:36.04 – 13:59.74

It's a sad state. It's a sad reflection of everything, Daniel, our country, our people, everything. Do you think, putting him aside a moment, no matter what happens there, you know, one of the things I'm seeing is there's a lot of confidence out there. I want to warn everybody right now, and I want to get your opinion of them being too overconfident, the Republicans, I'm saying. Too overconfident, that could be a problem, couldn't it?

14:00.20 – 14:24.40

It sure could, especially since the RNC was so early in this cycle, you've got a long way to go. We've got another 110, 20 days plus yet to get there. See, that makes me very nervous, because you're dealing with a calculus here of people who are very, very calculating. Oh, for sure. I mean, the Democrats haven't finished pulling stunts.

14:24.60 – 14:39.24

That's for sure. But, you know, the other thing that's really changed, Malcolm, is that we're going to start voting in 60 days. Wow. You know, Pennsylvania starts voting in 60 or 61 days. I mean, it's ridiculous.

14:40.36 – 14:48.68

I'm surprised that we didn't start sometime around Labor Day. They started too early. I mean, it's going to be Memorial Day. Yeah. Too early.

14:49.14 – 15:12.20

It's just way so early. So, it's hard to know, you know, when you want to bring everybody's fever pitch up. And, yeah, you've absolutely got to be worried that people are going to say, well, Trump's going to win anyway. So, I don't have to worry about it or whatever. Well, actually, you say that.

15:12.30 – 15:26.58

And, you know, my son, who's in college now, my son, who's 20 now, he came in exactly and said what you just said today to me. He said to me, oh, Trump's got this. He's going to take this. He never said that. with that confidence I noticed.

15:26.58 – 15:31.68

He said to me today, oh, he's got this. He's going to take it all. They don't have a chance. Yeah. That's what he said.

15:31.80 – 15:45.98

Well, that's the problem of the success of this convention. Everybody walked away from there, you know, feeling that the momentum is such, it's just going to happen. And you've got to play all the time like you're two touchdowns down. Well, you know, let me talk about that a moment. Hold on a minute.

15:45.98 – 15:53.86

now. You know, you just bring up a good point. The way people's feelings, their attitudes, were. You know what it kind of was like? Let me say this.

15:54.24 – 16:22.24

It was almost like with everything that had happened this week and where we were at through the convention and where the president was, it was almost kind of like weird in this way, Daniel. It was almost like a heavy weight was taken off. You know, let me just say this here a minute here. This is kind of interesting. I've admitted this for the first time, but this is probably a very godly statement I'm making here in that way.

16:22.32 – 16:47.42

But it almost felt to me like this, this, this, the rules of the game has started to shift and change. And it was like a heavy weight was being taken off of the the circumstances, not just Donald Trump, but the way the fight, the left and right have been taking it, the fight of good and evil, the way we talked about this all the time. That's a sense I had. Is that, is that make any sense to you? Oh, no, it absolutely does.

16:47.60 – 17:12.16

I mean, the coincidences are, are so varied and the range is so great in the things that even his demeanor and sitting in the stands. I mean, yes. You know, that last evening, when he's got, he's got that granddaughter on his lap. Amazing. It was so comfortable.

17:12.64 – 17:29.50

Yeah, I felt I felt like the granddad that I am. It was so comfortable watching that little girl eating her hair and poking her nose. And he, he just sat there as if, you know, he does this all the time. And his body language was impeccable. It was.

17:29.72 – 17:43.82

And that's hard to do, buddy, to have a camera on you. You are. Let's think about it. If we were in a stand like then, there was a camera on us throughout every day, all of those hours. I mean, you know, God knows what they, what kind of a weird look they'd see on our face at any moment.

17:43.96 – 17:57.66

You know, right. Oh, absolutely. No, he, he was so at peace with himself. And that I think that really emanated to a lot of people, certainly like myself. I mean, I felt at peace.

17:57.66 – 18:12.36

the same way that he did, is that, you know, we've got this. I mean, you know, the Lord has got this. And and he's he's. you know, he's not going to let the Democrats get too far. Let's talk about that a moment here.

18:12.46 – 18:23.36

Let's talk about that. I started talking before you come on here with this. The words. we've been hearing a lot of divine intervention. We've been hearing those words everywhere.

18:23.36 – 18:52.20

Right. Right. And so when you think about, you know, his head, the president's head and the way he shifted, with the again, the board being put up there on immigration and the bullet, when I seen the medical people and the docs talking about how the head shifted and the bullet whizzed right by and nipped his ear. Daniel, what do you call that? I mean, I mean, I don't, I mean, is a miracle, the right even word for that?

18:52.22 – 19:11.32

I'm not even sure what you call this. I mean, you know, here's the, here's the counter argument to that that people make. And that is, of course, you know, Trump lives. But then this dedicated husband at age 50, you know, just turned 50 is dead. And so how do you reconcile that?

19:11.74 – 19:21.96

Well, I thought of that a lot. Well, how do you reckon? I mean, I thought that was he a, you know, listen, you bring up a great point. I thought about this in the way that was he a sacrificial lamb? Was he?

19:21.96 – 19:28.54

was he a martyr? at the moment? I mean, what was his role? What was his position? Why did, if God saved Trump, why did he take him?

19:29.62 – 20:05.22

Well, you know, some of us are attuned to this understanding that when our time comes, it will come on the percent and and that, you know, that it wasn't really this kind of trade off, but that this happened and two other people got injured in this, you know, terrible attempt. Yeah, they were seriously injured, but they're going to be all right now, they say. Yeah, but it proved that those were really bullets. They really could kill. Oh, because you hear that, you hear some of the commentators on the left and they're saying he's making it all up.

20:05.38 – 20:33.04

Oh, some of this stuff I've heard about about about this wound is, it's obnoxious. I mean, it's absolutely nauseous. But, you know, there's a lot of things that happened in that split second where somebody passed, two other people were hurt, and it absolutely proved that Donald Trump was at risk of death at that very minute. Yeah, yeah. But, but it didn't happen.

20:33.28 – 21:03.24

Well, and we're going to be asking some of those tough questions this weekend, by the way, on Viewpoint this Sunday, some of those very difficult questions, Daniel, about with some of the people that were at the RNC West or some of the politicians and others, will be on the broadcast this weekend. And I want to ask them some of these things and what they really think, because right now, as you know, the Secret Service is under fire. I, you know, with everything that's transpired there. But listen, I want to transition. I want to tell folks about these couple of pieces you wrote before we lose track of time here.

21:04.72 – 21:25.04

And later on in the broadcast, I'm going to have you join me back here. And you wrote a marvelous piece about which I thought was really cool. Where's the wisdom in 2024?? Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, George Orwell, Albert Einstein, Paul Harvey, and a whole bunch more. And there you had here, using the these wonderful quotes and euphemisms.

21:25.14 – 21:36.36

These people have said these words of wisdom, I call them. they used in the past historical moments. And it's a great op-ed. And that is on the network, the platform. You can see that.

21:36.36 – 21:57.86

Just go to Authors and Hosts and look up Daniel Baranowski, friends, and go read some of his pieces. He's a very thoughtful writer. But I want to get in this other piece you have, which is really a head-turner. And it's up live for the first time this weekend as you listen to this broadcast on America Out Loud. And it's titled, Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him?

21:57.94 – 22:19.72

That's a hell of a provocative title. Tell us a quick summary of what that's about, please. When I saw this event go down on Saturday, it was somewhere around 9 o'clock. And my mind is just wandering and hoping that it's true, that he's going to be fine, and all that. I thought of a quote that I heard.

22:20.30 – 22:42.96

I wasn't exactly sure what it was. But there was an actress, a Broadway actress, who at one time put out this sort of obnoxious statement. Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him? And the whole reference was to the assassination of Donald Trump. That's what she was intimating.

22:43.08 – 23:17.10

And this has come up by a couple of other people. A couple of other actors have said very similar things about John Wilkes Booth. But it's a very interesting story how this ties in with the Secret Service. And there was no Secret Service until a certain date. And actually, on April 14th of 1865, the day that Lincoln was assassinated by Booth, Lincoln had sat down and he actually signed some paperwork that eventually would get part of this Secret Service going.

23:17.28 – 23:38.34

The Secret Service initially was all about currency. There was so much counterfeit currency going on because of the Civil War. But the metropolitan area decided, the D.C. area decided, they ought to have somebody protect Lincoln. And so they put a little group together and they start off protecting him.

23:38.64 – 24:04.48

But something happened. And that's really what the rest of this story is all about. And I think people are going to find it very fascinating, very coincidental to actually what happened on the 13th of this month. when we go back to 6-11 and the near assassination of Donald. There's some twists and turns in the piece.

24:04.76 – 24:10.76

There is. That make it very fascinating. It's sort of a whodunit. And you connect some dots in there. It's a marvelous read.

24:11.42 – 24:24.22

Where is John Wilkes Booth when you need him? Take a look at that piece. It's live on the network here this weekend, friends. All right, so listen. We've got a big weekend of broadcasting coming up here on America Out Loud Talk Radio.

24:24.62 – 24:42.20

Daniel will join you a little bit later in the broadcast as well. Don't forget, we've got coming up next here, I'm looking forward to this. actually, Pastor Jeff Crippen, Pastor Rick Stevens. Talk about end of times. Got an interesting question in from a listener asking, do you feel like we are living in the end times?

24:42.26 – 24:59.78

We'll talk a little bit about that and get their take on it. It is interesting when people bring that up always here, friends. So we'll talk about that as well. And, you know, the whole platform is just on fire. Our writers, our show hosts, are really, really charged up with all the events happening here.

24:59.90 – 25:18.98

So a lot of good stuff out here. And so stay close by to help us share the out loud truth. Want to take a quick pause now? We'll join you just on the other side on The Voice of a Nation. Listen to Malcolm, The Voice of a Nation on iHeart Radio or our free apps on Apple, Android or Alexa.

When God, through his grace and mercy, gave us free will, the will of the people was to live freely. To that end, we fight for the liberty of all at a time when global tyranny threatens us as never before in mankind's history. This vision is manifest at americaoutloud.news, a site for all who cherish free will and freedom.

27:08.88 – 27:18.60

Now is our time, my fellow Americans. America, Out Loud talk, radio. Liberty and justice for all.

27:30.56 – 27:47.36

Pastor Rick Stevens is here. He's a pastor at Diplomat Wesleyan Church in Cape Coral, Florida. His show, Faith Is, it runs 8 a.m. Eastern Time on the network, on iHeartRadio. Saturday and Sunday is that broadcast.

27:48.36 – 28:08.72

And I love listening to it, and we have a great listenership. Well, that goes to podcast, and people hear that all over the world. So it's getting a message of faith out there, 8 a.m. And if you're not hearing it, tune in, please, on America Out Loud talk radio. He's also the co-founder of the Florida Citizens Alliance there and doing some marvelous work on education there as well.

28:09.28 – 28:33.72

Pastor Jeff Crippen is here as well. And Pastor Jeff is newer to the platform, but he's been a pastor for over 40 years. And he was a police officer before that for 14 years, by the way. He pushes against domestic abuse and abuse in the church and that sort of thing. His book, Unholy Charade, Unmasking the Domestic Abuser in the Church, is in the America Out Loud bookstore and bookstores.

28:34.32 – 28:51.62

He's a weekly writer, author for the network, and doing some pretty good stuff. I like his—he's not afraid to rock the canoe, if you will, and get the point out there. So, anyways, good to have you both here, Pastor Rick, Pastor Jeff. Here's the list of questions I got in. This was a list, and I only give first names.

28:51.74 – 29:07.00

It's from Kay, is all I know. Do you feel like we are living in the end times? If so, explain why you feel that way. Okay. So I've gotten a series of these questions in in recent months, weeks and months here.

29:07.58 – 29:24.04

People feel that way, that things are unraveling quickly now. But there's a lot of meaning on what end times is. People get confused with what it really means. And I wanted to talk about that a little bit. But let me also add context that a lot of people do believe that.

29:24.18 – 29:36.58

Pew Research did a poll just one year ago. about 4 in 10 U.S. adults believe humanity is living in the end times. I wonder if that number is even more right now. In fact, that was 4 in 10 right then.

29:36.72 – 29:53.58

So you can imagine what that might be right now. There are different ways it's talked about. Webster says it's the time of the prophesied end of the world. Armageddon is what Webster says. Wikipedia says beliefs concern the final events of history or the destiny of humanity.

29:54.08 – 30:10.34

You know, those words kind of hit my soul a little bit. Destiny of humanity. There's something there, man, I have to tell you. And then Life, Hope, and Truth, their site says the Bible tells us about what life will be like in the time period before Christ's return to Earth. These are known as the end times.

30:10.34 – 30:28.38

So I just gave you three, Webster, Wikipedia, and this other faith site, Life, Hope, and Truth. Pastor Rick, I'd like to go to you first, please, on this. We've not talked about this, but what is end times to you? Well, thanks, Malcolm. I appreciate the kind words and you giving me the opportunity to talk to everyone today, because you're right.

30:28.78 – 30:59.16

This question about the end times seems to trouble people a great deal. When I think of the end times, I think of that means the return of Jesus. And if that is what people think of in terms of the end times, then I remind everybody we ought to be delighted by that. We ought to be eagerly looking for it, because the Bible ends, the last book of the Bible, Revelation, the next to the last verse is a prayer, come Lord Jesus. And so I understand people being alarmed.

30:59.30 – 31:31.22

I understand the finality of judgment that is also connected to the end of time. But for those who are followers of Jesus, whose hearts are right, who have made our peace with God, we ought to be delighted and eager to welcome the return of Jesus. That is a measure of our faith right now. What you just put out there is a total testament to our faith. because, let's face it, most people, a lot of people, I don't know how many, but many, yeah, they are worried, fearful of the unknown.

31:31.50 – 31:44.88

They don't know what they don't know. They're fearful. It's a fear based into our minds, our brains, our souls, fearful of the unknown, not knowing what's really after that. We hear stories of life after death. We hear stories of people coming back.

31:45.44 – 32:26.20

But it's a real testament to faith, what you say there. And if you're, I guess the testament would be if your faith, I guess, if you apply what you just said, Pastor Rick, if there's any shakiness at all in your faith, you probably would know it just by answering that question and the way you surmise it out there. Is that a fair statement? Yeah, I think that is a fair statement, because I suspect that a lot of people who get afraid of things like this are living in the hope that they're right with God rather than in the certainty that they are. Maybe they're dabbling around the edges and saying, well, I'm going to go just as close as I can to the line God calls sin and maybe step over it from time to time.

32:26.28 – 32:46.38

But I hope you'll understand. Well, why don't we reverse course, make our confession, say to God, we've done this, and change our lives and turn completely around and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. That way, we don't have to be afraid, because the Bible tells us over and over. We don't need to be afraid. We sing the song.

32:46.46 – 33:11.74

He's got the whole world in his hands. All right, Pastor Jeff, I want to come over now to you here and talk about your sense and feeling of end times. What does it mean to you, sir? Well, we certainly are in the end times, or the last days, as Scripture would describe it. It really is that era between Christ's resurrection and his second coming to earth.

33:11.74 – 33:59.28

We are living, in other words, in what the Bible says, the last era of human history. Now, people have, it is important, as you've already mentioned, to define what we mean by the last days, because a lot of people and the reason they're afraid, of course, as Pastor Rick said, they have no confidence because they don't know Christ. But they think that they can take their doctrine of the end times from the movies, and so they'll look at some nihilistic, apocalyptic thing. that means essentially the end of everything. There's going to be some meteor strike or nuclear war that is going to completely destroy humanity.

33:59.28 – 34:30.04

And other people see it as, well, you know, time is cyclical and we're in the end of a cycle, but it's going to revert back to a primal state and evolve from there. And there's no hope at all. There's only fear in any of these things. And other people deny that there are end times at all. Peter talks about that in 2 Peter, that things are going to go on forever just as they are, even though they haven't, i.e.

34:30.14 – 34:53.84

Noah and the flood, and so forth. But the Bible does teach that there is an alpha point, a beginning, and an omega, an ending. And Christ is the beginning, the creator, and he's also the one that comes and puts an end to this present world. But that's not the end of everything. Now, I want to ask you now, all right, there you go.

34:53.96 – 35:22.26

But, Pastor Jeff, now, with what you lay out there, the timeline, I want people to understand what I read into what you say there, the timeline. So when you say, well, yeah, we are in times, that doesn't mean that's next week, next month, next year, next, anything. That could be hundreds or thousands of years from now, in the whole cycle of timeline, from the beginning, in the end. Again, when Jesus came, when Jesus comes back, you're talking about this timeline. This could go on for all kinds of time.

35:22.46 – 35:38.86

Is that a correct statement? Well, partially. It is definitely, the last days are actually a definite time period between Christ's resurrection. But how much time? Well, that is known only to God.

35:38.98 – 36:15.92

Well, that's my point. Yeah, and the reason that it's gone on for 2,000 years is because God's patient. He doesn't wish for anyone to perish, and he wants to have, even though they're not, and people, everyone come to faith, then in Christ. But with all of that said, even though we can't know the day or the hour that Christ is coming, we can discern that we're in the last of the last days, even, by watching for certain signs. Well, let me go there now.

36:16.20 – 36:55.60

So, all right, so now you've given me another, this is a good curveball, what you throw out there, Pastor Jeff. Because, listen, listen, I was going to say back to you, but couldn't that be another 2,000 years? But I knew you would almost say back to me, no, it's not going to be another 2,000 years specifically. And then you nailed it with the curveball that you threw just there, that I want people to understand the time period, which brings it to the relevancy of the news cycle, where we're at right now. What are the events happening right now in the world, please, that we should all know that bring credibility to what you say and that that timeline is nearer than you think?

36:55.76 – 37:14.78

Please. Yes, there are several. One of them is globalism. And you even saw that begin with the Tower of Babel. But right now, and the reason I say globalism is that the Bible makes it plain that at some point, the Antichrist, or man of lawlessness, is going to come to power.

37:15.12 – 37:44.90

And he will establish ultimately once and for all, well, not once and for all, but for a short period of time, an actual one world government. How do you know he's not here now? Oh, he could easily be here now. In fact, we know that the spirit, his spirit of the Antichrist has been operating all through this era. So globalism is something that we, as Christians, need to absolutely resist.

37:45.32 – 37:57.62

It is not God's will that the world be united in one. Okay. For time, what are the points in the timeline, please? Anything else? Another characteristic is an increase in lawlessness.

37:57.62 – 38:12.96

That's always been a characteristic of the devil. And he's the one behind the whole thing. But that lawlessness is going to increase. And another issue is that people will increasingly be deluded. They will believe lies.

38:14.34 – 38:20.98

That's a form of God's judgment on people. All right. All right. Let me now get over. I want to bring Pastor Rick back into this, please.

38:20.98 – 39:05.02

And, you know, I got to share with you, both of you, gentlemen here, that over the years as a radio broadcaster, if there was, you know, I really got out there as a radio broadcaster through the Obama years. And I say that because it was through 08 and 2016 where I thought our country was in great peril, back to globalism, Marxism, and not knowing what was going to happen after with Trump or any of these other events. I thought we were in serious decline and deep trouble. And the question that was asked to me, often from hosts and people around the world that would ask me this question, they would say to me this, Pastor Rick, I'm being serious now. They would say to me, do you think Barack Obama is the Antichrist?

39:05.28 – 39:17.40

Now, I bring that up, because what Pastor Jeff says brings up the Antichrist. That was asked to me many, many times. And you know what my answer back was? And I, just, as an analyst, I would say, no, I, you know, I've really studied this question. now.

39:17.60 – 39:46.92

I don't think he's the Antichrist specifically, but I think he is related to the family. What do you say to that, sir? Well, I think that's a clever way of saying it and a good way of saying it. The Bible talks about Antichrist, both in terms of an entity, we sometimes think of a person, but it also talks about the spirit, as you gentlemen rightly said. And I said to my congregation last week, something that had happened in the news, and I said, and the Antichrist people lost their minds.

39:47.30 – 40:17.44

Well, everybody kind of got that and laughed. And it's not really a laughing matter, but I think we do need to take seriously that there is an Antichrist spirit that is moving among us, whether that points to a person that will one day surface, as many people believe that there is a specific Antichrist. We won't know till that happens, I suspect. But there's definitely a spirit that is against Christ, against the church, against the people of God. But in spite of all of that, the Bible says, don't be afraid.

40:17.92 – 40:28.60

God's got this. And that's the confidence we need to remind ourselves of as we wrestle with the times. Right, exactly. Yeah. You know, we use the point, Pastor Rick, a lot now.

40:28.96 – 40:50.24

I use it on broadcast a lot. I'll use the term historical times, because so much is historical. And I started seeing this historical timeline develop more so through the Trump years, of things that were happening. And I just knew, and I would tell listeners, we're living in historical moments of time, friends. We just are, I can tell you now.

40:50.48 – 41:21.26

And that's, of course, after the Obama years of that, eight years, which really followed the horrendous Bush years. And the Bush years were not marvelous for this nation either, by the way, and the Clinton years. And so we have been in a steadily decline in my world from after Reagan and as the 40th president right through to the 45th. You know, I have to tell you, Pastor Rick, a lot of people, I just want to ask you this. A lot of people think Trump is this, he's that, he's a nemesis, he's.

41:21.26 – 41:34.18

what have you, he's, you know, kinds of things, what have you. The faith community embraced him. Nobody could figure out why. I kind of laughed in the backdrop. I was laughing, and really at the whole deal, because I knew he was a product.

41:34.32 – 41:50.12

I felt he was a product being used by God Almighty. in a way that was very interesting. I've seen Trump as sort of a curveball that was thrown at the entire system and establishment, which was actually quite a joke, actually. It was hysterical. And that's, you know, the orange man.

41:50.56 – 42:07.52

And I just thought the whole thing was very comical, in fact. Does God play jokes like that, do you think? Oh, I have no doubt about it. God uses all kinds of ways to get people's attention and to shake us up out of our lethargy. You talk about historical times, and I think that that's a good perspective on that.

42:07.68 – 42:35.64

I heard Osgun Espy earlier this week, and he says we are in a civilizational moment. And that's pretty big talk, for, you know, the end of the world could be at hand and we're not preserving our civilization. But I think he's right. That doesn't mean we're without hope, because we believe in the God of the universe and we can trust him. And, yeah, God uses all kinds of things, and we just need to trust God to use them for his purposes.

42:35.64 – 42:55.94

and hang on. He'll be with us. Yeah, yeah, that is perfectly said. Pastor Jeff, I don't know how you follow that up exactly, but let me give you the last word on this point that I make there. Of the political characters that are in play right now, what has taken place, what is transpiring, and the end times?

42:56.00 – 43:24.68

The last word, sir. Well, I think that we certainly don't, just because we support Donald Trump, for example, doesn't mean that we are saying that he is a Christian. I don't know whether he is or not. But the things that he's standing for are righteous, and the things that he's standing against are evil. Whereas on the other side, then, you have Antichrist, in my opinion.

43:24.92 – 43:45.20

And so this is not a matter of playing politics and differences of opinion anymore. It's rapidly escalated into a difference between good and evil, and which side we are going to stand on. Yeah, yeah, wow. I've got to tell you both, this is an incredible conversation to me.

43:47.00 – 44:20.32

I hope that listeners get a lot out of this, because this is not going to be the last time we talk about this. I can tell you, you already know out there that you know I've got to invite Pastor Rick and Pastor Jeff back for a bigger conversation in the weeks ahead on this topic. I find it really interesting, a very refreshing conversation, actually, to put this all out there in the light of day, as it needs to be, friends, to expose the out loud truth here. Please join again, Faith Is, Pastor Rick, on Saturday, Sunday morning, 8 p.m. Eastern Time on America Out Loud Talk Radio Network.

44:21.02 – 44:50.16

It's interesting when you look at interesting quotes, when you look at things that people said historically. You know, there's always something to be said about the historical point in time. Things we learn from other things, or things we learn from history, things we learn from those historical moments. And people who say cool things, and you want to capture what they say, and say, man, that is remarkable. Some very interesting historical moments of time tied to today's timeline and the news.

44:50.16 – 45:10.84

I want to do that with Daniel Baranowski. He's a columnist, a political analyst, a retired instructor of healthcare management and policy at the Harvard University School of Public Health. And just passionate, a dear, dear person, a marvelous writer for the network, and a great voice. Certainly part of the America Out Loud family, to be sure. here.

45:11.62 – 45:40.92

He has got a very, very worthy, a very worthy article up on the network. It's entitled, Where is the Wisdom in 2024 of Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, George Orwell, Albert Einstein, and Paul Harvey? Yeah, the only thing that would improve the headline is if we said Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, George Orwell, Albert Einstein, Paul Harvey, Daniel Baranowski, and Malcolm Out Loud. Well,

45:43.22 – 45:52.34

first, Malcolm, thank you. I love being at home with you here on America Out Loud. And this is one of my favorite topics. for a long time. It's been a hobby.

45:52.66 – 46:25.36

It's been a love. It's following all these aphorisms or maxims, or proverbs, or whatever you want to call them, quotes. It's wonderful looking at them on the Internet today, because many sites that deal with these quotes have alphabetized them by author. Oh, I go to the same sites you do, by the way, to look at them. One of the most famous ones you talk about right up front in the piece, Daniel, is if Yogi Berra was still alive, was still among the living, I imagine he'd advise Joe Biden on how to chart his current political dilemma.

46:25.78 – 46:43.74

Let's start with this one, because it's one of my favorites, actually, as well, because I use it a lot, just verbatim, when it comes out of my mind. When you come to a fork in the road, take it. Would somebody send that to Joe Biden, please? Yeah. Isn't that the truth?

46:44.86 – 46:51.58

What do you think? Does he stay in or doesn't he stay in? What happens? Oh, Joe's staying in all the way. There's no upside to leaving.

46:52.30 – 47:09.04

He'll become a nobody in no time at all. And there's too much bad blood that's been spilled over time. Joe really doesn't like Kamala. And so you've got that feud going on. You've got Hunter in the mix nowadays.

47:09.04 – 47:36.80

And, you know, unless somebody comes by with a pot full of money and buys him out, basically, he's not leaving. And I still, I think he's got to worry about Hunter's next trial coming up, which could spill over. So you don't see an open convention, the DNC, when that happens a month after the RNC, basically. You don't see that. And you see him in November on the ballot as the legitimate candidate for the Democrats.

47:37.88 – 47:50.18

Well, legitimate is, yeah, he's the illegitimate candidate. Maybe I misspoke there. Yeah. But he's got to be there. And, you know, one has to have a worry about this.

47:50.32 – 47:59.82

I mean, everyone's. Could you and I make a bet right now? One dollar, just one dollar. OK. Or no, instead of one dollar, we need to get, we we need to meet anyways.

47:59.96 – 48:07.20

Let's, let's bet dinner. Dinner would be better. Because you've been wanting to do that. And so we could. we could fly to fly and meet each other.

48:07.30 – 48:15.80

We said we wanted to have dinner and break bread. OK, so what? So let's bet dinner. I think he's not going to be on the ballot in November. It would be my guess.

48:16.10 – 48:25.06

And your guess is, you say he will be right. He will be. OK. He will be, because they're all going to come to their realization. They just don't have the time to make this switch.

48:25.84 – 48:40.78

And that especially if they, if, you know, if they really press him out of it, he becomes bitter. Right. He will submarine whatever. But he's a look. But if they have a losing hand and they know this already, now, they see it.

48:41.22 – 48:50.48

I mean, they know they're going to lose. I mean, it's, it's already, it's already pretty well pronounced. And it's here in July, Daniel. I mean, it can only get worse, I think. Right.

48:50.48 – 49:10.34

Well, Mark, Mark Twain said no amount of evidence will ever persuade an idiot. And I think that's exactly what you know, where, where we are right now with him. Yeah. Well, hold on. Mark Twain also said, as you say there, I cannot help but notice that there is no problem between us that cannot be solved by your departure.

49:10.88 – 49:32.54

Yes, I agree. This is one of my favorite ones. And in fact, as we're talking about this thing, what I actually did send to the Trump campaign is that and it's an anonymous quote, I'm not sure exactly, you know, what the ideology is for it. But it said, if you stop telling lies about me, I'll stop telling the truth about you.

49:34.88 – 49:46.50

And that's the one that I really hope that that Trump would use if there's going to be another debate. And there's a big question. I don't know that there will be another debate. I'm not sure they're going to put him on there. Do you think there will be?

49:47.36 – 50:06.90

I think he would do OK, but they would juice him. I don't think they juiced him this last time. I think they were so afraid that of all the talk about this, that they weren't going to send out the same guy they sent out for the State of the Union. Yeah, but even though his eyes were bulging the way they were, it looked to me like he was on something. No, I think they were also worried about his cold.

50:07.02 – 50:17.76

We don't know what kind of cold medication he was on. I don't think he had a cold, did he? He had a lot of interactions. Oh, he had a slight cold. I don't think it was anything devastating.

50:18.40 – 50:28.44

Really? I didn't get that. Usually he talks like he's got shit in his mouth anyway, so I thought that was just normal behavior. Yeah, it couldn't be more true. But no, I think unfortunately he's in there.

50:28.74 – 50:51.74

What Republicans, I think, have to worry about is that he becomes this hero of the guy that everybody was dumping on. If Biden gets in, he's going to turn it over to Kamala, because physically he won't be able to. But let me go further with you now on the point. you just say. I would disagree with you for that decision and the reasons you just said.

50:51.74 – 51:10.48

for this reason. We have a man who is not of well mind, that is in the Oval Office. I know winners and losers, I get it. I get Republican and Democrat politics. But this man should not have four more hours, as far as my view goes, in the Oval Office.

51:10.84 – 51:35.24

He should be charged with the 25th Amendment and removed, without doubt, in my opinion. Let me say this, Daniel. If this was a Republican in there, not only would the entire Democrat establishment, but the entire media apparatus, the entire everything apparatus, would be all over the 25th Amendment. I mean, they did that with Trump just because they didn't like his policies. They surely would be doing that against him now.

51:35.76 – 51:55.06

But they're not doing that with Biden. But the question I ask you, isn't Joe Biden a danger and risk to our nation? He absolutely is. And every day, every minute that he spends in that office becomes more dangerous. Well, don't you think he can beat Kamala Harris and beat Hillary Clinton, or beat whatever stooge they put in there?

51:55.32 – 52:15.90

Well, I don't think they're going to get to that point. I mean, they're even finding that her ratings and her poll numbers are worse. Nobody really wants her. They're all trying to work around this DEI thing. And if she wasn't the first black woman in an office of this sort, they wouldn't even be having this discussion.

52:15.90 – 52:34.66

Well, I beg to differ with you, Politico. Their polls now find that the damage, the debate, that Kamala Harris would beat Trump and has a better rate in, three, four points. What do you say to that? I'd say that the polls right now, you'd have to really understand their sampling methodology. And I don't know.

52:34.76 – 52:45.58

I mean, there's nothing that's clearly come out from the whole thing. And there's been a lot of really strange things really over the last several elections that didn't really predict what was going on.

52:48.36 – 53:06.18

I don't think at all they'd beat him, by the way. My point is, I don't care who they really got in there. I think the momentum now and the damage to the Democrat establishment is pretty serious, Daniel. Oh, it is. I would imagine that that's why a lot of those independents are now in the black community and the Hispanic community, coming over to Trump.

53:06.28 – 53:21.56

I mean, come on, come on. But this didn't happen. This didn't just happen at the debate. This has been going on. The only thing that debate gave everybody was permission to talk, because until then they had used coercion and every other possible method.

53:22.16 – 53:29.72

Isn't that the truth? And that is the real ugliness of this administration. You just said it right there. There's the drum roll. You just said it right there.

53:30.06 – 53:44.96

No, none of this is really. You're right. As shocking as it might appear to be, as historical as it is, it is all very predictable. And these two just knew everything that was happening. This media apparatus and the Democrat Party, they all knew.

53:45.72 – 53:54.58

Congress knew. His cabinet knew. Everybody knew. They were going to keep their mouth shut, because opening your mouth, boy, you'd get slapped up silly. Is that a quote?

53:54.68 – 54:03.88

Is that your quote or somebody else's? That could be my quote. We'll add you to it. Listen, Paul Harvey said, let's get back to some of these quotes. Yeah, sure.

54:04.04 – 54:23.86

In times like these, and Paul Harvey is my favorite and your favorite, I think, too. He is. He is my ultimate favorite, I have to tell you. As a radio guy, and you already know this about me, because you and I did shows years back on Paul Harvey. He says, in times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.

54:24.46 – 54:39.96

And then you say, come on, Paul. Joe Biden and his Marxist cronies are working overtime to disprove your maxim. Yeah, they are. They are. But ridiculous is that we have a 25th Amendment that should be used.

54:40.12 – 54:56.88

It was designed exactly for this, and one other reason. That was that people wouldn't be running for a third and a fourth and a fifth term in office. But nothing could be clearer. Yeah, this is what the framers built us for right now. They're not playing by the rules anymore.

54:57.06 – 55:11.00

No. And we're getting this distinction now, finally, between a neurological exam and a cognitive exam. And they're really two different things. Biden keeps talking, I had a neurological exam. That is not a cognitive exam.

55:11.30 – 55:36.70

And if he's had an MRI, which I don't think he has, that would be definitive. But we already know this thing isn't going to get better. And for the people who knew this a year ago and are watching where he's at now, you know this thing is accelerating. Yeah, his wife is – I would imagine there's a special place in hell for her. But what she's done here is pretty sick, I have to tell you.

55:36.76 – 55:48.48

I don't know any wife – I don't mind wouldn't do that. I don't think yours would – Shelley wouldn't do that either, would she? No. And Dee wouldn't do that, so come on. My wife, if – She'd punch him in the nose.

55:48.62 – 56:07.16

What about Shelley? She'd punch him in the nose too, wouldn't she? She would never, never even think of anything like this, even though she's in healthcare for 50 years. Because it defies gravity, it's sick on every human level. Everybody's had people like this in their families.

56:07.84 – 56:22.76

I had a father-in-law, an incredible man, died from dementia. It's sad. It was a terrible –. I keep wishing and praying we come up with answers to these problems, I have to tell you. I've done that since Ronald Reagan, after he left office.

56:22.98 – 56:44.44

And I've seen his golden years were not so golden with him and Nancy, and it bothered me as a young lad. And I really felt then that there was something we need to do as a country to solve that problem and that puzzle. You know, George Orwell said, and this fits the moment. right now, Daniel, we know that no one ever seizes power intending to relinquish it. That surely fits Joe Biden, doesn't it?

56:44.78 – 56:55.90

It absolutely does. And the Marxists left. Oh, absolutely. That they know that they have exactly the Trojan horse character they wanted in there. He's okayed everything.

56:56.18 – 57:20.44

He's one of these guys that changed his principles to suit the party instead of having any principles to stand on in the first place. Well, we see that now. clearly. That piece, again, where is the wisdom in 2024 of Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, George Orwell, Albert Einstein, Paul Harvey, Daniel Baranowski, and Malcolm Outlaw. Yeah.

57:21.34 – 57:29.14

We added two at the end of that. But anyways, check that out, friends. Daniel, thank you for everything you do. Thank you. You're a joy to have on here all the time here.

57:29.26 – 57:41.44

Always love being with you. Friends, that is a wrap here. We've reported all to you the out loud truth. This program today gave you a lot of food for thought here. Thank you for joining me on the mission here.

57:41.44 – 57:46.12

It's time to get involved and get loud, America.
