The National Security Hour exposes the wolves in sheep's clothing and their nefarious plots to undermine and destroy u.
S National Security.
Welcome to the National Security Hour. We have a great roundtable of experts today to discuss key aspects of the Republican National Convention. The speeches, the agenda and how President Trump seeks to unite this nation. We'll also cover and do an assessment on his attempted assassination. The message we saw helped to advance a better awareness of America that Donald J.
Trump is a human, is humble, loves his family, and is proactive, as he draws a stark contrast between his vision of faith, family and opportunity to advice. The Democrats efforts to drive division, hate and subjugation, the efforts to dehumanize him and his supporters, are failing badly. It was clear throughout the convention that the GOP agenda places God, faith, country and unity at the forefront of what makes America great. Vice the divisive victimhood and vilification of the Democrats agenda and policies. The message was clear, focusing on a policy agenda that proactively lays out the differences between the dystopian left, which glorifies a socialist, bureaucratic government as the leader of the people who they see serving them.
This versus conservatives who place God at the center of our lives, where the government is by, for, and of the people that are served by patriotic public servants. President Trump's humble and direct message spoke to his faith, trust in God and placed God back where he belongs, at the center of our lives. Let me say up front those who've listened to this crew before. If you're looking for consensus, it's not going to happen here. But you'll quickly hear some rather provocative viewpoints and emotions, and different intrusions. As we agree and disagree on various aspects. The outstanding panel let me begin by welcoming our co-hosts and introducing them.
Lieutenant General Tom McInerney, a West Point graduate, former Vietnam War Air Force pilot, served in the United States Air Force as vice chief of staff, the third highest ranking position.
General Paul Vallely also u.
S. Army Retired Born in Des Moines, Pennsylvania, retired in 1991 as U.S. Army Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii. Having served 32 years in the United States Army. He like General McInerney, both graduating from West Point.
Mary Fanning, our executive producer for the NASA Security Hour on the American Outlawed Talk Radio Network. She's also an investigative journalist with The American Report. Dr. Michael Sawyer, former chief of CIA's Osama Bin Laden unit. He's a continued counterterrorism expert, has multiple different books on the subjects.
And Colonel Mike, a former liaison and contractor for many years in Southeast Asia, worked with various agencies in the intelligence community. Like Dr. Mike and I. He's also an advisor and businessman, and then myself. So today we're going to talk about the Republican National Convention. Just a reminder, listeners, before I go to the opening questions Four key themes.
Make America wealthy again, make America safe again, make America strong again, and make America great again. So let me turn to Mary Fanning to start us off here, Mary. President Trump delivered his nomination and acceptance speech last night. What were the most surprising aspects of his speech? Your key takeaways?
Over to you, Mary. President Trump's calm nature and his calls for unity not only brought the people of this country together toward saving our country and attempted to take out the violence. But it also gave us a sense of his ambition and that he is not going to stop, he will fight back. As we're seeing, and it's become very evident that the hell is empty, the devils are all here.
They are all here, and the Dems have been exposed for what they are. And if you think this assassination attempt took place with Cheadle supplying subpar security was an accident, then think again, there are no accidents.
Excellent now, Colonel Mike, what are your thoughts on Trump's speech and any key takeaways? Well, I liked it, I think he was good, he was a little bit more humble.
At the end, he probably gave people a diaper rash because, you know, he spoke truth where he was saying, Hey, you know, we're not going to go for another fake election or a steal, you know? And that gives them a diaper rash. You know, all that kind of stuff. But other than that, I think he was pretty humble. I liked it. I think it ran a little bit too long. Ed But you know what I loved about the whole RNC Convention? I got to be honest with you, I forgot. We had this many white people because all the commercials and stuff you see today were like a minority, but it was still a majority.
So hey, and guess what, there are going to be other people joining us because they realized that Sleepy Joe ain't going to make it anymore. No great, great comments. Let me turn to General McInerney and then General Valley.
What are your thoughts, General McInerney, on Trump's speech last night? Well, I thought it was brilliant, Ed, although it got a little bit long, but my wife, who is terminal, stayed up through the whole thing. We both loved it.
As Colonel Mike talked about the diaper rash, but the fact is, he subtly pointed out, we now understand that he knows. It was Divine providence that saved them last Saturday.
The Lord is on our side and I don't mean to be a religious zealot, but I am in this particular case. And I think it's very important the issues he covered to include. He's not going to let it be a stolen election. This year has been our themes and I was comforted by it.
So I give him an a plus excellent, excellent General Valley. What were your thoughts on it? Paul? Well, I thought it was the best produced convention that I've seen in my lifetime.
I particularly liked the humility and humbleness of General Trump, certainly the near-death experience that he had did humble him as it would anybody else. But I certainly enjoyed seeing the number of and variety of speakers they had there, from the common person down at the lowest level. Families, families that have been marred and have suffered through deaths in their family, whether it be in Afghanistan or on the streets, of our young women have been raped and killed. So I think focusing on that. But he certainly was well focused on the future and what we need to do in the country to restore it. Reawaken America, make America great again. So that message was strong and clear.
Of course, you heard the left-wing pundits this morning, you know, they basically disparaging what President Trump had said. They don't get it, they're on their own left-wing mission. The devil's in their brains and in their hearts, if they have any.
But we can't pay attention to them. We have to move on, we have to move on to bring America back again and restore our Constitution and our country. Absolutely, Dr.
SHOR You know, you're a great analyst. What's your analysis of the speech last night? Oh, I thought the speech was okay. I was hoping for a little bit more discussion of retribution, but last night was Hugs and kisses in Hollywood, and he did.
Okay, I thought, but I was looking for more.
I don't know, maybe more strength, more aggressiveness, more. I don't know why. It would have hurt to identify the enemy of the Republic as our enemy.
He horsed around all around it, but he didn't really say that people have been traitorous. And if that's the rules of engagement, if the campaign is conducted as the convention was, we're not going to have, I think, as great a chance as we have at the moment. Great comments, you know, on that aspect there. Part of maybe why he was not directly addressing that, because his message of unity, trying to bring other people into the tent. And so he didn't want to do what the left has done to us to vilify us.
You know, to Colonel Mike's point, it was the most representative of the Republican Party's true nature. With the largest number of Blacks, Hispanics and others amongst the crowd since after the Civil War. And so that was a great aspect to see. So let me go back to Dr. Schor here, you know? One of the key things that I thought had been missing from prior conventions and stuff is, where's the proactive, uplifting, positive message, positive agenda?
So did he deliver a positive, uplifting, proactive agenda last night, or did you think he missed that point? No, he certainly had an agenda. And the other speakers who spoke, so many of them Vance, for one. What he had that former C.I.A. director there for is beyond me.
Can't remember his name. I second the motion. Thank you. Yeah, he's a has-been and maybe a never was.
You know, I don't know which CIA director are you talking about. The most recent is Pompeo, Pompeo, Pompeo.
POMPEO Okay, that's what I thought. I'm sorry, I couldn't remember the name.
Put the tongue, yeah. The point, I think, is that it's still a battle. And at some point he's going to have to throw the gauntlet down and say, listen. We've had people who betrayed this country, we have people in this government who tried to kill me.
We have people in this country who have flooded it with people we don't want, we don't need, and we'll never assimilate. And I think it's got to be said, frankly, to the American people. Because what he has to do once he gets in is not going to be very pretty.
No, you're absolutely, absolutely right. So let me go over to Colonel Mike on that now. Because you know, what he has to do is not going to be pretty and there's going to be a lot of pushback. But did he deliver a positive, uplifting, proactive message? Yes, he did, and I disagree with Mike on this thing.
I don't think it was the right place, although Mike believes that, I don't believe that. Because you've got to do a little bit of Hollywood fizz here, Mike. We want to bring everybody in, you know, and then do your thing once you win. Because all they will do is vilify him for the next week, even they're vilifying him. Now that he even spoke about what happened with the election, and you know, he was, so, you know, he had to tone it down. He knows what he's got to do.
You could see it in his face, you could tell by his voice. He knows what's got to be done. But you can't do it until you win. You've got to be in it to win it. Mike, It's like the lottery.
And then once you get there. But you know what, I agree with Mike Pompeo had no business there. I want to give a shout out to a friend of our show, Jack Maxey. Jack Maxey has it on Twitter today.
He said he said to President Trump Keep this guy as far away from you as you can. Pompeo doesn't belong anywhere near Donald Trump in the next administration. Go ahead, go ahead. Ed No, No.
Great, great, great point. Because you know, he was a state and he was a CIA both, and what did he do at both places to change the bureaucracy? I don't know. But General McInerney, what are your thoughts on the positive, uplifting Proctor message? Was it that, or was it something else?
No, I think it was very positive and in question to Dr. Mike's comments. I agree with Colonel Mike. This wasn't the place for it, but the signals came out to me loud and clear, that Trump knows who his enemies are.
And I'm going to ask Mary to discuss the the song that they played at the end, which is very subtle. But it sent a signal to me, loud and clear. And so there was. There was a soft touch that he took and I believe that the speech that he tore up was the hard touch. And he's got the American people behind them now after the assassination.
So, Mary, I want to throw it over to you. You show that he knows who his enemies are. And and it will happen, because it must happen, because we can never have this happen to the country again. No, absolutely general. And Trump was building the big tent.
We have to win the vote. But he sent a message to the deep State last night, he let people know where he is going. After his speech, the opera singer sang Nessun Dorma, which part of the verbiage is Binkaro. We will win, but Nessun Dorma is played at the end of the film. The sum of all fears, in which, at the end, all the traitors, all the deep state actors are put to death.
They're executed. So I think that Trump sent a message that those of us that understood Nessun dorma and what that meant.
Yes, but first, we have to win. That's fascinating. Mary and Tom and General Valley, What are your thoughts on the message itself from last night and any other comments based on what Mary and General McInerney just pointed out? Well, I think the key focus at the end there is, what do we have to do? That first week for the initial days of a new administration?
And that message is a lot of clear drill, baby drill, let's get this energy network that we have with all the reserves we have. Let's get that going. Let's work on a really great tax cut tax plan, let's also work to restore our military.
That we need to do, and so the three or four points that he made are things that he has to be done. And the retribution, like he said, is going to be success, and but there will be some retribution. I know that behind the scenes, he's not going to let some of this pass of treason. That's been conducted not only by individuals in our government, but by organizations, the CIA and the DIA and the FBI, the Department of Justice.
So that message came out loud and clear to me. Well, excellent. So we're going to go to the next thing. So one of the key things about any convention, any of these aspects, is the message to the American people. And the Republicans came across with four themes, and we listened to a variety of different speakers.
How well do you think this convention communicated the GOP's agenda? Did it reach out to all Americans? Let me start with you again. PAUL Yeah, no, it was a reach out, it was a reach out to the unions.
You know, I got two of the biggest unions now are backing them. So the workers out there and his relationship with the everyday laborers in the country, the workers, whether they be in the automobile industry. And I think he made it loud and clear. If you want to have electric vehicles, you can have them, but we're going to have gas powered, and we're also.
We're going to change things as far as this fraud of climate change that's going on. So he's got his points, he knows what he has to do in that first part or first phase of the new administration.
And we're working on giving him some plans, number one Operation Sinaloa to take out the cartels, which he said he's going to do. And then the second part of that, that if the Ukraine-Russia situation isn't, it's in its final fourth quarter. Now, as far as I'm concerned, that he'll meet with Putin and he'll get that done, he'll meet with Xi. Hopefully, to offset any invasion of Taiwan.
We have to run the break here. When we come back, we'll continue the discussion with everybody in the channel here. Welcome back to the National Security Hour with Mary Fanning, Colonel Mike, Dr. Mike and the Generals McInerney and Vallely. As we left off, we were talking about the convention's four themes, and the GOP message was communicated. And did it reach all Americans? Let's go to Dr.
Schroeder Dr. Schroeder, what are your thoughts? Yeah, I think it probably did reach many Americans, and those that weren't reached aren't reachable.
There is an enormous number of people in this country who are delusional and believe somehow that what they've been doing the last four years is the right thing. You've got to cash them out, you're not going to pick them up. I think he stayed on the message he wanted to stay with. I thought the attack on the climate change business was one of the best things in the talk.
It's clear to everyone that it's a lie. We have any number of predictions from those characters that have never occurred after 30 years of their due date. So that was, I thought, a very good point.
I thought he could have said a little more about foreign policy. Certainly, there's very little support left for NATO in this country. He could have said something about the nature of that alliance. It's become anti-democratic, it is stripped of its strength whenever the Americans aren't fully involved.
And it's time for change, as he's supposed to be an agent of change now. So I'm afraid in foreign policy, we're going to settle back into right where we were.
And it's too dangerous in this world to be that way. No great comments. Let's go to Mary Fanning. What are your thoughts, Mary? Did he reach out to all Americans?
Did the GOP agenda resonate? Do you think? Absolutely? What he told is that first, he pointed out that the DEms have declared war on the American people. They took our jobs, the auto industry, and they outsourced it to China and Mexico. They took the IRS and made them an army against the people, 88,000 agents going against the American people.
The Dems destroyed Social Security, Medicare, then they opened our borders and brought in replacement theory to take our jobs. It's not just the auto industry knowing that he's closed his spigots. This is what we have been talking about since the Dems came in, and, frankly, since Obama was under an office as well. Everything that they have done is the destruction of America, the outsourcing, the offshoring, the destruction of this country, its jobs, its means of production.
Trump talked about bringing all this back, making America great again, and making Americans prosperous again.
No thanks, Mary, Colonel Mike, I'm going to turn to you next. But what Mary's pointing out here? Which I thought was a key part of the whole discussion there. And the message is that the Republican Party GOP is for the working class. Because if you take a look at this administration and their policies, and Obama's as well, Clinton's as well.
Taxes and inflation, and giving everything free to illegals and ignoring Americans here, what are your thoughts? No, I think Ed. This time in our history, this time, I think there's a lot of working class Americans. I don't use the word workers, I use the word employees.
But the working class? I really, really enjoyed that union president there, the teamsters who got up, and really, I mean, he hammered it home. About, look at Amazon, you know, they unionized ups, and you know, he chided with Amazon. Remember it was Amazon and Walmart.
And these guys were open during Covid. Here's one thing I didn't hear, and I think, you know, should be spoken about. You always hear Biden talk about student loans and giveaways. You know, there were loans taken out by small businesses, the PPP loans we know about.
A lot of them were forgiven, a lot of them were fraudulent. And then there was a loan called the EIDL, which was an emergency disaster loan. A second loan to the small business to stay alive and keep their employees employed. Those people are paying a loan that's a 30-year loan at 3.75%.
It was a good interest rate at the time because the going rate at the bank was 6, so you got a 3.75 from the SBA. It's a 30-year loan, OK, and you know, there's no penalties if you pay it early or whatever. I'd never hear about that.
And that's what kept a lot of small mom and pop businesses in. And I think Trump should, you know, look at that coming in as far as you know, the big tent. I think there's a lot more of minority communities, meaning Black communities, Spanish communities, whatever that are looking at this and saying, Hey, America is our country, too. I'm not talking about the grifter class.
I'm talking about people that actually go to work for a living. You know what I mean? And they're saying, you know, we don't want this for our children, we want safety. You just look where we are, let the audience know.
This is a national and international audience. D..C. is so crime-ridden now, every day is murders, carjacking murders. What do we have for a mayor and a police department?
D.
E.
I, d.e...I. for a mayor and police, and then in Prince George's County, which is right attached to D..C. On the Maryland side, you have Angela Ashbrook who's running for a senator, OK?
And she's the Prince George's county chairperson, she can't even keep the county from carjacking and high crime and shootouts. And she wants to be a U..S. senator. And the moral of the government there is supporting her, not because she's great, but because she's a Black woman.
David Trone, who owns Total Wine? He could have won, he would have beat Larry Hogan. OK, but now they've got to quagmire it. So, I mean, having Black people in positions of power like New York and Maryland and D.C. does not guarantee safety for the Black community or the minorities. So that goes, I got to interrupt here.
So that goes to, we'll go to General Tom McInerney next year, but that goes to, I think, one of the broader aspects of the four themes. And it's outreach to all Americans, because you're right, all Americans doesn't matter, as Trump said, race, creed, color, religion, we're all Americans and we need to unify. Major, I mean, Lieutenant General McInerney, what are your thoughts? Did the GOP agenda reach out to all Americans?
No taxes on tips How many people do you think in this country earn tips? And that is going to bring in a large number of people and people that are around that that is huge. In addition, I've been watching this Gents and Lady Mary since. Dwight Eisenhower.
And when Paul Vallely was a plea? The fact is that Black preacher that got up and spoke about Donald J. Trump has never happened before in a Republican convention. And there was diversity across Hulk Hogan. Look at all of those people that came up and that made Trump. Because he's a very generous man, apparently, he's a very personal man, family man, and you saw all those things that came out.
I've only met him and been next to him twice, and all I can say is I saw a whole new, different person. And it was exposed suddenly. And the harsh stuff is now for us to talk about. For the retribution, the reason there must be retribution is because Barack Hussein Obama.
Clapper, Brennan et al. have committed treason, and that's why our new book, Treason, is so important.
And why? We have worked so hard to get the hard facts out, and that's why it's important. ED that we continue to push the hard things. While he did the soft touch, but we're supporting him well. You made some great points there, General McInerney, especially on tips. You know, there's a side job I'm doing the weekends that I'll keep public, I'll keep private.
Just kidding, but the taxes is a big deal. He's a terrible waiter, a terrible waiter, I can attest to that. There you go.
And Paul's got the books up. But the other aspect, instead of calling it retribution, what I would refer to it as, which is actually the closer I think to the truth, is. It's called accountability. accountability is the law. Nice word, but as we look at this, and I'll combine a couple of things here. And the next question here is, you know? The left continually tries to vilify appointments.
You have not seen Biden and any of the left provide any type of proactive, positive message of why people should vote for them. It's all been vilification, so the question for you all here, let's go back and start with Mary Fanny. Here is, you know, the vilification has to stop. But what wasn't covered in the themes, the platform, or what message? What other thing would you advise Trump to add to his repertoire here, Mary?
Well, I would have wished that he had mentioned the transformation from Obama, the Bolshevik revolution, too, in America. And that goes right to the Smith Modernization Act of 2012, where Barack Obama buried in an NDAA. The right for the media to be using psyops on the American people, psyops lying to the American people. That had been illegal since 1948. That is what this media does.
They have been running a psyops, they have been lying about Donald Trump, they have been lying about everything that's taken place in this country. Trump promised a new golden age. He says. He's going to bring massive amounts of energy.
He showed that the Dems, they put in eight chargers for electric cars, eight chargers that cost nine billion dollars. So he's saying, stand up, take back our country, unite for success. Have raise your expectations.
Raise our expectations, demand leadership. These people work for us. So it's time, you know, Mary, I was thinking, who built those who built those charges?
Was that the government? I'm sure it wasn't private sector. Oh, it was probably China. What do you, you know? Come on, China gets all the money from the Bidens and Obama.
It's despicable.
So so, with that, let me let me go ahead and turn to to Colonel Mike here. So, you know, Mary raises a key point here on the Psyop stuff, but let me highlight, you know, the cognitive war that's going on here. Because both J..D. Vance and the model that spoke at this convention highlighted how they actually initially believed in a lot of the crap that the Democrats and others put out there. This cognitive warfare is something Americans don't understand. The left used this to influence the people in their minds and their thinking.
J.
D Vance and The Model both changed their tunes on this. But Colonel Mike? Democrats vilifying opponents. But what wasn't covered in either the themes or platform? What would you advise Trump on, in addition to what we're talking about here? I don't know what I would advise, you know, if I had, if I could do it. Ed, I'd make sure that Trump would meet people like Vallely and General McInerney. Old timers guys like you and Mike, and make sure some of the old timers guys who have experience, you know, get a little bit of time with him. Because the problem is always surrounding themselves with handlers, you know, and getting close to them. Now we do have a couple of connections to get to Trump, and I think now it would be easier to get to Trump. Since the assassination attempt.
So in my mind, I just think that he has to have more experience. He did say something, you know, about having, I think it was J..D, Vance said. You know, having more civilians involved, and Mike and I spoke about that recently. We need more people with actual experience. You know, Trump loves his son, said it. Trump loves people who work for a living, people who have hammers and nails.
You know, he relates with that, and that's what he needs. He needs. Blue collar, you know, who he used to call the Joe, the Plumber guy, Remember? He needs people around him. How hard would it be to go into an agency or to go into a bureaucracy? A person who ran a business, or a person who runs a company? And say, Look, this thing's top heavy. This is Pink Slip Friday.
Come on and get yours. You know we don't need 360, you know we don't need 360 people. You go to Major General Vallee and Paul. What are your thoughts in terms of what was missing from the platforms, or what else would you advise Trump on? Well, the number. The re-imaging and restructuring of the Defense Department, part of what Project 2025 is working on. And we've prepared at the stand up America U.S.
Foundation a 35-page model A and B for Trump to use to restructure the Pentagon for the future. But the other thing is that, Colonel Mike, what you said is very important. He needs to bring four to six retired generals or admirals back who have been through a lot, understand strategy and be his advisors. Because he's not going to get that from the selection of people that he has had and will have, you know, and so I agree with you 100, whether it's me or General McInerney, but we could bring a lot to him that the other people won't. Because we understand what has to be done to defeat an enemy and defeat him assuredly, so that they'll never return to the battlefront again. But this whole restructuring, you know, it's like the CIA.
One of the things we're recommending is that it be called the American Intelligence Services, change the name, re-image it, and then it's only to focus on foreign intelligence. Close the FBI down on Friday, open it up on Monday with something else and restructure that, and the same thing with the Defense Department. Some of the things we're recommending if we have the time, Ed or....
Well, we've got to move over to Dr. Mike here. We've got a couple minutes left in this segment here. go ahead, Mike hit it, Dr.
SaWYER So, one of the key things that I've put forth in my book, the cognitive order. Why we are losing and how we can win, is, as Paul says, an overhaul of the national security apparatus. The whole thing. But what would you advise Trump on here? Okay, what's your message, your agenda items that you advise him? That wasn't included.
Well, two things, I guess. The first thing is he still has an albatross around his neck and he's done nothing to get rid of it, which is Covid.
He should have done it years ago, he should have come out and said, I got slicked by these pharmacists and these doctors and these Fauci's and the rest of them. And you know if there is a way for Hollywood to turn out things for the Democrats that make him look like he was the author of all this death. Maybe there's a bipartisan agreement. They're not going to talk about the government killing all these people.
But Trump is at some point, is going to have to reckon with that, and I don't know how he's going to do it now. Why he's let it go so long? The other thing I don't. And it's not surprising, you know? Vance had to come out and pledge his eternal allegiance to Israel. And again, we're faced with all these so-called allies that aren't worth a tinker's damn, and I'm sick of moral foreign policy.
Foreign policy, if Trump wants to talk about, it, is about defending Americans only, not democracy, not foreigners, not anything but the United States and its borders. And those are two things that are, to me, important to be said. Those are excellent points there. As we go to break here, we're going to come back. We're going to have one more question about the platform and the selection of people and stuff.
And then we're going to go start talking about the assassination as we come back from here. Just remember. You can find out more about our shows, the NASA Security Hour and all the latest podcasts. Welcome back to the National Security Hour. As we left in the last segment, we were discussing what was left off the program. There's a number of great things here. I'm going to turn to General McInerney next and ask him a quick question here, so I'd like to get your viewpoint on J..D.
Vance And does his pick give us any insight into how Trump will be selecting people for key positions? Because, as Dr. Schor and others on this call have mentioned on this program have mentioned, it's critical for him to get the right people in. What are your views on J.D. And does this give us insight in terms of what he's going to do in terms of selecting people for other positions? General McInerney.
Let me just get back to the last segment and say that I'm in violent disagreement with Dr. Mike's position on allies and particularly the Israelis. But we can cover that in another segment. But I'm in violent disagreement now. The issue with J.D, I think, is so important.
I didn't know very much about him. I kind of favored Bergram in a way, but what it showed me was. Trump has recognized where he made mistakes before, and the reason he made them was. He didn't know any of these people and they were recommended to him. And having been in that position and see how it works, it was natural.
But we had a lot of people and one of them is still heading up the FBI that have betrayed the U.
S. J..D. comes from a background that none of us have seen at this level before. And God bless him, God bless his Nanma and his mother now.
He has seen things in youth and got educated in the Marine Corps, and then I think he probably left more knowledge at Yale than he gained at his wife. It's a combination that I think is perfect. Well, fantastic. Let me turn to Mary next and get your viewpoint on that.
You know, what do you think of J?
D.
And does this give us insight in terms of how he's going to select other people for this next administration?
Well, I think that J.
D was representative of the Forgotten Man. And what Trump came out and told and spoke to is the founding of America, the taming of the wilderness, the new frontier. He talked about this flame of freedom, who we are as a people, understand.
What's taken place in this country is Bolshevik revolution, too. They are here, the left to destroy this country. Trump turned that around, he said. Have faith in God, faith in our country, rise above our differences.
Pledge your allegiance to the U.
S.
To the American flag, he said, We will no longer be the forgotten man. No one will stop us. Stop expecting too little, don't settle for that.
Together, we will restore this country, he talked about restoring our country. J..D. Vance comes from a place where he had absolutely nothing. Every challenge that one could imagine, Appalachia coming from a drug-addled mother that just 10 years ago became clean.
So this is a man who built his own life, who made a difference, and I think that that's what Trump was saying to the American people. You too, can do that. This is about building America, this is about building the forgotten man.
We'll all come together, we will make America great again together. Excellent points, Mary. So let me turn to General Valley and then Colonel Mike and then Dr. Shorey on the same question.
So, General Valley, what are your thoughts on Vance? And is this how Trump's going to pick his next people for the administration? I met J..D. in 2020 at Charlie Kirk's at Turning Point in Phoenix, and that's when I was first introduced to him. I like the selection once I think of it and the background. A bright guy. And he's been there, impoverished and addicted mother, and understands a lot of the things. What's happening in the poor parts of our country. The key is, though, I'm not convinced yet, and I don't know who's running the personnel for Trump in the future.
I know Project 2025, that's part of their mission, is to give him a list of names who they recommend putting in key positions. But he's got to have really good people this time, a good chief of staff. Get rid of half the generals and admirals, half the political appointees in the Defense Department, for example. I could talk another hour on this re-imaging plan that we have for the Pentagon, but these are changes. He knows what needs to be done. It's a matter of getting the right people with him and I'm actually convinced he's got those people in line.
Excellent comments. Paul Colonel Mike, what are your thoughts on? J.D? All right, let me go fast on this one. Okay, first of all, I'm impressed he's young.
He spoke a lot about Appalachia, you know, seven generations, eastern Kentucky. What shocked me was he didn't speak about the Great Energy State right next door, which is attached to eastern Kentucky, which is West Virginia Great Coal Country. He spoke about Pennsylvania, he spoke about Michigan, you know, for some reason, and number one is Ohio.
Number two is West Virginia on the opioid, the largest opioid crisis in America. Billions of dollars, of course, to West Virginia and Ohio. So I was surprised he didn't mention that, but, you know, having said that, he's a pretty sharp guy, okay? So I like the fact, you know, the younger people have something to look at.
It's not just, you know, the generic kind of crowd, you know, that the Republicans have. Although I will say this all right, I'm not impressed and I never was impressed with the Poison Ivy League of Harvard, and Yale never was impressed. The only thing I like about Yale. You know that, Eddie, there's pizza up there, but beside that, you know, they brought out Harry Torpenbaum to get up on the screen on the stage and talk about. And this is, you know, this is crazy because Trump said, we cannot criminalize political dissent.
But they pass laws about, you know, certain names or words. But this guy gets up on the stage, which I thought was ridiculous, Torpenbaum, and he talks about he's going to sue Harvard for anti-semitism. You didn't need that on this stage.
You did not need it, but that was the bad part. No, I would agree there. And so, Dr. Shoyer, you know, you're a good analyst.
You come across, and what are your viewpoints on J.D Vance? And whether that gives us any hint as to how Trump's going to select people for his administration? Well, he's a vote getter. I think. I think that's what you have to look at it first.
His background is empathetic, your empathy flows out of you, toward his mother and himself and his grandmother.
He's got a curriculum vitae, that's fine.
He's supposedly doing good things in the Senate. I was a little bit discouraged to hear Rubio say that he's been kind of the mentor for.
Vance.
I don't know, and he's an unknown entity and he looks sharp as hell. That's probably good though, pardon.
I said, That's probably good, though. Well, it may be good in terms of the election. Is it good? In turn, for being at Trump's disposal? Those are great points. Mike. You know, the point on Rubio is concerning in terms of being an advisor.
The other thing I mentioned briefly in the prior segment was J.
D Vance, like this model, and so many other Americans, had bought into this cognitive warfare run by the Democrats for such a long time. Because they know how to influence the mind, how to influence the thought of people. So they fed this stuff in perpetual basis, without response from Republicans for many years. But the fact that J.D woke up from this, and a number of other aspects, is promising.
Let me now turn to the assassination attempt, which is just a phenomenal, phenomenally mind-blowing event here in our nation. And let me go back and start with Major General Valley. You know, what are your views on the attempted assassination? Who should be held accountable? And was this gross negligence, or was it even more sinister, purposeful neglect? General Valley?
As we used to say in the military, piss poor planning.
But the other thing, you know, came to my mind, why in the hell didn't they have drones over an area?
$1,250. You buy a good drone, you fly it over, you put a secret service guy on a laptop in a tent, he can surveil the whole area. Don Bangino came up with that after I talked about it on the air, but it was not well planned, not well secured. There were plenty of indications that this young man was on site up to an hour ahead of time. People watched him.
People saw him up there with a rifle. And so who's accountable? who should be accountable here? Let me interject here. Ed. I want to get in here. Yeah, because remember, the 11 July sentencing, which they were going to put Trump in jail, was canceled because of the Supreme Court?
Now, this was an inside job. You may or may not agree with me, but let me give you the facts why. And I may run a little over number one. They left a lot of fingerprints. I spent about an hour talking to a guy that had a career in the black side of C.I.A. the Black side, OK.
And he told me, this is a guy he would have hired.
Now, because when you look in and things start coming out now, the things that are starting to come out, you look at something I just saw today. The assistant or deputy director of the FBI was within 20 yards of President Trump when this happened. She didn't flinch or duck or do anything. The FBI cleaned up that site operation where they took him down. They are trying to erase the fingerprints.
And I think this was an assassination, that because he wasn't in jail, they hurried up and they did it. Paul, you rightly said, well, they were lightly manned, et cetera. It was done deliberate. People shifted over to Jill Biden when she had a speech elsewhere. All these things are going to be reasons.
But I assure you, and I think the president knows it, that this was an inside job. If they don't, it's got to clearly be considered as a course of action. And there's a great point. Let me go to Mary here next. Because the deputy FBI director or assistant director, she was actually sitting right behind Trump, and so she was very close.
But, Mary, what are your thoughts in terms of the assassination attempt? Who should be held accountable? And, as Tom pointed out, he sees this as purposeful neglect. Do you see it as gross negligence, or what are your viewpoints?
This looks like an operation, and I'll tell you why. So here's this Matt Crooks that just graduated two months ago. He shows up the day before he bought 50 rounds. He was on their radar.
They had identified him three hours beforehand, They had seen him multiple times going around the building outside the designated area where he was allowed to be. They left the roof. Come on, you don't put snipers up on the roof because it's slanted.
Oh my gosh, our guys are such sissies, they can't walk on slanted roofs. No, you put them in the building, Mary, you put them in the building.
Yeah, but you put them on, Yeah, that's right, why don't you put them in the basement and have coffee? This is outrageous. Cheadle Kimberly Cheadle was working going back for Dick Cheney, who's working for Joe Biden, and then just recently for Jill Biden. Who just all of a sudden happened to have this event where they pulled all the security off.
There are no coincidences, by the way. They first tried to sell this guy as, Oh, he's this conservative, No, he's not. He was part of ACT Blue, he was part of progressive operations where he was supporting us.
Beyond that, there's something very interesting that has risen to the top. That is the fact that there was a Texas investment firm called Austin Private Wealth, LLC. They shorted Trump's stock, True Social, the day before 12 million shares, a put against 12 million shares now. Cheney's daughter's husband is involved. James Baker, connected to the Bushes, is involved in Austin Private Wealth, LLC.
So they short the stock and then they cancel it the next day after. The assassination does not go through. These are things that must be investigated. Cheadle should not be. You know, the idea that she's, whether she's going to talk or give a press conference, which she has not given or not, is ridiculous. She should be arrested for the things that took place and put under questioning. This is ludicrous, what's taking place.
No, absolutely right, Mary. Let me turn to Dr. Mike and then Colonel Mike on the same question here. Gross negligence, purposeless neglect. Who should be accountable? What are your thoughts, Dr?
SaWYER I think it's got to go to the White House, and especially to my orcas and DHS. We've seen too many of these things. You know, the Texas school massacre, that clearly was a democratic operation. They had 400 cops on the scene and they let all those kids die.
Why to go after guns? Kennedy Clearly, after all these years, that was a C.I.A. operation. It's got to be, it's got to be, you know, Trump's got to release those papers and go after these people. It's a, it's a. The attack on Trump was clearly not an oversight.
It clearly was planned. They got a patsy. The most important part of that operation was they killed him before he could talk.
And it's it's as night follows day. These people are murderers, premeditated murderers, and if they're in power, they're going to keep killing to get their power, to get to power. Those are powerful comments. I'm going to turn to Colonel Mike, and then I'm going to lead off of Colonel, I mean, Dr. Mike's for the last question here.
Colonel Mike, what are your thoughts? All right, it's alleged that this this lady, and it looked like it too. Behind him was the assistant director. Her name is Janine Digiuseppe. Okay?
And that's the one that was filming while the shot went off. Normally, reactions you go to the floor. The other thing that I saw, you know, they took, they had a second, a second chance to take them out. And if you look at the the suburban, the way the exit strategy was. I've been in, I don't know if you have, and I'm Mike, but I've been in them when there was a little bit of maybe a crisis. And you, you don't wait for two ladies to hold the door or not hold the door outside.
The exit strategy was, once he was in the car, Potus had put his head down. They had a stomp on the pedal and just take off and crash everything in front of them. That car, the exit car. The suburban that Trump was in took way too freaking long to the premises. Which means they had the shot, they had a shot for a second shot. You know what I'm saying?
No, you're right, I don't believe for one minute that kid, I don't believe I'm going to. I'm going to interrupt it. Cause we got less than about a minute and a half less. I want to get this okay.
I just going to say, that kid didn't shoot, there was a better shooter than that, all right, so this is going to be literally 15 second. Respond each cause.
We've got about a minute and a half left total here. What you're all talking about here is something that I've talked about for a long time with you all in this program here. A blood sport for absolute power. The question I want you to answer a very quick lightning round is, Are there any limitations to what the left will do to keep power? Let me go right down the line, Mary.
They will do anything to take power because they will hang, otherwise they are looking to take our guns. Great thank you, Colonel Mike.
Well, they're going to, they're going to, it's it's no holds barred, like you say, you got to go all the way. General McInerney, what are your thoughts? They will do anything they've already demonstrated, and you can see martial law, the election canceled, they are going to do anything.
Another assassination attempt, general. They will do anything, and they're planning that right now, 110 days, and they've got their plans ahead and they're going to try to execute them. That's why they have to be confronted at every opportunity.
And Dr. Shoyer? I agree with everyone, and I also worry that instead of going after Trump again, they started a world war. No, those are excellent comments.
I want to thank you all for joining on this round table today. You heard it here, folks. Absolute power, blood sport for absolute power. They will do anything to keep and hold on to power. Thanks for joining us on the mission.
The National Security Hour is the tip of the spear in the epic battle to defend the United States of America.
